Guest Reviews
- Melina (10/5): Good value for money great location very clean good Brekky good pool one of our favourite! - Best place ever monkeys right at the door amazing location good price everything was amazing with our little family the pool was lovely monkeys were also by the pool watching us Nothing everything was perfect
- monique (7/5): Prima.
- Sarah (8/5): -
- David (9/5): - Comfortable enough but very cheap, quite unique , and above all it’s LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION Huh
- Jennifer (1/5): Booked for 4 nights but stayed for 1 night and left - Breakfast was fine and location was very close to the monkey forest Room was dirty, run down, no fridge, no sofa. Tea and coffee facilities meant a kettle and cups only (no tea, coffee, spoons). Kettle had to be put on the floor to reach the power point.
- Maria (10/5): - The property is in a perfect location, but feels calm and away from Ubud busy traffic.
Seul point positif, l’emplacement, plein centre
Dommage
- Sara (4/5): The monkeys that held us hostage at the property were a better experience than the monkey forest. Overall pretty average - Central location , tasty breakfast, nice looking pool Room not super clean, decor super outdated, accosted by rouge monkeys the staff were scared of
- Betty (8/5): Très bon séjour - Hôtel au centre d’ubud
Personnel super
Personnel serviable
Accueillant
Chambre spacieuse
Proche de tous les commerces et restaurants
- Alessia (4/5): - Posizione e staff gentili Sporca, bagno orribile con muffa e in generale sporco
- Jessica (8/5): Very good - The location was useful for one night for where we needed to go. The outdoor is nice but it is budget place Bathroom setup is a bit weird and always wet, with the toilets basically in the shower.
- Samantha (8/5): Very good - Staff were amazing! Good Value for money.
- Rahayuningsih (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (6/5): Great breakfast basic good value accommodation - Location. Great deck space with garden view. It’s very basic but reflected in the really good price.
- Phillipa (9/5): Superb - The grounds are stunning. Right next to the monkey Park so if you like monkeys you are in for a treat.
Location is great, everything is right outside your door.
Lovely shops and restaurants everywhere.
Spa treatments everywhere and very cheap Breakfast very basic.
Room very basic
- Anabel (7/5): I would be back - Seeing the monkeys every time, great space for the room and toilet too It could be more clean, There was a lizard inside the toilet bin, and there was a cockroach as well. I have to say when I went to a member of staff to ask for help to take the cockroach they did it very fast and very well, I appreciate that
- Jason (8/5): Great location, monkeys are all around, for a 8 day stay it was worth it. - Monkeys outside my door and it’s close to the Main Street where everything is No showered curtain, I think work can be done to the bathroom items to make it nice. Things are loose connected to the wall ect.
- Lucy (5/5): Passable - Staff were friendly.
Area was very cool.
Location excellent. Bathroom was outdated.
Place was basic, in need of improvement.
- Neil (7/5): Good -
- Peter (10/5): Peaceful stay off Monkey Forrest Street - For us this is a gem off the Monkey Forrest Street. We had a deluxe room, cleaned every day, with comfortable bed, good air-conditioning, good wifi, mini bar, spacious bathroom, nice pool, beautiful gardens maintained every day. The hotel has a handy parking. Unlimited drinking water is provided. Now, the gardens: butterflies, birds, flying lizards, water monitor (varan) in the creek and the amazing, entertaining monkeys! Breakfast is great, guys try the noodles (yum). The staff is very friendly, attentive and helpful, communicate well and make your stay memorable. We would happily come back. Some people could be afraid of the monkeys that regularly visit gardens. We loved them and were waiting for their daily visits.
- Naresh (4/5): Disappointing -
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional - I really enjoyed my stay at Argasoka!
The staff were all very friendly, the place is very quiet while being in a busy street in Ubud. Perfect location to access anywhere in Ubud. I loved how much green space and trees there were, which was complete with a swimming pool!
Beautiful place to stay which was super cheap for what you get. I had a room with double bed, it's not super fancy but really good for the price. Rooms were cleaned daily. The staff were super helpful and let me leave some of my gear with them after checkout while I waited to travel to uluwatu later that evening. I highly recommend Agasoka!
