• Emi (8/5): - Very convenient location. Easily accessible through 2 very close Tokyo Metro stations (5 min walk) and 2 JR/Metro stations within 10-15 min walk. Plenty of conbini nearby as well as a variety of restaurants, drug stores, and groceries. Less than 15 minutes walk to the heart of Akihabara Electric Town.
• Katarzyna (10/5): Unique! - Unique, fantastic and different. Really easy and in great location. Close to food shop, electric town and station.
• Tommy (10/5): Spacious and well located near Akiba Shopping - Spacious and comfortable and excellent location. Need to be okay with limited "front desk" availability and interaction as it is mostly self serve. There are many lights in the room and the switches for some were not all obvious and required some detective work.

• Alexis (6/5): - This was by far the most expensive of the hotels we stayed at during our trip. The idea is cool and artistic but it lacked some of the features of the other hotels. A major sacrifice was with it being self-service no one was available to speak with and no extra amenities were available like extra pillows. I had a hard time sleeping and the beds are extra firm. Also my least favorite location that we stayed at.
• Whitney (10/5): - The room are very clean, nicely sized and very unique. The nature of the front desk staff only being there sometimes is a bit unconventional but we made work. I would recommend the property for its unique charm!!!
• Sarah (8/5): - This is a small, boutique hotel with limited staff. It’s tucked away a bit and might be difficult to find (I took a taxi and the driver had no problem finding it however). There is not a person on duty at all times and there is an automated system for check in. I did have an issue checking in that was only resolved when another guest happened to pass by. There isn’t a key or key card; you are issued a code for your door. My issue was a simple one: the keypad on the door doesn’t look like a keypad (it looks like a touch pad for a key card) and just FYI, the numbers won’t appear until you touch it. I did love my room though: it was very, the art was really cool, and it was by far the largest room I had on my trip. It has an enormous tub, a small kitchen, and a washer/dryer. The hotel has no restaurant (the lobby is about the size of a cafe), but the area is packed with restaurants and shopping. It’s also within walking distance to Ueno Park.

• Verified traveler (6/5): First trip to Japan with our family of 4 - This hotel was a fun & a different experience than we're typically use to. The rooms are definitely quirky & exactly what you see in the photos. The rooms are also a decent size for a family of 4 (we had 2 teenagers travelling with us). A couple things I think the room we stayed in could definitely use (we were in the Wonder Park room) is storage! There are too many "things" sitting around in the room that are not necessary & take up valuable space. The rooms are lacking cabinets, closets, drawers & organization... especially when we are trying to live out of suitcases. Beds were comfy... but the pillows were rock hard. Overall, great stay though.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Unique Hotel, Okay Experience - For the most part, we enjoyed our stay at BnA Studios in Akihabara. The hotel room was very cool and unique with the artwork being created by local artists. The service was not the best - we tried calling the first evening we were there and no one answered the phone. Whenever we were in the lobby, the staff was present less than half the time. The room was very cold the first night (to be fair, we went in the Winter and this room would have likely been great in the Summer months due to the concrete structure) and the heater didn't seem to work. The second day, we turned the heater off while we were gone and then back on when we returned and thankfully it worked. Overall, the hotel was unique but did leave some to be desired.
• Yuanrui (8/5): - Awesome stay! Pros: A considerably larger room compare to other options in the area. It has a washer/dryer combo in the room which is nice for longer stays, and the kitchenette is nice too if you plan on making some of your own meals. There’s no microwave though, so plan accordingly if you are planning on purchasing instant foods. The design is fun and unique, very artsy. The bathroom is awesome with the shower and a tub, it even gives you a little stool to sit on for the showers! Transit is convenient, and is walking distance to Akiba! Lots of food options nearby as well, and there’s a 7-11 and a pharmacy/cosmetic store within a block away. Vending machines right outside the entrance. Super clean area, and quiet. The cons: Check in was an easy but we were a bit confused for where the entrance was. You first check in on the tablet if no staff is there, then you enter through the cafe/bar. We went to the stairs right next to it but apparently that’s for the apartment units right next door The blinds aren’t blackout blinds. My partner had no problem sleeping until noon but I’m up everyday when the sun is up. There’s no coffee in the room either, there is a water kettle though which was convenient. Overall: I will be back!!! For the price it’s more than what I expected! And we really liked the location and the feel of the hotel! Strongly recommend it!
• TravelTiger2010 (8/5): Unique hotel design. Kids loved it, wife not so much…. - A very unique room in a good location, only minutes from Akihabara. We stayed in the Athletic Park room as a family of 4 for 4 nights. It would have been nice for 2 nights but it became a little cramped after a while. It’s a shame the top bed didn’t have more height, so the occupants on the bottom bed could sit up without worrying about bumping their head. We were here in December and it wasn’t cheap but that’s ok for a unique experience. There’s no dining option but plenty a few minutes walk away. Handy parking across the street.
• SJP000 (8/5): Quirky and comfortable - A decent size and quirky room for the four of us, as it was winter, good to have the washing machine and dryer as well. It's much more of an airbnb. Pillows are not great. It's in a great location, close to some of the bigger stations so makes it easy to get around and pick things up as need. We were there over the public holidays in beg of Jan, so not much was open for breakfast and coffee, the hotel does not have a coffee shop or anything. Front desk is often not manned, one of the staff wasn't very helpful when we were wanting suggestions close by. There were different people each time though, and some were friendlier and spoke great English. They charge you $20 to hold your luggage in an open area, wired to the wall once you check out.
• Sabrina (8/5): - AKiHABARA is not what it used to be,It smells and everything look very out of date and lots of very cute young girls trying to attract older men. The hotel rooms are very nice and staffs are pleasant

