Guest Reviews
- Ann (10/5): Beau séjour 🤩 - Très propre et confortable.
- Julie (9/5): - Tour
- Diana (4/5): Comfortable for most part but would not choose again. Over priced for what we got. - It was large, bed comfortable nice shower. It was cold and did not seem to have any obvious places for central air. There were no cupboards or drawers a few hangers for coats jackets on entering. The towel rail was too small for even one of the bath towels nowhere to hang hand towel. Not a single hook in bathroom for pjs or bathrobes. The bathroom was huge and had room for many more rails and hooks. The lighting was almost non existent, no bedside lights.
- DanR (9/5): Quebec City La Gare 3 guests - Great location. Comfortable beds. Spacious. Good sized, well-appointed kitchen. Patio. Nice high ceilings. All furnishings in very good condition. - Came in by train from Montreal four hours before check-in. No bag drop facilities or reception desk available. Had to walk about 10 minutes along a busy road with terrible sidewalks to get to a Les Lofts branch with a reception desk. Rather surly staff.
- No coffee provided in the unit.
- "bedrooms" had no windows, making them concerning from a fire safety perspective.
- Alyson (9/5): -
- philippe (9/5): Bon emplacement, confort, original.
- Susan (10/5): Cannot really fault a thing. - Spacious and light and airy. Location great for the train but also fir around Quebec old town. Nothing
- Patricia (10/5): Logement incroyable !
- Sandra (8/5): -
- patrick (10/5): -
- Tracey (10/5): Absolutely awesome property - We loved everything about this stay.
Such a unique experience staying right in the train station.
No train noise at all, you really wouldn't know you were so close.
It's so roomy, and the kitchen has everything needed.
Highly recommend this property.
- Balland (8/5): -
- Teck Siong (10/5): Excellent place to stay with best location, clean and quiet place. - The location is just next to the VIA railway station of Quebec. The unit is big, especially the bathroom, the washing machine and the dryer. Those is next to the railway but was quiet. As the unit is too big, it was a bit cold in the room.
- Marito (10/5): - Todo esta excelente
- Michel (9/5): -
- Jessica G-D (10/5): - Le grand loft, plafond haut, bien insonorisé, belle grande douche. Bien équipé
- Tommy (8/5): Utmärkt läge. Enkel incheckning elektroniskt dagen innan.
- Robert (9/5): - Excellent apartment; fully equipped kitchen; comfortable bed Outside entrance difficult to negotiate, due to ice & snow. Pathway to front entrance slippery & dangerous.
- Luc (10/5): - très confortable et bien situé
- Andrée (9/5): -
- Roberto (10/5): - Todo.
- Karen (7/5): Overall, a wonderful place to stay in a fabulous city - Location was incredibly convenient! Access was very easy and the communication with Customer Service though a little bit frustrating because of the language barrier was overall well done The handheld shower looked good, but was placed in such a way that the only direction it could spray was outside of the shower because of the way the bar was installed. There were no instructions for the thermostat which was a little frustrating and we were given the wrong address for the parking which turned out to be directly across from the building, but it took us an hour and a half to find it.

- Pierre (10/5): -
- Powell (9/5): -
- RickLadd60 (9/5): -
- Johana (7/5): Great location and spacious room but lacked small basics. - It was spacious, modern, clean, and location was great. It would have been helpful if the property came with some of the basics, such as small laundry detergent and coffee so as to not have to go out and purchase.
- ALLA12 (9/5): - Location-right inside the station. It would be nice to provide some coffee and tea bags.
- Graham (9/5): Handy having a self contained unit. - Convenient location especially when train arrived 7 hours late.
Also walking distance to cruise terminal and Old Quebec. Insufficient lighting. Too dark in bathroom to read dials on washing machine/drier.
No supermarkets nearby.
- Therry (9/5): Very nice location. - This property is very well located and close to everything. This was our second stay at the same location. If I would make one suggestion needs to add towels for the kitchen.
