Guest Reviews

- Rafael (10/5): Decent spot - It was a clean decent spot secured parking plenty of places to get food around. Other than no AC. Decent spot for a decent price!
- Segolene (10/5): - I was pleasantely surprised. It was our first time. We usually sayy at the West Plaza, but we got tired of paying 80 bucks.. The lady that checked us in was super sweet and helpful, i was able to park.my car in a gated parking and the room was super clean. I didnt mind the noise. We will be back for sure. Super affordable
- Madison (2/5): - LA MUJER QUE ME RECIBIO HOY ESTA TARDE FUE SUPER GROSERA ME OFENDIO ME INSULTO ME DISCRIMINO Y SE BURLO DE MI ME GRITO EN PUBLICO FRENTE A MI PAREJA
- Richard (2/5): - Nice staff but rooms are small, no air conditioning
- MaKayla (8/5): - The place was an amazing stay, the only issue is that the hotel does not honor the discounted price on Expedia. Both times I've made a reservation, and they used the hotel's set prices and disregarded the discount offered on Expedia. For example: Expedia said it was cheaper a night and its a flash deal, but when you arrive, the price is either $7-9 more expensive than mentioned on the site(depending on if you go Sun-Thurs or Fri/Sat). It's not much, but still I could've found a place that actually offered the discounted price per night instead of being bamboozled when I'm tired from traveling all day. Also, when you book on Expedia, they require you to pay in person, so realistically, you were lied to and never actually going to get the discounted price in the first place. I hate to have to make this review despite everything else being good. I just wish there was honesty and transparency, not a trick just to get me to book with them.

- Miguel (10/5): - property itself was nice, constant police sirens not as much
- Carlos (10/5): - Bueno bonito y barato
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Insanely loud drumming and music from the house or bar next door. Sounded like it was in the. Not very relaxing. The hotel needs to post that on Orbitz so potential customers are warned. Water in the shower changes temperatures from scorching hot to warm back and forth.
- Jose Alfredo (10/5): - This place is excellent it has its own parking lot that is gated for guests only
- Family (2/5): - My room was not ready and was told I had to wait 3 hours what kind of hotel does that.
- Dolores (8/5): weekend in TJ - Good overall
- Dolores (8/5): Great weekend - It was ok, just had to ask for room to be cleaned since they don’t do it everyday for you.
- Kadene (8/5): reasonable place - Great so far just terrible internet connection in my room. The staffs are very kind and professional ☺️
- Jose (2/5): - No too good
- Steven (10/5): - For the not bad
- Kathleen (8/5): - A bit noisy. But clean and very convenient location.
- Stephen (10/5): Excellent!!! - I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. It's located close to bars, restaurants, stores, and the route taxis in Tijuana. I walked to the border in twenty minutes. My reservation and check-in was without issues. The rooms have cable TV in english and the local San Diego tv stations. Great hotel.
- Jesús Daniel (8/5): Bueno y cómodo - Bien
- Andrew (2/5): - The staff was unfriendly, they had no parking available. They lie in the listing stating parking is included but it costs extra and they gave away our room even though we had a reservation. 0/10
- George (2/5): - Disrespectfully and without any advice. They decided to give away my reservation just because l arrived according to them "too late" for those future guests who live in USA and sometimes traffic to enter to Mexico may take longer . When l tried to explain my reasons the person at front desk completely ignored me and that was not only offensive but unnecessary.
- Yenny (2/5): - The place is full of roaches, no air conditioning room was at 90. I was forced to pay. The front desk agent extremely rude and said if you were expecting something different then you should of paid more.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Check in is until 7pm, which we knew, however my bf called and asked if we can check in at 9:30 and Fernando on the phone said yes. Once we check in, it was another guy and he said no we can’t check in because it’s after 7pm. After traveling for hours, it was frustrating hearing that! He told me to cancel the Expedia and rebook it. Why?? And I couldn’t even cancel it so he made a new reservation which makes no sense. Anyway, we finally got the key and the rooms are extremely hot!!!!!!!! We had a horrible first night. The rooms have no ac and that was my mistake for not checking. We literally had to sleep with the door cracked open so fresh air can go in. Very suffocating room. The next morning we checked out immediately and found a different hotel around the corner with ac. Customer service was horrible and the rooms are horrible. Do NOT book here and pay more so you can get something better!!
