- Jenny Ngoc Lan Vy (10/5): - I didn't stay in the room much as I only stayed for two nights. I was out most of the time. Was provided an useful pamphlet at check-in. Typical small room, no space under the bed for luggage to be stored, but overall neat. Looks like you can connect your laptop or console to the TV as there's a HDMI port but I didn't try. Check-out was seamless, and having luggage stored until the end of check-out day was convenient. Was given a waterproof numbered token to prove it's your luggage upon retrieval, which was thankfully quick as I was in a hurry to catch the shinkansen.

- Shani (10/5): Train station location but quiet and great!! - It was great. Very clean, the service is great and pleasant. Just 5min walk from the Nagoya train station including cross-walk time!!! That's huge! You literally see the trains from the hotel, but it's quiet and we felt it's a very safe place! The rooms are a bit small, but this is a Japanese style hotel, so that's just how they are. Not much room for big luggage..

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. This is a comfortable enough place to stay for a few nights. Breakfast was not great (in my opinion). And the elevator is extremely inefficient and slow. We were on the 14th floor and waited 20 minutes for an elevator, this was at 10:00 am during checkout time. This was my biggest gripe with staying here.

- Bonnie (8/5): - This hotel is located about 10 minute walk from JR Nagoya/Shinkansen Station and subways. It is a transport hub, however it is not in the downtown area which is 20 minute walk or 2 train stops away. It is also right next to a construction site so the outlook isn’t good but surprisingly the noise is blocked off and we hardly heard any noise during our stay. The hotel in general is comfortable and clean and the breakfast is good too.
- Benjamin (10/5): - This property was very close to the train station and surrounded by a host of food options as well as shopping of all sorts from clothing to electronics. Our room was clean and the space was big enough to move around and enjoy but not so large as to be in excess. We really loved the bath/shower in our room. It’s the first time I had that kind of a shower. The shower area was separate from the tub where you stand outside of the tub to shower. It was amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive and left nothing for want. The room was outfitted with an electric kettle and all the coffee, cream/sugar, tea, wash cloth, etc. was available in the lobby, take whatever you need/want. I liked the concept. We made use of the laundry facilities and it was very simple and easy to use. The machine was an upright with wash/dry capability all in one. Soap was also included with the price as it automatically dispensed it. We used the max time for wash/dry which cost 500 yen. A electric lock was also part of the fee which secured our clothing, allowing us to set it and forget it, coming down from our room when time was completed. I have no fear of staying in another Via Inn property if this is an example of what the other properties are like. Thank you!

Amenities like toothbrush, tea, coffee are available in the lobby for free however comb and razor is 100yen. Place is clean and is less than 10 mins walk from JR Terminal. Will probably choose a different hotel if I’m in the area because the staff are not very welcoming. They don’t greet you when they see you come in or go out the lobby. Stayed 1 night in this Nagoya location

- SanBC1 (10/5): Very clean, modern hotel, close to station with fantastic staff. - This hotel is not far from Nagoya station and has plenty of shops, restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The room was a really good size, updated, with a lovely modern bathroom. The main thing was how clean the hotel was. Every surface was spotless. The beds were comfortable too. I liked how all the amenities were by the elevator and you could just grab what you needed. The staff were so friendly. Overall, this is a fantastic hotel to stay at for location, cleanliness and amenities.

- Alan (8/5): - If you’re looking for a property within walking distance of the Nagoya Railway Station, this property will satisfy the location requirements. We have been traveling throughout Japan for the last 3 weeks and found this property to be efficient. There are many other foreign visitors who utilize this hotel so we found the breakfast buffet a challenge. The room was clean for Western standards, but not as spotless as most other Japanese hotels. Overall a satisfactory stay.

- Yu Xuan (10/5): - Consider close to Nagoya JR station / Shinkansen Station but actually quite far from Meitetsu Line (especially if come directly from Central Japan International Airport), and difficult to navigate the direction toward the hotel in big Nagoya Train Station. Room quite small, but still able to open a 28” luggage (fully block the walkway though). The bed size is big, 140cm for single room. Lots of restaurants nearby Nagoya train station, could get all the famous Nagoya signature foods around the hotel. Located in a quiet street. Room is clean, modern, new. Consider the price I paid, it’s a value stay.

- Kenny (10/5): - Booked a double room for single use and it has a functional layout. Lots of USB outlets in the room which is a big plus in today’s world. Room is clean and well maintained with almost no evident wear and tear. Nagoya Station is only a few minutes walk away, with lots of dining options round the area. I would recommend this hotel and will not hesitate to stay again.

Toilet is split into dry sink toilet bowl area and inner shower area, which within has a sit-down shower area and bathtub. I love that you can see the live status of the laundry from the TV homescreen. Breakfast is semi-buffet style, choose either Jap or Western main set.
- DENIS (8/5): - The only downside is that the street area is downscale, but safe and clean. Everything else was fine. About a ten minute walk to Nagoya Station, which is why I chose it. Good basic breakfast.
- Janice Rosario Lequigan (8/5): - Property is near Nagoya station thus very accessible. Nagoya castle was only 15-20 mins from hotel. Lots of dining options and shopping malls nearby. We have been travelling around Japan for 3 weeks, and this is the only hotel where we did not have to ride a train or bus to go to where we want to be. Hotel size is slightly bigger than other hotels we’ve stayed at plus there was a seating area which was a bonus since we always stop by at convenience stores before heading back to the hotel…(I think all tourists in Japan are guilty of this. Ahaha)

- ZfyEd (8/5): Generally satisfactory stay! - We have been to Nagoya several times and this was our 2nd time staying at this hotel (the previous stay was in December 2022). The hotel was near Nagoya station (a good 3-5mins) with lots of eateries and convenience stores nearby including BicC and Esca shopping). We had booked two books (one for 3-pax and the other 2-pax). Like most Japanese hotels, the double pax room was small but still cosy and nice and was slightly bigger than others. Our 3-pax room (Room 215) was said to be the biggest room in the entire hotel. But on the first night we checked in, there was only 2-single beds (for 3 adults) though the room was spacious especially the bathroom. Then the reception called shortly and told us that we need to topup because there was 3pax which we understood (but it was very late when checking in and we decided to settle it the next morning). So the next day morning we went to settle the payment and was told we need to pay an extra of S$351 (for the 3rd person for 3 nights) after a long "here and there" communication as the staff could not understand our explanation in English. And one of the middle-aged staff with spectacles (seemed he's the manager) looked stern and unfriendly at us when we tried to figure out what the staff was saying. We felt unfair because the first night (the night before), there was only 2 single bed when we checked in and we still had to pay for it! (as such the rating on value for money was brought down) Then that evening when we returned, we saw a 3rd bed was "squeezed" into the room. The beds were comfortable and we rested well. There was a sofa with table and the room view was facing the carpark. And the TV had limited channels. (I will not comment on the 2pax, economy double room as I commented that before last year) Having said that, room service was quite well done and we didn't dine at the restaurant this time round as our friends brought us out for breakfast.
- Joel (10/5): - Very convenient to Nagoya Station, but easily confused with another JR West Group Via Inn. Very helpful staff.
- Samantha (10/5): - Reasonably-priced property that’s very well-maintained and close to the JR station. Couldn’t ask for more.
- Hiroshi (8/5): - The property was very clean, and the staff was very professional and polite. The hotel was also within easy walking distance from Nagoya station. But if you're traveling with someone, however, make sure you get a room with twin beds. The single mattress room was extremely cramped, and the bed itself was so small that there's no way two people can sleep on it comfortably. And the bed itself was very firm, so be prepared for that -- but that's par for the course for every hotel in Japan.
