• Adam (9/5): Definitely booking again! - Great location and unit!! Everything was very clean and worked perfectly. The bed even slept pretty good especially considering I have had back surgery. We also thoroughly enjoyed the full kitchen with silverware, plates, etc. You absolutely cannot beat how nice the building/units are especially combined with how spacious the units are. It was a little hard to get additional towels/bedding but I would suggest making the request at check in since there are only 2 towels sets in a unit. They will bring them though but needs to be during housekeeping hours during the day and ordered in advance.

A lot of sockets to charge your stuff. -manager was not friendly (he did his job, but it looked like he was not happy doing it) -nobody took out our trash for 5 days - we took it out by ourself -nobody changed sheets for all these days - we had to ask multiple times. -we asked for fresh bar of soap - nobody brought it -gym has no barbell It is great service for 3 star hotel, but no 5 star - not even close to 4 in my opinion.

Not a full blown service hotel so I didn't mind that the front staff is just one dude. Room had a decent view, but one window was completely covered in white residue from the outside. AC is automatic, so to turn it off you have to lift this heavy metal plate. Dropped it on on my toe at night "Ouch" Code for room and door to get in is a little annoying too.

• ISABELLA (5/5): Nice place, but poorly managed. - The property is nice and clean. Room is ok; there is also a spacious and comfortable lounge with a wellness center. We did not find bedsheets for the sofa bed upon arrival, so we had to sleep all together in the king bed (we were four guests). In addition, the coffee machine (a Nespresso) was not working, so we were unable to have our morning coffee. It was repaired the following day, but they tested the . machine with all the provided capsules leaving us without any coffee. So basically no coffee for the two days. Finally, we were only granted a late check-out until 1 pm instead of the usual 2 pm, without any explanation. Despite this, I was charged the full late check-out fee. It is also worth noting that there is no fridge available, which can be inconvenient for storing food

• NSD (7/5): Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans l'établissement 17 John's. - L'établissement et l'appartement sont conformes aux photos du site. Le personnel est très agréable et serviable. L'établissement est très bien situé (plusieurs métros à côté)L'appartement que nous avions est trés lumineux et spacieux et on peut vivre tranquillement sans se gêner à 4 et il y a beaucoup de rangements. Il y a un espace lounge très agréable et très bien décoré au 2ème étage (avec café et thé à disposition) ; canapé et écran TV et plusieurs tables pour travailler ou autre activité. Il y a également une salle de sport (non utilisée). La literie du canapé n'est pas très confortable et le lit grince beaucoup. Les fenêtres ne sont pas assez isolées car nous avions pas mal de bruit la nuit provenant des 2 rues adjacentes
• Michelle (10/5): Highly recommend. Would stay here again and again. - Location is great—easy access to subway stations. Studio is huge and felt like my NYC studio of my dreams. At first I had mixed feelings about the keyless lock entries but after the first day I appreciated not having to carry around a hotel card or key. Staff is super friendly and accommodating, especially Rose and Rachel. Walls are a little thin—sometime I could hear others on the floor talking if they were loud enough. Not a big deal—just turned up the volume on my TV.

The unit was very run down with damage to furniture and bathroom. It didn’t look like it was cleaned properly, or things put back from previous guest. Not enough light in bedroom area. The biggest issue was the 6ft marble coffee table that had to be moved to use the sofa bed, which we needed to do every night. Ridiculous!

Volwassen zou ik niet doen gezien het dunne matras. Appartement is verder netjes. Duidelijk veel gebruikt door gasten. Zie je bijvoorbeeld terug aan de keuken waar stukjes uit de deur zijn of strips loslaten. Op de tweede verdieping is een fitnessruimte. Deze is netjes met modern apparatuur. Kan je ook nog zitten, hier hebben we geen gebruik van gemaakt. De locatie was uitstekend. Om de hoek zit een metrostation waar je de verschillende lijnen kunt kiezen. Uitzicht was niet fraai omdat je uitkeek op een braak liggend terrein waar afval lag. Maar dit is niet zozeer een probleem omdat we de hele dag weg waren.

Given the lack of service apartments in Manhattan, this place really could be a gem but it became a source of stress for us during the entire stay. At one point we were locked out of the apartment as they changed door codes without any notice. After weeks of leaving New York, this place still haunts us, that’s how big the impact of a poor stay can be. Please consider this review constructively and not just as a criticism.

The front desk staff was unfriendly and unhelpful, every question asked was responded by “I don’t know” even questions about the neighbourhood or highlights of NYC. Poorly served!

• Sadiyah (6/5): - I liked the size of the room given that we got an upgrade because of the broken air conditioning. One gentleman on the front desk was incredibly rude, arrogant, unfriendly and unhelpful. Honestly ruined our stay as we were unable to ask for any assistance from him and felt uncomfortable when entering the building if he was on shift because we were fearful of his attitude and reaction towards us. The hotel also had a strange structure where front desk are unable to help with anything (even to help provide clean towels), where we had to go through a separate online system to ask for anything.

• jonathan (1/5): Great hotel with a great location. Poor customer service. - Good location, great facilities. Hotel made 6 un-orthorised pre-authorisations on the card used to make the booking totally USD1500. Hotel refused to reverse the authorizations and I had to submit a claim to my card provider which returned the money 1 month after the transactions were made. Reception on site have nothing to do with the operations of the business, email is the only form of communication they provide, very dishonest behavior.