• Louise (10/5): Fabulous Stay in Stylish Apartment - Loved our stay at BnA Studio. Just a small hotel, in a quiet residential area but only a couple of minutes from the action of Akihabara and not far from Ueno. Our room was great, really stylish, very spacious with everything you might need. Was very helpful to have a washer/dryer and the kitchen was well equipped. The only thing missing for us was an iron. Staff were friendly and we would definitely stay there again.
• Gang (4/5): - WiFi doesn’t work in my room. Check in process is the worst experience I have ever had. No desk in the room and chairs are wobbly. There are way better and cheaper options in the Akihabara area.
• Reynaldo (10/5): - This place is beautiful! Also check-in and check-out was incredibly easy. The kind gentleman at the front desk also went out of his way to retrieve and save my passport when I left it in my room when I checked out. You won’t regret booking this place!
• Sue (6/5): - The room was certainly not the average motel room. It was called the "athletic" room with good reason. It was incredibly challenging for an older couple and was more suited to young people with gymnastic backgrounds. You had to wriggle your way on and off the main bed like a caterpillar using pipes and the edge of stairs to help drag yourself to the head of the bed. The person on the other side had to curl up into a ball in order to put their feet through a metre gap to squeeze out of the bed or to get back in. During all of these manoeuvres, you had to take care not to hit your head on the base of the bed situated above you at a right angles. The room itself had metal pipes standing everywhere plus lamps and other paraphernalia in peculiar places and electrical cords running all over the place so it was like an obstacle course. On one wall was glassed in shelving called the Junk Kiosk and the shelves certainly held a heap of unrelated objects probably rescued from a forlorn end. On the plus side, the separate bathroom was great with modern facilities. The room was spotless which was a credit to the cleaner. How she managed to make up those beds every day was little short of a miracle. I felt for her as i would have found the task impossible given the number of fixed impediments around the bed. I kept imagining how it would be to have to rely on that job to earn a living and thought I'd be standing at the edge of the highest balcony willing myself to jump.

