It was such a warm and inviting atmosphere, especially when compared to the other places I stayed during the trip, which were far more expensive. It truly made my final day memorable.

We were two families traveling together, and overall, it turned out to be a very peaceful and memorable experience. The biggest highlight of this property is undoubtedly its location and scenery. Nestled amidst nature, the views from the rooms are simply breathtaking—waking up to the misty hills and lush greenery was truly refreshing. It’s an ideal place if you’re looking to unwind and disconnect. The hospitality was equally impressive. The staff were extremely courteous, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. They made sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay. The food deserves special mention. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and showcased authentic Kerala cuisine beautifully. Some standout items we absolutely loved were the fish tawa fry, chemmeen (prawn) tawa fry, and beef roast—all prepared to perfection. A special mention to Chef Ram for his humility, warmth, and personal attention, which added a lovely touch to our dining experience. That said, there are a couple of areas where the resort could improve. The buffet breakfast spread felt somewhat limited and could benefit from more variety. Additionally, maintenance of the property could be better in certain areas to match the otherwise premium experience the resort offers. Overall, despite a few minor drawbacks, our stay was truly enjoyable. With its stunning surroundings, excellent service, and delicious food, this resort is definitely worth considering for a relaxing getaway in Thekkady. Highly recommended!

The staff is very courteous and the property manager Mr Prabhu, ensured that our stay was comfortable. The staff in the restaurant was also very kind and the executive chef, Mr Ram served us dishes to our taste. There is an infinity pool, though we were not able to use it because of the cool weather. There are several spots where one can click amazing photos. The staff was kind to click some shots of both of us. The resort is about 5 kms away from the town of Kumily, where the Periyar Tiger Reserve is, so once in the resort, you enjoy the facilities of the resort. About a km of the distance is totally uphill. Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. There should have been heating in the infinity pool. Being on a hilltop, the weather could get cool anytime.

- mumbaitraveller604 (10/5): A wonderful place to unwind ....perfect place, delicious food and wonderful staff - From the moment we booked to the time we left , every little detail was taken care of by the team, not easy for a large group of guests - front office with Revati, the restaurant staff( every one of them) , our wonderful chef Ram ( who ensured we had a wonderful cake for a birthday in the group, and churned out local delicacies at a short notice) the housekeeping staff ensured well stocked and clean rooms at alll times . The hotel golf cart and jeep driver who always patiently ferried the whole group ( 14 of us ) up and down from the base of the resort was always full of stories.... The spa was amazing with the therapists ensuring comfort through the procedures . A wonderful place to unwind with beautiful views from all rooms . Thanks to the hills and hues team for making our stay a comfortable one !

In particular, I want to thank Chef Ram and his team here for their skill and care in catering to the diverse needs of their clientele while also serving them authentic local delicacies. Tour operators James and baby shared a lot of culture/local knowledge to provide us a thoroughly enjoyable, informative and safe chatram+ kerala safari. In terms of areas of improvement, we felt like the resort can step up their scope of ownership to make the Periyar Tiger Reseve sight seeing logistics more seamless/efficient/premium. Otherwise barring some addressable minor inconveniences in room amenities, we enjoyed staying at the resort and wish the best for the resort and Thekkady/Kumily area tourism.

The staff makes sure you are as comfortable as you can get. Prompt services, good food makes the experience even more worth it. Chef Ram is very good at his work. He even served us a surprise complimentary dish which was not on the menu. To top it all, they had us cut a goodbye cake to wish us bon voyage.
