- Richard (7/5): Nice, but disappointing - Breakfast was good, location was good, parking could be better We checked in at approximately 2:30, and the clerk checked that I had requested a room away from the elevator. At NO time was an early check in fee mentioned. Then, at check out we noted a 25.00 fee added on our bill. This left us with a bad taste/bad final impression of the property.

Our room was very cold when we walked in. We thought a window was open, but it was the AC set at 61 degrees. It took a couple of hours to warm up. We also only had decaf coffee pods in the room.

Breakfast was poor to say the least, I would try the Hilton Garden Inn if I were coming back again or the Duray Inn on Settlers Ridge

I had to request new sheets and blankets which did not come so had to go to the front desk myself and ask for them. Left with two incorrect charges that totaled 500 dollars on my card that were not related to my stay. Mistakes happen but the hotel didn’t answer the phone for literal DAYS until I called Best Western corporate until it was finally resolved. Very disappointing stay.

The eggs were a little watery. I did enjoy the waffles. Overall it could have been better. Better pastries and breads, too. Maybe some hard boiled eggs as another option. Oops typed it above.

- Kendra (4/5): My experience - Chose this hotel because of the good reviews it had. I was very disappointed and grossed out. Will not be staying here again. Sheets were not cleaned from previous guest. Brown streak on sheet. Thought maybe it was a “stain”. I bring Clorox disinfectant wipes with me, the streak was not a permanent stain. Lots and lots of crumbs in the chair. Hotel staff didn’t want to compensate for the hassle and dirty room. Did give me a clean…I hope…sheet set. Shower curtain doesn’t come down far enough and water gets everywhere. Dirty spots in lots of places on walls etc.

- Mark (8/5): An okay hotel but with service issues - Overall the rooms were really clean and the hotel is close to many restaurants and stores. The biggest issues were at breakfast the attendent was not very attentive when items ran out. Also coffee was hard to come by when the machine kept needing its waste bucket cleaned out. Also had one working elevator. These issues were enough to keep this hotel from receiving a higher rating.

Of course nothing is ever perfect so I have a few suggestions: 1. Trim or eliminate the bushes in front of the sign on the entrance driveway ( hard to see).2. Could have had sugar free syrup at breakfast. 3. Could have had a few more varieties of cereal. 4. If travelling with someone, definitely need more hangers in the room. Lastly, the coffee machine is 24/7 and is the state of the art. I wish I had one! Picture attached!

There was a fan to help circulate air but it was too warm for me to comfortably work out. However, this wasn’t by any means a deal breaker. The overall hotel was clean and comfortable.