• Ramya (10/5): Great place! - We stayed in the Zen room on the 4th floor. It's a one-floor one-tooth concept and the elevator takes you directly to your doorstep. The room was VERY clean, and spacious, and our room had a large kind beds, a balcony, and a washer and dryer. Staffs were available round the clock to support and check-in and check-out were super easy. I highly recommend it and definitely will stay there again. The train station was about a 5 to 7-minute walk away. So if you have large and heavy luggage, plan your trip accordingly.

• 468hilaryh (2/5): Lack or response, ignored emails. - I recently had a reservation that unfortunately ended in a disappointing experience. Due to a family emergency involving my child, I had to cut short my stay at the hotel 1/4 days were spent. Despite reaching out to the hotel multiple times via email as well as speaking to Anu in person and another employee to request a credit or refund for the nights I was unable to stay, I received no response or acknowledgment of my situation. Despite Anu requesting to see our new flights back (which we provided) as well as showing photos of my son in the hospital. We were told that they would deal with this matter. We have had zero response since May 29th after being it would be dealt with. They had even given a WhatsApp contact with zero response.. as well as emailed multiple times. The lack of empathy and responsiveness from the hotel staff in handling my request was disheartening as well as very unprofessional. As a guest facing unforeseen circumstances, I expected better understanding and assistance from the hotel. Unfortunately, the disregard for my situation has left me feeling undervalued and disappointed in the level of customer service. I hope that the management will take this feedback seriously and reevaluate their customer service practices to better support guests in times of need or at least respond. I urge potential guests to consider the lack of responsiveness and empathy demonstrated when making their decisions to stay. Jacob

The bathroom was really large. Overall a no-frills property with interesting decor that was very conveniently located to several subway lines, shops, and restaurants.

• TranquilIndonesia (8/5): Zen room - love the spacious space - Our three-night stay at the BnA Studio Akihabara, specifically in the Zen room on the 4th floor, was a remarkable experience that significantly enhanced our autumn trip to Japan. The check-in process was impressively smooth and user-friendly, a pleasant surprise that set a positive tone for our stay. However, it's worth noting for future guests that if you're traveling with heavy luggage, there are a few small stairs to navigate before accessing the elevator, which can be a bit of a challenge. The Zen room itself was a delightful blend of modern amenities and traditional Japanese aesthetics, providing a tranquil and comfortable environment. It was spacious enough for our family and well-equipped for our needs. One of the biggest advantages of staying at BnA Studio Akihabara was its proximity to the bustling Akihabara district. This was particularly enjoyable for our daughter, who found Akihabara to be the highlight of our trip. The area is lively and full of exciting sights, sounds, and shopping opportunities, particularly for those interested in electronics and pop culture. Overall, our experience at BnA Studio Akihabara was very positive. The minor inconvenience of carrying luggage up some stairs was far outweighed by the comfortable accommodations, excellent location, and the unique experience of staying in a room that so beautifully captured the essence of Zen in Japan. We would recommend it to other travelers, especially those looking to immerse themselves in the vibrant energy of Akihabara.
• Carol (10/5): - Great location and a respite from exhausting crush of the city streets. However, only a few blocks away, you have electric town and the Ginza line. Our kids enjoyed it thoroughly.
• Xavier (8/5): - Cool little boutique hotel. We stayed in athletic park room which was really fun. Note there are limited outlets in the room which was odd but they tried to offset the issue by providing a power strip. Room comes with kitchen and washer and dryer machine which was huge as we traveled in September where it was still incredibly hot. So the ability to do laundry was huge. Rooms can be reached by stairs or a small little elevator. We used the elevator to take our luggage to our rooms but otherwise took the stairs most of the time as it was faster. Location isn’t the closest to public transportation. There is a Ginza subway stop not far from hotel but when you’re walking the city with luggage, it can feel like a mile away! Lots of local food options nearby including 7-11/ grocery. Around the corner is a dessert stand selling tayaki which made for great night treats. Akihabara main shopping/electronics area is walkable but several blocks away. Staff was very helpful. If you arrive before check in, they have locks to lock up your luggage so you can walk around.
• Thera (10/5): - A very cute and fun hotel near transportation and walkable to things like fancy coffee and vegan ramen for people who care about that stuff (me). The staff was very very nice and the room was very cool. I also appreciated being able to do laundry in the room and that soap etc seemed to all be fragrance free.
• yuri (10/5): - We loved our stay at this hotel. The room concept was great for the kids, the rooms had everything we needed. Its about a 15 min walk from akhiabara station and 2 minute walk from Ginza subway line, so location is great as well
• Christina (10/5): - Artistically done and spacious for a family of four. Toiletries and detergents are eco-friendly brands. Nearest train station is just a block away. Favorite part is the washing machine. Very convenient and relaxing stay in a such a busy city.
• Marie (8/5): - The zen garden is unique, however the novelty wears off within seconds of stepping in. Very minimalistic, with very few amenities, especially in the kitchen. Poorly planned space. No shelves or hanging rack in the closet. And a whole enclave section with decor on the ground that could have been used for a much needed dresser instead. Washer/dryer is very poor at drying clothes. Had to run the wash cycle twice because clothes did not even smell clean. Then ran the dryer twice. At the lobby is a young man who spent all his time sitting at a small desk video conferencing with friends while studying for school. I always felt horrible interrupting him with any questions I had or asking him for anything I needed. Not sure if he is a hired employee or just the owner’s son. On the bright side, the room was very clean and somewhat spacious for a family of 4

