Guest Reviews
- Ramakrishna (4/5): - The employees during the day are very rude. Don’t provide AC and the showers are only half covered so all the water falls on the floor. Only good thing is their breakfast which is quite amazing
- Liana (10/5): - Set just below Mont Martre Cathedral, this apartment/hotel is perfect for a longer stay in Paris. Kitchen (includes stove top & microwave) gives you the option of eating in or dining out. Very spacious room, especially in PARIS! Comfortable beds, quiet, self-laundry available. I stayed a total of 13 nights - felt like home.
Only heads up: MANY stairs to climb in order to get there - lot's of luggage? - take a taxi.
- Sara (8/5): - Our room was clean and quiet and the staff was very kind and helpful whenever we needed something. There were so many cute dining options nearby and we were very close to a metro station.
- Jorge (10/5): - So far so good experience.
- Haider (10/5): - An excellent apart-hotel in Montmartre with very close access to Sacre-Couer and dining options. Would definitely come again!
- Cecily (10/5): - The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and modern. Excellent location near Monmarte attractions. My daughter and I felt very safe walking around the area and would definitely stay here again.
- Lorena (10/5): - We enjoyed stayed at Appart Hotel Odalys . We already missing it.
- Sharnica (8/5): - The staff was really helpful
- Steven Gary (10/5): - The staff were very friendly and the neighborhood was great. There are many stairs and a considerable distance to the local buses and subways.
- David (10/5): - Loved this Hotel. Clean quiet and close to everything.
- Marie-Christine (6/5): - Big room. Clean but windows are broken.
- Donald J (10/5): - Super home base to explore the city from. Easy to spend time close to the hotel with sights, parks, restaurants all within easy stroll. We were using taxis versus metro, taxi from hotel gets an added charge but short walk down stairs to nearby taxi stand is available once you get to know the area. Metro is a longer walk. Service was great, many thanks
- sylvie (10/5): - Was upgraded on arrival which was a very nice surprise as that never happened before. We had plenty of space. Everything was super clean, the breakfast was delicious. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel is situated right behind "Le Sacre Coeur" which makes it the perfect place to visit Montmartre.
- Anne (4/5): - Beautiful property very well situated. However the staff isn't as friendly as expected. We had to wait hours for our room arriving from an international flight. Room is poorly designed - shower/tub walls are high so it was difficult to get in and out, tub was extremely narrow and shower door only covers half of the tub causing water on the floor. No bathroom ventilation. Air conditioning in the room leaked on the wall, nightstand and bed making it very difficult to sleep. Poor mattress quality, two twins beds put together with different mattress and height. Windows did open but church bells and birds are nosy. Disappointed for the price paid.
- Ursula (10/5): - Nice hotel, appreciated the kitchenette.
- Jaime Martin Rivas (10/5): - Everything was excellent.
- Liz (10/5): - I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I arrived early and my room was ready so they allowed me to check in early, which was wonderful. Also, I received a complimentary upgrade to an apartment, which was spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff at the front desk, particularly Dolly, went above and beyond to ensure that I had directions to the Metro and recommendations for things to see and restaurants to try. I selected this based on other reviews and it exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend it. Hope to return!
- Paul (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable apartment very close to Monmartre. Hotel staff were very polite and professional, a really pleasant stay
- HEMALKUMAR (10/5): - We enjoy out stay in Paris.Nice hotel.we are comig back again.
- Carmen (10/5): - 2 minutes walk from Sacred Couer, 7 minutes walk to the Metro 12. The bed matress is very comfortable and firm. We like the breakfast.
- John (10/5): - Great value for money. Absolutely excellent location. We had a wonderful stay.
- Michael (10/5): - Great modern hotel with huge room by Paris standards and right near Sacré Coeur
- Falah (10/5): - Great, as described.
