Guest Reviews
- Montano (10/5): - It's close to everything and having the gas station right there is great the food it good think you should get a food discount for staying at the hotel and the room should have a number to call to order food Bigger towels its price is not to high, the beds are clean and rooms are clean what more do you need to sleep
- Gaela (8/5): Very convenient for our purposes- very close to the state park we were visiting. - For a older hotel the rooms were clean and comfortable Train tracks near by and the train ran regularly
- Max (10/5): - Convenience of the location. Easy access to the interstate and to the lake
- Lynn (6/5): - clean room. near train—lots of train traffic. check in is at convenience store. That is not clear in written description.
- John (10/5): - Very very very soft bed
- Kristin (1/5): Very frustrating. Our stay was canceled. We had to figure out alternate accommodations. - We didn’t get to go into our room because no one was at the front desk for an hour. The property has been struggling with employment for a while. We were not able to get into our room because no one was at the gas station to give us our key. We waited an hour and a half.
- Steve (8/5): - Price and the room was clean ! The office was at a convenience store gas station.
- Theresa (8/5): Howard Motel in Glendo - There were no food options. There was no front desk, but the clerks in Howard's convenience store next door we're very good and helpful. The bed was fairly comfortable.
- Amy (8/5): - Fantastic for Glendo! Pleasantly surprised at how clean and spacious the rooms were.
- Shumiao (10/5): - That night, we arrived at the motel close to 11 p.m. after a long day drive. The front desk was just about to close and the staff was getting off work — we almost couldn’t check in. Luckily, I signaled them to open the door. I had tried calling earlier when I saw them locking up, but no one answered. Just a heads-up: this motel is not open 24 hours.
- Ken (6/5): - If you're just looking for a place to sleep while you fish and/or play on the lake for a couple of nights, its super close, the bed was comfortable, I like that they give you a free bag of ice every day so I'd say it's fine. That said, my room was not ready at check in time, the floors were very dirty and definitely not vacuumed, and there was barely any TP, so the room definitely could've been prepared better.
- Julie (7/5): - It was clean and convenient for going to glendo reservoir. I had to sleep in the car with my dogs because they're not allowed. I tried to book the other hotel in glendo that allowed dogs, but it was booked. Due to the no dog policy, I won't book again.
- Kimberly (10/5): - Very clean and staff is very nice! It’s our go to!
- Monika (8/5): - .
- Dawn (8/5): - This is a nice place for us to stay during a recent fishing trip to Glendo. This isn't a 4 star motel, but it is clean and close to the lake.
- John (7/5): Good -
- jerrold (6/5): - WiFi is hit or miss. Outside plugins need worked on. Stuff left in fridge
- Monika (10/5): - I have always liked staying here when I do my drives to see family. Very comfortable and nice rooms!¡
- Kathy (8/5): - The rooms were clean and the lady who managed it was friendly.
- Bruce (8/5): Enjoyable - Location, cleanliness Broken bathroom exhaust fan,
Need more bed pillows, mattresses too soft
- bryan (10/5): - Sara checked us in quickly and each day we got our free bag of ice. Jody helped with a refund on extra night that wasn’t needed before their cancellation policy. Thank you.
- Bofinger (2/5): They charged me for three nights and I only stayed for one. - Clean Nothing
- Russell (8/5): Very good -
- EVAN (10/5): - It felt strange checking in to a hotel at a gas station cashier desk, but everyone was friendly! The rooms were warm in January and well maintained.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not ever staying there again - Accused of keeping the key from a previous stay. The woman checking me in wanted to argue with me that I didn’t leave it in the room just as I did. That always starts the night off …
- Monika (10/5): - .
- Monika (10/5): - .
- Taft (10/5): - Convenient
- Diane (10/5): - Very clean room very accommodating. Customer Service is very friendly. Would stay there again.
- LeAnn (2/5): - We arrived for our two rooms and they had to scramble to find two clean ones. We had two wheelchairs and could not get them in the rooms. Sarah apologized and promised to get our money refunded through Travelocity. We chased after them for days and never got anything refunded. I understand extenuating circumstances on firing the maid, but VERY disappointed to be promised a refund and then deliberately ignoring our phone calls so there is no refund.
