Guest Reviews
- greycells (10/5): - What was there not to like!
The beds were excellent. The bathroom and the rest of the amenities were first class. The view was incredible. Back verandah with a cup of tea and biscuits watching the sun going down was incredible. Having to leave.
- Charlie Panos (10/5): Home away from home - Home away from home
Everything you need
Great location Nothing
- Sharalyn (9/5): Perfect for our stay to catch up and explore the area. - Perfect for relaxing and walking distance to everything with some of the best views of the NP. N/A
- Nicole (9/5): -
- Debra (10/5): Sublime! - Wow! What a place - easily one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed - the views were sublime and the fit-out (beautiful kitchen, high-tech washing machine and dryer etc) were awesome - things like milk, tea and shower gels, oil etc were very thoughtful and made it an ever nicer stay. Only suggestion I’d have is that the ask when departing is to put on the dishwasher not empty it (which in my experience is what is usually asked) as it meant we had to run the dishwasher the night before and not use anything in the morning as we were in a rush out. But otherwise was awesome
- Tom (10/5): Would stay here again! - Very modern and clean property in an excellent location. Superb views. Great kitchen and cooking tools. All good
- Mark (10/5): - Great location, beautiful outlook , walking distance to restaurants but private still. House well set out . Quiet !
- Julie (10/5): - Location and lovely home
- Ian (8/5): Beautiful house, great location - We loved the location. The views were amazing and we even had a wallaby, as well as several rabbits, visiting the garden. The house itself was very comfortable, clean and well-furnished. The kitchen equipment wasn't clean. The kettle and toaster were rusty, and the utensils were oily. Perhaps, if you disn't use the kitchen, you wouldn't notice these things, but had they been in better condition we may have given Driftwood a perfect score!
- Anita (10/5): Holiday magic with stunning views over Coles Bay to the Hazards. - Perfection in an amazing setting! We were travelling a 2 x couples and spent three nights in this magnificent property. Views were stunning and there was plenty of space to lounge and enjoy the surroundings. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed plus more. Excellent laundry facilities, easy parking. I wish we had stayed longer!
- Lennard (10/5): Super Ferienhaus - Ausblick
Ausstattung
- Boyd (7/5): Very nice property… but agency could be more customer centric - Very comfortable, private, and terrific amenities. 1) Rental agency supplied only 4 coffee pods for a week (and the pod type could not be purchased at any of the 4 grocery stores we went to w/in 30k)
2) Rental agency supplied only 1 garbage bag, and claimed this was a consumable,
3) Netflix did not work.
Agency attempted to recover, and made good on improvements in items 1/2 ( ;-) ]
- Jacquie (10/5): - Location was perfect. A short drive to Freycinet National Park. Had all the facilities that I needed- a home away from home. Very clean & styling was lovely. The view of the mountains from the bedroom - amazing! Book it you won’t regret it
- Saugato (10/5): Excellent high quality villa in Freycinet - Spectacular villa with a beautiful garden that had rabbits scurrying around. Right on the Freycinet waterfront. Super well equipped 2 bedroom villa with a large lounging space, highly recommended for a long stay
- Julia (10/5): Glorious views location and comfort - The location was superb. Opposite the water overlooking Freycinet NP. The spaciousness and consideration in ensuring guests have quality coffee/tea Internet was not consistent
- Anna (9/5): - Everything was first class. It was spotless. Stunning views front the living room and main bedroom. Excellent location.
- Dehne (9/5): Fabulous property with stunning views. - Beautiful modern property with stunning views. Spacious, very well equipped and excellent bathrooms. An unfortunate smell of smoke in the living area despite the slow combustion wood heater not having been used for 4 weeks (according to the house rules).
Also be aware that the second bedroom is not made up unless specifically requested.
- Julia (9/5): Comfortable and spacious home. - Great location. Very comfortable and spacious….great bathrooms It was a bit bland, not very cosy and the fireplace was very smelly….
- Sharyn (9/5): -
- Nicholas (10/5): Driftwood was a dream - We were amazed upon arriving at Driftwood: the location, the views and the perfect holiday house. After 1 week into an international trip, we were ready for some home comforts and Driftwood delivered in full. Wine on the porch overlooking the bay and the Hazard Mountains, grilling on the patio, and dinner at “home”. Wonderful. The location to the Freycinet National Park is maybe 5 minutes if you drive slowly. Perfect for hiking and taking in the natural beauty all around the property. Will certainly stay there again when in the area.