Thank you Argasoka team! No bads things to say
- Anton (9/5): Super relaxed hideaway! - The location next to a little river, jungle feeling with monkeys playing and trying to conquer territory, but we also saw squirrels and a lizard and so tranquil and relaxed, good breakfast and nice pool.
- James (10/5): Exceptional - Great value for money, close to everything you need.
- Earl (8/5): Very good - The location was convenient for all tourist needs and was convenient to watch the the monkeys frolic in the comfort of your own bungalow veranda lovely stay
- Robyn (8/5): Enjoyable - Ok Ok
- Abdalmutal (2/5): - Dirty Un helpful
- Yu-hsin (7/5): Friendly staff - The room was very spacious. moldy pillows
- Lisa (8/5): Very good - Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful surroundings. The monkeys can be very naughty, taking your food and belongings.
- Jozef (8/5): Very good - Beautiful gardens with pool and eating area. Garden is huge with few steps to the lower bungalows. Monkeys from Monkey Forest are passing the garden almost all day, really nice to watch them, but do not leave anything out or do not eat out. 😉 Rooms could be cleaner, big spares at the doors so mosquitos coming in nonstop. Bathroom is huge, but not very clean. We had tube instead of shower what is not the best option.
- Ilaria (7/5): It’s ok if you wanna be in ubud close to city centre without spending so much money - The place is INTO the monkey forest, in ubud 😂 and you may find monkeys in the garden that are, actually, nice. The only thing: they stole everything on the terrace to play with but you can ask to the reception to bring them back! It’s funny! Also, The people that work there are really so kind and they clean our room everyday The rooms are not the high level, but the prive is competitive and you spend a ridiculous amount of money so it’s good!
- Judith (6/5): Pleasant -
- Chandos (6/5): Pretty good ok for 2 nights - Garden and bed was pretty good
Staff were really helpful The monkeys were a bit of worry - they took my breakfast and were so quick - you had to be aware not to leave your door open or things out
- Michael (10/5): Fabulous, wonderful, going to come again next year when I turn 70 years old to celebrate - The property has the most expansive garden to enjoy . It’s ok
To share with the monkeys who visit to say hello . Lovely style of bungalow just like I thought it would be There is nothing not to like so beautiful staff very pleasant
- Jem (10/5): - Nice place and staff upgraded room for free
- George (4/5): Disappointing -
- Vismaya (6/5): Pleasant -
- Bradley (8/5): Very good - Lots of restaurants nearby to try out and easy enough access to get to activities (monkey forest is just down the road). Close by to ubid palace and markets as well. Staff were very friendly and willing to help us out after leaving other accommodation that seemed a bit dodgy. Monkies from the nearby monkey forest stop by and got a bit angry with us one afternoon (not really the hotels fault). Access by road is hard in the afternoon's, traffic is hectic on the one way road again not the hotels fault.
- Roberta (8/5): Very good -
- Helen (7/5): Cheap but tolerable. Clean and quiet. - Quiet. Clean. Cleaned each day.
Nice trees and grass around. Handy to the town for eating. Loose tap over hand basin. When showering water leaked from somewhere across floor.
Monkeys occasionally create havoc outside.
- Kevin (4/5): If you like monkeys stealing your stuff, stay here! - Too many aggressive monkeys. Was unable to sit out on the balcony.
- Isao (9/5): It has always been my favorite stay in Ubud and it shall remain so. - Superb staff and great comfort for the price Monkeys were sometimes too invasive
- Martin (9/5): Superb -
- Indy (6/5): Pleasant - It was well located The matress was very hard and not sleepable.
You can also hear your neighbors talking because the roof isn’t connected to the walls.
- Leonita (5/5): Passable - Staff was helpful always.Rooms and bathrooms are large but washroom is stinking always, seems like toilet boil leaking. Beds are big which is good for big families.Overall everything is good except for hygiene standard is very bad. Washroom stinky always.Shower got low pressure.
