- David (9/5): Would definitely return, great B&B ran by the lovely owner Sharon who makes an outstanding full English breakfast! - Clean , comfortable and welcoming
- Joanna (10/5): Brilliant. - Everything. It was a beautiful room and the breakfasts were superb. Sharon was so lovely; warm and friendly and everywhere was immaculate. And so clean. Thank you. Nothing.
- Ian (10/5): - The host was lovely and so were her breakfasts, the rooms were very clean. Would recommend for sure!
- john (8/5): - The only thing was having to book a time for breakfast
- Annemarie (9/5): Zalige, huiselijke sfeer. Heerlijk ontbijt, met de grootste zorg bereid ! - De hartelijkheid van de gastvrouw ! Niets
- Christian (10/5): - Lovely host, great breakfast and very comfortable room.
- sk (9/5): -
- Ashley (10/5): - We enjoyed a four night stay in Burnside B&B and everything was perfect. Our room was clean and comfortable and we had a lovely view. The service from Sharon was also great and the breakfast was better than any we have had in a hotel or other B&B - the waffles are especially good.
- Susan (10/5): -
- Derek (9/5): - Breakfast and bed Shower was very poor
- Andrew (8/5): Great B&B would recommend - The room was clean and very nice with a lovely view of the mountainside. Sharron the host was lovely. The breakfast was excellent. The location is lovely and quiet. An ideal spot from which you can explore the local area. The shower was a bit small for me, although I am not and the tv was a bit dated.
- Sarah (9/5): - Lovely, cosy bed and spacious bedroom. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. The owner was friendly and helpful. Location was good, just a short walk into Keswick. Would happily stay again.
- Sarah (10/5): -
- Deborah (10/5): Overall. I would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone. It was comfortable, clean, relaxing and run by lovely peo - Everything! It was clean, comfortable and well-organised. Sharon ( the host) was so lovely and helpful. She recommended lots of great walks, places to see and eat at. She also advised on short cuts into the town of Keswick from Burnside so you could walk in rurally. The room was comfortable with little extra touches like extra radiators to dry wet clothes and a little mint each day to Dave with our coffee. The breakfast was great too with good choices and we would probably return purely for her home-made marmalade! ( other home made jams also available). There is nothing that I didn’t like about this property.
- Geoff (8/5): A lovely B&B supported by a very helpful, friendly host. - Our host Sharon, was very friendly, helpful, organised and attentive. Our room on the front of the property was immaculately clean, warm and comfortable but suffered slightly from road traffic noise.
- Frances (9/5): Final leg of our 11-day tour of Roman History in England. This was our final stay and while it was raining, we were asto - Quaint - just as we were hoping for our stay in the Lakes Region. Welcoming check in, 3rd floor unit but that was fine! Plenty of room with an oh so comfortable bed! And the breakfast….fabulous! Parking would have been nice, but there was ample street parking right across from the B&B
- Caelan (10/5): - Absolutely lovely breakfast and super attentive hosts! I came into Keswick via train and bus and it’s very walkable to and from the B&B. No faults at all!
- Karen (10/5): - Our stay was fabulous! You chose your main options for breakfast the day before to limit waste, which I loved! I had the full english breakfast which was amazing! Great quality food. My son in law had the vegan breakfast with home made vegan sausages which he said was first class. And my daughter porridge made with almond milk to make it creamy! We even had a choice of home made jams and marmalade with our toast! We were very well looked after.
No parking at the property, but on road parking a very short walk away.
Highly recommended! Stay here and you will be very well looked after 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
- Michael (9/5): Comfortable Weekend Stay in Keswick - Great B&B on the edge of Keswick very well looked after and clean. The room was large and very comfortable. I would stay again. Milk and orange containers need replacing with something more in keeping with the rest of the decor
- Hamish (9/5): Very friendly and comfortable B&B with great breakfast - Breakfast was very good
- Sylvia (10/5): - Excellent good value B&B. situated a 10-15min within an easy walk into Keswick. Tastefully decorated big bedroom in the traditional victorian style with orginal features.
