- Katherine (9/5): - Rooms were large and offered space to chill out, and like a lot of accommodation in Taiwan, each floor has a hot/cold water dispenser. The location is close by to the main bus station area and between both 7-11s, with one of them being open 24/7. The rooms at the front of the property have bathrooms facing the street so you might want to consider showering with the blinds down which is a bit weird. There's no laundry on site but there the staff member showed us that a coin operated laundry is about 200m away.

We had nice breakfast delivered in a basket to the room. Each day different :) We had also dinners included and they were arranged in local restaurants, so we could try various types of food. It is very convenient location, close to bus station, boat pier, and amenities.

- Jeffrey (10/5): Spent a day and night at this B&B to explore Sun Moon Lake. Would definitely stay here again in the future. - Host was very welcoming and helpful. Location was great.
- Shaina (8/5): Very nice guesthouse, but ask about the sewer smell before booking. If it’s fixed I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. - This property would’ve easily been a 10/10, if not for one thing: the smell of the bathroom. We were in the family room just behind the secret bookcase door next to reception (which was cool). The owner/manager Wendy was truly amazing: always smiling and helpful and so friendly. She helped us organize bike rentals, boat tickets, and plan the few days we had at the lake. The mattresses rested on the floor and were comfortable, the ACs worked great, the place was super clean. The shower was hot and water pressure was great. We had daily tea and cookies stocked in the common area to make each morning. The only bathroom, on the top floor and unfortunately sharing a space with the only common seating area, smelled like a sewer most of the time, making it very difficult for us to hang out there. Also, there aren’t any windows in the unit so we couldn’t open them to air it out using a draft. Wendy tried to fix the smell, but it probably isn’t fixable, as it appears to be related to the old pipes in an old building in an old neighborhood—even the street outside seemed to smell like sewer more than other areas around the lake.

A good bike rental shop is right in front of the house – definitely do the loop around the lake. Very friendly hostess who gives lots of tips and recommendations for places to eat. Overall, perfect! The property itself was great, as was the host, but we wouldn’t necessarily recommend to take the half board. To be honest the food in and around sun Moon Lake isn’t great, especially given the highest standards you find almost everywhere in Taiwan.. With the with the half board, you get a voucher for a nearby restaurant for dinner. The food that is fine but not exceptional. So we would recommend going out on your own.

I really like the rooms and the location is excellent for all activities and closed to bus stop. The only one thing is that there are no windows for the rooms. But I understand it is because the building structure.

Having large luggage is no issue since the hotel has elevator. There is plenty of nice eateries right downstairs. The lobby is a tea shop so it is alway nice to smell nice tea fragrance whenever you are back from activities around Sun Moon Lake. The staff is friendly and helpful with places to go around the area. The room is spacious and cozy. Nothing.. do note that there is no view from this hotel since it is at the shopping and food street.

The Hotel owner is so Sweet and helped us with everything (Restaurants, cheaper Ferry, Taxi, bikes) On top of that she made us tea in her tea Store which was very delicious We even got a free room Upgrade from her! I would recommend this hotel to everyone visiting sun Moon Lake

- Aileen (10/5): Highly recommend - This place is amazing! The owner was kind and helpful, giving us video instructions for entering as they would not be there upon our arrival. The family room we booked had 3 stories, two beds on both the main floor and second floor, and then bathrooms at the top floor. It was spacious and quiet, but close to everything! A short walk to the waterfront, to restaurants and shopping, and to the bus station for our trip back to Taichung the next day. The owner also went out of their way to offer some restaurant recommendations and we had a great dinner at 碼啡館

The property was located right next to the bus stop, and a few mins from the pier making it easy to visit attractions. The room was clean and spacious and one of the best that I've stayed at in Taiwan so far.

- Kalyana (10/5): 100% woukd recommend to friends and family. - Cant beat the location that is just 50m from the tourist shuttle bus stop from Taichung. The room and bathroom was super spacious, clean and homey. The owner was also a real gem! Very good communication, friendly and was understanding when a tech issue didnt allow my credit card to be charged. The minute you walk into the reception you are hit with the amazing smell of tea! The bike shop across the road also gives you a discount when you tell them youre staying here. The one teeny downside, and I imagine this is just something that’s normal for Taiwan, is that there’a no toilet paper.

- Michelle (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at Sun Moon Tea B&B — easily the best place we stayed during our trip to Taiwan! Wendy was such a kind and welcoming host. We arrived really early, but she let us check in right away and even treated us to delicious welcome teas (the sweet black tea is a must-try!). She also upgraded us to a bigger room for free, which was such a nice surprise. Wendy gave us great tips on what to do in the area and recommended some fantastic restaurants nearby — some even had English and also vegetarian menus . The room was super clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend staying here! -
- Carlton (10/5): - Our stay at the Sun Moon Tea Hotel was perfect. The entire hotel was spotless and very quiet. Our host was slso very friendly and replied promptly to all my questions prior to our arrival. During our stay, she was also very helpful with suggestions and information. We were upgraded to a suite and the suite was amazing. I would book here again without hesitation.

- Eugene (10/5): - The property is very convenient, just about 100 meters from the Sun and Moon Lake bus stop. There are a lot of shops and restaurants on the street. The room is very clean and quiet. The owner is very friendly and explain things in detail. She provided advice on transportation and tour options and also sold the boat ticket at discount price. I will definitely stay in this place next time I visit Taiwan.

Nous avions une chambre familiale pour 5 sur 3 niveaux, à noter sans fenêtre, ce qui ne nous a pas gêné, on était tout le temps à l'extérieur pour profiter du lac. - Julie (10/5): - This is a charming B&B with a super friendly owner. Wendy greeted us very warmly with a welcome drink of tea, gave us activity and restaurant suggestions, and treated us very kindly throughout our stay. As a family of six, we stayed in the deluxe loft, two bedrooms and had plenty of space. There are three levels that you access with stairs and you will find two toilets, two showers, two sinks, and a bath on the third level. There are no doors except in the bathrooms and no windows. There is a mini fridge, AC, water warmer for tea, and a big television. It had everything we needed, was super clean and cozy.
- Mateusz (10/5): Exceptional - Our best accommodation in Taiwan. Clean, comfortable and well-equipped room. However, the biggest advantage of this B&B is a fantastic host who made sure that our stay was excellent. Upon arrival she welcomed us with tea and sweets and during our entire stay helped us plan our time by sharing tips and recommendations. Whether it's bus timetables or hiking trails, she really knows the area inside out! Thanks for being such a great host! Everything was great

Convenience water refill next to elevator on each floor. Small room on 4th floor to take a video call while my friend is sleeping.
