• Marina (10/5): Step back in time in this historical palazzo. - The host was accomodating to let us drop our bags off before check in. Liked the antiquity of the place, the location was beautiful and had a window with a view to the lake. Reception person was nice and helped me up the stairs with my bags.

Rõdul vaade oli aga piiratud, kuna rõdu jagatud teise korteriga pooleks suure seinaga. Kirikukell kohe maja vastas ja äratab igal hommikul kell 8. Sipelgad toas. Natuke väsinud.

Un grazie speciale al proprietario, Mario Barbini, per la sua grande disponibilità e gentilezza. Nonostante l’assenza dell’ascensore, ci ha aiutato con entusiasmo a portare i bagagli, cosa che abbiamo apprezzato molto. L’hotel è molto pulito e confortevole, perfetto anche per chi viaggia con bambini. Consigliatissimo! no

You are not just staying somewhere — you are living in a real palazzo. Space everywhere: to the left, to the right, high ceilings, rooms that seem to continue forever. At some point you may even wonder if you accidentally rented half of a Renaissance palace. Everything is arranged with great taste and harmony. No artificial “hotel design” — it feels authentic, elegant and very Italian. But if your dream interior is IKEA minimalism, flat-pack furniture and Allen keys, it’s probably better to walk past this place. Here the furniture has history. And most likely it was already here when IKEA was still just an idea in Sweden. The internet is weak

Nous aimons le principe de conservation du patrimoine, c’est aussi ce qui nous a incité à choisir cet établissement plutôt qu’un autre. La région mérite vraiment le détour. Je ne sais pas de quand date la restauration de l’immeuble mais elle est trop datée et souffre du manque d’entretien. La salle de bain présente des traces de moisissures, la poussière et les toiles d’araignées s’invitent partout (avec humour nous en avons conclu qu’elles étaient d’époque comme le reste), certaines prises de courant cassées n’étaient pas rassurantes. Nous sommes désolés que les photos de présentation ne reflètent pas vraiment notre suite « impériale ».

• GABRIELE (4/5): Esperienza sostanzialmente negativa per la struttura e per la mancanza di attenzioni dell'Host. - La posizione. Nonostante il check in on line, all’arrivo abbiamo avuto la suite solo dopo un’ora dall’orario previsto. Abbiamo atteso su una sedia al caldo dell’ingresso del palazzo. Quando siamo stati accompagnati nella suite Domenico posta al 2° piano abbiamo preso atto che la struttura non disponeva di un ascensore, fatto questo non segnalato sul sito e non comunicatoci nonostante avessi evidenziato alla prenotazione delle difficoltà di deambulazione di mia moglie. Inoltre la nostra suite aveva pure tre alti gradini per l’accesso al bagno, con i disagi immaginabili. Nel pomeriggio dello stesso giorno si è verificato un temporale e dopo poco è filtrata acqua dal tetto che ha allagato tutto il bagno. Ho avvertito subito l’Host che però non è intervenuto e non si è fatto sentire. La premura si è limitata a portare in tarda serata 2 tappetini da doccia per assorbire l’acqua e asciugare per terra, cosa che non facciamo nemmeno a casa nostra! Sinceramente se non avessimo pagato in anticipo per 3 notti avremmo lasciato la residenza la mattina seguente. Per il resto solo alcune brevi considerazioni. La dimora ed i mobili storici sono di effetto ma necessitano di una pulizia accurata vista la continua rotazione di persone diverse, soprattutto per le vecchie stoffe e i velluti delle poltrone e delle coperte. Carente lo stato di manutenzione generale, la seggetta rotta nel bagno che è anche privo di mensole e la zanzariera mancante nel soggiorno. Carente anche la sicurezza, l’accesso principale del palazzo avviene attraverso un cancello metallico apribile con un codice o con una chiave sia dall’esterno che dall’interno. Nel caso di un evento calamitoso se un ospite non ricorda il codice e non ha con se la chiave rimane bloccato all’interno. Nonostante anche un pranzo fatto presso l'altra struttura della proprietà il rapporto è rimasto impersonale e privo di attenzioni. Alla partenza ci saremmo aspettati almeno un un caffè offerto con delle scuse, che però non ci sono state, peccato!

• Denis & (10/5): Fabulous - Wow what an amazing place. Bang in the middle of town overlooking the lake and the church bell. The owner was very friendly. They also have a farm with restaurant and pool which is only 7 minutes drive away. Owner met us helped with our luggage and sorted us somewhere for free parking. Can't recommend this place enough. Surrounded by restaurants, small bars, and cafes not forgetting the beautiful ice cream cafe. Leaving

Difficoltà di parcheggio, nelle vicinanze è solo a pagamento per quello libero bisogna fare due passi in più e una bella salita.

• Stefano (10/5): Una particolare e bella esperienza - Bisogna soggiornare in questo hotel per capire l'atmosfera. Non è il classico hotel e il classico soggiorno. E' una piccola esperienza che la proprietà mette in condivisione con gli ospiti. metterei solo un paio di prodotti in bagno per il resto perfetto.

• Ermanno (9/5): Experience - Ritorno al passato con le comodità di oggi - Struttura "storica" quindi la valutazione dovrebbe essere fatto con altri parametri, andrebbe valutata per sua caratteristica storicità e per l'ambiente suggestivo. Siamo stati per capodanno e all'interno della struttura la temperatura era superiore all'aspettativa. Posizione fantastica perchè al centro del paese. Anche se qualche particolare si potrebbe migliorare la valutazione è più che positiva. Cose di poco conto che non vale la pena menzionare.

With a superb location we spent one night in the 2 bed penthouse apartment with private terrace overlooking the lake. It was breathtaking. Ignore any bad reviews and book because you will not be disappointed. Clean, huge rooms and comfy beds. Lovely host. Wish we could have stayed longer. That we didn’t book longer!

• Malandrino (10/5): Grande location. Impareggiabile Host. - Il Palazzo Barbini è, per distacco, la più bella struttura ricettiva del Borgo. L'interno della stessa rappresenta di per sè un'attrazione turistica. Le camere proiettano indietro nel tempo, lo stesso periodo cui appartiene la struttura. La differenza però la fa Mario, host impareggiabile, che - oltre ad essere a completa disposizione durante il soggiorno - ci è addirittura venuto a prendere alla stazione e si è tenuto in contatto con noi per darci ogni informazione utile in relazione alla permanenza presso Castiglione. Esperienza assolutamente da ripetere. Grazie di tutto.
