• stephen (6/5): Curates egg of a place, good room and scope to improve breakfast in places - Room was spacious clean and warm very inviting and quiet, very good, give it a nine, although lighting was a bit hap hazard Pub closes at 8non a Sunday so no food or drinks at evening ni problem as we went elsewhere so can only judge them on breakfast, ingrediants quality so so suave ok but looked grey was it microwaved? so so toast was miserly portion and poor bread quality coffee was terrible the sort of old filter coffer that was made a long time ago. For breakfast I expect decent coffee and bread not small sizes of poor quality, sorry it really let you down a shame given the room was lovely

• Verena (7/5): - Schönes Haus in toller Lage mit eigenem Pub und nettem Personal. Wir haben auch sehr gut zu Abend gegessen. Einige Renovierungsarbeiten wären nötig. Lampen die nicht funktionieren, andere Lampen flsckern, Fenster bleiben nicht offen, Heizung ließ sich nicht abschalten.

Main village attractions, shops, and picture-perfect cottages are short walk away. Breakfast was delicious and good size. We were here for a mead week night, so it was amazingly quiet even with the window opened. -

Food was good, The main light switch did not work which I only found out when I returned to my room late at night and too late to advise staff. The bed was too firm as were the pillows.

• Ali (9/5): A delightful stay where we were totally looked after with kind attentive staff and a good chef. - A beautifully converted building in a lovely town surrounded by countryside. The room we stayed in was expertly decorated and furnished with care and taste. The shower room was clean and there were adequate towels for us both. Nothing!

• ELISA (8/5): Buena elección - La habitación era muy grande. La cama y las almohadas comodísimas. Buenas toallas y buena presión de la ducha. El personal es joven y muy amable. Está muy cerca de los chipping steps, en la parte baja del pueblo. Tiene parquing propio. En verano imagino que será bastante ruidoso porqué todas las habitaciones dan a un patio lleno de mesas de madera pero ahora era una tranquilidad absoluta. Cenamos en el pub (en el restaurante que tienen arriba) y la comida era buena (para ser Inglaterra) pero excesivamente cara. El desayuno aunque correcto un poco incomodo pues se sirve en las mesitas del pub y los cereales, zumos y mermeladas los ponen en la barra.

I thought I had booked a twin room for me and my friend, but we had a large do - The room was large and had a lovely bathroom Being in the courtyard, it would have been better to have a blind or curtain on the front door, as not only could passing people look in but the daylight woke us up early.
• Ruth (7/5): Smart comfortable accommodation but misleading description about garden view. - Nice to stay in an old stone building, tastefully refurbished. In a good location on one of the quieter roads in Tetbury. Easy walking distance into the town, and the interesting old railway station area is very close by . The room was tastefully furnished. Great breakfast choices. Courtyard area was neat with nice spring flower displays. Paid extra for a bigger room that was supposed to have a 'garden view' but the room was off the courtyard, looking over to buildings on the other side. Questioned the staff but they didn't provide a satisfactory answer. Also, the description mentioned 'chocolate in the room....' which we thought was a nice touch, but no sign of any chocolate consumables, not even a chocolate coated biscuit ! Again, we mentioned it to one of the staff, but he couldn't explain it . It's annoying when room descriptions aren't correct , especially when it's swayed your choice of room. That said the room was nice and comfortable, with a window box outside, just no garden view or chocolate !
• amanda (10/5): Welcome break in beautiful surroundings - The customer service was excellent and very welcoming and helpful. On Friday evening the bar man was very helpful and friendly, I believe his name was Jude. We would like to thank him and express how customer focused he was. I didn’t realise that the garden room was directly next to the beer garden, when it was busy our room was quite noisy. I am not sure if it states that on your website but it would be beneficial to anyone wanting a quiet stay. The room is lovely and very comfortable.
• Sheridan (8/5): Ideal location, friendly staff and good food. - Very friendly and accommodating front of house staff. Food was good too. Location ideal for exploring. There seemed to be a mix up with what room we had booked. Staff on arrival did their best to resolve it.
• KMTravel (5/5): Don't be fooled, it's being run as a one night stay by a cheap rubbish chain of pub hotels - We stayed in room 6, the largest room, a suite with a second room with twin beds. We paid £144 with breakfast, in mid March 2026. The room was large, there was a juliet balcony door which would be nice to have open in the summer, it was a superking bed so generous size, and there is a fireplace and bath tub and shower. Lovely high vaulted ceilings. The whole place is looking run down. The management looks very chain, messy, uncaring - not the type of management when a place is independently owned. The room, the floor was filthy and needed a deep clean and regular mopping. The bed is was rock hard, and pillows so over used they needed replacing, towels are tiny, paper thin and dry. Bathroom products are cheap tiny plastic rubbish, not the well known brand shown in photos. The pub is blaring 80s radio music, which is really odd and makes the whole place feel like your walking into B&Q rather then an upmarket pub inn, in the Cotswolds. The staff areas look unkept, messy, dirty and disorganised. When we arrived at reception the man talked to us in his chair back facing towards us, only finally turning around when he had to give us paper work to sign, very bizarre. A real shame, the buildings are full of character and its a great location, but it's been taken over by a chain that clearly wants fast guests in and out and will drive the condition of the place into the ground, with no care. Even the locals in the shops are saying it's gone downhill and they've stopped going, and they have gone through multiple chefs and are now serving reheated frozen rubbish. A real shame.

