Guest Reviews
- Luana (10/5): It was the right choice - I loved how the staff is Nice and caring
- Zolang (10/5): Perfect stay for the value - The place is located 5 mins walking from the plaza de armas which is very practical as almost all tours started very early in the morning.
The facilities of the hostal are cosy, enough if you’re planning on spending more time on tours/excursions. The beds are comfy and they provided heavy blankets that were very appreciated as it could be really cold during the nights.
The views from the terrace are amazing, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The only downside I found is that the water heater was not working very well, which was annoying but if you’re patient the heater starts working after a few minutes.
- VLASTISLAV (8/5): - Beautiful location with stunning views of Plaza de Armas, service was great, host was really helpful, tasty and rich breakfast. Just for you to know, for most european people that are used to heated rooms can be cold at night (but they have plenty of blankets).

We konden onze spullen hier achterlaten. Niks :)

- Spencer (4/5): Wouldn't Stay Here Again - The view was wonderful. We were on the top floor and it was a beautiful view of the Plaza de Armas. The breakfast was made each morning by the young lady who was working that morning. The rest wasn't the best experience for us. The room leaked water when it rained, onto the bed and floor I was sleeping in. The room was really loud all night. There was no insulation to keep the noise out. The Plaza de Armas was always loud, which made it hard to sleep. Also, we were charged more than what the reservation said we would pay because we paid in Soles. They also didn't clean the room during our 4 night stay.

