- Camille (5/5): It was ok but not great - Beautiful park, quiet, calm, beautiful swimming pool, beautiful rooms and areas. It’s an old hotel, empty, and looks like a gosht hotel. Staff doesn’t speak English. Far away from the city center which it’s good because it gives us quietness after the city center. It really needs refresh.
- MikeHebert (6/5): Great till i wasn't - This resort was great till it wasn't. Honestly its one of the nicer properties of Pullman I have stayed at. The gardens and views are beautiful and location is just outside of the downtown which I appreciated. The bed was comftorbale and Nato (or Toto) from reception was fabulous. He was helpful, kind, and handled many of our requests and reservations for tours and drivers. At first everything seemed great. The 2nd night, we had water issues where it seemed like all the water pumps were turned off. The water coming out of the faucet was dark brown and boiling hot (no cold water). The toilet wouldn't flush either. The next morning it seemed ok. This happened the 3rd day in the morning too. Also we had inconsistency from the buggy service, sometimes waiting only 5 mins, other times over 30 mins, and the day of checkout we stopped waiting and walked ourselves from the end of the property where our rooms were to the lobby.

Front of the house staff really hustled. TV had an issue but the brought in a box that took care of my problem right away.

- Cristian (10/5): Unforgetable stay in Luang Prabang - Our stay was a sensational unforgetable experience.It’s a peaceful and quiet stay. It’s not located in the heart of the city, but that’s actually what makes it so special. It’s the perfect place to truly rest and disconnect, surrounded by nature. The hotel grounds are stunning. They have a little club cart that takes you around the property if you don’t feel like walking, which is such a thoughtful and convenient touch. The facilities are gorgeous, the pools are incredible, and the landscape design is breathtaking with rice fields and ponds. We were surprised with the hotel little farm which rabbits, cows, and buffalos. Even though the hotel is surrounded by nature, our room — including the terrace — was well maintained, clean, with no bugs at all. That’s something very important for us (I’m not a fan of spiders!), and we’ve seen that can sometimes be an issue in other hotels in Luang Prabang, but definitely not here. We also want to make a very special mention to David who assisted us from the beginning. When we first arrived, there was something we weren’t completely happy with, but he immediately stepped in, handled it perfectly, and was incredibly attentive to all our needs. He truly made our stay unforgettable. His level of customer service gave us so much peace of mind. The truth is, small issues can happen anywhere — but what really matters is how a hotel responds. Here they care and want you to have the best possible experience, and they will do what it takes to make your stay amazing. Chan and his team were also excellent. You truly feel taken care of here. The customer service is outstanding — they are attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in making sure you have the best time. The breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious, with so many great options. And we also highly recommend the massages. My wife and I had a massage at the hotel spa, and it was spectacular — honestly one of the best massages we’ve ever had in Laos.
- Annie (7/5): Beautiful peaceful hotel - needs a bit more love - Very pretty location - swimming pool surrounded by rice paddies No one at the bar or restaurants in the evening - so don’t expect atmosphere. Everyone goes into the local town for dinner - 6km away, but hotel provides a mini bus every hour. Pools need a serious clean - we did let the staff know.
- John (10/5): An oasis within an oasis - Pullman is an oasis within an oasis. Luang Prabang is very laid back with a beautiful coffee culture woven into the traditions of the monks that live there. The Pullman is a short ride away (they provide a shuttle to and from the post office every hour during the day) and really is stunning. Lush greenery, epic vistas and three lovely pools to relax next to. There is a well equipped gym. The staff were absolutely superb and our small problem at check in was resolved quickly and efficiently by Avril. Toto checked us in and was so helpful. Both Avril and Toto gave us WhatsApp numbers to contact when needed which was great. The breakfast was varied and the stand out was the variety of coffees available. Tong made the best piccolinos and always served with a huge smile. We stayed in a suite which was huge, clean, cool and had a very nice Illy espresso machine. There is also a small organic farm on site which was lovely to wander through The only negative was that a few pieces of cardiovascular gym equipment were not working whilst we were there and we were told it could take a long time to fix them. The gym can also be very hot but the AC machines work very well and quickly.

- Yinglong (10/5): A relaxing stay with great service, especially thanks to Mr. Toto. - The hotel has a peaceful atmosphere with beautiful mountain views. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the environment felt very relaxing. Special thanks to Mr. Toto, who helped me a lot during my stay. He was very friendly, professional, and genuinely kind. His service made my stay even more comfortable. Some parts of the hotel feel slightly old and could use small improvements. The breakfast was fine but could offer more variety.