- Andreas (7/5): Good -
- Jitka (7/5): Probably good value for the money but i would not choose it again. - Staff was very kind and helpful with everything and they helped me to find a taxi to another city. Bungalows are very old and not clean. I have seen a rat running under the roof from my bed. also the facilities are very old and not clean.
- Vakharia (9/5): Superb -
- Thammarat (7/5): Nice as always - Quietness, privacy, Internet, Garden, location close to main road Air-con not strong, air-con water leakage
- Tam (10/5): Exceptional - Friendliest staff , great price and beautiful resort,
We always stay here when are in UBUD
- Tam (10/5): Exceptional - Very good
- Thammarat (7/5): Value for money - Privacy, the garden, WiFi availability Air con was very weak this time. All others were ok.
- Georgia (8/5): Would definitely book here again - Great location - very close to lots of attractions, incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Monkeys being mean
- Lorenzo (9/5): Superb -
- Adk (3/5): Good location and old rooms - Outside garden and location was good. Staffs were helpful. Very old standard rooms . We moved to deluxe adding 100000 rupiyah more. Old property and renovation suggested.
- Barns (7/5): Good -
- David (8/5): Location suited us very well - comfort and facilities excellent for the price -
- Audrey (7/5): Good -
- Taryn (6/5): Could get better for the same price - Walking distance to markets and monkey forest.
Large rooms
Exceptional staff
Clean pool
Cheap breakfast Ground floor rooms are not on the ground floor and are accessible by steps that in part, aren't well lit.
Bathrooms need a decent scrub with some bleach due to stains on the bathtub.
Key to safe didn't work
TV didn't work
Bath mats werent supplied and had to ask for one
No shower curtain or screen which resulted in bathroom floor being wet
- Facundo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good -
- Rhea (9/5): Great stay, highly recommend! - The location was just out of the centre, literally a 5 minutes walk. The resort was beautiful and even had monkeys roaming around! The room was quiet, showers were hot all the time, and the fridge was a great facility to have.
WiFi connection throughout, swimming pool was clean, overall a lovely stay.
- Mariana (3/5): Poor - The only thing that is worth is the location. The rooms are not in good condition, the sheets and towers are very old! But what makes it worse is the smell that came from the bathroom… totally disgusting! They don't have a cot as well : (
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cas (8/5): Very good - Swimming Pool, amazing location, and very friendly personnel Bed were a bit hard and lots of open spaces for mosquitos to get in
- Jasmine (7/5): Fabulous - Staff are so so kind and friendly ! Shoutout to the lady at the front desk 😀 it’s a beautiful property with a large pool which is never busy We soon found out the reason the pool is never busy is due to the monkeys. Around 3 times a day monkeys come and raid the entire property. This is definitely not the hotels fault but something to be aware of if you don’t like monkeys! Apparently they don’t bite but I wouldn’t be so sure👀
- Rajesh (7/5): Good -
- Rojina (7/5): Good - Nice location, plenty of shops, restaurants just across the road, spacious room and bathroom.Nice little pool and monkey's entertaining our kids. musquitos- plenty of them in bathroom, bedroom and outdoor. We had our own electric musquito repplient which saved us. You would at least need x2 of them.
You need travel adapter as they don't provide it.
They also don't provide drinking water, it was a bit of hassle for us with little kids trying to buy bottles of water.
Breakfast is small and limited choice.
We had small bar fridge, electric kettle and 3 cups, no tea/coffee/sugar supplied.
- Anita (10/5): Great space tucked away - Great location basic but had everything we needed Little dark in room we had but was great
- Darryl (7/5): Good - Great location
- Erik (8/5): Very good -
- Thammarat (9/5): Value for money. I’ll definitely stay here again. - Strong Wi-Fi in deluxe double room and also around the premise, this is different from current rating for Wi-Fi; big garden; quietness and privacy; helpful staff; strong air-con; large swimming pool A bit far from Jl. Ubud Raya; limited choice of breakfast
- D'agnanno (5/5): Passable - Breakfast standard no many choices. Towels were never changed. Room never cleaned up exept beds. No extra covers available
- Bridget (3/5): Over priced for what you get. The bathrooms really need some attention. - Good location. Air con. Pool. Old. Dirty accommodation. Dirty bathrooms. Shower was average. Not good value for money.