Exceptionally clean and comforable with all facilities required. Breakfast room
very pleasant with good variety choice of food well cooked and presented. Sharon the owner is a lovely lovely lady very helpful with local advise and places to go. Would definitely recommend to stay.
- Sophie (10/5): Couldn’t do anymore for you, such a great b&b - A lovely homely feel Nothing
- Aiden (10/5): - We had a relaxing stay at Burnside and would recommend here for a place to stay in Keswick. Great access to the lakes, and Sharon is a fantastic person, and had plenty of local information to share - we could have spoken to her all day. Hopefully we will stay here again in the future!
- Mark (10/5): - Very centrally located. Rooms were comfortable and clean and the breakfast was excellent.
- Ariane (10/5): - The room was so comfortable, with a nice view to the hills. We really enjoyed it!
It was such a pleasure to meet Sharon. Breakfast was delicious - especially the vegan sausage! :)
- Audra (10/5): - Lovely B&B in a great location, short walk into Keswick town centre, lots of nearby walks and fabulous walk round Derwent Water. ..
- Emily (10/5): - Highly recommended! Sharon is a lovely lady with a warm and friendly personality. The B&B is decorated to a high standard with lots of William Morris touches in keeping with the style and age of the property. Sharon clearly has very high standards of cleanliness as there wasn't a speck of dust or dirt anywhere, and bedding and towels smelled and felt clean. Breakfast was gorgeous with homemade jams and a wide selection including pancakes and waffles if you're not a full English person. Sharon has obviously thought about every aspect of the customer experience from the moment they come in the door. Could not recommend this place enough; it is a hidden gem!
- Darren (10/5): - Good breakfast, very friendly host Everything was good
- Gunnar (10/5): -
- Elizabeth (8/5): Lovely place, feel like family... helpful host.. excellent breakfast. short wonderful walk to town. - the room was lovely with a view of the hillside... Breakfast that Sharon made was wonderful. I have lived in France for 13 yrs and am used to good coffee..wasnt that fond of the coffee for breakfast. the flavour was not so nice. Sharon makes a lovely breakfast... ! I will ask for help next visit on getting the TV to work with the remote. Also, 99% of places I have stayed have 11 am a earliest checkoutl I find 10 am not a good option. I am well traveled withing the UK and EU. I would say that 85% have a 12 noon check out.. The other 15% 11am. I run an air b & b in France. 12noon is our check out time. If we are not busy, we welcome the guests even to stay a bit longer to accomodate them.
10 AM is not common in my travels.
- Jane (10/5): Lovely B&B great host and wonderful breakfast - Lovely b&b we chose a larger room with sofa everything was as it should be comfortable bed plenty of room. Sharon was a lovely host serving up the most delicious breakfast 12/10 😊. Sharon advised us on walking routes one being straight out of her front door to the stone circle and wella crag and beyond . Thankyou 😊 Nothing
- Sandra (10/5): Worth revisiting - Really friendly wonderful home made breakfast including home made jam, choice of flavors.
- Deryck (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tony (9/5): Great stay and host - The owner, Sharon was a lovely bubbly host who was knowelagble about the area, and nothing was too much for her, and loved chatting to her guests
The room was beautiful, clean and well decorated,(as was the dining room) and the bed was so comfortable giving a great night's sleep
A lovely breakfast especially the mushrooms, which were cooked to perfection The only negative, was a small shower as in not a lot of room to get in and out of.
- Philip (9/5): Superb -
- Nathan (10/5): Great B&B , Amazing breakfast 😋 - Fantastic B&B , The owner Sharon is lovely! She will make your stay very nice. The breakfast is outstanding 👌🏽 Only 15 minutes walk to town. Staff , Breakfast and room
- Jeanette (9/5): Very friendly, helpful with suggestions on what to do. We enjoyed our two nights stay - Breakfast, choice and food great No parking on site, there is parking available across busy road on first come first serve basis. Sometimes a distance to walk with suitcase.