We ordered the Laos brekfast baguette and the teriyaki steak baguette from the Ateiler restaurant for lunch and it was 10/10 chefs kiss. Free shuttle to the town was so handy. Only small downside was room service as it was slightly cold and felt like the pad Thai had been sat around for a while

For the majority of our stay, we didn’t see other guests so we had the luxury of having the pools to ourselves. We quite liked the distance from the main town as it meant the hotel was very quiet. There was a free shuttle provided too. They helped us organise our train tickets and tours (waterfall, Mekong sunset cruise. Food was good and varied!

The pool areas and amazing and to overlook the rice fields is a real wonderful experience. The room was awesome, so big, a huge bathroom, all the amenities. Restaurant maybe needs a bit more attention. Staff doesn't seem to be well trained on English speaking customers, but overall was pleasant. There were few guests so breakfast was a la carte and was yummy. The half board menu for dinner is pretty limited, so you'll end up choosing from the a la carte which is quite pricey.

The hotel contains a gym, kids club, restaurant with delicious food in Laos and international culture, spots for sightseeing, relaxing, and selfies,… The staff here made sure customers are top priority. They are friendly and welcoming to make you feel comfortable. They’ll give you tips and info about places too visit and hotel service. - Doron (8/5): Very good - Wonderful grounds, well-kept and beautiful scenery. The rooms were large, with stunning views across Rice fields and beyond. Large bathroom, bath, shower all super clean. Good bed, silent aircon and the staff super well trained and friendly. Rhee at breakfast, and Mina at reception deserve special mention. Pools were emoty, off-season , and clean, well maintained, and with delightful views Slightly out of town but free shuttles. Highly recommended Slightly disappointed tbh with the food at dinner, much as we ate half board every night and they were flexible on choices...food was abit bland with exceptions of soup and funnily enough, western dishes. We had to ask for mango, even if it's widely available...can improve here, but still we loved it. A bit of flexibility on shuttle times would be a small improvement

Although not being located in the center of the city, the property was still an amazing choice. The free shuttle bus to and from the center, which runs every hour, is great. Back at the resort my stay was elevated by the great staff that made me feel welcome. Staff members Mina and Khamchan especially made me feel right at home and went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable as possible.

The food served at the restaurant wasn’t so great though. That being said it is a beautiful property, with a lot of potential. The rooms are sometimes setup in a way that if you are unfortunate enough to have inconsiderate noisy guests next to you, you won’t be able to get any sleep. The staff should do better to prevent this. Perhaps post signs to respect the quietness.

The pools were refreshing and kids room and gym were well equipped. The Spa staff was highly professional and experienced, the Lao massage was outstanding and reasonably priced. The restaurant breakfast was very good. We had the buffet one day and a la carte the other 2 days, and the food was very fresh and cooked to order. Service the 3rd day was excellent and attentive. The first couple days there was very few guests and we had to be more proactive with asking for service. The staff is outstanding! The level of service and attention are are excellent. Wendy at the front desk was very accommodating and helpful during check-in, out, as well as the entire stay! She is amazing! David at the front entrance went above and beyond consistently! We had an issue with our debit card getting kept by the ATM machine, and he called the bank and the next day he was able to have them retreive it and even took me to go get it. WOW, where do you get that service!!