• lucy (10/5): - I have to say this is one of our favorite hotels in Tokyo. Really interesting and beautiful. Rooms with amazing designs, and conveniently located in a not-busy area of Akihabara. We travelled with our 6 year old son and he loved the room we got (athletic room). We also walked easily to the nearest station for both JR and metro, both about 10 min walk. We appreciated the washing-dryer machine in the room, but it would be great to have a little instruction manual in English, because it took us ages to translate it. We had good nights sleep during our three day stay, and will definitely go back to stay in this hotel. Great job to the amazing artist, designers, and the kind staff. Check-in was a breeze, done on a tablet. Very fast. We left our luggage in the morning of our first day, and everything was perfect.
• Ola (10/5): Great location - Great location, very close to Ueno. The neighborhood has small restaurants and places for breakfast and dinner. We loved the area. Close to many things but still quiet for a good night's sleep. It has a kitchen and washing and drying machine in the room, it's a plus. The room was clean and comfortable and had very different and fun decorations.

• David (10/5): - The room was absolutely awesome! I stayed in the Zen Garden room (the largest room) and it honestly felt like I was staying in an upscale apartment!! The artistic style of the room was really unique and it came with a A/C, heater, Washer and dryer, kitchen, and fridge. You're also able to turn off the big neon sign above the bed to allow you to sleep. Staff was kind and allows your to store your luggage at the front. 10/10 would stay here again.

• victravel63 (10/5): An incredible unique hotel! - I stayed in 2 different rooms to experience the magic of an art hotel, both rooms were fully equipped studios, with kitchen and laundry amenities. My first room was a beautiful 360 dragon mural, equipped with a record player and Netflix on a large flat screen. Such a mesmerising stay. The second studio was the top floor zen garden, which I highly recommend so spacious and beautiful artwork. With the added fun of a golden cage splitting the living room from everything else. Plus the neon light is mesmerising! Great for couples or large families