- Margaret (10/5): - Really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was first class. Room comfortable and reception was friendly. We will definitely revisit.
- Nicola (8/5): Very good - Fantastic breakfast!
- Peter (10/5): An excellent stay with very attentive owners! -
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly hosts very clean and tidy and the food was great
- Ross (8/5): A pleasant stay in the lakes with accommodating hosts and excellent food. - Location was good; a short walk into Keswick and nice views of the hills. Accommodation was clean and tidy. The drying rack was a thoughtful addition for wet hiking clothes. Breakfast was excellent! While clean and functional, the bathroom could be described as compact. OK for us, but I can imagine larger people having some issues.
- Angela (10/5): A wonderful stay - The property was immaculate and the breakfast was delicious. Sharon was really helpful in recommending local places to eat and happy to help with directions. We had a wonderful stay and would love to stay again.
- Matthew (10/5): Great B&B - We really enjoyed our stay! Sharon was really informative and welcoming. The breakfast was to a good standard and the room was beautiful.
I would not hesitate to stay there again.
- Danielle (7/5): It was ok, good location but small bedroom/bathroom - The host, Sharon, and her lovely breakfasts. Very welcoming! Unfortunately, we drew the short straw with our room which was very small for 2 people.for a 4 night stay. Bathroom also very small.
- Susan (7/5): Lovely B&B and host, and bed was very comfortable. - Lovely host, the food was amazing, the room was clean, the only downside was room smaller than we expected the bed took up most of the room and we kept walking into end of be and no wardrobe, they did provide hangers, also I ticked for parking, but didn't realize it was not onsight parking but Sharon was lovely and we felt very welcome and looked after. Room smaller than we expected, and parking was up a hill on the roadside
- Stephen (10/5): - We were met on arrival and every morning with morning with a cheerful welcome.
The high quality breakfast was cooked to order with a good selection being offered. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable which laid the base for a wonderful stay in Keswick.
I would definitely use this B&B again.
- Vic (10/5): A lovely place to stay. - A lovely BnB. We were warmly greeted by Sharon who was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble, even went out of her way to phone us whilst we were en route to warn us of a road closure. Perfectly situated to get to Keswick town, about a pleasant 20 minute walk. Rooms were warm and exceptionally clean and tidy, we felt very at home. Lots of nice walks on the doorstep which Sharon helped us plan with great advice.
Breakfast was really tasty, freshly cooked and plentiful. We would not hesitate to stay here again, highly recommended. Could not fault anything.
- Martyn (6/5): Disappointing for the money . - Very clean , comfy bed & excellent choice of breakfast . Free parking on side road .
Very helpful host . Rather dark inside . On edge of town - too far to walk-in for restaurants in evening . On main road . A very small en-suite- really minute. Very poor shower .
- Barbara (8/5): We would stay again and recommend this B&B - Very friendly and helpful host, Sharon. Best scrambled egg anywhere. Excellent location.
- Gwen (9/5): Perfect place to stay while visiting Keswick. Will be our first choice every time in future! - Very attractive property, clean and newly decorated and in a good location about 40 mins pleasant walk into the centre of Keswick. We had the superior double room which is beautiful, light and spacious. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice.
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - Firstly, such a warm welcome from Sharon the owner. We stayed in room2 which had a lovely bay window, sofa and was beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean. The little touches like toiletries, heated towel rail , tea & coffee making accessories.
The cooked breakfast was first class & Sharon's homemade jams were delicious. My favourite was the porridge, Sharon made it just the way I like it.
The location was about 1 mile walk into the town of Keswick. Just nice to walk off your breakfast or walking back after your evening meal.
Last but not least & most important, The Bed!!! Sooooooooo Comfortable with lovely cotton crisp white bedding. Snoozzzzzzzzz.....
Thanks Sharon for such a wonderful stay.
