• Lizzie (10/5): Value for money - Everything was good. The owner was very nice and friendly. The accommodation is close to shops and restaurants. My room wasn't next to the road, so it was pretty quiet. I slept well. The toilet was good, and the hot shower worked well. Overall, I was happy with my stay. I highly recommend this place. Nothing to complain about.
• Lotte (9/5): Good value for money, very helpful owner - The owner is super friendly and gives many tips about the surroundings and visiting Caral. The room is good value for money. Location is a short walk away from the plaza de armas and the beach.

• Arista Rolin (9/5): Recomendable el Hostal Los Ángeles - Me agradó mucho la estadía,la señora Marilú muy amable con todos y te indica los lugares turísticos,precios muy cómodos y muy cerca a la playa. Bastante recomendable🥰 Podrían invertir un poco más en la fachada externa y en un cartel para identificar al hospedaje.
• Friedrich (10/5): un lugar lindo, acogedor y bien ubicado :) - el lugar es acogedor y muy bien ubicado – muy cerca a la plaza de armas y un caminito de 5-10 minutos para llegar a la playa. y ya, sí, la dueña es la persona más amable y ayuda con cualquier pregunta. importante: pregunten por el desayuno! incluso se puede personalizar y viene a un preciazo 😍

• Rachael (10/5): Fantastic! - The Hostess was an absolute angel! Really kind, warm and welcoming and came to bus station with us to help us book a ticket and ensure we got a good deal. She did the same for our trip to Caral. It is the perfect stop off for a visit to Caral!

• Tristan (9/5): Good for a few days in Barranca - Really friendly, helpful staff - the owner is lovely and very helpful! The room was comfortable, the water was hot and wifi worked really well! Not much to complain about for the price!

• Tobah (10/5): Incredible ! - We had such a wonderful stay here — Mary Lou went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. She personally walked us to the bus station to help us get to Caral, and when I got sick, she made me tea and offered me anything I needed, and gave us total flexibility with check-out. She was so kind, full of hugs, and made us feel right at home. Despite our limited Spanish, she was incredibly patient with us using Google Translate and never made us feel like a burden. Her whole family is lovely and made the stay even more special. Could not recommend this place more — truly one of the kindest hosts we’ve ever met! ❤️ Wifi was a bit here and there but other than that absolutely nothing!

• William (7/5): Solo traveler from USA 🇺🇸 - Everything was good for the price. I thought that I reserved for two nights. Either I messed up with dates or something happened at booking.com. Most likely, I had only 1 night reserved and paid for another. They didn't have change, so there was a lot of confusion when settling the cost. If you're going to accept cash, you should always have change for the customer. In the end, the stay was okay, but I ended up paying more than it should have been. Next time they tell me they don't have change, I will turn around and walk out.

I truly enjoyed my time in Barranca due in large part to Marilou and her warmth and loving family. I will be recommending this hotel to friends and family.

• Sven (5/5): Passable - The owners have a disabled son who made noise all night long. I don't want to spend any money on something like that. If I could, I would ask for my money back. I absolutely cannot recommend the hotel.

Lovely breakfast with a personal touch. She (and her son) are really 'Angeles'. I would definitely stay here again. It's a bit hard to locate as there is no sign outside. Room can get a bit stuffy.

Location was excellent being close to the center of town and also walking distance to the beach. I had a wonderful stay because the owner is just an amazing host. She showed me were to go to get to Caral and personally accompanied me to the bus station to get a ticket for the next day. I would absolutely stay here again! Muchas Gracias! Nothing. Was a great place to stay to see Caral.

Elle propose un déjeuner de base à bon prix, très pratique. Elle est gentille, sympathique, serviable. Elle aime discuter. ❤️ Si vous devez passer par Barranca/Caral, allez y dormir. Vous serez en sécurité et bien entouré.

• Roisin (8/5): Cheap and cheerful - Our hostess was very welcoming and kind, and helped us with things like toiletries, recommendations, and getting a tuk tuk. The room was clean and comfortable, albeit very small. Well-located near restaurants and shops. Above all, it was extremely cheap and great value for money. It was quite small, with no storage space and hard for two people to move around at the same time. It's also pretty noisy from the street, music, roosters etc.

• Gfeller (10/5): Where is it? - The owner is the nicest lady you will ever come across. Just super naturally nice. At first we could not find it regardless of staying in front of it. There is no sign. It is the tsll round blue building Know hard on the door.
• Benjamin (9/5): Superb - Marilou the owner of this hostal is most gracious! Everything was in good order... clean room, good breakfast, etc. but she also went out of her way to walk me to her fav restaurant on my first night, and then to the unsigned 'collectivos' area the next morning for me to catch one to Caras. There is a small dance studio nearby and some street noise at night, but both noises die out by 9 or 10pm. I did not need ear plugs, but just mentioning for anyone needing an early night's rest.
• Gregory (2/5): Catastrophic, don't go there - Good location The entrance looks like an abandoned photo copy shop. Nobody at reception. Creepy son of the owner trying to handle business. We saw the owner once when checking in, she seemed nice and offered us breakfast for the following day. We never saw her again nor did we see the breakfast. Old facilities, top floors under renovation. Creepy place

• Matthew (5/5): Where else are you gonna stay in Barranca? - Very good location. Staff was a family with mom and children, were relatively friendly and accommodating, really wanted to help. The mom and son were the best part of the visit. Ensuite bathroom with decent hot water (be patient - it will arrive), and good wifi. Very easy to walk to cafes, restaurants, and the beach. Also easy to get to the bus stations in town from here. No real signage, so it was weird to arrive and not see an obvious entry point or doorbell. It's really unclear to me whether this was an actual hostel or just a room in a family's home because the location is also a location for a photography business. The breakfast was let's say unusual and creative: a huge papaya, some crusty bread, and pecans. It was cold at night and the window of the bedroom faced the street, so there is occasional noise.

She made me most delicious breakfast in the morning and went out of her way to help us translate with people to make sure we were taken care of. She was beyond helpful. we had a private room and the location is perfect, quiet at night and only 1 block from the city square.