- bornthatway_traveler (8/5): Such a Unique Resort Experience! - In reflection about a month since my two-night stay at the Pullman, I’ve realized just how the sheer uniqueness of this property causes (can’t just be me) to reminisce and yearn to come back. There were flaws and faults, but as a whole, I couldn’t have had a better time. - Location: The resort is just to the west of downtown Luang Prabang, a painless, 8-10 minute taxi drive if you’re not carpooling with others going other places. Since even the busiest parts of Luang Prabang are peaceful, it was obvious that this place would be, too, to the nth degree. Yet even still, the property is right off a national road and is extremely accessible to anywhere you might wish to explore. - Atmosphere: Where was everyone?! My stay in March seemed to yield literally nobody else anywhere in the hotel. I saw a few older couples and small groups at the on-site restaurant one lunchtime, but that was pretty much it. It felt like I had the entire place to myself. It was incredible. Because of how vast the property is with its low-rise, low-density villa format, I really felt it. - Amenities: Talk about unique…what other resort has its own rice terraces and water buffalo and produce garden and livestock?? Maybe a bit utilitarian in terms of aesthetics, but remember, we’re in rural Northern Laos. A lovely buggy driver took me on a tour of the property upon my eager request, and I was amazed at how much was there to see and admire. In the center of the figure-eight-like villa arrangement is the pool, pool bar, and gorgeous landscaped greenery (including rice terraces with local farmers hard at work). At the southern tip of the grounds lies the spa. Near the open-air lobby is the restaurant, which is open all day and serves delicious Lao and international food. And despite all these diverse amenities, still I saw absolutely no one except some hotel workers. Wow!!! - Service: I observed service here to be top-notch; everyone at reception and driving the buggies and working the restaurant were kind and hospitable. Now, this was definitely a language and cultural barrier issue, but some of the restaurant staff felt a little awkward or shy when serving me…their English was very basic, but they came off as a bit disengaged at times. It was also challenging to order my lunch on the first day of my stay, because the kitchen was clearly out of the dish I wanted, but the staff still gave me a dish I wouldn’t have enjoyed instead. It took some gentle back and forth and finger-pointing to finally make my revised request understood. I’m a picky eater which is why I cared in this particular case, but if I was adventurous like most people, I’d have most likely been just fine with the plate they delivered to me first. The service chapter of this review would NOT be complete without shouting out Mr. Phailath Homsin, who worked closely with me throughout my stay to book an area tour (Kuang Si Falls, Manifa Elephant Camp, and downtown LP) and ensure my resort experience was relaxing. He was able to negotiate a fantastic deal on a tour package that fit my needs as a reduced-mobility traveler. And he let me borrow a resort wheelchair for me to take on said tour. Phailath was an integral part of my stay at the Pullman and a huge reason for my happiness there! Kudos to you! - Room: At first I was assigned a second-floor room with stairs, which I told the front desk was not possible for me because of my disability (plus I usually use an electric wheelchair, but I decided to store it in Bangkok until I returned there at the end of my trip). So they put me in a ground-floor quarters that had a barrier-free entry, so for any wheelchair users out there, this hotel does have options (although the buggies that shuttle guests around are not equipped with lifts or ramps or any wheelchair space, of course). Inside my room, I marveled at how modern and spacious it was…a true oasis in northern Laos. The bed was comfy, the patio was a great touch, and every inch of the room was incredibly clean. Plus it was very quiet (but not utterly silent). Two glaring downsides: 1) I simply could not determine which room control buttons I pressed at any given time, because none of the buttons had lights or any curvature to indicate an on or off position. It was obviously easy to tell for master lights and the ceiling fan and things, but some of the controls for, for instance, “do not disturb” and “exhaust fan” and “nightlight” were highly ambiguous. On one occasion I didn’t realize a hotel worker was at my door who I requested to come to help with something, because he was adhering to my “do not disturb” status request on the outside wall of my room. And many of the various lights couldn’t turn off when I was getting ready for bed because I didn’t know which buttons to push for them. 2) The WiFi was iffy. The first night of my stay was semi-strong, but the second was spotty at best and non-functional at worst. The resort did seem to be aware of the issue as it was affecting other rooms as well, but it didn’t ever get resolved until I checked out the next morning. On the bright side, I forcibly got some digital detox time! - Value: There’s no question that the Pullman is affordable for the average traveler (who isn’t a stingy backpacker). The experience you get is just amazing for the low price you pay. Which is very telling, of course, as the wonderful people of Laos often struggle to support their families…but knowing that staying at a place like this gives jobs to a large number of people is really important. Sure there were downsides to the room, WiFi, and restaurant service, but the overall nature of this elegant place will prompt my return many more times in the future. The service of this hotel is all great in general, but the treasure of this place is the friendly staff. - Verified traveler (8/5): Gorgeous setting - The setting of this hotel is stunning - you can see the rice fields from the lobby and the pools. This was the highlight of our Laos trip. Check in staff (and all staff we encountered) were so friendly and we really appreciated an upgrade to a bigger room and a cake for my birthday! The only thing I'd really recommend the hotel improving (or guests staying away from) is the western food which was weird and not great. I wish they had more local and Asian food, for example at the pool bar, H20, only weird/western foods were available.

The outstanding service provided by David and the hotel staff is what made our holiday so memorable. David looked after us every day, including his days off! From arranging day tours to bringing lunch to us by the pool, all our needs were more than met. We we also given a room upgrade, which was a wonderful surprise. All room balconies face the lovely rice fields, so there's no fear of missing out, wherever you stay. The hourly shuttle to town centre was very convenient, so there was no need to worry about the hotel being located a bit further than expected. We were even dropped directly at our restaurant! The hotel rabbits, cats and buffalo were a delightful addition to the lovely environment. I'm certain that anyone who stays here will be impressed and leave with fond memories of swaying rice fields, warm local smiles and a feeling of wanting to come back.