Karen & Paul.😘🌷 Having to leave.xx
- Mehmet (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (10/5): Wonderful B&B, excellent breakfast and friendly hostess - Order made breakfast from a selection, very filling and delicious. Everything from the porridge to the special waffles was excellent. Sharon was an outstanding host who would not leave us wanting for anything.
Sharon also provided all kinds of suggestions about seeing the local sights, and dining options. Not a real complaint, we picked the small room, and it was small. Being from the States we naturally assume large "small rooms" but we knew better from a London stay years prior that small can be really small, as in bedsize. This room was bigger than that.
- Beverley (10/5): Fantastic find - Lovely guest house within a short walk of Keswick . Decorated and presented to a high standard . Fantastic hospitality from Sharon with a great breakfast . Definitely one to visit again . Thank you
- Alicia (10/5): Wonderful comfortable rooms, excellent breakfasts and welcoming host - My husband, mother in law, friend and I booked three rooms at Burnside. All the rooms were immaculate, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Our bed was like sleeping on a cloud! The rooms did face the road but we didn't find it noisy at night.
Sharon the owner was fantastic- very friendly and gave such a warm welcome. The breakfasts were superb and plentiful with wonderful little touches like homemade jams Can't really fault anything about the property or host. Only minor suggestion would be to have a water carafe/glasses in the room
- Vanessa (10/5): A weekend break to remember - Very well furnished and had a lovely feel to the bed and breakfast. Sharon was very conscientious and made you feel welcome. The best breakfast with home made products which were delicious. The bedroom was on the small side but we had a late booking. However it had everything needed to have a comfortable stay. Kept having to log onto the wifi which was BT.
- Ellen (10/5): - Lovely BnB, with such a friendly host. Great location for visiting Keswick & the breakfast was delicious!! Would highly recommend!
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional - Sharon was lovely ,and the room lovely ,very clean and the breakfast in the morning was outstanding ,when I'm in the lake next I will be going back. Thanks Sharon.

- Sisley (10/5): Excellent - would recommend. - Very clean, friendly and welcoming. Nothing

- Curtis (10/5): An amazing stay in a lovely b&b! - The property is in a great location and is really lovely inside. Our room was very clean and comfortable! Nothing!
- Mr Gordon (10/5): - The owner was thoroughly pleasant, very friendly, helpful
- Mr. (10/5): Incredible Stay at Burnside B&B - We enjoyed the exceptional hospitality from Sharon, the high-quality breakfasts and breakfast options, comfortable & spacious room, and location of the B&B to both the town and hiking trails. We highly recommend Burnside B&B to anyone visiting the area.
- Maureen (10/5): Perfect , we would stay here again - Superb breakfast, Sharon was very attentive to each individual, very helpful and friendly, the room was immaculate and cosy . I cant fault this B&B
- Sue (9/5): Feels like a home. - Beautiful English charm. Our girls took the bigger room and we took the smaller one with a great sunset view. I could sit by the window all evening to watch the sunset and catch up with work till 10pm since it is summer time. Glad we stayed slightly away from the town as it gives us the opportunity to do more walks to town and to the lake.
Sharon is really helpful and recommend places we could visit around Keswick. We came with little preparation and that helps a lot. Peter had so much to share with my husband about football as they were both Man U fans.
Oh and I must definitely talk about the amazing breakfast. So sumptuous and lots of variety to choose from. None.
- Yvonne (10/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Burnside. Our hosts were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. Nothing - Very clean and comfortable. Lovely and warm. Excellent breakfast The Wi-Fi was a bit hit and miss
- Edward (10/5): Great little find - We stayed for 2 nights. The room was very nice, clean and well decorated. A bit of traffic noise as we faced the road but I had ear buds which solved this issue. The breakfast was substantial and very, very good. The hostess was friendly and helpful and made us very welcome. We will return.