• LaurieG1226 (10/5): It’s all in the details! - My friends and I recently stayed at BnA Akihabara and were completely blown away by our experience. I couldn’t help but take photos of every corner of the room and be inspired by my surroundings. The room and bathroom were sparkly clean and well equipped for the modern traveller (thanks to the on suite laundry for providing fresh clean socks on our last travel day!) The hotel is conveniently located near a metro station and everything you need (7 eleven down the street). The staff was super friendly and made us feel at home right away. Would come back anytime!
• miraec2017 (10/5): Very Unique and Incredible Stay - Definitely worth staying in Akihabara JUST to experience this property. It's very eclectic and a great place for tourists, or even locals. The rooms are each so unique and well crafted and will leave you amazed at the small details. The service is wonderful and it really is a good place to be creatively inspired along your travels. I definitely recommend booking either their quad rooms with friends or their suites as a couple, either are great experiences.
• duw1203 (10/5): Where hospitality and art meet - It was a genuine high-level experience to have stayed @BnA Studio Akihabara during two weeks: we felt @home and we had the feeling that we were part of a family of artists. This Studio is conveniently located just minutes away from four Metro stations and from Akihabara are. Kombinis and vending machines are conveniently easily accessed. The rooms are decorated with a unique and original style - our Responder Room was designed by 81 Bastards. It was very spacious, very comfortable. The kitchen and the laundry facilities were very much useful and helped us in getting organised since our stay there was quite long. It was a completely different feeling to have enjoyed the hospitality in this place. Interacting with the talented artists was a very valuable experience that we will never forget. Our warmest thanks go to Hina for having written a special message for us upon our checking-out. Best wishes to all the team. We hope to be back to re-live again this amazing experience.
• Juliewolf (10/5): Beautiful Design & Great atmosphere! - We booked this very charming and small hotel for me and my two teens. According to them, it was the best hotel of our stay in Japan! The rooms, besides being super inspiring with great design, were very big for Japanese room standards and having our own kitchen, microwave oven & laundry in the room made us feel right at home. And the teens of course loved having access to Netflix and their spacious bathtub in the evenings! Besides staying in a great hotel, we were happy to know that 3% of the hotel costs go directly to the designers who created the room!
• Sheritravelstheworld (10/5): Family trip to Japan - This was such an amazing and unique experience. The location is outstanding right on the edge of Akihabara and adjacent to several major subway terminals. The staff are friendly, knowledgable and available. The rooms are not only fun and interesting, but comfortable and clean. We will definitely stay here again!
• Cris-annL (10/5): Exactly Like Nothing Else - This review is long overdue but well deserved! My boyfriend found this place and we knew we had to make it a point to stay here during our trip to Tokyo. This is a hotel designed by local artists and I believe there's only 5 rooms here. Be prepared to book in advance -- we were only able to stay 2 nights and had to plan our trip around the availability of the room we wanted (Zen Garden). I would expect Airbnb style service (but with daily housekeeping here) as the "lobby" is run by the artists - still super friendly! The Zen Garden was extremely spacious and conveniently had a mini kitchen and also a washer. Be warned that the dryers in Japan are quite different than those in the USA and we had to run the dryer for HOURS before our clothes dried. The room was a bit cold and there was not much of a heater system, but it was nice the TV also had Netflix on it. The location is great; about 10-15 minute walk from Electric Town but be ready to walk about 10 minutes to the nearest train station. Overall, super unique room and memorable experience - we'd love to stay here if we are to return to Japan and try out the other rooms! Would highly recommend.
• felix319 (10/5): Most Fun and Awesome Hotel in Tokyo - This was by far the most fun hotel stay in Tokyo. We stayed in the Athletic Park room and the interior design was just incredible. So many fun little details, and yet they managed to make the room very practical. Everything was available and easy to use. Very often "Art and Design" hotels manage to be very impractical for the traveler (not enough outlets, etc...). But BnA Studios managed to provide just the perfect mix between incredible design and usability of the room. Also the staff was so incredibly helpful. We received all the help we needed and even more. I can only highly recommend to stay here!
• Shukile (10/5): WOW! We loved it! - Spacious room comfortable equipped. We were in the 81 bastard room and loved it. Amazing shower and comfortable kitchen. The room is large and has a lot of day light! Neighborhood is comfortable and cool as well. Went for jogging in Ueno park in the morning and went for drink in the wired maids coffee bars around. This was our first night in Japan and we enjoyed it!!!

