Guest Reviews
- Dhanushka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kay (1/5): Location CLOSED and in Disrepair - location CLOSED , do NOT pay in advance. Location was CLOSED when we arrived and was in disrepair. This was a huge inconvenience as we had to find another place to stay.
I looked from window and it was deserted.
Should be taken off the Website.

- Anushka (10/5): Great Experience - My fiancée and I stayed in the Penthouse Deluxe Double Room with mountain and city view, and it was an amazing experience. The room was exactly as pictured on the website—clean, and in perfect condition. The views were absolutely breathtaking, with no words to describe how beautiful they were, especially at sunrise and sunset. The environment was incredibly peaceful, and we enjoyed the perfect weather throughout our stay, which made it even more relaxing. There was enough parking space and the staff were extremely kind, attentive, and always willing to assist with any requests, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Overall, we had a fantastic experience, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful stay with excellent service and stunning views.
- Chathuranga (5/5): Passable - I recently stayed at this property, and the highlight of my experience was definitely the stunning view. You can see most of Kandy city from there, which is truly breathtaking. The caretaker also did their best to make our stay comfortable, and I appreciated the effort. However, I was disappointed with the overall condition of the property. While our room was clean, the rest of the place seemed poorly maintained. It looked like the floors hadn't been swept, and it felt like the hotel hasn't seen any renovations since it was built. Additionally, there were no kettle or tea/coffee-making facilities in the room, which was an inconvenience.
- Mahi (10/5): nil - nil nil
- Roamingthari (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruwan (9/5): Superb - Calming and cozy environment. Good caretaker Have to step up 4 floors by foot.
- Bimal (3/5): Poor - View from balcony/ terros. Only one no good staff who doesnt know how to deal with guests, not cleaned, smelly bedrooms, ni bathroom mirrors. Etc..

- Roamingthari (10/5): Best place in Kandy with the best view and reasonable price - Everything including the view ❤️
- Menusha (8/5): Worth it for the fantastic view! - Rooms were quite good, clean sheets and pillows, and functioning AC.
Bathroom was good, very clean, great water pressure, working hot water.
Quite distant from town along winding roads, so don't stay here if you're looking for a place that you can walk to town from; no problem if you're in a car/taxi or tuk.
There is a dining area to eat so you can bring your own food from outside (no cooking), or order in and have it there. No facilities apart from the room were provided. The door didn't lock properly. No tea or coffee, and no kettle either. Only two small bottles of water, soap, and towels were provided. Not a lot of options to order food from the hotel itself. We were told only rice and noodles available when asked.
- Kristína (10/5): Exceptional - Was good for the price, owner super nice, monkeys live nearby, nice experience
- Neža (2/5): Dangerous. - We like the view. The view of the city of Kandy was great. However, we rate the location as very poor because it's dangerous. Our older son fell on the platform leading to the observation deck. The boards were not screwed in properly, so one shifted, causing him to fall in between and injure his nose. Be careful!
- Simone (6/5): Need a lot of work on it - The building itself have a lot of potential, or it had at least, it's a very stylish place. Big windows and nice views, although the room was kept clean and tidy. Unluckily the place was not maintained properly, it looked like it had a major flooding and walls were humid and wallpapers were detaching, it really needs some work on it.
- Jayalath (9/5): Superb -
- Dangampola (4/5): Poor value for money and cannot recommend. - Mountain view from the room is good. Care taker is good. Breakfast is acceptable, but too expensive. No backup power supply. Power interrupted around 8.30 am. Thereafter, no power supply until 11.45 am , hence no water even for our essential activities.
Cleanliness is far below the expected level. Linen is not good. Difficult to find the location. Google map is not working in this area. Neither street lights nor direction boards to this premises.
- Fazal (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent service and great room service with all the facilities. Worth for money.
- Aslam (8/5): Very good -
- Chathura (10/5): Beautiful view ,calm and super clean rooms - Attractive clean room with view Everything was ok

- Verified traveler (2/5): - This is the worst place I've stayed at during my 2wk trip
This place is quite hard to find and to drive to, once we arrived at the front entrance, we have to call and wait for another 15min for someone to open the door for us. This place is a house, not a hotel. After I filled in the check-in form, the form was left around in the public area near the kitchen along with others, where I can see private information of all other guests staying at the same place
When I was taken upstairs to my room, the person showing me the room was spraying insect repellent all over the floor and my bed - right after he left I saw a big bug struggling/dying in a pool of newly sprayed insect repellent in the middle of the bathroom (and the bathroom smelt like someone just used it). There's no shampoo/body wash in the bathroom, and only 1 dryer for the whole place. I was promised a dryer at 7pm, after checking several times, at 10PM- I was told that there was only ONE and someone already took it!
Breakfast was included but doesn't include fresh fruits like all other places i stayed at. Whenever someone's cooking there's very strong food/oil smell in my room which was very unpleasant. The rooms were not sound proof at all and I could hear everything going on in the other rooms including ones downstairs. The 2 guys watched me struggle with my luggage going up the stairs without offering to help, and when I asked to speak to manager I was told that he's too busy working. very unpleasant experience!
- Zoe (2/5): AVOID! - Booked this place for 3 nights, the photos looked incredible, description sounded ideal for us and the price was a steal! However, this was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever experienced. Alarm bells started ringing as soon as we were driving up dirt tracks and getting lost at almost every turn. When we arrived, the place looked deserted. Then a very nice, young member of staff appeared and let us in. As soon as we entered, we could tell the room was damp. The room was also oddly empty appearing with very sloppy finish. We should’ve left at this point, but we’d had a very long day hiking and just wanted to sleep. We decided that we’d stay one night and leave the next day. The staff member was understanding and very nice about the situation, he phoned the manager and it was decided that we would pay for the first night and the Hotels.com commission for the next 2 nights. We thought this was very reasonable and went to sleep in our damp room. The air was muggy and the sheets were almost wet. In the morning, when we were checking out, the single staff member was on the phone to the hotel’s owner who was demanding that we paid the full amount for the 3 nights. We were not happy about this and conversations went back and forth for up to an hour before we decided to just pay it and leave. We did not want this experience to ruin our holiday anymore than it had already done.
Do not stay here, it is not worth a fraction of the cost they demand, or the risk to your health!
- Steve (10/5): - Hotel was located in a very beautiful location. On the way, it was very interesting to see the view. it took 8 minutes from station to reach to the hotel. very nice staff and very helpful. we were given a big room with a balcony. Toilets clean and modern. AC look new unit. night view from the room balcony was unbelievable. love to recormend for anyone who wants to stay in kandy.