- Kiki (8/5): - Very clean and spacious room
- Patrick (2/5): - LIKED THE REMODELING OF IT. I HATED THE BEDBUGS , IT UPSET ME BECAUSE OF FINDING THE BED BUGS AND MY GIRL FRIEND WAS BITTEN ON THE RIGHT LEG BY THE BEDBUGS, AND THE MANAGER OF THE MOTEL GAVE ME THE WRONG RECEIPT. AND SATURDAY A WORKER DRIVING A BLACK TRUCK WAS SPINNING AROUND BETWEEN THE HOTEL SRAYING PEBBLES AT THE MOTEL AND WINDOWS AND ALSO THE PEBBLES SPRAYED MY VAN AND WINDOWS AND ALL OVER THE SIDEWALK MANAGER WAS VERY POLITE. MATINANCE MAN
DID HIS BEST TO CONVINCE ME THAT IT WAS BETTLES. ALSO THE MANAGER GAVE ME THE WRONG RECIEPT IT WAS FOR ROOM 7 WE STAYED IN ROOM 6 .
- Justin (6/5): Pleasant - Bed was comfortable Location is behind gas station and right next to a railway line also had to check in/out at gas station
- Susan (8/5): Good place for overnight or for lake-going families. - We’ve stayed here before and like the comfortable, easily accessible cabin-style with a microwave and fridge since we get in late and leave early. Check-in is at the local convenience store that has a wide variety of food choices and anything else recreationists at the lake may need. Trains run regularly throughout the night. Also, on this trip, the bathroom trash had not been emptied, and someone’s toenail clippings had escaped the broom or vacuum. Everything else was clean though.
- Joyce (2/5): - It was hard to find and we arrived late and there was no one there to check us in. The place did not look safe and we had to find another hotel.
- Isaac (6/5): Pleasant - Clean rooms. Cozy No internet. Our devices never could connect to their wireless. Store/Office closes at 10pm so no one can help with it.
- Dhruba (2/5): - Luckily me and wife checked in early for this motel other wise that staff told us we might have to spend our night outside. There was two stuff working on the date 08/07 one male and one female both pretty old. When we got there to check in there was no check in booth rather than a Sinclair gas station. I called and they said they will send somebody with the keys from the gas station. When we got there they shouted at us to get the keys from the station. Very unprofessional and rude and also I had a feeling that they do not like people with colors. We spend 10 days on the road as we are traveling from California to Yellowstone never had an experience like this. I am going to call Expedia for this and make a complain against those two racist old hags.
- Christine (6/5): - Property was fine and clean however train went by every few hours. Noisy. People were very pleasant and helpful. Limited dining choices to walk too. Food very good.
- Denny (4/5): Uncomfortable beds - Don't book through hotels.com, or Expedia. They did not receive the reservation. Did not have the room booked online. Beds are old and really too soft.
- Ailed (8/5): Convenient stay for overnight rest - Convenient, roomy, nice comfortable mattresses, clean beds and spacious bathroom Location is next to busy train track, coffee pot was dirty
- Theresa (8/5): - This place so comfy it was clean has everything u need .
- james (6/5): - When in a bind ok place to stay. It was clean but very dated. Frequent commercial traffic was noisy.
- Frank (6/5): The staff inside the Gas Station is very friendly and willing to help in just about anyway they can. - Property was in good shape. The rooms were nice and roomy. The shower and the bathroom were adequate the kitchen. Small kitchen was nice. The property needed a deep cleaning. They vacuumed daily, but they don’t move the nightstand between the two beds and vacuum behind there very often. The dust with thick back there. There was dust on the top of the nightstand. The coffee pot, we couldn’t even use it. It had old used coffee filter in it, the glass coffee pot had not been cleaned. The coffee maker itself hadn’t been cleaned in sometime.
- Teresa (10/5): I enjoyed staying there - The breakfast was good.
- JOYCE (8/5): - My motel room at Howard’s Motel had a clean well made bed , clean bathroom and vanity. The refrigerator worked so well, it froze my food and drink—but my cooler’s ice blocks were perfectly refrozen for the journey home. The only thing that was somewhat uncomfortable for me, a single woman, was that the motel units have no landscaping surrounding them-just gravel. However, I was able to park my car right at the unit’s door—unpacking and packing my car easily and quickly. Also, the area surrounding the motel is well lit with security lights. I would stay at Howard’s again the next time i need a place to stay while in the area.
- Zune (2/5): - I reserved a room in this motel the day before from Orbitz. While driving there, I noticed an email from Orbitz asking to rate my checkin experience. Of course, I call Howards immediately and spoke to a woman about how I got checked when I’m still driving there. She told me my name wasn’t even on any of the reservations and that they were booked solid for weeks and never should’ve shown as available. She assured I wouldn’t be charged as that is done at checkout. Later as I had time to digest the whole thing, I called her back to explain to me why I would get an email indicating that I checked in if my name wasn’t even on the reservations. It had to have been initiated somehow by them. She now says, oh wait, a bunch of rsvp just came through late and she now sees my name! Ok, really?? I told her too late, I already found other accommodations (thank G!) and now I just want my money back. She told me she would check with Orbitz about this and will call me back. Well of course I never heard from her so I called Orbitz directly to discuss the situation. They could not speak to why their system showed availability when apparently there was none. They also tried to call her to sort out the issue but said she wasn’t picking up either. Eventually Orbitz refunded me. I want to note, I have stayed at Howards several years ago (booked through Orbitz) and also booked many other trips through Orbitz and never ever had issues before! This was definitely very shady by Howards! BEWARE!!!