• Joseph (10/5): Love it! - The room was really spacious, very clean and everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The kitchen was very functional and was equipped with everything we needed. It is a real home away from home and was a very inviting space to come home to after busy days. It was great that there was a fabulous Irish Bar just a couple of doors down. The girls on reception were very friendly and responsive. There were really no negatives. The location was great with lots of transport options close by. The only negatives (minor) were the very unfriendly security guard who was on duty in the evenings and the creaky elevators- but the elevator issue was being addressed.
• John (10/5): Great location, very comfortable and amazing value for money. - Great location, right beside Fulton Center. Also very quiet considering the location. The room was a great size, well equipped with kitchen equipment, and very comfortable overall. The overall amenities were excellent. I was very impressed with the laundry room and the well equipped and modern gym. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Great value for money, I would strongly recommend 17John for anyone visiting New York! Nothing much to add here. I had a very pleasant stay.

• Claus (10/5): Perfect for a week to explore NYC! - I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Hotel 17 John in New York City! The location truly couldn’t be better — perfectly situated with incredible access to multiple subway lines, making it effortless to get anywhere in Manhattan or Brooklyn and reach all the major sights quickly and easily. Getting to and from JFK was just as convenient thanks to the seamless connection via the AirTrain and the A line. What really stood out was the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. No matter the time or request, they were always there with a smile and ready to assist, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The rooms are another highlight — surprisingly spacious for Manhattan, very well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed, offering a level of comfort that exceeded expectations. On top of that, everything you could possibly need is right outside the door: great shopping, restaurants, cafés, and dinner spots all within easy walking distance. I can highly recommend Hotel 17 John — it’s the perfect base for exploring New York City while enjoying comfort, convenience, and outstanding service! Nothing to complain! Maybe housekeeping could come more often, but I'm sure you can ask for it. I didn't! So nothing to complain about this.

• Filippo (9/5): Nel FiDi ma molto comodo a tutte le attrazioni. - La posizione è ottimale, con la stazione della metropolitana a 200 metri. Vicinissimi punti per mangiare qualcosa di veloce, o per comprare altro da cucinare (Whole Foods a 500 metri). La dimensione dell'appartamento (non è semplicemente una camera) consentono soggiorni anche lunghi, vista la presenza di una spaziosa cabina armadio. Personale cortese, pulizia più che accettabile. La rumorosità a New York è normale, tenetene conto se credete che vi possa recare fastidio. Asciugamani consegnati più che velocemente non appena richiesti, ma forse un cambio giornaliero sarebbe da prevedere.

• Susana (10/5): Una verdura joya! - Es una verdadera joya!!! Excelente precio para lo que ofrecen. Un apartamento muy amplio y moderno, algo difícil de conseguir en NYC. Cuenta con una cocina perfecta para resolver comidas prácticas. El detalle de la cafetera con abastecimiento de café colombiano es un detalle único! La lavandería, el gym y el lounge para espera, son un plus muy importante, todo está diseñado con detalle, aquí nada es improvisado ni descuidado. La ubicación es perfecta. A solo unas cuadras del Oculus y Memorial 9/11. A una cuadra de la Estación de Metro Fulton donde pasaban varias de las líneas principales. En la misma calle se consiguen varios restaurantes abiertos hasta la media noche. Y justo debajo hay un Duane reade para compras básicas como huevos, pan y aseo básico. No dudaremos en regresar para nuestra próxima visita!

• Patrick (9/5): Perfekt für einen Städtetrip! - Die Lage war unfassbar gut. Fussläufig sehr viel erreichbar und die nächste Metro Station war keine 2min entfernt mit sehr guter Anbindung an alle Sehenswürdigkeiten. Das Apartment hatte die perfekte Größe und Ausstattung für einen Städtetrip. Trotz der zentralen Lage sehr ruhige Umgebung. Nur Kleinigkeiten: Das Licht im Schrank ging leider trotz geschlossener Tür nicht aus und hat nachts entsprechend etwas gestört. Der Kühlschrank war ebenfalls etwas zu laut.

• Joseph (9/5): - 17 John ia the perfect place to stay while visiting NY. Location is amazing with easy access to retail, dining, transport and markets. The room is spacious, clean and the kitchen is well appointed for a short stay. It would have been even better if there was a toaster. The Bathroom is roomy, very clean, great hot water and has quality shower products. The guest laundry is a bonus and so convenient. 4 new washers and driers are available for guests with laundry detergent provided. Minor issues that we notified management about were dealt with promptly and with a smile! 17 John is like a little home away from home! We would definitely stay here again. If I'm being picky, I'd say the hair drier was pretty old and inefficient. There were a few minor issues but nothing that would impact your stay. A great place overall. .

• GS Narayanan (6/5): It was an average hotel - Security System was good I had booked THE PRESIDENTIAL SUITE in this Property. That means it is the MOST PREMIUM PROPERTY. I stayed 4 nights. ALL Nights the Front Hall AC did NOT WORK. No one came to the room to clean it all the 4 days.

• JC (7/5): Guter Aufenthalt - Die Lage war sehr zentral. Die Studios sind sehr geräumig. Zugang zum Gebäude nur mit Code. WLAN hat gut funktioniert. Nette neue Lounge. Es gibt einen laundry room, was sehr praktisch war. Wir hatten ein Zimmer, in dem es stark nach Zigaretten gerochen hat. Die MA am Empfang war leider nicht im geringsten hilfreich. Über die Hotline hat man sich bemüht, uns nach zwei Nächten ein anderes Zimmer zu geben. Die Küchen sind leider nicht identisch ausgestattet. Hier besteht Verbesserungsbedarf. In unserem Zimmer war der Aufzug sehr laut zu hören, auch das Stühle rücken auf dem oberen Stockwerk.

Не хватает крючков и полочек в ванной комнате, нет посуды для готовки и разогревания в микроволновой печи. Не хватает кухонных полотенец и какого-нибудь маленького ручного пылесоса, так как уборка не производится.

The room felt more like a small apartment, with a kitchen and extra space that made our stay very comfortable. Clean, modern, and a great home base for exploring the city. The staff was also kind and responsive! It was all good!