- mary (6/5): - There were two coffee pods in the room when we arrived. If you want any more coffee, you had to pay for it. If you wanted your room cleaner, it was €10 the desk clerk suggested a restaurant to us. That was the worst food we had the whole time we were in Paris And not only was a bad, but it was an hour and a half Wait to get it. I didn’t find the bed to be comfortable. The bathtub was so skinny at at 130 pounds. I could barely squeeze into it. There was no handles to help climb out of it. Other than that, the room was clean and the location was fabulous.
- David Frank (10/5): - Walk to Lamarck metro about 1/2 mile. Staff friendly and informative. Rooms big and clean.
- Hsiu Ping (6/5): - I booked the property because it list jacuzzi and steam
But it is not for free of use. Need appointment and 20 dollars an hour to use it
I am very disappointed about that
- Krista (10/5): - This was a spacious hotel
Room in a great location that was walkable for all of Montmartre. We enjoyed our stay and the proximity to great sights. It was also very quiet despite being so close to such a popular tourist area. We would recommend!
- Haley Louiseann (10/5): - The room was larger than expected and the amenities were great. The staff were friendly and very welcoming to English speaking tourists. The receptionist helped us understand the transportation systems and helped us get the cheapest and most convenient pass. The hotel provided great recommendations for restaurants and attractions. The breakfast was also divine.
- Rowena (10/5): - The property is very nice ,just lots of stairs ,but you can still avoid the stairs going around close to Basilica, lots of dining and very good food, the staff are wonderful.
- Jorge Andres (10/5): - This is a nice hotel in a very nice area for dining and walking around. Great customer service experience also.
- Laura (6/5): - Nice location in the heart of Montmartre about 5km from the Paris center. Hotel is clean, comfy and staff are helpful. I was charged for extra Nespresso pods which I found a little dissapointing. The shower did not drain well. If you are sensitive to smells, they use a powerful air freshener in the hallways which I had a hard time tolerating but the rooms did not have any scents.
- Shahram (6/5): - Breakfast was not good and staff behavior was not totally friendly
- Emily (10/5): - Staff were lovely and friendly, the location is amazing for access to the metro, train or just pottering around Montmartre and the hotel is very quiet. The communal areas are also very clean and the hotel has a lift (which provides welcome respite from all the stairs around Paris!) Would stay here again without a second thought and would highly recommend for any traveller.
- Kai (8/5): - We stayed for 6 nights
- Kim (10/5): - Love this neighbourhood to stay. Amazing restaurants and grocery store just a short walk away as well as excellent museums. We cooked and found the kitchen could have been better. Weird that there was no soap or sponge - we had to purchase a Cleaning Kit from the front desk for 6 Euro. Not cool. It should have been included. No cork screw. There is no close parking but you shouldn't have a car in Paris anyway! Overall a nice place for the 3 days we were there.
- Armin (6/5): - Nice neighborhood. The room Air conditioner was very helpful in the warm weather. Quiet and Clean.
- Pearly Marasigan (10/5): - Excellent location in a tourist area, behind sacre couer. Lots of cute restaurants and shops nearby! Multiple metro stations in the area to get around. Just be aware hotel is on a hill therefore lots of stairs to go anywhere and cobblestones. Modern rooms with a small kitchenette. Friendly staff. Our room had AC and great shower water pressure.
- Donna Clare (10/5): - Friendly staff. Clean room, decent check out time (12:00 noon) and plenty of choice for breakfast. Great location to explore the city from and stunning part of Paris.
- Emma (10/5): - Good customer service
- Sam (8/5): - Local clean, simple hotel in a quiet area.
- Victor (8/5): - Quiet location.
- Susan (8/5): - Our experience was all good. Staff were very helpful. Hotel was clean and the breakfast was fresh and very chilled. Quite near metro station - Lanark
- Emily (10/5): - We had a great stay - fab location and v friendly staff x
- Graciela (10/5): - Aparthotel Odalys is great for a stay in Paris right next to sacred coeur basilica . Couple blocks from beautiful restaurants and shopping in Montmartre a great neighborhood in Paris. I would definitely stay there gain. Keep in mind it’s on a hill and you will need to go up and down the stairs to get to metro stops or there is also an option of taking a furniculare.
