- Christine (10/5): Very nice and comfortable stay! - We liked the nicely grown garden, the patio in front of our bungalows and overall the whole arrangement of the property. Staff was super nice, service on point and we felt very welcome with our kids.

- Deina (10/5): - The rooms were big, clean, comfortable and air-conditioned! The host was so helpful and friendly. They allowed us to leave our bags in reception while we went on a morning safari on check-out day, and were happy for us to hang out while we waited for our taxi. They even gave us a late breakfast when we got back. Breakfast was delicious fresh fruit and scrambled eggs with toast. The wifi was really fast!

Ubytování je opravdu jed - Snadná dostupnost na pláž, ubytování se nachází přímo na hlavní třídě, kde je plno obchodů a restaurací. Rozhodně jsme ocenili klimatizaci na pokoji. Pobyt jsme si užili, nicméně bylo vidět, že fotografie, kterými se ubytovací zařízení prezentuje na Bookingu, jsou již starší, ne zcela aktuální.

- Carlotta (7/5): - Ottima posizione, presenza di aria condizionata e colazione buona e abbondante con frutta, uova e pane con burro e marmellata. Dimensioni della camera normali anche se un po' buia. Per me è sicuramente una nota negativa il non poter pagare con carta in caso di necessità, sopratutto una struttura presa con booking. Arugam Bay non è una zona isolata e povera, tutti i negozi, strutture e ristoranti hanno il pos. Struttura che sicuramente qualche anno fa era molto bella, ma ora è stata lasciata andare, avrebbe bisogno di manutenzione.

- Marni Jeff (10/5): - Absolutely loved staying here! Great location, right in the midst of the main drag, yet set back and quiet. Lots of birds in the gardens. The bungalows are set back from the main house. They are really well equipped with hanging space plenty of shelving to store bits and pieces. A-Bay is busy with tourists but still has a nice somewhat quirky atmosphere. Plenty of food options nearby. Friendly staff. Good simple breakfast, always with fresh fruit - thank you for a lovely stay Can't think of anything

- Tobias (8/5): - Sehr zentrale Lage, dennoch ruhig, Bett war gemütlich. Anlage wirkt in die Jahre gekommen, als wäre die Zeit irgendwann stehengeblieben. Hängematte und Holzliegen leider verdreckt und nicht nutzbar. Könnte hier und dort etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit bekommen.

- Alex Cervo (5/5): - Resort situato in ottima posizione, vicino alla spiaggia e alla zona dei locali, ma molto tranquillo in quanto non affaccia direttamente sulla strada. La struttura è pulita e il contesto carino, con molto verde. La colazione è ok, niente di eccezionale. Quando siamo arrivati in struttura, all'orario previsto per il check-in, la stanza che avevamo prenotato era stata data ad altre persone e non ce n'erano altre disponibili. Forse si erano persi la prenotazione, in ogni caso il titolare ha risolto il problema e quindi, oltre allo spavento iniziale, abbiamo subito solo un ritardo di un paio d'ore rispetto a quanto preventivato. La stanza si presenta poco illuminata, soprattutto la sera in quanto le lampade emettono una luce molto fioca. Uno dei due membri del personale presente era poco socievole, sembrava infastidito dalla nostra presenza.

Breakfast was very basic. Room small and the shower was only a sprinkle, and no temperature control. But fine enough if the weather is good :)
- Matthew (10/5): Pleasantly quiet oasis yet just steps away from the hustle and bustle of Arugam Bay - The Danish Villa is very conveniently located along the main road of Arugam Bay, yet is surprisingly quiet and hence a relaxing place to recharge at in Arugam Bay. It offers great value for your money. The building is not the most modern one in town, but it has character - there are comfy areas both inside and in the veranda to chill out at, and even though it was often very hot outside, the common areas are well ventilated and always felt cooler and hence more comfortable. The staff are very friendly and they also provide a decent breakfast (it was the same thing offered on both days i was there, but it's not an issue for me). -

Clean and nice rooms with good A/C which is much needed considering how hot it gets during the summer months. Great service. All of the staff is super welcoming and you always feel properly taken care of. Good breakfast. Would recommend anyone going to Aruguam Bay to stay at the Danish Villa!

Breakfast was not great and there was an odd smell coming from the bathroom. However the bathroom was clean, and the place is still good value for money.

- Sarah (9/5): Would come again! - It’s a really nice place to relax, hangout and central to everything. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The mattress was super comfortable and the room had a table and a lot of space for your clothes. You could easily stay here for a longer time. Could maybe be a tiny bit cleaner in the bathroom but otherwise than that everything was nice.

- Nikolas (9/5): Best place in Arugam Bay - I tried many places in Abay and this is by far the best. The lovely colonial style villa is located in a massive garden 100m away from the street. So first you enter the area for the Main Street like a hacienda.the building is very nice with plenty of chill out areas outside and a hall with sofas and board games inside. You can also use the kitchen. The staff is amazingly friendly. The rooms are decorated with love, offer an AC (helpful in Abay) and even hot showers not necessary). So if you don’t want or need to sleep directly on the beach, this villa is probably the best place to stay in Abay. They are about 100m next to a mosque so be prepared to be woken at 4 am by their call. But ear plugs help.
- Nina (8/5): Decent stay in Arugam Bay - The staff was beyond friendly and helpful all the time. The property is perfectly located in Arugam Bay with many restaurants and shops nearby. The garden is really nice and great to chill outside. Unfortunately, the bed was not that comfortable and the room was very dark as there was no window with daylight in it. Furthermore, there were just like two sockets in the room which was not ideal.

The staff was incredibly helpful, making my experience even better. It's great value for money, especially given its proximity to the beach and the fact that it's within walking distance to the surf point. Highly recommend!

The staff managing the property are professional and friendly, they were very prompt with and requests we had. The gardens and location is so peaceful, really felt like an escape away from the Main Street of Arugam Bay.

Also, we had a mosquito net in our room which was perfect due to the mosquitos. The lobby is open so it was smelling like smoke all the time as the people burn leaves multiple times during the day (all over the town)

- David (8/5): Bastante bien - En general bastante bien si lo comparamos con otros hoteles del alrededor. La casa esta en un jardín bonito y las habitaciones son silenciosas. Lo malo es que algunas de las habitaciones no dan las ventanas al exterior, no son muy grandes y no hay agua caliente. El inconveniente principal es que para ir a hacer surf, se encuentra un poco lejos. Lo positivo, el personal es amable y atento. La comida esta muy buena.