- Carole (10/5): - Location, cleanliness, amenities,
- Zakiah (9/5): -
- Maurice (10/5): -
- Susan (9/5): - Excellent, spacious, beautiful decor. Loved the second entry door to the back patio. It would be advantageous to have a second mirror outside of the bathroom for use when someone is showering.
- AgentHN (10/5): -
- Esther (2/5): Stain on the sheet - The sheet had a huge stain on it which is a huge sanitary concern. The water takes a while to get hot. Location is convenient.
- Susan (7/5): Overall, very good would definitely recommend - It was clean, spacious, good location. To dark, in bathroom, toilet needed to be attached better to the floor (but that did not influence rating). Needed to have paper towels and maybe dish soap in kitchen.
- Gillian (8/5): Convenient location for the station - These lofts are within the train station, so really convenient for onward travel.
They were remarkably quiet given their location & proximity to a main road.
Well equipped & lots of space, including a small outdoor terrace which we didn't use, but would have in the summer. The lofts have been repurposed from the station & still have the station floor tiles so it feels a little functional.
The sofa bed is not very comfortable to sit on, but as a city stop over this was not too much of a problem.
Lighting in the bathroom is not the brightest.
- Rebecca (9/5): - Ebenerdig, einfaches Checkin, genug Platz, Steakhouse und Bahnhof im Haus
- Guilherme (9/5): Great space and very clean! Walking distance from the main touristic points! -
- Leigh (9/5): Can’t beat the location - The location was absolutely fantastic. We had an early train departure and staying at the station apartments was brilliant. It was also very spacious and well set up. The only small complaint was not having any tea/coffee/milk left.
- Nancy (8/5): Clean and comfy, very convenient to the VIA rail station. - The unit was spacious and clean. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was large with laundry machines (we didn’t need them but very nice to have in accommodation). While the kitchen was well stocked with expected items, it was disappointing that no coffee or tea was provided. For a single night’s stay it didn’t make sense to source groceries, so basic hot drink amenities would have been appreciated.
- Daniel (10/5): - Got a little hot in the bedroom unless I kept the bedroom door wide open, but was still warm.
- John (9/5): Good location. Attentive staff.. - Great location. Nothing
- Patricia (6/5): Overall, not good value for money. In fact, quite expensive. - Location Although there’s a kitchen which is well equipped, some tea bags and coffee could at least have been provided like in a hotel room especially for the price we paid. Some basic instructions on how to use the kitchen equipment ie the stove to boil water would have been helpful. It’s also not possible to leave luggage at property if you come in a tad early. Have to drop at the office which is at another location and not convenient at all. Finally, it’s not possible to get out of the premises if you’re leaving very early. All the entrances at the train station are locked! Had to leave through the emergency fire exit!
- Jean-Sebastien (6/5): - Was clean and neat Over heated. Climatisation was not sufficient to cool the place. Stuck at 25…
- Elizabeth (10/5): Great location, immaculately clean and well designed. I would 100% stay again! - The location was amazing for taking an early morning train. It was immaculately clean and well designed…very modern. I loved everything but it would have been nice to have had directions for how to work the tv and how to add an app.
- Matthew (10/5): - Great space for an overnight to catch an early train. Close to good restaurants. Access to unit was easy. Patio space outside is nice for summer time.
- Rommel jimenez (8/5): - Really good booking!
- Cindi (10/5): Would stay here again ina heartbeat! - Super spacious and well-equipped.
- WAKANA (9/5): - Having the room in the Palais station made it very comfortable, as we did not have to carry our heavy luggage up the hill of Quebec. The rooms are equipped with everything you need, so even if you are staying for a long time, you will be able to start your life without difficulty.
Also, the owner was very helpful. We had a little trouble on the first day, but thanks to the quick response we were able to finish our trip safely and securely. Thank you very much. There is nothing special to mention, but I would venture to say that I could not open the curtains even during the daytime because if I opened them, I would be in full view from the outside.
