- Kenneth (10/5): -
- Gino (10/5): - Todo muy limpio y lindisimo lugar Todo me gusto
- Jerry (8/5): - Omgeving, rustige sfeer, mooie waterval, smaakvol ingericht, goed ontbijt, goede bedden.
- Alice (8/5): - beautiful resort, lovely to dip into the waterfall
- Ibragim (9/5): -
- Marlo (9/5): Such a treasure. A little hard to get to but totally worth it. - Retreat tucked away in the jungle. Private waterfall was amazing. Nada
Obrovská a pohodlná postel, vše čisté.

- Bergeman (9/5): - Very peaceful place, this was my third time to the Elysiana., Will book again Each visit I book a different cabin. Each one is unique in its own way. The staff is very accommodating, we had some guest mid stay and we were able to switch our booking to a house. It was pleasant to be able to share the experience with our family I didn't mind, but may be to much hiking for some
- Brad (10/5): -
- Julia (8/5): Amazing clean and peacefull hidden paradise - The beauty of the surroundings like in the middle of the jungle with a beautifull walk to the cascada. X
- MarieClaude (10/5): - Le personnel hyper sympathique.

- marionsdx (9/5): - A gorgeous place tucked in the hills above Dominical, with lush gardens, dense forest and a gorgeous waterfall within 10 minutes' walk. We stayed in Puma, which felt very private and secluded. We woke up to a million birds singing. Walk or drive up the road a bit for a soda with delicious and cheap food, and a store next door where you can buy cheap cold beer. Beware: The road up to Cascada Elysiana is 5km of bumpy gravel, even before you reach the muddy driveway to the lodge. We did it with our little car but it wasn't fun.
- Jane (7/5): beautiful views and waterfall. Close proximity to waterfall Eco Chontales which is worth a visit. - The view from our house was outstanding, jungle and the waterfall. The house had everything we needed for our group. the kitchen has basic equipment, but we managed to prepare a simple dinner. We had the waterfall to ourselves. We also used the yoga deck in the morning, which was nice. The bed linens had a really terrible smell of mold and humidity as did the entire bedroom which made sleeping very uncomfortable. That was a real shame, as the bedrooms are quite nice. The breakfast was just a tiny bit of very basic gallo pinto, overcooked eggs and a slice of toasted white bread. Not great.
- Jacek (8/5): ogólnie miejsce przyjemne - wspaniałe doświadczenie odnośnie bycia częścią dżungli, otwarta kuchnia, taras i łazienka/toaleta (zaskakujące)
- Aguilar (7/5): -
- Hillary (9/5): Its a perfect getaway to disconnect with urban life - Jungle rooms, silence and the nature surround Roads to enter to the hotel, landslide
- Amelia (9/5): Superb -
- Dennis (8/5): Very good -
- Georgy (8/5): Very good -
- Eszter (9/5): Amazing location with its own waterfall! - It’s a huge property with a beautiful walking trail to a waterfall. Great view from in front of the cabin, sheets are freshly washed , everything is clean. Super cute common area. Mosquito net was completely broken. You can’t use the kitchen and it’s quite far from anywhere if you want to get a meal. In our bathroom the shower head gives a small electric shock if you touch it!
- David (8/5): Great except for the mattress - The location is great if you want to feel like you’re connecting with nature. Sounds of the tropical forrest during the nights make it special. The mattress was awful. It felt like you would sink into it as if it was some sort of foam material that would hold shape.
- Stefan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (9/5): Interesting, different, and excellent value. - Exactly as described, a cabin on the edge of the forest, different and interesting . Very pleasant and helpful staff, good breakfast and excellent value for money. A bit off the beaten track but all as described.
- Klem (9/5): Beautiful place. - It was forsure away from all the people
- Frida (10/5): Deeply relaxing - Beautiful location and property. The waterfall is gorgeous, highly recommend enjoying a morning bath there…
Includes wonderful typical breakfast and wonderful people as hosts. All good, but recommended to come with a 4x4
- Agnieszka (8/5): I loved it but there is a room for improvement - Staying in a tropical forest where since the morning you can watch exotic birds from a terrace is something very unique. For the price you pay it lacks a lot of details. Accommodation is in the middle of the jungle so your clothes get wet all the time and there is no place to hang them on to dry. There was no chair in the room, no clothes rack, no drying rope on the terrace. Additionally, the towels smelled strongly of humidity and were not changed even once.