- Kelly (8/5): Very good -
- David (9/5): Stylish and comfortable bayside accommodation. - Location with stunning view of bay (complete with Tall Ship that was storm bound at anchor during our stay!)
Elegant layout and design.
Comfortable furnishing.
Comprehensive inventory of quality equipment.
Perfect for two couples (although we were only one couple).
Engaging fauna in the front garden - rabbits and wallabies! Nothing
- Paul (10/5): A wonderful location and superb facility - Everything was fantastic Nothing
- Sharon (10/5): Amenities and view exceptional - Big windows looking onto the Freycinet bay and mountain backdrop
Amenities like waters in glass bottles, hot choc, tea and shower products
- Mark (10/5): Tassie Road Trip - Wow! This is a dream house in an absolute stunning location. Loved the size of the house and the private walkway to the beach. Nothing to improve
- Susan (10/5): Molto perfecto!! - Everything. Especially the views. All perfect
- Hill (10/5): Couldn’t get a better location or accommodation. Just loved our stay. - Great location and house had everything you needed. Nothing
- Lynette (8/5): Very good -
- Liz (9/5): Really comfortable house making the most of stunning location - The absolutely stunning view from the main bedroom window
The fireplace
- Jane (10/5): Beautiful and very comfortable stay - Kitchen was well appointed. We mad3 our own breakfast with food we’d brought with us Nothing, this has been our favourite stay whilst in Tassie
- Jie (10/5): Excellent stay - We cooked by ourselves Location
- Jenny (10/5): First rate - good quality linen, towels; good heating throughout; excellent view; kitchen equipped with everything needed. All in all , highly rated
- Siew (9/5): Superb - Beautiful property. Has everything we needed. Water pressure was way too low
Would've been nice to have a king sized bed in one of the rooms.
- Catherine (9/5): Superb - Beautiful property, well equipped for our few days stay. Close to local amenities, with a great coffee shop and bakery 5 minutes down the road.
Amazing view from the bed in the master bedroom Tumble dryer not working, which was frustrating as we had picked the accommodation half way around our trip to enable us to wash clothing for the rest of the trip. No other solutions offered to us
- Jenny (7/5): lovely relaxing break with beautiful views and a well equiped kitchen - beautiful views I found the bed very uncomfortable
- Cathie (9/5): Peaceful - The location and grounds of the property are very peaceful. The 3pm check in. . Also there were too many emails from booking agent, the check in details were sent over too many texts and emails.
The entry doors were difficult to open .
- Wayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Josh (8/5): Very good -
- Christine (8/5): Fantastic views - Great views from bedroom and living room, very spacious and airy feel overall. Lovely garden too. Only there for a short stay didn't use kitchen aside from coffee machine, but well equipped.
Netflix for a movie was good.
Bed was very comfy, fab bathrooms too. 3pm check in and 10 am check out. We paid $1150 for effectively a day and a half. Wasn't long weekend either.
- Brett (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacqueline (7/5): Good - Beautiful house and location
Very comfortable Not happy with the policy that said we could not use the fireplace after September
We were there in October and was cold wet weather
There was plenty of wood and we rang and asked could we light the fire but they said no
There was alternative heating however air con dies not have the same ambience as a fireplace
The clothes dryer was not working
We did our washing and was no where to dry as raining outside, we had to call and ask them to provide clothes airer but was very small and had done wash for 4 adults so had to have washing draped around on furniture drying which also was not ideal , looked like a laundry
We cleaned lint filters out ourselves and they sent someone to try and get it working but was not successful
This was most expensive accommodation we have booked for entire trip in Tassie so was bit disappointing
- Kathryn (10/5): Perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful Coles Bay! - View was fabulous! Ensuite to each bedroom allowed privacy with friends sharing as well as TVs in each room. We loved the outside area sitting in the sunshine. Kitchen well stocked and beautiful. GPS took us to the wrong property.
- Carole (9/5): Superb -
- Mak (10/5): - Great place to stay when in Coles Bay. Close to all the sites and has all that you need for a great vacation. House nice and clean and WIFI is great as mobile reception in area is patchy.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Luxurious beach shack - We loved our stay in this luxurious, spacious beach house. Very comfortable and amazing, modern facilities.
