Christine (6/5): Good location for a run to Christchurch airport but bed and couch need updating. - The property was clean, quiet and a well equipped kitchen, good bathroom. The bed and couch were way past the use by date. Old and soft. Almost impossible to get off the couch and the mattress was too soft. There was no chair to sit on. If these were updated the property would be great. The lawns were in need of attention.

Wendy (7/5): Low budget but clean - Good value for basic cheaper stay. Everything was nice and clean. Free washer next door. Dryer only $3 load. Nice and accessible. Close to new shopping area. Lovely couple managing this motel. They were friendly and kind. Knowledgeable recommendations given for the area and Island. No signage to find this facility. Our GPS brought us to an empty lot at the front of highway. After 3 trips around the block, we noticed a poster sign on ground which names Wayside motel suggesting it was down an alley type entrance behind the empty lot. Obviously owner of facility is not interested in investing any upgrades.a simple sign would be a start. NO working swimming pool on sight, yet it remains on all websites falsely advertising pool as a benefit. Our bedding was weathered and torn.

Das Apartment war top in Schuss, alles sauber, sehr groß und gleichzeitig sehr funktional. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Zudem gibt es eine gepflegte Waschmaschine, so dass wir mehrere Wäschen gemacht haben.

Very close to SH1 towards Lyttleton and an easy drive to Kaiapoi where we enjoyed breakfast. Very close to our event. Motel owner was very pleasant. Unit could have been aired to get rid of closed up smell. Other than that it had everything necessary and double doors opened out onto lawn. The unit was clean.

Jens (8/5): Ein entspannter Urlaub - gerne wieder in diesem Motel. - Lage des Motels in Woodend. Das Motel ist sehr sauber und der Vermieter sehr freundlich. Parkplatz ist direkt vor der Wohnung und kostenlos. In der Nähe gibt es Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants. Wir sind mit Preis/Leistung sehr zufrieden. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht.
rowena (9/5): Great place to stay. - I like that our unit is so cosy and great parking beside units. Shower is really big and great pressure. Beds are soft and warm. Restaurants and takeaways within a short walk. Everything was great.
Ann (7/5): Did the trick, as only required a sleepover - On route to my my destination. Last minute accommodation as nothing was available in previous towns. Warm welcome from proprietor. Friendly long term guest who was very happy staying there whilst working in the district. A couple of the heating appliances didn't work. Fairly basic and outdated for the price. Could do with a refresh

LES (9/5): Warm, comfortable and so close to ammenities. - We really like the location, it is so close to Takeaways and Restaurants. Parking is great with ample parking beside the units. Units are clean and really warm with double glazing. There is nothing to dislike

Carol (4/5): It was adequate for what we wanted. Had the weather been ok you could have made use of the great outside - The motel was handy to where we were based for the week. It was comfortable but we didn’t spend much time there. We were there for 7 nights. Had to ask for a new set of towels. Otherwise no service.Some of the hot points were not working and these days you need many. There were no rubbish bin liners in the bins. Full of un necessary furniture . The bathroom is very small and the shower soap dispenser was out of order
Lisa (10/5): GET THE SPA BATH ROOM - I love loved the spa bath!!! Even without the jets on it was like floating in complete bless! The host Mike was very welcoming, despite me mixing up the arrival time. He gave easy to follow spa directions and succinct orientation to the room on arrival. I liked that I got milk in one container to last my stay, not 20 little ones, and also that my car was parked right outside the door. Room is well laid out, I liked that there was a separate desk/workstation from the dining table. The location was cental to rangiora, Amberley and kaipoi, and a direct run to chch city. Very comfortable bed, quailty linen and electric blankets. Overall fantastic result at a reasonable price. I didnt like being woken after a late night. I know this came from a place of ensuring I had all I needed, and the lady was very apologetic when she knocked on the door. I would recommend letting staff know in advance if your not to be disturbed or even have something people can leave on their the door.