Food in the pub was delicious, and the atmosphere was what we were looking for in a very quaint, beautifully remodeled old pub. The en suite was gorgeous, with comfortable beds and linens. We were only there for one night, but we wish we had planned for longer. Adored the surrounding town of Tetbury.

• Can (10/5): Place to stay in Tetbury in my opinion. - I don't think the pictures do justice to the actual place. Breakfast exceeded my expectations, the staff was friendly and helpful. There's a trail next to it fi you want to have a lovely walk. Nothing in particular. It might get a bit noisy on a Friday night since it also has a pub but nothing excessive.
• Stella (8/5): Very pleasant, comfortable and friendly - Room was beautifully presented and bathroom very smart - up a stone staircase in an old barn loft. proximity to pub/restaurant was ideal. The guy serving breakfast was particularly friendly and welcoming - something I was glad of as travelling alone. Menu good and food delicious. I'd definitely stay here again. Bath water came out brown. When I asked if that was normal, I was told there was a problem with a boiler. Had I known this was the case, I might have enjoyed a bath - instead I had to go without a bath or washing my hair which was disappointing. Lighting in the bedroom was a little dingy, but everything else was perfect.

• Chloe (3/5): Disappointing - staff were friendly When we went to check in there was no-one there, we were tight for time as had to get across to a venue which we had booked for a photoshoot the next day - the keys and room booking forms had been left out so we took them and had to guess which room was which - Rooms 1 & 2 were 39 degrees and we were unable to turn the heating down meaning we had to sleep with the window open which resulted in a terrible night's sleep due to the noise of people and rain. As we weren't able to speak to anyone at check in we had no idea what time breakfast was served, we arrived at 7am to be told it was 8am - we had to be at our venue at 8am so we couldn't have breakfast - a kind member of your team gave us some croissants to take but not really acceptable when I'd paid for breakfast for 5 people

• Maggie (9/5): Very comfortable stay with excellent dining in the evening - Very comfortable beds, good facilities in the room. Very quiet (except when someone banged a door closed). The meal in the restaurant the evening before was superb, absolutely delicious food, well-served by friendly, accommodating staff. Wine also very good. Next time we must stay for breakfast too! Great location as we were visiting the Tetbury Goods Shed Arts Centre for a private viewing that evening - very close by. Room a little warm and airless (ground floor so didn't want to open a window), had to switch the radiator off completely. The bathroom under-floor heating was almost too hot to stand on! Although it was fairly clean, there was dust on the floor in the corners (some clothing fell on the floor, and when I picked it up it was covered in fluff!) People who arrived in the adjacent room quite late banged the outside door which woke us up.