- William (8/5): Worth the money - Great stay for quick fishing trip. Free bag of ice daily with room was super convenient. Walking distance to anything you need in town.
- Manuel (9/5): Superb - Check in was weird since it was at the gas station.
- Dawn (10/5): Fishing trip to Glendo Reservoir - This is a no friĺs hotel. Just what we needed for our fishing trip to Glendo Reservoir. You get a free bag of ice for each day of your stay.
- Julia (10/5): - Easy check in, pretty quiet place, not far from Hwy. Not a bad place for a small town. Will definitely use this place again.
- Erin (7/5): Good - Clean Saggy bed
- Danny (6/5): - flapper on toliet broke, no one came to fix it, very inconvience.
- Shelley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional - If you are traveling and you're anywhere near Glendo then you owe it to yourself to stay at this place. For under a hundred bucks it was the nicest room that I've stayed in. It had nice big fluffy towels in the room was spotless! I really was surprised that I paid under $100. The manager was very helpful and kind to me. On my 5-day trip Howard's was the best place that I stayed. they have a gas station and a store on the property which was very convenient for me Early morning there was some big trucks that went by and woke me up but it really was no big deal. I had to get up early anyway.
- Aaron (10/5): Best hotel under $100! - The room was super clean and I like there are no smoking policy. It had really nice fluffy towels in the bed was very comfortable. I like the bathroom as it was really large. I definitely feel that they could charge more because of its condition and it's right off the freeway exit. Is a great value and I would definitely stay there again if I was traveling through that area. There wasn't anything that I didn't like except the truck noise early in the morning but that wouldn't stop me from staying there again
- Stanley (10/5): Clean, modern rooms in old style motel. - Very clean rooms for a good price. Loved the old style where you just drive up to your door and park and unpack! Don't be fooled by the industrial looking exterior, the rooms are spotless and updated. Nothing.
- Jessica (10/5): - Close to Glendo! Plenty space to park your boat
- Judy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tony (7/5): Overall not bad - Location is good, service not bad, friendly service. The bed was too soft, feel like sleeping on a water bed. For the price should include breakfast with it. A little confuse as to where to check in at the gas station.
- Cynthia (10/5): - Convenient, affordable, clean, stocked with amenities and towels.
Was between the interstate and railroad tracks but wasn’t horrific, really didn’t notice.
- Randall (10/5): We were there to fish and needed overnight accommodations, which they fit our bill perfectly. - No breakfast served, though the store had everything we wanted. Nothing.
- Robert (6/5): - Read the reviews and not one said the motel was located between the interstate and a set of railroad tracks where the train ran at least hourly all night. If you are a light sleeper this place is not for you. The floor had not been vacuumed, there were cob webs with bugs hanging from the ceiling and the bed had many short hairs in it. It looked clean but one has to wonder. I would be hard pressed to stay here again.
- Gregg (10/5): Nice stay. - Pretty basic room, very clean. No issues with anything.
About 40 yards from the train tracks - I felt the vibration when the train went by but barely heard it. If you're a light sleeper that might be a problem. Slept great!
- William (8/5): A clean and comfortable oasis. - I stopped in Wheatland only to discover, on Hotels.com, that the several motels there were all booked. But a room was available at Glendo, a tiny town an hour north, so I booked it. Howard's is part of a gas station/convenience store, although physically separate and about 100 yards away. I checked in at the gas station, which was quick and easy. There are only about six motel units, in two small buildings. They seem to be new and my room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There were, however, two things that were disagreeable. First, the entire complex was unpaved and only covered with gravel, not paved. Second, there is a railroad track about 50 feet away. The first time a train came through, in the middle of the night, I woke up with a "what the h*ll?" experience. It seemed like a UFO had landed on the roof. Once I figured out what was happening it was cool, but I probably woke up every time a train ran by.
- Claire (10/5): What a gem! - Really nice, clean and newly refurbished motel room. It was a real gem in the woodpile to find such a great place near to our family camping in the State Park.
Check in at the gas station went smoothly and a fully stocked store had all the essentials and more. We will stay again!