Outdoors bathroom: there is only one anti mosquito bulb above the sink but none above the toilet; It is a tropical forest so insects are a big thing especially at night. Additionally, no place to put your clothes on not mentioning hanging a towel. I put my pajama and a towel next to a sink and it got all dirty.
Kitchen: if people are supposed to cook there, they will be washing dishes and there is no kitchen towel or a dish dryer rack.
Terrace: mosquito bulb on one side only. Two uncomfortable small stools to seat on, while it could be some comfortable chair you could sit and enjoy the view.
- Shanda (10/5): Perfect! - Beautiful property with an amazing waterfall. Nice reception area with breakfast included, books and fans. Filtered water and our cabina(Pantera) had A/C and a simple kitchen with small fridge on our patio! We loved it! Selena took good care of us :) My clothes would never dry 😂 Luckily I brought plenty.
- Bjorn (7/5): Remote location which is both a good and a bad thing. - The view is superb , beautiful remote setting. You will be able to disconnect and chill in this location.Had all the basics for self catering. The house/bedrooms where not particularly clean with lots of dust under the beds ( causing allergies ) and plenty dead and life bugs ( I know bugs can be expected in a location like this but one can at least expect the dead ones to be removed) The remote location is also the drawback. The three bedroom villa can only be reached by a very steep footpath that is quite a climb . Forget getting suitcases up there. If you are young and fit you are rewarded by an amazing view. If you have any mobility challenges or are older forget booking the three bed villa. The remote location is also its downfall. You have to dine at the accommodation as the facility itself recommend you do not drive at night due to the challenging roads. No dining service on Sunday which we did not find out till Sunday. Fixed same menu each day( We where told)
- Francesca (10/5): Definitely worth staying at Cascada Elysiana if you are looking for a relaxing and nature-oriented stay - Location: quiet, surrounded by nature with a direct access to the amazing catarata Elysiana
Staff: kind and always availible and never too invasive
- Osvaldo (6/5): Lovely place to rest and be surrounded by nature - The room, nature and waterfall around it. It wasn't too clean and the bathroom was open, but I felt like I could be seeing from anywhere or the other cabin above
- Isabela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Blanca (9/5): Stunning place with private waterfall - The place was beautiful both the room and the surrounding, it has a little trail to a beautiful waterfall that it's only accessible from the property.
Breakfast was included and we also asked for dinner, both were delicious. It's a bit isolated and the last part of the road is only accessible by 4x4, but you can park the car before that and walk a bit to the reception.
- Ronald (10/5): Loved the staff, the cabana, quiet in the jungle - Everything Nothing
- Mroz80 (9/5): Highly recommended experience :-) - Wonderful accommodation in the middle of a beautiful jungle-like garden (best reached by 4x4).
The tents are a really nice idea and you can see and hear different animals directly from the porch.
The owners were very friendly and the dinner was delicious (book in advance).
I would book again anytime. There was only one chair and no table in front of the tent.
A small fridge in the tent would be useful as the accommodation is quite remote and you can't keep things cool and fresh.
- Jenni (10/5): Seems like this place is the best kept secret in Costa Rica. - Location, facilities, outdoor shower, restaurant, staff... all absolutely amazing. There is something for everyone here, from glamping to gorgeous homes. We stayed in the family cabin and loved it. Great little yoga space and amazing restaurant plus absolutely fantastic hospitality. The waterfall was dry because it wasn't the rainy season, but the hike down was still beautiful. What a gem of a place. Thank you. We will be back! Just the fans in the room were not working so well.
- Gittipong (10/5): Exceptional - Setting was perfect and as described by hotel website Road to hotel not paved, small parking lot for non- 4X4 vehicles.
- Amanda (10/5): Jungle Seclusion 30-minutes away from the coast - Very idyllic stay at Cascada Elysiana, only wish it was longer! Loved the single room cabin with the outdoor shower. Everything felt very secluded, private, natural and clean. Interesting cabin architecture, and loved all of the light streaming in the windows each morning. Excellent breakfast overlooking gardens and hummingbirds. The staff made it feel very communal, and they did a great job of making sure we were well looked after. I would definitely consider returning even as a solo traveler for some quiet, peace, creative and meditation time. We rented a vehicle that wasn't able to make it up to the top of the parking space (farther up a hill), so it made it a bit challenging to carry in our luggage all the more as we arrived at 7pm and it was dark. Just be sure to expect a bit of a climb to get to the main building. Once you know it is there, it wasn't such a big deal.
