- Irene (10/5): Solid budget stay with a great vibe — just pack mosquito repellent and be ready for a short walk from the BTS - Kloem Hostel impressed me with its cleanliness — the rooms and bathrooms were consistently well-maintained throughout my stay. The atmosphere was pleasant, with well-behaved guests and no disturbances at night. The facilities covered everything I needed, making it feel genuinely comfortable and home-like. The location works well if you’re okay with a short walk — it sits between the Phaya Thai (800 m away) and Ratchathewi (1.1kms away) BTS stations, giving you easy access to both. For the price, the value is outstanding. The staff were a highlight too — friendly, approachable, and genuinely helpful. The hostel is tucked down a very narrow lane, which makes cab drop-offs and pickups tricky. It’s also around 800–900m from Phaya Thai station — walkable, but worth knowing in advance, especially with luggage or in the heat. The mosquitoes were a real nuisance in the evenings. The common area is semi-open-air, which is a nice concept, but it means you can’t sit outside comfortably after dark without getting bitten.

- Jacqueline (8/5): Vraiment un très bel endroit! - Beaucoup d'espace commun avec des hamacs et coussins pour s'installer. Tout est très joli et bien agencé. Un havre de paix. Juste en face, il y a un parking de taxi et le train, donc l'environnement extérieur est un peu bof. Mais si en fait abstraction, c'est un bel endroit.

The common areas felt welcoming and relaxing with plenty of comfy furniture and fun elements like a net in the ceiling with pillows where you could lounge if you wanted to. The hostel also had 2 friendly cats. The toilets smelled at times. Ordered transport sometimes had trouble finding their way to the hostel or access the roads to the hostel.

- Meyer (9/5): Auberge conviviale et très propre - Cette auberge est la plus propre que j’ai jamais vue. Le personnel nettoie tous les jours, c’est super agréable de pouvoir marcher pied nu ! Le petit jardin offre un espace ouvert très reposant et il y a des tapis pour faire son yoga matinal 🧘♀️ C’est un super lieu pour faire des rencontres, discuter, se poser. Mention spéciale pour les petits dej, il y avait une option vegan et c’était assez orignal car ce sont des plats de Thaïlande. (Porridge œuf / porc, brochettes et riz etc) Malgré le bruit, le reste était parfait et j’ai vraiment pu profiter de temps calmes, merci à toute l’équipe ! Petit bémol pour la ligne de chemin de fer qui passe juste à coté, et pour l’isolation du bâtiment. En Thaïlande il n’y a pas besoin d’une bonne isolation car il fait toujours chaud, mais du coup il y a pas mal de bruit le soir avec les personnes qui parlent dans la pièce commune. Les murs entre les chambres sont également très fins, on entend tout ce qu’il se passe dans les chambres collées à la nôtre

They even have a nice tiny garden. The breakfast is also very good. It is next to the rail station so it can be loud. Also the walls are very thin so make sure you have your earplugs with you.

Beautiful small hostel with a nice green garden. You feel very peaceful there. Super clean and very friendly staff. They also serve a good breakfast. It is next to the rail station so it can be loud, also the walls are very thin from wood, so make sure you have earplugs with you.

It's pretty tucked away from the noise of Bangkok and the markets, but close enough to the MRT and restaurants. I didn't like the bathrooms, which have very little privacy imo. A lot of people there live in Bangkok part time so many are locals just going about their day. Bed space is comfy and sturdy.

Common area very clean and big. Showers very comfortable and clean and with hot water. Very near to the metro station, you can get direct train to the airport. 7eleven also walking distance from the hostel. Everything was Perfect! A bit far from the main atractions but this is not big deal.

I needed to use my computer and had no problems in the big table or patio. Also has hammocks if you want to relax. Traditional thai breakfast is included, together with snacks all day. The location could be better. Is right next to the train tracks and the neighbourhood looks a bit sketchy even though i felt safe all the time.

On a rainy day it feels like you are in a movie. It’s quite difficult to get a cab at the location. The bedroom was quite small, I couldn’t open my suitcase.

Beautiful design aesthetically but the female dorm room felt like a dungeon with no windows and painted completely all black and very very small so claustrophobic. I liked the common area. Location is a bit random for tourists but I like that. More local authentic experience. Dorm, check out time is wrong on booking.com and there was confusion with that, staff not very knowledgeable about the city, location could be too far for some from where they’d like to be

Many hammocks, encourage reading etc The access to the hostel is not the best. It is located in the slum area in Payathai. It is at the vicinity of trains and illegal housings along the railway. At first, I walk through the smelly market and narrow path following the google maps. After arriving, the staff told me that I can go through private path of Payathai plaza.

The area is also nice, a bit of a walk from the BTS but there is local charm. Only problem I had was the noise. Because the building has wooden walls you can hear people in other dorms coming and going and the doors are very loud. So its hard to sleep. If you are too noise sensitive I'd recommend getting a private. Management could include signs asking people to walk gently late at night and above all be gentle when closing doors. that was the only problem.

- 怡如 (6/5): Suitable for young visitors - Like the cleanliness of the house and room. The public facilities are good to use. Sound insulation is very bad. The talking voice and video sounds in the next room can be heard clearly. Which make very bad sleep quality.

- Sergei (9/5): Superb - A well-designed house, big & cozy sharing space, enough space and privacy in the dorm, good Infrastruktur, enough toilets. One of my favorite hostels in Bangkok. The location has it's charme. More a local place. But hard to reach for Grab. I had a bed directly to the door in the dorm. And the door is hard to open and very loud. It would be nice, if the curtains are darker and the door gets fixed.

The staff is very friendly and they really make you feel welcome. Nice touch with providing a local breakfast.

Hostel doesn’t have so many rooms, so it’s pretty chill and there are not so many guest to make noise. Architecture of the place it’s amazing. Also it’s nice where it’s situated. Breakfast could be a bit better, or changed from day to day, but was good tho.

- Pia-mari (7/5): Thank you Kloem, this will be my last hostel experience. - Clean. Staff are nice and accommodating. The walls are super thin. The sound leaks through the walls like water. The creek on the hallway floor will be heard by all. We had a group of noisy neighbors at 2am. Food were limited. No toiletries available, just a head to toe bath gel.