- Shari (9/5): Great location with all of the amenities that one could need. - Excellent location, especially if you arrived or were departing by train as it is right beside station. No noise in unit at all. Shower was excellent, very nice kitchen with everything that you might need, though we didn't really use it. Plenty of glassware. TV worked well and was easy to use. We walked everywhere, including the old city. There is a grocery and liquor store within about 5 - 10 min walk. I liked that an option was offered for luggage storage, though it was a bit of a walk. An offsite location for luggage storage is still preferable to no options which is often the case with apartment-style accommodations.
- Gerardo (8/5): good place to stay in the summer - too hot in the room when the door is closed. I am not sure if there is an air vent in the room. There is no thermostat in the room.
- Alan (4/5): Loved Quebec but wouldn’t return to Les Lofts. - Ease of access to the old town Felt more like a motel room than a quality apartment
- Andrea (9/5): - Ubicado en la estación de tren. Cómodo y limpio. Nada
- patti s (6/5): No one to ask for help - The location is superb being located within the train station building, it was very convenient.
Rooms are dark, especially the bathroom (for make up. Etc). Television acted up and couldn't get to work until second day. The couch is the most uncomfortable to sit on and cushions slide around. It does make a sofa bed which we didn't need, but I wonder how comfortable it would be to sleep on.
It was nice there was dish soap, dishwasher soap, and all dishes, even cooking utensils. Nice refrigerator and microwave. However, with the washing machine and dryer right there, it would have been nice to have some laundry soap or a pod for at least one load. We did look at a couple of convenience stores but couldn't locate laundry detergent--bring your own.
The little cafe around the corner, and also within this building serves a good breakfast.
For my first visit to Quebec, I would have been better off in a hotel (where I moved to), but this would be great for families or large group who are more self sufficient and familiar with area.
- Boo (3/5): My son also lost his iPods in the apartment and I wanted to activate a sound so that they can be located the manager ref - Good size for a family Major construction going on around the site. Literally 2 metres away from bedroom windows. It started early morning so woke us up
- Lise (8/5): Great location & fabulous living Space - Thé location One bathroom for 3 bedrooms // 5 adults
The train station is undergoing rénovations and the loft is in the station
- Lori (10/5): Our group loved just rolling our bags off the train and being in our spacious lodging in less than 5 minutes. - So convenient for our train trip to and from Quebec City! Unit was spacious, clean, and well appointed, with comfortable beds. 5-minute walk to the CycloServices bike shop where we’d booked bike tours and rentals. There is one air conditioning unit in the common area. On warm nights, we had to leave our bedroom doors open or the bedrooms became too hot. That limited privacy.
- Shelley (10/5): Enjoyed the patio in the evening. - Quiet yet close to old Quebec. It would have been nice to have a roll of papers towels just until we could get to food market.
- Samuel L (10/5): Amazing location and value - Wow! What a great place to stay, especially for VIA Rail travelers like us. The suite was huge and almost seemed like it was intended to be an actual apartment. The full-size washer and dryer were an excellent plus for us since we had been on vacation for over a week.
The housekeeper was hanging out in the room when we got there, which was a little weird. We arrived at 3:53, so maybe that’s on us.
Anyway, highly recommend! Les Lofts has properties all over town, and I have to think that they are all wonderful.
- Marieve (9/5): - Everything, except the noisy AC Noisy AC
- Nancy (8/5): Comfortable convenient once we found it! - Location was great. Modern space. Very clean.
We did not use the TV so no idea about that. Bathroom was large. We had no idea how to find the apartment until the last email and since I didn’t have WIFI we wandered around in the rain!
PLEASE tell everyone its actually inside the train station when they book! AND please leave a little coffee and tea for morning!!! Especially if someone arrives late. Really not good to search for coffee.
- Saadé (5/5): - Clean, big enough, has everything in it The pillows weren’t comfortable at all, the central air conditioning was dripping water when it was on during the night when sleeping very annoying, not much lighting in the bathroom.
- Clara (8/5): -
- Leanne B (9/5): Easy, convenient and comfortable - N/A A bag locker next to the accommodation would be handy if there for earlier check in.