- Kevin (10/5): - Grwat room, I would have like a place to hang my shirts that wasn't right next to the shower. But a nice place to stay.
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Ken (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (10/5): The fella at gas station was very welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed - Close to gas station and highway. Checking in at the gas station, never got any notice that I would need to do that, seemed sketchy, but not bad if I would have known
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Phillip (8/5): - Liked it was close to the reservoir rooms are clean but outside of the rooms is nothing but weeds
- PAMELA K (10/5): - The price was very reasonable. The room was clean and bathroom has been upgraded. Parking area gravel and lots of traffic around convenience store but I’m okay with both those things. Would stay here again!!!
- Mitzi (9/5): Superb -
- leondra (10/5): - Cute! Just what we needed. Fridge microwave and coffee pot in the room.
Very clean and plenty of room for 4 of us.
- greyroads (2/5): AVOID- NO MATTER WHAT! - Do not ever book this motel! Had reservations on June 27th and when we arrived was told that there were no rooms or reservations for me. Showed them a printout of reservation. Basically was told TS could not have a room. This was after a delayed flight and delays for I25 construction. Had to end up driving over an hour north and stopping at 3 places before getting a room.
- Linda (10/5): Wyoming 2023 - Amazing little motel—spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, a table with two chairs, and plenty of room.
- Jordan (7/5): Good -
- Alan (10/5): - The place was cleaner than an operating room in a hospital
- Sandra (8/5): Glendo is a small town - nice place to visit including Glendo park/ lake -
- Beki (10/5): - A nice little place
- John (8/5): Very good -
- jerrold (10/5): - Good
- Eric (8/5): - convenient and a good price
- Dana (2/5): - Check in was horrible, they didn’t know anything about the whole proses. They had us for one room ( we booked 2) and on the wrong night!
Took 45 minutes to FINALLY get checked in.
Horrifying and horrible!! We will NEVER EVER stay there again.
- bryan (10/5): - Great location near reservoir. Dining options and fair pricing for rooms
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - How beautiful the location is and how big the rooms are Availability for people traveling long ways and not having a way to get ahold of someone after hours
- Sykia (10/5): Exceptional - It was cute and small enough just for me love how big the bathroom was
- Laura (8/5): - Clean rooms and a reasonable rate
- Shawn (10/5): Excellent rooms for spending the days at the lake. - Wry friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were nice and very clean. Great atmosphere.
- Jonathan (7/5): Good -
- Mark (7/5): Good -
- Robert (5/5): Passable - Didn't have one The staff in the morning wasn't friendly, the afternoon staff was friendly
- Andrea (8/5): Prefect location in town. Clean and reasonably priced. - Glendo is a tiny town just off the freeway. Lodging is sparse and Howard's is a great old stand-by. Room was private. Nice to drive up to the door. TV, beds and towels-all good. Howard's was happy to accommodate my service K9. Matresses seemed to have some age on them with some areas feeling like you were in a hole.
- James (8/5): Clean. Close to state park. - Basic motel room. Stained chairs but all else was clean. Updated bath. Location is big gravel lot. Ok for overnight, but no place to hang out.
- Sharon (8/5): - I would recommend anyone travelling threw to stop and stay the night.
Very cute room, comfortable
- Florin (10/5): Just passing through on the bike. - It was an ok motel. Situated directly between the railroad tracks on one side and the interstate on the other. Nothing fancy at all, but it was clean and comfortable. Dirt road and parking. I just needed a place to sleep for the night passing through on the bike.
- Mike (7/5): Fine - Location was good Mattress was too soft
- Helen (10/5): - Immaculate, newly remodeled, had everything we needed a roadside store next door. Rustic on the outside with updated interior. You have to realize it's along the interstate and next to a train busy train track but you get used the noise and it adds to the ambiance of the location! Staff are well informed about the community as they are long time residents. WE had everything we needed including wi-fi and laundry if we had needed it. We had an easy drive to Lake Glendo to meet up with our family, and 2 bags of free ice every day. The motel is tucked behind the service station/store just off the freeway so be sure the head for the gas station store to check in. 10 stars if there were that many, considering you are in the open country of wonderful Wyo.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Overall a good experience - We showed up one day later than expected. We offered to pay for both nights and the woman who checked us in was very rude and stating she probably cancelled the reservation and made us feel like we drove out here and weren't going to have any accomodations. She also told us they get often get overbooked from 3rd parties and then she doesn't know why people are mad at the establishment. Other than that the stay was great and it's nice to be by the convenience store
- bryan (8/5): - Perfect location for our needs