- Amit (8/5): - Property was ok but the location is amazing.
- denis (10/5): - Le spa n’était pas opérationnel durant notre séjour de 8 jours mais on nous a offert deux déjeuner s gratuit
- Ryan (10/5): - Excellent spot. Would easily stay here again. The area around the hotel is awesome. Super clean, super safe, a short walk to anything you could ask for. Do not hesitate to stay here.
- Michael (10/5): - It is located just behind Sacré-Cœur and you can access the city center of Paris by foot (or public transport). The hotel is wonderful! It comes with spacious rooms (including a kitchen) and laundry-facility. Overall the hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful! We will definitely stay here again, when we are back in Paris!!
- Feng (10/5): - We had very pleasant stay at the property. Safe, convenient, and cozy. Just be aware of the stairs 😀. We would definitely come back if we visit Paris again.
- Marc (10/5): - Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. It's just behind the Sacré-Cœur (<5 minute walk). The other streets around the hotel are very quaint and beautiful. It's a very nice hotel in a very picturesque location. The only thing to know is that it's on top of same hill that the Sacré-Cœur is situated on, so coming back at the end of the day will always require walking up steps or hills unless you take a taxi. Worth it, though. And the front desk quickly booked a cab for us to Gare du Nord when our original taxi reservation fell through. Thank you!
- Maria Elena (10/5): - El hotel está muy limpio excelente ubicación personal muy amable
- Pamela (6/5): - A terrible spot to do laundry. One machine for washing and one drying. No complimentary water bottles, rude housekeeping staff. No face cloths. Inconsistent replenishing of towels and bathmat. No daily replenishing of coffee. Close to Basilica.
- Bobby (10/5): - A dream spent a week with my wife in Paris this location is a dream book it cheap and really nice
- Donnakay (10/5): - The receptionist were Great. Helpful and kind.
- Mayra (10/5): - I can't recommend this place enough. It is literally in the back of Sacre Cour. Keep in mind that this is an apartment hotel and therefore they do not pick up the room daily, which was not a problem for us. They only clean for stays of 5 days or more. The room has a kitchenette, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. The view from the 4th floor was amazing!
- Sybile Deborah (10/5): - Superb stay at Odalys. Great location and friendly staff. Would recommend with no hesitation.
- Amy (8/5): - I knock one star off due to the staff's attitude. When I checked in the lady gave me a slip of paper saying that cleaning is not included and if I want it it will be 10 Euro.
I looked back at past confirmation from Expedia from April 1, 2025 when I booked it. Expedia clearly says for stay of 1-4 days daily cleaning IS included. I showed the front desk man the next morning the email as well as the slip the receptionist gave me. Instead of just acknowledging a mistake given my proofs, he questioned me twice whether I booked in 2024. I said no, look at the email date. He said in 2025 they had a change of policy in that cleaning is not included. He said Expedia all had no cleaning included but mine was different????? I don't appreciate the insinuation that I may have doctored the confirmation from Expedia - really for 10 Euro? Anyways they cleaned the room for free. I think the staff needs training. Location is great for a visit to Sacred Coeur church and the surrounding shopping and doing a portrait at the square is highly recommended. Room is nice and comfortable.
- Gloria (10/5): - Great hotel with plenty of restaurants and shopping to visit. Walking distance to the Basilique du Sacré Coeur in Montmartre. Hotel staff were wonderful and always responded!
- Lyn (8/5): - Like home.
You can walk around Montmarte easy
IF you are like me, whose AIM is to visit & attend Mass at Sacred Heart or Sacre Coeur & do Adoration, this is the BEST place.
Whatever your reason: be it to SEE or "to be seen", this is an appropriate place.
- Ronald (10/5): - friendly and knowledgeable staffs offer excellent service. Offers excellent breakfast.
