• Eryn (9/5): Lovely Stay in a Wonderful Location - B&B Lepanto is in the most wonderful location you could find in Messina! The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. The B&B is located in a beautiful building that is a 2 minute walk to the Astronomical Clock of the Cathedral of Messina and surrounded by multiple restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and the most wonderful pastry shop we've been to in Italy! The door to the shared space of the B&B (check-in and hallway) rattles when others open their doors (okay once you know what's going on) and those doors aren't very well sound-proofed - but the windows and walls are wonderfully soundproofed (and the windows are gorgeous).

• Thomas (10/5): Location, location, location! - Location was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful in recommending restaurants and in actually booking a taxi for us as we had an early departure. There were several restaurants nearby with a varied choice of cuisines. We used a taxi to get here to and from the train station and don't have a good sense for how far. (we are older with some walking difficulties) We would highly recommend this place and will definitely go back the next time we visit Messina. Hopefully soon :) Be aware that there are stairs after you enter to get to the elevator which may be a problem for some. I have walking issues but could managed as there is a good railing.

• Gilda (10/5): Soggiorno ottimo - Appartamento nel cuore di Messina, proprio dietro il duomo, posizione ottima. La struttura bella, nuova e modernizzata. La nostra camera era sufficientemente grande, ben illuminata come anche il bagno (dove purtroppo non c’era la finestra ma pazienza). Abbiamo trovato tutto abbastanza pulito. Il letto veramente confortevole! Il proprietario e la receptionist sia per messaggio che dal vivo molto gentili e disponibili. Ci tornerei volentieri! Attenzione se avete il sonno leggero perché essendo in centro c’è spesso rumore fino a tardi, ma per noi non è stato un problema. Un po’ buio il corridoio e la hall. Niente finestra nel bagno.

Essendo giorno di festa cittadina ed essendo il b&b nel cuore di questa festa, ci hanno saputo consigliare ed indirizzare nel modo giusto, dal parcheggio, alla cena ecc...il b&b si trova in una posizione ottima. • Rumeysa (1/5): - - This is a follow-up to my previous feedback. We have been covered in insect bites all over our bodies since the very first day. At first, we did not think much of it, but the situation has become unbearable: our arms, legs, and even hands are now covered in itchy, swollen bites (see attached photos). This is absolutely unacceptable and raises serious questions about the hygiene and maintenance standards of this place.
• Rumeysa (5/5): Lage sehr gut, Komfort ist passabel. - Die Lage ist sehr zentral, sowohl zum Messina Hauptbahnhof als auch zu dem Port. Die Matratze und die Kissen sind sehr hart. Es ist Nachts sehr laut in der Umgebung. Es kam Zigarettenrauch in das Zimmer durch die Klimaanlage. An zwei Tagen hatten wir leider kaltes Wasser in der Dusche. Und der Boden wurde zwischen des Aufenthalts leider kein einziges Mal gewischt. Einige Dinge im Raum scheinen kaputt zu sein, wie der Vorhang und Waschbeckenunterschrank. Die große Lampe im Raum funktioniert ebenfalls nicht. Es sieht den Bildern nicht so ähnlich.

Inoltre, la struttura si trova in una posizione strategica, praticamente vicinissima al Duomo di Messina, con bar, ristoranti, focaccerie, rosticcerie e tanto altro nelle immediate vicinanze.

• Ciccarelli (10/5): Quasi perfetto - Tutto molto carino, pulito e comodo. Staff molto disponibile. È stato un bel soggiorno e la posizione era ottima!! So che, in vista di qualsiasi evento, i prezzi salgono, è ovvio. Ed infatti eravamo lì per un concerto. Però, in questo caso, tutti i B&B a Messina hanno alzato un po' troppo, considerando che in un periodo normale, il prezzo sarebbe di circa €70 a notte e noi abbiamo pagato più di €200. Capisco l'occasione, non sono gli unici ad averlo fatto ma, purtroppo, devo metterlo tra i punti a sfavore!!

