• nMr (8/5): ロケーションの良いお宿 - 404号室蒼葉に1泊しましたが、まず部屋が広い！ 半露天？になるのかな、、湯船も広く深くで良い 食事は多くもなく少なくもなく、優しめの味付けで個室なのも良かったです。 ロビーからの景色は朝も夕方も夜も最高でした。 シャワーブースも病院の個室みたいでしたが腰掛けられるので楽かと思います！ トイレや水周りも綺麗で新しく使いやすかったです！ お風呂のお湯の温度が全く下がらず44℃！調整してもらって42℃って言われましたが、少し経つと44℃に戻ってその度加水してましたが、加水もすぐ止まるので入るまでに時間がかかりました。 多分ですが、建物の構造的にお風呂の景色いい側、他の部屋から丸見えかもしれません。 夜になると電気がついてるお部屋が見えたので せっかくですが、ブラインドをしないと入れませんでした。 そこも残念な点でした。 あと浴衣がもう少し丈が長いと助かります。 食事は個室だったので、気にせずゆっくり出来ましたが 飲み物を注文したくても備え付けの電話の案内がなく 配膳のタイミングでしか頼めずでした。 受話器を取っても、番号適当に押しても繋がらず メニュー表にも記載がなかったので改善されると嬉しいです。 売店に乾物のおつまみ置いてもらえると嬉しいです。

• Feena (10/5): A wonderful hotel with amazing food and staff - The hotel was wonderful, we had such a fantastic stay. The view was amazing as was the food, especially the traditional Japanese evening meal. The staff were really just so wonderful and helpful and we couldn't speak more highly of them - especially Charlie on reception. They went out of their way to look after us and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We stayed the first week of April and as the ski slopes next to the hotel were already closed for the season, the hotel provided a free shuttle drop off and pick up to nearby ski areas. We would highly recommend this hotel if you are thinking of visiting Shiga Kogen.

• Jenni (10/5): Perfect slopeside retreat - We booked a private onsen slope-side room with dinner and breakfast. It was exceptional. Comfy beds, gorgeous private onsen and the in-room massage chair was amazing. The view from the room and Onsen looked out over the Giant valley and mountains. We were treated to a few fabulous sunsets too. The dinners were incredible, local ingredients and authentic Japanese set menu. Be prepared for a lot of food! The staff were exceptional. They went above and beyond to help. We did a day off the slopes to visit the Snow Monkeys and Shibu Onsen and the front desk team helped me plan the buses. We never saw the housekeeping team but their presence was always felt in our immaculate room. The ski-in, ski-out facilities are awesome. Easy, warm storage a few steps from the gondola. Thank you Team Hotel Higashidate! No dislikes, but a few points worth noting. The hotel is on the slopes and if the gondola closes, you need to take the ski shuttle bus to get back. It is not a party hotel, the vibe is very much one of serene calm. The food is proudly Japanese, which we loved. The set menu was different each night on a 4 night rotation.

Команда готовилась к нашему приезду, им было сложно с группой иностранцев, но они молодцы! Для катальщиков – ски ин/ски аут – это удобно! Сушильная комната справляется с просушкой оборудования, хотя система для ботинок доисторическая. Можно было придумать и вешалки для одежды, чтобы в номера не уносить. Стиралка есть, порошок нужно купить отдельно на ресепшн Некоторые номера требуют обновления. В современном мире иметь душ и туалет в номере - это необходимость, а не роскошь. Хотелось бы за такую стоимость чтобы хотя бы душ был в комнате. Интернета практически нет. Не рассчитывайте поработать. В некоторых номерах нет еще и холодильника. Проката нет, хотя визуально он есть. Магазин есть, но купить там нечего. Автоматы с напитками были пустые

• Jensen (8/5): Not a bad stay if you can a good deal - The location is perfect. Ski in ski out. Food was good. Not great. Their tatami mattress is not the most comfortable. We moved to another 5-star ryokan which has much better tatami. The staff hospitality was average by Japanese standard. They do the minimum - help get the ski rental, arrange taxi (need constant reminder though). Typical old fashioned Japanese ryokan - nobody speaks English and attitude towards foreigners could be more welcoming.
• Felipe Yen Lun (8/5): We had a nice stay, but we came a bit early. - The views outside the lobby and the room is pretty good. Although we had a bathroom in our room, we never use it because we love the onsen in the hotel. The catering is also quite nice. The staff were very helpful. There was quite a few days that we couldn’t make it to the bus back to the hotel, and we were stuck at Ichinose. The shuttle service offered by the hotel saved us. We came here for skiing, but we arrived too early in the season (The ski resort officially opened on 20th Dec, we arrived on 21th). The Higashitateyama ski resort is not yet open. This makes it really hard to go back to the hotel because the bus is not very frequent. It would have been a very nice location if all the ski resort is open because the hotel is right next to the ski lift.
• HoLLi (10/5): Amazing location, staff, room and food - Such an amazing location in ShigaKogan! We had a top floor onsen room that was spacious, comfortable, modern with the luxuries included (massage chair, private onsen, and private dining with a 10+ course dinner every night - some of the BEST Japanese food I have eaten). While the staff had limited English they were beyond accommodating and were happy to for us to use translation apps and appreciative of our poor Japanese language skills. The staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful in arranging our luggage transport and assisting with our departure. Some of the floors of the hotel are a touch dated...but it added to the charm of our stay and overall experience. We will definitely be back :) Nothing at all

Le onsen est sympa, les lits confortables, la vu excellente, et les repas traditionnels au top. Si j'avais un seul point négatif à dire, c'est la route pour y accéder. Mais ça, ce n'est pas la faute de l'hôtel. D'ailleurs, le matin ils nous ont même raccompagner à la gare la plus proche (quand même une petite demi-heure de route dans la montagne).

• Leo (9/5): Amazing, would go again. - The staff, and the service was excellent. Environment was very clean and welcoming. The room smelt kind of weird, like mud, and the air was quite dull and dry. WIFI didn’t work on floors below 2.

• Winnie (8/5): - Staff is super helpful. Location is fantastic. On the slope, close to the chairlift. You can get your lift ticket at the chairlift station and you can rent your skis at the hotel. Great breakfasts and dinners provided by the hotel. Unbelievable views. Not far from the shuttle bus stop. Head down to your left side and the hotel is the second one down. Highly recommended if you want a traditional japan accomodation experience.
• Honey (8/5): - Everything was great except housekeeping. Instead of full-time staff, the interns were the ones cleaning the rooms. Socks was swept beneath the bed, personal pillows and clothes were left on the ground. Only the edge of the table was wiped. Replenishing of toilet mugs kept decreasing and even had some suspicious liquid in it on the last day of housekeeping. Onsen towels were not cleared and kept piling up.

• Warin (10/5): - Private onsen in room. Japanese style breakfast and dinner. Ski-in-ski-out to gondola and quad lift which lead to many beginner to advance trails. Loads of amenities. Park a car at hoppo onsen bus stop and call the hotel to pick us.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing Views and Service - We were looking for somewhere unique to stay while skiing Shiga Kogen and absolutely found it here. The couple that runs it works very hard to ensure that everything is perfect during your stay from picking you up at the bus stop (if needed), prepping AMAZING breakfasts and dinners and answering any questions you may have. Highly recommended!