- Sharon (10/5): Very comfortable and spacious and great location in station; short walk to old town - Excellent location in station. Large three bedroom apartment with full kitchen, dining table and spacious sitting room. No coffee/tea/milk for first night. No staff on site to provide any amenities. Cooling/heating only in main living areas, nothing in bedrooms
- Robert (3/5): Would stay again in same apartment - Good location at train station and walking distance to old city .
Good facilities Some coffee machine filter papers would have been nice.
- Johanie (10/5): -
- Steve (9/5): Fantastic option but they need to review cooling options - Fantastic value and great location. Excellent facilities. Room needs some sort of external ventilation option like an opening window. We needed to run the aircon all night in May and keep bedroom doors open when it was a maximum of 5 degrees celcius overnight. This place could be just too hot during summer with a single aircon unit in the central kitchen area and no opening external windows.
- Judith (10/5): Very quiet and calm, you wouldn’t have known you were in a Railway Station! - The location was excellent. Very handy for the train! It was great that a washing machine was available but it would have been helpful to provide washing machine liquid. Dish washer tablets are provided.
- Sophie (9/5): -
- pauline (9/5): - . Very quiet and clean. Excellent facilities . Good blackout curtain. Awful pillows.Hanging rack but no clothes storage space, not an issue for us.
- Charles de la (10/5): Really efficient - No reception. Received my access code to unlock the door prior to my arrival. Within the Gare du Palais train station. Really practical for business purposes.
- Anne-Marie (1/5): Had to stay outside or away during the day to avoid poor air quality due to construction. - NOTHING.... AWAKENED at 6:30 am with construction noises, hammers, tractor starting. Other issues with the Loft de la Gare were: Awakened at 6:30 am with hammers and equipment starting. Most of the appliances did not work well: stove burners half of the elements did not function, the washing machine would not spin on the normal cycle and you have to do a separate session on drain and spin to finish the load, the dryer was stacked on top of the washing machine and I could not read the dials and barely could reach the start button (I am 5 foot 3). The first bed did not have a properly sized sheet so the lower 12 inches of the mattress was uncovered, the bunk bed had a mattress too small so that the board hit up against your legs when you exit, and the ladder going up to the top bunk had a missing rung. When you enter the loft through the main entrance there is a huge black curtain after you open the main door. You have to part the curtain to see rooms G101, 102 and 103. The shower is set up so that you can’t test the water before you go in, and the floor is dangerously slippery. Perhaps most important, there were no emergency contacts available, such as 911, and the windows can’t be opened. My biggest concern was not being notified that construction was taking place at the Loft. We arrived on a Monday at 4pm when the construction had stopped for the evening. We noticed the large tractor outside of our loft and initially thought nothing of it. The second morning I let my daughter sleep in and when I woke her up she was violently ill with headache, nausea and vomiting, dry heaving and complaints of confusion with inability to focus. When I went into the room, I noticed the poor air circulation and immediately became dizzy myself. I called the Loft and asked about carbon monoxide detectors. There were none in the loft. The maintenance crew was not available until 2:30 pm when their shift starts. At 4 pm, I had not heard from them regarding the possibility of CO poisoning, so I called them again. The maintenance crew sent a reply to the receptionist as below:
“I have just received some information from the maintenance team regarding the air in your room. It is a central air exchanger controlled by the entire building and there is no natural gas or propane, which explains the absence of the monoxide detector. We could give you a fan. Would that help you?”
(WE HAD A FAN IN THE ROOM THAT WE BROUGHT)
I called them again to say there still could be carbon monoxide from the tractor. Note picture below of tractor outside of our loft with vent on the roof. The tractor is working in this picture.
The first window is the living room; the second window is the kitchen and the next two windows behind the tractor are bedrooms. There is one heat/air conditioner pump in the living room and no other source of air. The second bedroom is hot, stuffy and has literally no air circulation.
I moved my daughter to the bunkbed room at the end of the living room hallway. Her symptoms improved within an hour with gradual improvement over the next few hours. I opened one door by the terrace for more air circulation and my daughter sat outside. We closed the door offensive room.