• Berhault (5/5): Une nuit sans dormir - Emplacement génial , chambre propre et spacieuse. La machine à café dans le couloir est un plus. Nous n’avons passé qu’une nuit dans cet hébergement. Malheureusement, la climatisation fuyait et ne fonctionnait pas : elle a goutté, goutte après goutte, toute la nuit sans interruption, ce qui nous a empêchés de bien dormir. Nous avons signalé le problème pendant la nuit, et il est dommage que les propriétaires n’aient pas réagi alors même qu’ils ont vu notre message. Nous n’avons eu un retour qu’après notre départ. Sans ce désagrément, le séjour aurait été parfait.

• Summer_Walker (9/5): Convince and value. - This was our 2nd stay at B&B Lepanto. Perfect location, easy walk from train and ferry port. Many restaurants nearby. Staff were pleasant, and they have great coffee available all hours. All at a great value. There is some street noise, but not intolerant.

Camera molto rumorosa sia di giorno che di notte perché affaccia su una delle vie principali. Il mini frigo, ogni volta che si accende e spegne fa molto rumore e mi svegliava la notte. Materasso vecchiotto e cattivo odore dentro l'armadio.

• Tom (7/5): Schlaflos in Messina - Saubere Zimmer, im Zentrum von Messina. Unkomplizierter Check-Inn. Sehr laute Hauptstraße und Bars direkt im Haus bzw. gegenüber. Einzige Ruhezeit zwischen ein Uhr nachts und sechs Uhr morgens. Mücken im Zimmer.
• Birgit (7/5): - Lage im Stadtzentrum, Sauberkeit, Bäder Die Unterkunft liegt mitten in der Party-Zone von Messina über mindestens drei Lokalen, die auch an Wochentagen laute Musik bis ca. 3 Uhr morgens spielen, das war bei offenem Fenster nicht und bei geschlossenem Fenster auch mit Ohrstöpseln und noise canceller schwer zu ertragen, bzw. kommt man nachts nicht zu viel Schlaf.

• Eletta (1/5): Pessima esperienza - Posizione centrale. Stanza prenotata per due persone, io e mio figlio di 5 anni, per tre notti. Al mio ingresso in camera ho subito notato la mancanza del secondo set di asciugamani, ingenuamente ho pensato ad una dimenticanza e ne ho fatto richiesta, trovandoli al mio rientro la sera. Dopo l'invio dei documenti miei e di mio figlio per la registrazione, mi viene fatto presente l'importo della tassa di soggiorno da saldare. Con garbo faccio notare l'errore nel calcolare la tassa anche per il bambino, ricordando che da regolamento comunale i minori dell'età di mio figlio non la pagano. In uno scambio di messaggi poco professionali, mi viene risposto che "le politiche le conosco molto bene" (e peggio ancora dico io) aggiungendo che "se è per questo non sarebbe stato previsto il set di asciugamani per il bambino, proprio per la stessa cosa", asciugamani che loro mi avrebbero poi fatto avere perché ci tengono a mettere a loro agio i clienti. Peccato che prima abbia dovuto chiederli. In tutti i viaggi e strutture che ho visitato con il mio bambino, ovviamente regolarmente registrato, mai mi era successo di non trovare il set asciugamani anche per lui ma la cosa che più mi ha lasciata basita è stata che mi sia stato fatto notare in coincidenza con un loro errore nel calcolare il totale di una tassa di soggiorno. Come se non bastasse: - Camera da letto matrimoniale con struttura letto ove al posto di un materasso matrimoniale c'erano due materassi singoli uniti di cui si avvertiva tutta la scomodità. - Posizione centrale con affaccio su una via (Cesare Battisti) molto trafficata anche di notte, con schiamazzi di movida capaci di tener svegli anche oltre le 4 del mattino senza che la camera fosse dotata di una adeguata insonorizzazione degli infissi. - Scarsa illuminazione della camera.