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Cristina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donald (9/5): Superb -
- Elisa (10/5): It was a perfect stay! We enjoyed our little stay in this peace of heaven, wish it was longer! The waterfall next to the - Everything!
- Selva (8/5): Very good - Really feel in the jungle with lots of wildlife nearby. Had it's own waterfall which was beautiful. Good breakfast and kind staff. Very steep unmade drive to accommodation. Need to park at the bottom of the slope unless you have a 4 wheel drive. Booking.com app did not show that we had booked glamping tents rather than rooms. Could do with addressing this. Having said that the tents were fine and not too many bugs!
- Wilson (10/5): Exceptional - The private waterfall was serene and stunning. The gardens were a feast for the eyes and nose. Wonderfully helpful staff and volunteers.
- Laura (10/5): Jungle paradise - The meals prepared by the staff were amazing. Every breakfast tasted incredible and was fresh and nutritious. We had a little glitch with our air conditioning the first night and the staff was incredibly accommodating, offering alternative accommodations (a major upgrade) as well as a lovely dinner to compensate for our inconvenience. Some of the trails are not being maintained, but the ones that are maintained were amazing.
- Jurate (10/5): It was great - It's new and tiny and clean and with a fascinating view The kitchen wasn't equipped yet
- Hajnalka (10/5): Simply perfect! - Calm place to relax and turn off from the daily rush is perfect. Between the houses are big space, so you can have your privacy!!!! Nothing, only bit difficult to move inside the hotel but is not a problem due to the position of the place.
- Aneta (8/5): Very good - Beautiful place in jungle. Staff was so helpful and very nice.
- Barbora (7/5): Good - The receptionist Aurora was a big kidnest and hospitality. The strukture is a little old and would need a refresh.
- Marius (9/5): Unforgettable Stay with an amazing private waterfall - Amazing experience to stay “in the middle of the jungle”.
It’s an extraordinary stay in a treehouse which we ca. highly recommend. The private Waterfall is awesome, take the time and explore it! No mosquito protection.
- James (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous location in the mountains, not quite so hit as at sea level Shared toilet and shower, which I hadn't realised.
Rural setting means there are inevitably quite a few bugs in the rooms
- Ignacio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yamaiky (10/5): - Amazing place
- Kara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wojciech (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (5/5): Gorgeous waterfall but disappointing accommodations - not for kids or elderly - Gorgeous waterfall and hiking trails exceeded expectations. Delicious breakfast of rice and beans, eggs, fruit and coffee. Beautiful but rustic. Not a place for kids or anyone with physical limitations. Accommodations much more basic than expected. Had to walk 20 meters outside to bathroom and a different direction to showers - bring a flashlight and good walking shoes! One fan for large family bungalow made for a very warm night. Dinner is $15 per person for rice and lentils, no menu to choose from, not allowed to bring outside food or use the kitchen. Without 4x4 vehicle must walk 100 meters up extremely steep dirt road while carrying luggage. Required to take shoes off in buildings but beware of lots of biting ants. Wish all this had been spelled out more clearly online so we could have been better prepared. Lovely place if you have the right expectations and don’t have physical limitations.
- Piotr (10/5): Exceptional - Unique location in the middle of the wild forrest.
- Szilvia (10/5): pura vida - yoga, library, food and people and pets, who work here the room smelled a bit… I don’t know for what but Thai was a bit unpleasant. besides of this was everything great! would definitely stay here again. maybe in a different room ;)
- Esther (10/5): - Wonderful and peaceful stay - delicious home-cooked vegetarian meals, waterfall is beautiful and relaxing
- Cristhian (10/5): Exceptional - The sense of nature, clean air, and freedom.
The staff was really nice, and open to answering all the questions you ask them.
The trails to the waterfalls and spaces on the property are clearly mark
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - setting, staff, food
- Bergeman (9/5): Superb - Staff room private Wifi
- Nathan (10/5): Holy Amazeballs - This property was a highlight of my multiweek trip to Costa Rica. The road access to the property is quite adventurous, and you absolutely want a 4x4 to get here confidently... But wow. Once you get here. This. Is. The. Jungle. Palace!
Only forest stay I did that was better in Costa Rica was Finca Exotica down in Corcovado. However, Cascada Elysiana is much closer to San Jose and Liberia airport - so that is an advantage!
Take advantage of the breakfast and dinner! Do the hike to the private waterfall! And remember to take off your shoes before walking into the main building!
If considering between booking this hotel and another nearby... As long as you have a 4x4 to get here, this is the one to choose without hesitation!