- Martha (4/5): NO RESPETARÁN RESERVACIONES DESPUES 7:00 PM.
- Greg (2/5): Don’t book here, waste of time - I had booked just short of a full week at Hotel Santa Fe on Hotels.com and they turned me away telling me my reservation wasn’t valid. I showed them my receipt and reservation and the man at the front desk just said “sorry, we don’t have any rooms.” I had just gotten to the country and didn’t have international service on my phone and asked if I could either use their WiFi or phone to call hotels.com so I could sort it out and they just blatantly said no to both. Fortunately I booked another hotel and hotels.com gave me a voucher for my troubles, but don’t waste your time with this terribly run place.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Conveniently located hotel in a quiet yet safe part of town
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very spacious rooms, water pressure was really nice. Price is untouchable and I would surely recommend to friends and family. No air conditioner but has a big fan and a balcony you can open up to get more air or sit and relax on. Shopping starts time you walk out. Excellent street food, pharmacies,
- Joseph (8/5): Viva La Mexico - It was an amazing stay. I would vook again
- Verified traveler (2/5): Take your business elsewhere!
Avoid at all costs... They do not honor your reservation!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Reservations not honored - I arrived at 3 pm and my reservation for a room with 2 beds was not upheld. It seemed like the reservation didn't mean anything. Otherwise, nice value hotel.
- Christopher (8/5): Has everything but a good night rest. - It is a great little place at a bargain price, but unfortunately it is too noisy there. You will not sleep at all until you are completely exhausted. There is loud music all night and construction noise in the morning/day. Good luck finding anytype of rest. But the staff is very hospitable. The place is clean and the room small but comfortable. There was an issue with water pressure, but I think they maybe can resolve that with some attention.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I have been in TJ on business for the last 2 qeeks and have stayed at all the hotels in the Centro/Revolutuon area. Hotel Santa Fe is a class above all the others in terms of cleanliness, comfort, quietness, friendly staff, not a no-tell motel, work space, desk, comfortable bed, HEATED room (i caught a cold from the other hotels having NO HEATING and no blankets- Feb 2021). Wish i coyld book long term but unfortunately it's only nightly. Dont book online, you get a better rate booking at the hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I was pleasantly surprised with Hotel Santa Fe. I normally stay around the corner at Hotel Catalina but they were closed this time so I decided to try Santa Fe. The only difference I noticed between the two is Santa Fe offers free on site parking.
- Lawrence (10/5): Location location - Location is amazing, the staff is super friendly and you cant beat the price.
- Orlando (6/5): - Na
- William (10/5): Hot in the city - Hot. The room is fricken hot. The sun bakes the whole building.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Small hotel - The location was nice.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - No Air conditioner, No windows, really small rooms.
- Gilberto (4/5): Won't go there again - The place was so bad in overall. They woke me up in the middle of the night to move my car because the garbage truck was suppose to come and I parked in a good parking spot. people outside my door hanging there with the music so loud and talking and laughing all night. I couldn't sleep well. very disappointed.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Poor Service and Bright Light in Room / No Sleep - I made a reservation on Holtels.com for this hotel because it was conveniently located and the price seemed reasonable for the location. I took a risk staying at this hotel because the hotel had no reviews. After checking in and going to my assigned room, I realized there was a loud band playing next door, and I wanted to rest for a couple of hours. I asked if my room could be moved. I was moved to another room, but the music was just as loud. I merely opened and closed the doors of both rooms and I could hear the band loudly and clearly (thin walls). I went down to the front desk, and the woman said there were no refunds as I wanted to stay elsewhere. I tried my best to fall asleep that night, and the room was incredibly bright. It was as though the sun was shining in the window. The windows have no curtains, and there is a light just outside of the room that is really bright (from the hotel, and not an from a source from off of the property. I asked once again at the front desk if there was anything I could do, and they said there was nothing they could do. Why they have no curtains on their windows is beyond me considering how bright the room was at night. I put a blanket over my head to block the bright light, but I was cold because I had no blanket. I got zero sleep. There are so many inexpensive hotels in Tijuana for the same price or even cheaper than Hotel Santa Fe. I would recommend not wasting your time with this hotel, even if the price seems reasonable.
