• Alain (10/5): A welcoming room, pleasant and attentive service - The room was pleasant and decorated with wood paneling, which I found gave it a welcoming and luxurious feel. Team Kind and attentive. The hotel is located a short walk from the Riverfront district and not far from the lively Old Town with its markets and shops. You can visit most of the cultural and historical sites on foot (except for the national park, the beach, and one or two temples, which are outside the city). I appreciated the peaceful atmosphere too. I was surprised because the hotel didn't propose breakfast service or a coffee machine. But it's not a big deal, especially since you're close to shops that offer breakfast and hot drinks.

• Thomas (4/5): Disappointing - The Location is good .Right in the middle of town. Walking distance to markets and Restaurants. If you like sleeping on a hard mattress and a tiny little Room is enough for you, then the Hotel is right for you. Don't expect any Breakfast in the morning. Only coffee is available. Which was really good.

Some spoke quite good English, but even if they didn't they were friendly and patient as we communicated via our limited Thai and with the help of Google Translate. Happily organised a really great driver for us to take us to the coast. Room was very clean, air conditioner worked great. Located very, very close to the Chanthaboon Waterfront community and an easy 5 min walk to markets and gem street. Loved our stay here and would absolutely stay again.

• Gillian (10/5): Fantastic value, perfect location, staff are wonderful - A great hotel - the staff are very welcoming, warm and happy. The location is perfect to walk around the city - 2 minutes to the riverfront old town, 5 minutes to all the morning and evening markets and a 15 minute walk to the lovely King Taksin park which is beautiful for some morning exercise! Also only a 15 minute walk to the old cathedral, along the old river front street and over a footbridge. Very comfortable room, everything worked perfectly and it was clean and quiet. The staff give 100% quality customer service and should be commended by the owners as they give this lovely little hotel a great atmosphere. A bargain price and highly recommended for a stay in Chantaburi, we will definitely return if we visit the city again. We liked everything

• Hans (9/5): An unexpected pleasant surprise in Chanthaburi. Very inviting in every way. - All around good hotel, excellent value for the money. Professional, competent staff. Great location, in 'Old' Chanthaburi, only a 5 minute walk from the river front restaurants and shops, only 8 minutes walk to the Catholic Cathedral in the other direction. Though still comfortable, some of the springs in the king mattress were approaching the end of their life expectancy - stiil quite comfortable but probably for not much lunger.

One of them gave my son a toy car to play with when he was sad, and many of them played with the kids whilst we were waiting for a taxi in the lobby. They really went above and beyond. • Patrick (10/5): Great value for money and fantastic staff in lovely Chanthaburi - Great location, close to the river front and only a 10min walk from the bus terminal. There was no street noise. Large, bright room with comfortable beds, fridge, well-working AC and a small desk. Shower worked well, too. We enjoyed the balcony and the seating areas in the courtyard. Very friendly and honest staff! A big thank you to the young man that returned the phone charger that we forgot in the room! Very good value for money. Only very minor things. The bathroom was a bit small, but not a big deal for us. Our balcony door could only be locked after a few attempts and would need some maintenance.

• Neil (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely contemporary hotel. Very comfortable and well located next to, Chantaboon, the historic centre. Many restaurants and cafes in the area. The staff were all charming, friendly and helpful. Rooms are serviced daily to a high standard. Probably a bit more luxurious than I'd normally choose but for what you get the price is quite reasonable and in fact I stayed an extra night.

• Jaap (8/5): Perfect place in Chantaburi - Chanthaburi doesn’t attract so many visitors and has for that reason not that many hotels. This one would be a pearl in any place though. With a comfy bed and central location and spacious room. No breakfast at all, limited atmosphere

If you like to sleep with open windows instead of turning the AC on, you might want to use earplugs. Not that the rooms are very noisy, but still you can hear some traffic noise from the main street.

Coffe shop and restaurant only irregularly open which was inconvenient searching for breafast many mornings. Hotel could do with a new coat of paint, workstation was small. Changed sheets and towels everyday even if you ssked them not to. Not expensive, as good as a location as one coukd get in Chantaburi

• Laia (1/5): No water in the hotel and no one informed us - There was no water in the hotel and at check in no one informed us. We found out when using the bathroom that there was no water. We had to wait quite long to get water and once we got water there was no pressure Apparently a pipe broke couple of days before our arrival. This is something that the hotel should have mentioned before our arrival so we could decide if we preferred to find an alternative

• Mário (8/5): ok for price - price is ok for the room that looks a little better then the average in Thailand for the price segment hotel in general is on the ugly side, laundry service says in the room it exists but doesn’t really exist, some bits in the room could use some repair, the tea kettle provided only can be plug in in one place in the room and has to be on the floor!

• Kj (10/5): Great hotel in a great location - we loved its central location (within 5 minutes walk of our favourite restaurants - one open during the day adjacent to the hotel which mainly catered for local families and the other at Tamajun hotel overlooking the river. the room was cleaned every day to a high standard - glass bottles of water where replenished daily minimising plastic use which we appreciated. the a/c was very effective, very comfy large bed, decor was tasteful, a classic elegance , staff were friendly - overall we loved this place only a very minor point as we have avoided plastic use for most of our trip- the glasses were placed in plastic wrap daily, as were the towels and the soap which seems a waste though I get that some people appreciate this as it speaks of a high degree of cleanliness
• Nigel (9/5): Superb - Chose hotel due to its location, and it is an easy stroll down to the old street next to river. It was a quiet room and provided me with a good sleep. I could not see any electric plugs so needed to ask reception. There appeared to be only one plug in the room, and it was hidden from first sight next to a wall mirror. The TV was automatically switched on when porter opened the room, although didn't make use of it and could not see how controls worked. The bathroom was very much smaller than I expected.

Our room was very comfortable, spacious and cleaned well. It also had great storage. We did not eat at the hotel but overall it was a great stay & a real gem - would return!