- Eva (10/5): Great location, very friendly staff - The location is really great. Very close to Monkey forest and also to the center of Ubud. Also breakfast was good. It was very special to see monkeys playing in the garden in the morning. Would love to come again. -
- Mélanie (7/5): Good -
- Sreekumar (5/5): Pleasant Stay Near Monkey forest. - Location was on spot. everything was at 5-10 mins walking distance. Shopping center, restaurants, super markets, atms, tourist spots, travel guide company.
Property was full of trees and monkeys. It was beautiful.
Wifi was working fine. there were different connections for reception area and our rooms.
Breakfast was not included in our room package so i can not say anything out it. 1. They gave us room which was located very end of this property. There were problems with door locks and gaps in between main door. there were too many monkeys since it was located at the end of the property.
2. Our room has lot of smoky smell. like previous guest just smoked 10 packs of cigarettes. we asked them to put room freshener and they did.
3. They asked for upfront payment while check-in.
- Amul (6/5): Only location. - Staff Property doesn’t give us a single water bottle it is really very disrespectful
- Nick (6/5): Pleasant - The staff very open to making changes. Friendly always. It rained non-stop for 48hrs, which was disapponting from making the most of time in Ubud.
THE MONKEYS. Can be really quite intimidating and will take anything left unattended outside the room on balconies and even snuck into my room, while i was resting. This is more an issue for Ubud than hotel per se, but if you are scared of monkey's, there may be places a little further away from monkey forest which have fewer visits
- Camila (8/5): Very good -
- Lucie (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location, 10min walking to the monkey forest and the market 👍 nice staff, beautiful place and comfortable
- Dariusz (9/5): Superb -
- Wael (8/5): Very good -
- Dinesh (6/5): Overall a good stay execpt for a few issues (Noisy aircon / Broken shower / Gaps in the main door) - Location: Very good, close to Monkey forest and central Ubud. Rooms were big. Beds were clean and cover/sheets OK.
2 stands was provided to dry clothes. Views around are lush with greenary.
SMART TV was available.
Limited breakfast options, but food quality was OK.
Staff were very polite and helpful 1. The washroom door took a lot of force to open/close (No lock).
2. Shower head was broken, no bidet available to bath.
3. The main door to the room could not close completely (due to a crack) and lizards / mosquitos got through.
4. Wifi speed was slow.
5. Complimentary water could be provided at an additional cost.
6. The wardrobe provided had doors misaligned and hence could not be used / locked.
7. The aircon was noisy.
8. Bathtub water drainage was choked/faulty.
9. Gangs of monkeys raid the place multiple times a day.
- Ella (6/5): Pleasant enough - Great location, monkeys on the property were cute. Bed was comfortable enough and the room was quite large. The staff were very helpful and kind. Lots of very large ants, bugs and geckos in the room. Bathroom was quite outdated and rundown. Some stains on the bedsheets.
- Rujul (4/5): Disappointing - The villa is beautiful and location is great, especially for vegetarians as Indian restaurant is right next to it. no facilities as compared to the price paid. no full mirror. no amenities. not even single bottle of drinking water.
- Daniela (5/5): Passable -
- Annapalma (9/5): Super - The structure, rooms and pool are really good. We had one double standard room and one family superior room.
The family superior room was very big and nice.
The garden and the pool are amazing, the breakfast is correct, and you are at 5min by foot from the monkey forest and 15min from the palace and the center of ubud.
The monkey in the garden are funny and not aggressive if you don't have food in your hand. Unfortunately the standard room was not the same as the pictures in booking, it was not really good, small and you can hear your neighbour because you share the same sonar space, so no intimacy.
- Ilse (10/5): Exceptional - The rooms were nice. It was in the centre almost of Ubud with everything you need nearby.
- Abby (10/5): Exceptional -
- Abby (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angelina (9/5): all in all we loved our stay, good value, very nice pool and pretty greenery all around the property, we loved seeing th - pool was beautiful, nice big rooms, awesome location some stains on the bed sheets and no shower curtain makes it difficult to shower without making a mess
