Good quality toiletries and towels too. Breakfast was pre-ordered the night before and was ready as soon as we sat down in the breakfast room The overnight oats were very tasty and the cooked breakfast just right Nothing Very warm welcome when we arrived and helpful information about where to eat later that evening

• Liz (10/5): A perfect hotel break in the most spectacular location with the kindest hosts ever. - Poppies Hotel was situated on the end of Callander going north. It was a perfect location away from the town centre. It is a beautiful hotel with lots of beautiful art, special touches, and lovely toiletries. The rooms are fabulous 👌 The beds are amazingly comfortable, pillows and duvets too. The towels are luxurious, and the bathroom was huge with a lovely big bath and shower overhead with a huge power shower. All very bright and comfortable. The dining room is fantastic 👌 A huge dining room with beautiful furniture all well spaced out and pretty views over the gardens and Trossacks beyond. Lovely artwork, too. The breakfasts were amazing. So much fresh fruit, a choice of porrage, fresh compote, cereals, eggs, cooked breakfasts, vegetarian and vegan options 😋 Fresh fruit juices and delicious coffee ☕️ and various teas, fruit and herbal choices. All served daily by the hosts and staff who were always friendly, courteous, and chatting. There was also a private bar for guests open from 3 - 7 pm daily. The bar had a huge range of local beers, wines, and spirits, plus a huge range of single malt whiskies. A lovely experience. The hosts and staff couldn't do enough for their guests. A truly wonderful experience and beautiful hotel. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely nothing apart from that we didn't stay long enough.

Really loved the front lawn and the parking area. The public rooms in the hotel are delightful. The only thing I didn't like was that I was only staying one night. We wished we would have booked more nights and done spoke trips.

• Jigna (9/5): Great spot to enjoy the Trossachs! - Excellent hosts! Great bar and garden. Great location and close to public transport. I will definitely come back. Loved the toiletries. My room was close to the road so in the morning the road traffic woke me up but the room was awesome and clean!

The breakfasts were amazing, really good quality ingredients, and the poached eggs were perfect. The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely recommend this property and would go back. Just one very small thing the tea tray in your room only had one pack of biscuits, would have preferred a pack each. Albeit there were 2 biscuits in each pack one each I still think there should be a pack each!

The hotel was immaculate, warm & welcoming. Although we did not have an opportunity to use the beautiful appointed & excellent stocked bar, I thought the 9pm closing was slightly early.

Breakfast delicious and varied, with Scottish and vegetarian / vegan options. Bed very comfortable and our room was spacious with a seating area and dressing gowns which made for a cozy evening. Water and biscuits provided. Powerful shower. Just everything you would want and more for a comfortable weekend. Can't fault anything, we hope to come back one day.

We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, plenty of choice. Hot food selection had to be ordered the evening before. However, there was also a great selection of breads, cereals, yogurt fruit, etc. Plenty of parking and the owner kindly let us park after we checked out as we wanted to have a look around Callander. • Penelope (10/5): A beautiful property in a perfect setting with excellent hosts - I can’t recommend Poppies Hotel highly enough! - The room was beautifully appointed, with little extras like the butterscotch cookies, and a chocolate on the pillow. John and Susan were excellent hosts and couldn’t have been kinder or more accommodating - they sorted me out a taxi to get to Dunblane station and were very forgiving when I slept in the first day and missed my breakfast slot! There was nothing to dislike!