- jaime (10/5): - Todo

- Maya (10/5): The owners are really kind and the location is beautiful. We stayed at Casa del Inka twice, before and after Salkantay T -
MAL
- Villegas Aguilar (9/5): -
- Esra (8/5): Mooi uitzicht over Plaza de Armas - Locatie en personeel Ontbijt (weinig)
- Nansuar (9/5): -
- yhalet (9/5): - Muy atentos, buen desayuno y excelente ubicación La subida de gradas
- Coronado (5/5): Okay for the price and that’s about it. - Price was ok Uncomfortable room, lacked basic amenities like AC and hot water on the bathroom.
- Martin (8/5): - Location was great The room and the building in general could use some maintenance to improve the quality of the place.
- Jakub (7/5): we had a lovely time here - small guesthouse with a beautiful view of the city center. staff was very nice. a short walk from the center room was cold without heating, but lots of blankets :) , very small shower
- Tatiane (9/5): -
- Oleksandra (10/5): - Beautiful view from the terrace 🔥
- ROSALES (10/5): - .. ..
- Percy Nain Rafael (8/5): -
- Aleksandra (8/5): -
Freundlicher Empfang, gutes Internet.
- Yvette (9/5): Nice, spacious and clean rooms. - The people from the hostel were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The rooftop terrace is a nice place to enjoy the view of the city.
- Cosmin Daniel (1/5): -
- Guest (9/5): -
- Cézar (6/5): Good price, good staff and beds, bad shower. - Staff are very receptive and the hospitality is great. It is close to the market district/plaza de armas. The electrical showers are awful after a tiring day in Peru, not enough water, need to regulate a tiny stream for it to be hot. The location is a pedestrian only route which can be troublesome sometimes.
- Moujahid (9/5): Superb -
- Hilary (4/5): Disappointing - Good location and view of the square. Room was freezing, no windows, cold shower. No place to relax. We ended up having to spend a little time in a cafe to stay warm.
- Hilary (4/5): Disappointing - Great location, views over the plaza. Could store luggage. Freezing cold room, shower not hot, bed not very comfortable
- Aleli (8/5): Very good -
- Jose (10/5): Exceptional -
- Xin (5/5): Not bad for budget travelers - Price is good Room was very cold and humid. No window in my room.
- Marc (8/5): nice hotel with beautiful old city view - Nice hotel, friendly owner and staff. Beautiful city view from top floor patio; breakfast overlooking the old city.
- Emily (3/5): Good location and homemade breakfast, the conditions of the lodging itself are not ideal. - The view and breakfast, staff was accommodating The room was cold, the shower water was not hot, they were painting so our room smelled of paint, at one point all of the water turned off for an hour or so, and the wifi was very spotty
- Steve (8/5): Good place - The location near the main square
The staff very welcoming
The breakfast As in all our bookings in Perou there was no heating in the room thus it was quite cold.
- Lea (8/5): Very good -
- Charlie (9/5): Beautiful rooftop view; warm and friendly staff - Really friendly staff, beautiful rooftop breakfast area and accommodated a late-check in since I arrived late on the bus back from Machu Pitchu. Some steps to get up there, but not too bad!
- Rebecca (9/5): Small Cusco gem - Very good value for money. Clean, lots of blankets, good breakfast with stunning view. A small climb to the location but far from the nightclub area so no noise. We were in and out of this hotel between our tours out from Cusco and the staff remembered us between the stays and helped us e.g. with laundry while we were away. The facilities are a bit run down and the hot water in the shower requires some tinkering. But honestly for this price you cannot expect Hilton and everything was still clean.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sebastian (8/5): Very good -
- Lea (8/5): Very good - The view from the rooftop is really amazing. location is very central, just 3 min walk to Plaza de Armas. Staff and owners were really helpful and accommodating. The very thick layers of layers of blankets. I dont think it’s necessary. All socket are loose and felt electric shock twice which is very dangerous if you are not cautious enough. The hot shower is really not that hot.
- Xiaojun (9/5): Good value - Good location, nice view, polite staff Hiking up
- Brett (4/5): Aussie and Malaysian in Cucso, Peru - Great view from patio of Cusco old city centre. Where do I begin. Warning!
1. The booking could not be called a studio apartment. Please see the photos.
2. The apartment was freezing. They said they had heaters and then continued to lie, so we never got a heater. They are liars.
3. We had a tiny breakfast, one egg, and 2 x bread. When asked for more bread, we were told no.
4. FINALLY, I got a mild electric shock from the shower head in room 105, be warned. Also, see photos of it.
Do not stay there or go in with your eyes wide open!
- Areti (8/5): Great view, friendly staff! - Great view, very nice and kind staff, delicious simple breakfast! The room was colder than i can handle and the shower was a little bit difficult to use. The water was hot but the room so cold that unfortunately shower was not the most pleasant experience
- Leslie (8/5): Friendly place with great view from the terrace - The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They even offered to store my suitcase while I went to Machu Picchu. The terrace where breakfast takes place has a beautiful view over Cusco.
The street where the hostel is located is made entirely of stairs which was difficult for me due to the thin air. But other than that I'd recommend it 100%
- Darcy (9/5): The people who run the hotel are so helpful and friendly, we booked our Machu Picchu tickets and transport before arrivi - Very friendly and helpful staff, great location, comfy beds, very clean, good breakfast Nothing
- Jonathan (5/5): Passable - A very cold room. Dirty floor, I found a venomous spider on the bedroom. That situation was a very uncomfortable for me and dangerous. And obviously very scary.
Staff was very kindly but facilities not good
Unfortunately not a good experience.
I hope the owner improve his facilities because the place have potential.
- Debbie (5/5): Passable -
- Nagayama (10/5): Exceptional -
- Garrett (9/5): Really nice staff, facilities and breakfast, would recommend to families. - The breakfast was amazing. Had pancakes with chocolate and bananas and a couple of pieces of bread. We had a private room and bathroom and the water in the shower was warm! The room was cold. There’s no hearing and Cusco can get quite cold during the winter. Not really any shared places if you’re wanting to meet travellers.
- Malcolm (9/5): Perfect location - Yuri was so helpful in sorting out all our tours at a good price.
Lovely breakfast on the terrace.
Great location just above the main plaza Nothing
- Olatz (8/5): Very good -
- Shaked (2/5): My worst stay in south America - The view from the top floor. Very bad experience overall. We switched to different hostel nearby with much better experience. The walls are pretty thin and it was cold, there was water outage for about 10 hours without any water reserve for even flashing the toilet, the system for heating the water is electric and unreliable, and the room seems to not be maintained at all.
- Kseniia (9/5): Superb -
- Michel (9/5): What it lack in comfort it more then makes up in locaton, view and competence/friendliness of staff. - The view from the rooftop terrace was terrific. The manager, Mr. Yuri, was extremely helpful and competent. He helped us organize our trips as well as provided us with valuable advice. No heating in the room, so it was cold to sit during evenings (november). The showers are a bit specific - you need to open the water as little as possible to have a warm shower - if you open it to max flow it is cold.
- Eoin (10/5): Great! - From the moment we arrived Yuri was kind and welcoming. He was extremely helpful in organising all our tours and ensured that everything went smoothly. Location was perfect and we had an unforgettable trip to Cusco
- Stephen (8/5): Very good - Owner was very helpful. Location is close to everything in town and great view over the town from the upstairs balcony.
- Eleonora (8/5): Nice location, good breakfast served on the terrace -
- Karin (5/5): One of our most disappointing stays - The staff was very helpful, therefore I'm writing this review with heavy heart. Wow, where to begin?
There is no way to get with the taxi to the place, and you have to carry all your luggage up or down many rough stairs. The moment we came in, the woman in charge complained we got the room very cheap from booking and this is not good for her... Then, we got a room that we didn't book- tiny room with small bed, not queen size as it was written, and with none of the amenities written. Dangerous electric cables, toilet that is moving when you sit on... and to top it all- no wi-fi at all in this hostal. One of our worst stay in south America.
- Worawut (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lin (5/5): Passable -
- Ruth (7/5): Good stay, friendly hosts - Hosts friendly and helpful, lovely views, clean, comfortable The steep walk up the hill although was worth it for the views!