- Angela (9/5): Excellent guest house with an excellent host in Sharon. - The location was excellent, a 10 minute walk to the town. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection of cereal and cooked food. Sharon makes the best waffles and pancakes. Road was quite busy so could be noisy with the window open. Soon got used to it though.
- Jacinta (10/5): Lovely place to stay in the Lakes!! - Breakfast was amazing!!
- Williams (10/5): It was lovely - It was a friendly atmosphere and the service was excellent 👌
- Charlie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eric (10/5): - Sharon was super helpful in pointing out places to eat and things to see in the area, She also made us wonderful breakfasts with homemade yogurt. The room was very nice and had interesting decor.

- Joanne (10/5): The very best stay I have experienced at any B&B - Sharon, thank you so much - The entire place was spotless with an exceptional breakfast. The best B&B I have ever stayed in. Would recommend without hesitation. N/A
- Miranda (10/5): Amazing host, amazing breakfast, amazing location - Location was great - lovely short walk into Keswick centre along a cycle path so nice and flat. Sharon was lovely and knowledgable of the area. She also catered to my gluten allergy for the full English breakfast I had (even made me gluten free hasbrowns!) and was a completely great host. Room was snug and had a great mountain view. No private parking. However, there was a street opposite the property where parking was free.
- John (10/5): Excellent - Host, clean and location
- Ken (10/5): Good location, friendly hosts. Made us feel welcome from the start. - Breakfast was great every day, the room was large and warm and very clean.
Sharon was always on hand to answer all our questions. Also very knowledgeable about the area, offering advise on were to go. Would recommend Burnside for a relaxing stay. Shower a bit on the small side.
Everything else just fine.
- Kenneth (10/5): Recommended! - Sharon is a wonderfully accommodating host, very friendly and professional, and eager to share useful local knowledge. The room was spacious, warm, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast options are variable and delicious. There is on street parking opposite for people with cars, we had no problem parking and the car was visible from our room. We would definitely stay at the Burnside again and can highly recommend it.
- Jade (10/5): Exceptional - The breakfast was exceptional! Perfect cosy room, with all the facilities you need! Perfect for a weekend stay.
- Jackson (8/5): Enjoyable - Very pleasant reception by our hostess ,making us feel welcome and at home. The room was not very big but comfortable and adequate.
Breakfast was a choice of several dishes and the choices we made were of a high standard. The full English breakfast was well cooked and generous in size.
The whole experience , from the accommodation point of view,
was very pleasing. The shower was quite small
- Andy (10/5): Great stay. - Lovely building in a great location. Clearly taken a lot of time to furnish and decorate. Great room looking out to the fells. Really comfortable. Fantastic breakfast that really set us up for our days out whilst walking.
- Katy (10/5): Lovely B&B in good location with a great breakfast! - This is a lovely B&B in a good location. It is a 15 min walk into Keswick where there are plenty of restaurants and bars. It is also a 15 min walk to Castlerigg stone circle, from where you can find excellent walks.
Sharon is a welcoming host and cooks an excellent breakfast, with lots of choice on offer. She is also very knowledgeable about the area and can recommend walks/ things to do etc.
Our room was spotless and comfortable and we had a great stay. Parking is easy - there is a road opposite the B&B where you can park for free.
- Stacey (10/5): Excellent. - I loved everything, it was cosey, spotless clean, no noise, beds are like sleeping on a cloud. Sharron the owner was so lovely, I’ve never stayed anywhere with a host that made us feel as welcome and her breakfasts are 5 star! It was like home from home and we will 100% book again. Honestly can’t fault it. Home from Home.
- Dave (10/5): A pleasant stay with warm, pleasant and helpful hosts. - Sharon was so friendly and helpful. We would have no hesitation in booking with Burnside when we come to Keswick again.
- Paul (10/5): - A most splendid property & not too far for a little stroll into Keswick, you can also walk around Derwant water if your feeling fit, property itself was lovely with a warm freindly host to welcome you when you arrive, breakfast was amazing which set you up for the day. We shall be definitely visiting again.