Great place for a quiet retreat with easy hotel supplied shuttle bus into town hourly. Beautiful clean rooms and a large pool area. Guest services manager David went out of his way to assist my wife when she was not well, finding us an excellent local clinic and doctor and taking the time to personally escort us to and from the facility. Would definitely recommend and stay again

- Panathinaikos-13 (4/5): Nice hotel but ......... - It is a nice hotel with great staff & many facilities, however, a lot of things are wrong with this hotel. We were put in a room of which the door needed varnishing badly and the TV was not working. We were then kindly upgraded and we were placed in anotehr room, bigger and better BUT The toilet flush did work properly, the TV again was not working, we could just listen to CNN but the picture was full of snow and no even one channel had a decent picture, one of the reading lights did not work, the shower strip light did not work, the shower fan did not work. The cold water on the basin was making noises as it seems there was water in the pipes and water was coming explosively. On top of this there was no WiFi and NO MOBILE phone reception. Without mobile & without TV it was not a pleasant night. I must say that the manager apologised the following day for the WiFi but for 2 days we did not have it & there was no mobile signal in the room either. If the hotel is run properly it can provide a very pleasant stay.
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good - Very peaceful, perfect for having young children with swimming pools, terrace / balconies for the evening after they sleep, organic farm and animals and a bit out of town so feel like you’re in nature. Free shuttle was quite regular. Getting a bit dated, quite of a lot of things starting to not work and are quite worn, including the shower and bath taps which only had trickles of boiling water many times, meant we had to call technicians many times to be able to shower. Limited English of some staff made it a bit hard to communicate certain needs (although know we are in a different country so do have some sympathy). Service was always pretty slow.

The top and middle Mainland Chinese management from Front Office to F&B. No sense of direction or help given to the local Laotian staff who clearly needs help handling guests during peak season. Understaffed. Not a single executive members seen during peak breakfast period but can be seen dining and sitting down in a group having meal together while the Laotian team members were hustling doing service. No common sense and clearly taking advantage of local staff. At one point, a male Chinese manager at the Front Office was yelling at his team in front of me just because the staff could not find my booking in the system.
- Herman (7/5): Lovely resort that needs a better manager - We returned to this resort after five years, and overall, we were not disappointed. The location is amazing and whoever designed this resort, knew what they were doing. It's the best place to relax and unwind - one of the best for doing so I have ever found. The hotel restaurant is also great as well as reasonably priced. So, overall, we were very happy and will return. However, we noticed a very clear decline in customer care standards since the last time we visited. Arrival welcome was rather poor, staff often did not greet us when they met us, and the send-off was also sub-standard. Often the reception did not pick up the phone. This is not really acceptable for this price and level. I think the main problem here is at the managerial level: we never met the manager, and it was clear that in comparison to 5 years ago there has been a visible decline in standards. Back then (2019), there was a very active French manager who would go around the resort checking that everything was good. This time, we haven't even met the manager. So we would recommend a new manager to this place because all staff are nice but often did not know what to do and were a little lost. Accor group, put your acts together, because this is a lovely resort and deserves to be run properly.

The location of the hotel was quiet and peaceful which was exactly what I was looking for. ・The reason I chose this hotel was because I wanted to relax in the bath. However, there was no hot water. They responded immediately and I was able to enjoy it once, but the temperature of the water was not consistent. The shower in the morning was not hot either. It was disappointing because the reviews about the bath were good. ・I could hear my neighbors snoring in the middle of the night, luckily there was a speaker next to my bed so I listened to music while I slept.

Large beautiful rooms with comfortable beds, balconies, wonderful bathroom with huge bath tub. Three pools, multiple restaurants, beautiful spa, option classes/experiences on site. Staff was very attentive. The location is somewhat isolated, you can’t walk just to town, but there are frequent shuttles. You can also hire a taxi or scooter.

- Pao (8/5): Very good - A nice place to relax and get away from the busy city life. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Nice clean pool outside and the coconut drink was delicious. Some of the buildings need remodeling.

- Ruth (6/5): Pretty but worn. - Gardens are beautiful and it’s a nice to have a big space in a hotel. Staff were very friendly. Shuttle service was great. A lot of the areas look quite worn. The tiles in the pool needed a good scrub. There looked like there were people camping out/living in one part of the outdoor decking areas? TVs were terrible. Menu was very overpriced for where we were. Rooms are quite dark even with all the lights on. None of the furniture near the bar at the pool made sense, it was all clustered together and made it feel like a storage area.
- Jessica (9/5): Superb - Magnificent hotel with sumptuous decor, especially at sunrise and sunset. Offers a truly relaxing moment of calm. The whole team is welcoming, friendly and very attentive. We received all the help we needed to organize various excursions. The hotel is quiet but also a little out of the city center: a shuttle service is available, but you have to keep to the timetable. The service was very punctual and much appreciated. Great choice for the breakfast buffet, large fitness and nice pool. The hotel is a little outdated, and certain elements, notably the decoration and isolation of the windows, could be refurbished. However, everything works perfectly well and offers great comfort. I found the lighting system very complicated :-)
- Apurv (10/5): Balmy and serene laidback and beautiful. - Serene and relaxed. good staff. In fact excellent staff keep it up. The pool area did not have drinking water/ drinks etc.