• Maryjo (10/5): - Possibly my favorite hotel stay ever. The room was so great with endless fun details and great utility as well. A lot of thought went into this room. The location was convenient, the room was huge by Tokyo standards and the kitchen and bathroom with a washer dryer made it feel more like an apartment than a hotel room. Excellent value! Staff was great. Love this place!
• rainbow_dash27 (10/5): Super cool place to stay in a trendy district - First, let me comment on the rooms at BnA STUDIO - the art is AMAZING. We stayed in the RESPONDER room, designed by 81Bastards collective. The room itself is very large by Japan's standards and the amenities are excellent. There is even a washer/dryer! The staff is super friendly and cool. Akihabara itself is a lively district, but the hotel is off the beaten path so you can enjoy your stay without the noise.

• JennMcCoyspace (10/5): Great experience - We stayed in the Athletic Park room with our two daughters and had a wonderful time! There were great touches like umbrellas, coffee, and cool bath products. The entrance is through a co-working space in the ground floor and everyone there was super friendly. The Ochanimizu JR station took us everywhere we needed to go and Akihabara was fun the explore. Thanks!! We’d love to come back.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - This was the last hotel we stayed at during our Japan trip, and we were glad it was only for one night. We had been very spoiled by our other hotels we stayed at, but unfortunately this one fell short. Smaller room than expected, uncomfortable beds and pillows, concrete floors throughout, and minimal surface space to place items. Interesting experience, but I’d rather pay just a little bit more for a much fancier hotel and room.

• Hicham (10/5): A gem - Last two nights in Tokyo. Exceptional little hotel with a kick ass service. The team was beyond nice, we booked two different rooms and they took care of everything (even folding our landrey!!). A Super dynamic and cool start up spirit. The rooms were super clean and very artsy. Highly recommend. Scrap that let’s kee this place a secret :)
• Luz (10/5): - The space was amazing. Even had a washer and dryer. Shower was an entire ROOM. The staff were so cool and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again.
• Sable (10/5): - Incredibly unique rooms, each designed by a different artist. We stayed in the Zen suite (the one with the chain-link cage). The cage itself was strange but surprisingly functional when we had to dry laundry - there is a washer in the room. Love the full kitchen with cooking necessities like salt, soy, and oil. The location is quiet and non-touristy but still close to the weirdness of Akihabara, walkable to Ueno station, and with nearby convenience stores and restaurants. The one small drawback is the relatively early check out time - 10am. Otherwise, highly recommended for a unique Tokyo stay.

• Nathan (10/5): - Each room is great we were in one with a modern take on the traditional Japanese room which was great. Location is a quick walk from the JR line and subways and the staff is very helpful and speak English.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - This was the coolest boutique hotel I have ever stayed in. Each room is designed by an artist, the whole hotel is a living concept of sustainable art. Saturday night we returned to a silent disco party! The rooms are large, even by Tokyo standards. We loved it!

• Paul (10/5): Stunning - We booked this hotel and didn’t realise what we’d actually be getting was effectively an apartment with its own kitchen space and washing machine. It even had Netflix!! We stayed in the Hailer room and it was absolutely immaculate, I loved the style of the room and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The location is fantastic, only a few minutes walk into the main Alihabata anime / gaming district as well as some really good eating spots and cafes. We are returning to Tokyo in a few weeks time and we hoping to rebook here (something we never normally do) but unfortunately it had been booked out for the dates we needed. Book it up while you can!!
• AJ (8/5): - The room is exactly what was pictured - really cool aesthetic however it wasn’t cleaned very well so there was hair everywhere. Although the staff are really nice this isn’t run like a traditional hotel so It’s difficult to know who actually works for the hotel and who is using the shared office space below.
