• annabel (10/5): Beautiful well maintained house and definitely wound recommend to anyone! - A lovely house to stay, with all the facilities, including pool towels etc. The views are amazing! As with everywhere in Madeira a hire is recommended however the views are amazing!

• Katya (9/5): Christmas holidays - The house is very spacious, and kitchen is very well equipped. The BBQ facility was great. The view of the ocean and the city from balcony were amazing. Multiple towels, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. The location is pretty central, and you can shortly get to Funchal and many attractions on the island. The beds were hard. It was pretty cool at December at the house, outside it was warmer. Unfortunately the pool and the weather were too cold (weather was 19 C top) and we couldn't really enjoy it.
• Perry (9/5): A great villa to share with family and friends - Key box easily found and opened to gain access, great size property with fantastic amenities/utilities. The host met us a couple of hours later to show us how things worked and was very freindly. The washing machine was used and appreciated and the pool provided hours of entertainment for the kids. Views were very good indeed and you could sit and watch planes come and go from Funchal airport with it being far enough away that the noise wasn't an issue. The kitchen near the pool is a great asset and we used the barbecue and pizza oven (a pizza peel would be beneficial, this was not provided). The pool was cleaned and well maintained and the property was spotlessly clean. The lounge was enormous! The property is at the top of a very steep hill so a hire car is a must (with plenty of power), or the use of a taxi. The second lounge seems unnecessary and it would work better as an additional bedroom in my opinion, I think this would attract more guests, the ground floor lounge room is huge and more than sufficient!

• Laura (10/5): Amazing!!! Perfect for a family holiday! - We loved the entire villa! Pool and pool house was perfect! Our favourite spot for morning coffee and evening drinks was on the terrace! Visiting the local pub for drinks and custard tarts was lovely! We didn’t like the hills very much, ha ha ha, but that’s the beautiful island of Madeira!

• Freddy (7/5): Nice accommodation, but it isn’t exactly as advertised. - possibly to bbq inside, the dishwasher and the washing machine. Laura, the hostess was very friendly. The discription on booking makes it better then it actually is. There isn’t a secure parking space but it’s mentioned in the facilities. Didn’t see a horse on the whole island, so neither at the accommodation. The was a dog by the neighbor who whoke us up many nights.

• Magali (5/5): Disappointing - The pool area with the small kitchen, we mostly lived here. The house is very well furnished so there’s absolutely everything you could need (except a coffee machine) Joao was really kind as well. Very noisy : the cars and the planes, landing and taking off. I knew the house was on a street and that the airport was very close but I decided to trust the previous comments and ratings. I could barely slept because of the cars and planes and when we wanted to rest at the swimming pool, it was never ever calm. Frankly it was painful but probably because I had high expectations because of the 9.4/10 rating which I do not understand. other point for us was the fact that we really struggled to reach house because the roads are very very abrupts. We were also a bit worried as the parking is not really a parking but the street. A neigh our told us to be careful because we could have our car injured. And last but not least, Laura was clearly upset because we couldn’t leave 1 hour earlier as she wanted. to help her we removed all the sheets and towels + the trash and started the cleaning (while Joao had told me not to) and she didn’t even say Thanks… so for us it was not the best experience in Madeira.
