suwdawg (8/5): Good visit. - We stayed there for a couple of nights before seeing a New Year’s Eve concert in town. Everyone from the front desk to the maids were nice and welcoming. This place is 7 or 8 years old but has a good location and very clean. Nice coming areas and continental breakfast has some good options. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 is because of the dark rooms which was what another reviewer mentioned as well which was the style at the time. And the bed wasn’t uncomfortable but wasn’t the most comfortable I’ve been in either. Other than that I would stay here again and would recommend.

cookie1261 (10/5): Home away from home.... - Springhill Suites Downtown Athens is home away from home. Once you stay a couple of times, the staff remembers you. Though the hotel is about 7-8 years old, it is kept up well and is very clean. The guest rooms can be very dark, which was the design at the time it was built. It is very convenient to the University as well as downtown. The staff is amazing! Alison, director of sales, is everywhere she is needed. She makes each person feel as though they are her favorite. Bri is the new manager of the hotel and has brought her style to the hotel which is nice. Lindsey and Isabella front managers both are very inviting to their guests. I have watched them both begin as a novice and move on to larger roles which they do well. You can't do without the engineers, Dennis and Doug. When needed both are lifesavers to make your stay even better. On the housekeeping in, Anna and Rosa supervisors, go above and beyond. Anna just won the hospitality award for Athens. It seems as though Roseanna and Nora are the ones who usually clean our room and both are so friendly and proud of their work. The main floor is kept clean by Hugo. But when needed, Hugo fills in for whatever is needed. The night auditors Edan and Patrick, may not be seen by many, but if you check out very early, you will see them keeping things straight and making sure your stay was what you expected. The kitchen crew led by Kim does a super job to have fresh hot food. Kathy, Lorraine and Sue with Kim do all they can do to make your breakfast and Tailgate experience a good one. The Bartender Frankie will know your name after she meets you. How she can do the bar and keep up with the crowd is amazing. There are a few front desk people that I have just met, Kevin, Yabbi, Reese, and Jade. I can tell that they too will fall in to being the Springhill Family. There are more at the Springhill Suites, I just don't know their names yet. However, with the culture that the management has, it will be soon when their names will be included as well.

juddtracy (10/5): EK UGA visit 2025 - This hotel is in a great spot downtown. Two blocks from campus and a block from all the downtown restaurants. It's a nice new feeling hotel. Great sized room for just the two of us. We're in town for a campus visit and it worked perfect for us. The staff is very friendly and helpful to all our needs.
RDCononver (8/5): Roomy and comfortable - My first time at the Springhill in Athens did not disappoint. It is a very new and well kept hotel with a friendly staff. My room was quite large with a great shower small living area a fantastic desk at which to work and a refrigerator with microwave available as well. The walls were a little thin, but nothing too bad everywhere was clean and overall service was excellent. If I had one complaint, it would be that the best breakfast was very basic with standard extended stay hotel fare. Coffee was fair (I’m a rich bold coffee person). The oatmeal was good and there were many toppings, eggs fresh and options for meats changed daily. It was a function of my appetite (wanted fresh fruit). Lastly, the bar area in the evening was relaxing and enjoyable with excellent service. I would definitely consider staying again for the overall quality and location.

TeamNeal4 (10/5): Best SpringHill Suites We’ve Stayed At – Great for UGA Visits or Downtown Access - We were pleasantly surprised by how exceptional this SpringHill Suites was. It’s easily the nicest one we’ve ever stayed at. If you’re touring the University of Georgia or want to be close to downtown Athens, this is a perfect spot. The location is great, and the value is even better. The hotel feels fresh and updated, with stylish rooms and fun, modern artwork throughout the lobby. There's even a full bar and a comfortable lounge area, which was a nice bonus. We had requested two connecting rooms, and the staff made sure that was taken care of without issue. They were incredibly accommodating from the moment we arrived. What really stood out was the front desk team. They were warm, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making guests feel at home. We were there during Spring Break and learned that some of the team members were hospitality students. Honestly, you would never know it. They carried themselves like seasoned pros and made our stay even more enjoyable. We were truly happy to be there and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend it for families, UGA visits, or anyone wanting a friendly, comfortable stay in Athens.

Jerrilyn (8/5): Clean and comfortable stay downtown. - The location to the downtown area is very good and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was pretty good. The layout of the room is awkward. When you’re opening the closet the door, it cuts off access to the far side of the bed and room. The glass barn door to the bathroom doesn’t allow a person to turn on the bathroom light at night without bothering a sleeper. The desk in the middle of the room was placed I’m guessing as a room divider, but it added to the awkwardness and for a suite, the room was small. The bed was comfortable.

LeslieI347 (10/5): Great hotel! - This was a fantastic hotel! The value for money was incredible, the rooms are spacious, clean and modern. It’s in a great location next to the university campus and within walking distance of several great restaurants. The staff were very friendly, and the lobby was beautiful and spacious. Lots of cute outdoor spaces, easy access to the parking garage and a great breakfast. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in.

Punke-bendt (8/5): Overall, a great hotel and we would likely stay there again. - Great location, staff was friendly and accommodating. Clean! A couple areas to improve: 1. The room and bathroom were dark, even with all the lights and lamps on. Particularly in the bathroom, I would have like brighter lights for putting on makeup. 2. Speaking of bathroom, I wish it had a vent to prevent the after-shower swamp. Not to mention stagnant odors that have nowhere to go after using the potty.

Robert (9/5): Great location, lovely rooms/facility, easy access to Athens/Downtown! - The location was excellent, right on the edge of downtown, walking distance to everything downtown, but still quiet. The staff was sweet and friendly, and the facilities were really nice -- lovely suites, nice bathrooms, pretty good breakfast. This is just personal preference. so it's not necessarily a complaint, but the beds were too soft for most of my family's liking. When they're that soft that they're not that comfortable, and the pillows had no heft, so it required two or three of them folded up to act like one regular pillow. Combined, that made for a less than great sleep for 3/4 of my family, and didn't allow for sitting up in bed to drink coffee in the morning or whatever, because there was just no support from the pillows. Like I said, though, that's personal taste. Also, the breakfast was pretty good, but the eggs and turkey sausage were very underwhelming - would've liked some bacon, and fresh-squeezed OJ would be a really nice touch, rather than just juice from a bag from a dispenser. That's personal taste, too, though, as the breakfast had more options than many hotels I've been to at a similar level -- and the toppings available for the oatmeal were really great.
