Made us feel so welcome and they would do anything to make our stay the best! Loved the location as well! Room was just a bit outdated run down, didn't expect a VERY high end room but it definitely could have been a lot cleaner.

What we liked most was the friendly staff, sincere smiles and willingness to help with everything we needed. There was a swimming pool in the yard. It was very comfortable and nice to continue relaxing after swimming in the ocean. The water was clean and warm. And it was also great that the beach was nearby. The overall characteristics are excellent. We will definitely come again.

The rooms were clean, and staff were friendly. The location of the resort was perfect to access all activities. We will be booking rooms again in the near future.

Pacific avenue a couple blocks away is loaded with shops, bars and restaurants. Everything you need is with in walking distance. Great pricing you can’t ask for much more in a hotel down the shore!

- Tammy (6/5): Great location to boardwalk - The room was clean and had a large closet. It had chairs for sitting outside. The bathroom was very dated but the floor in the room was new. It was only a few blocks from the boardwalk in North. Parking is bad. I got lucky and found parking but sometimes had to back out of the parking lot to get out no turn around. If you don't drive well find parking in front or side not the back.

I like the location easy walk to beach, boardwalk etc. The room was clean and just what we needed, we don't go away to spend our time inside the room. The pool was very clean and refreshing. The people in the office are always kind and helpful. I can't wait until next summer to come back!

- peggysP9814WU (10/5): Lovely little shore town motel - We have been staying at sandy shores for a long time or her sister motel bird of paradise. Sandy shores is a lovely little shore motel. The staff are fabulous..the pool is great, and you can't beat the location. You are a block away from the boardwalk. Parking is free and easy. The rooms are comfortable and clean. This is our family go to place as a family every summer.

They post on booking sites and say on phone that more expensive rooms on bottom floor are accessible to get in. There are steps to office so can’t check in, steps to pool, deck around pool too narrow to fit a manual chair, the threshold to the room large enough to need to transfer out of chair and be carried into rooms. Once in room nothing is accessible for chair. Narrow doors and no space.

The bathroom was straight out of the 50s, tile cracked and chipped in a bunch of places. The door was either kicked in at the bottom or so warped or was peeling all over Everything was just so insanely old for the pricing.

Room was somewhat small though offered almost all you'd need in a visit from 1 day to 1 week. If anything the only regret I'd have to give was hard to find a parking spot if new to the area. An getting ahold of office.

Great place, great location not far from the boardwalk. Even the guests are great, we have never had any problems and will continue to come back.

PERFECT! I was given fresh towels every day. Staff worked very hard keeping the property and pool clean. Very close to beach and boardwalk for walking. We will be back next year and hope to bring more family. thank you for having us

- Traveler633367 (2/5): Sandy shores worst vacation stay ever - Stayed in the most expensive room which was the apartment above office . The maids were horrible only came up 2 times out of 7 to just bring towels . I said we need trash bags and toilet paper and trash taken . They just looked at me and I had to take it away every day . I told the one owner and he said oh sorry that’s the guys job to come up and get it .????? What worst excuse I ever heard . What’s the point of being a maid if al layout going to do is bring towels . They only clean rooms and give new trash bags and toilet paper when you check out . Then it says pool hrs are 10 am to 8 pm . The guy doesn’t unlock or start cleaning until after 10 am then there was adults and kids getting in after 10 pm . Why should we follow rules and others do what they want . I will never come back ever . I had to do a maids job all week because if I did not I would had no toilet paper or trash bags . Just leave it by the door I was told then I did then the seagulls came and got into it . I kept asking for trash bags everyday the one owner just gave me a full roll guess he got aggravated. Then parking forget . It’s so tight and nobody can get in or out .

- Companion40730349212 (4/5): For the amount of money this place charges, you would think it would be somewhat updated… - If the only thing you care about is being 2 blocks from the beach then yes this place is perfect. But if you want a room that is more than 50 square feet, doesn’t have dirt, dust, a shower that doesn’t drain, and cracks in the wall and ceiling you should probably skip this one. For the amount of money they charge to stay here, I would rather have stayed at a nicer place that is a little further from the beach. Will not be coming back

- Pamela (8/5): - This property is your typical 1950s built motel with a pool. Although not completely remodeled it had nice vinyl flooring and the room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The pool area was in good shape and someone was on the premises most of the time. Space for parking was tight but the management really helped a patron who was going to get ticket for where she parked and found her a place for her car. It was close to boardwalk and exactly 1 mile from the Barefoot Music Festival entrance.
- Paulanne (8/5): Visit was just OK - I was a little disappointed when I checked in, no one was in the office, CLOSED, I had to call to get someone to check me in and get my room key. Waited about 10-15 mins. To come. Walked in my room, a bug on the floor, near my bed. Air not on, fridge not on. Room was very warm, stuffy. TV not working, had to call again as the office was closed. Mailbox filled, so had to text for someone to help with this issue. Got back to me telling me the satellite was turned off, they would have to get someone to turn it on. It took about 1 1/2hrs. for this TV issue to addressed. This room was not ready for check-in after my reservation was made weeks in advance. Once everything was finally taken care of, my stay was OK. Really felt like I should have had some compensation for the inconveniences of this short stay. No one was in the office at check out either. Closed, had to put the key in a lock box so I had no chance to discuss the everything that was occuring during this stay.

- Joseph (2/5): Run Away - Place is a bio hazard. Dirty , roaches blood spatter in the bathroom. Had to fix the running toilet, no telephone, sheets a thin bed spread no blanket, towels in a bag, tooth paste on holder soap scum in yup along with paint chips. AC didn’t work. The electrical inspector must be blind or well paid off. My stay was a crime. Was told by another hotel on 19th that they didn’t except guests that came from this motel because of bedbugs. Run away

And it was a wonderful shower. Plenty of hot water. The beds were new (I think). Very comfy! The owner is always a gentleman. So nice and always accommodating. Close to the boardwalk. We will continue to stay here!