- Kamile (10/5): - This is a great place to stay in ! Staff was friendly and helpful. Specialy thanks to Laurent (gentil monsieur), he was amazing !!! Will come back again for sure
- Mary Ann (8/5): - It was very clean. The bathroom should be updated. It was very difficult to shower and not get water all over the place. The fridge was really nice and the bed was very comfortable. We were required to empty our own trash and get new trash bags from the reception and we thought that was a bit of an inconvenience as the trash bins are in the basement of the hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would probably stay here again if we wanted to stay in Montmartre. There are a LOT of stairs and hills and it’s very hard on the legs and feet! Place du Terte was right around the corner, which was nice!
- Kate (10/5): - Warm and helpful staff-beautiful location
- Nikki (10/5): Great city centre stay - We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was so big for city centre Paris and very comfortable we slept well. And lovely hot water. Would stay here again!
- Amber Nicole (10/5): - We stayed in room 309. The room was clean and they gave us plenty of towels and such. The room has AC but we were there in April so we just opened the windows. The room had two big windows and a beautiful view of the gardens and you could see the top of sacre coeur. They gave us complimentary coffee and tea. Everything in the kitchen area worked and was clean. They have working fire alarms, unsure about carbon monoxide detectors. They have working lifts. The surrounding neighborhood is beautiful and is within walking distance to cafes, sites, and markets as well as laundry. We walked to trains and bus stops to explore other areas of Paris. We also had no issues with finding a Uber driver. It was very quiet at night. The price was fair. I will stay here again.
- Guy (8/5): - Friendly, helpful staff. Great location in Montmartre!
- Henri-Christian (10/5): - Location is really good. About 45 minutes from Orly Airport; 30 - 45 minutes from major touristic sites in the center of Paris.
Customer Services Excellent
The Staff cares to customer convenience and satisfaction
We would recommend:
1. Iron and Iron table in the rooms
2. In regards to the breakfast buffet, to offer 2 - 3 more eggs style (sunny eggs, omelets ...)
- Paul (10/5): - Parfait!
- Corina (10/5): - Loved the location!
- Suzette (10/5): - great appartment hotel in a great location. great ammenities in the room
- Nathan (8/5): - Fantastic location, steps from the Bayeux Cathedral, shops and restaurants. Matthew, the host, is friendly and accommodating. The apartment is clean and well furnished, and a good value overall.
- PETER JAMES (10/5): - Ticked all our boxes, did everything well, great location
- Sandra (10/5): - Staff extremely friendly & helpful. A slight language barrier on occasion but, we managed to work round with gestures.
Hotel was brilliant, more than expected
- Bertha (10/5): - Excellent location, it is truly 2 mins away from Sacre Cord, nice room and excellent service all around. Highly recommended!
- Ralph (8/5): - Staff very helpful , location to sites & restaurants. Uber distance to orher sites reasonable.
- Ralph (10/5): - Great location to Basilique de Sacre & restaurants, etc.. Staff kind & helpful. I would definitely stay again.
- Iain (10/5): Lovely short break in Montmartre - Location is very convenient, being a 5 minute walk from the middle of Montmartre. The nearest Metro (Lamarck-Caulaincourt) is a 10 minute stroll downhill to the station and 15 minutes uphill towards the hotel. Being an Aparthotel and therefore with a kitchen I took advantage of a local supermarket for food and drinks for breakfast and ate out for evening meals. There are some excellent places to eat which are slightly off the beaten track if you’re looking to eat locally to the hotel - head towards the Metro for these to avoid the Montmartre crowds. If my stay was longer than the three nights I would probably have made use of the small hob and microwave to cook a full meal. This is a really functional hotel which is clean, tidy and has all necessary comforts. It’s not designed for a luxury stay but a practical one, which was exactly what we wanted. My only criticism is that, whilst there is a Nespresso machine (bring your capsules!) there is no kettle to boil water when wanting tea - so you’ll need to boil a small pan of water instead!
Staff were very polite at check in and check out and put up with my attempts to try and speak very basic French!
Overall I would highly recommend this as a base for exploring Paris, but especially if you’re keen on seeing Montmartre and the 18th Arrondissement.
- John (8/5): Great location in Montmartre - Wonderful little aparthotel in a quiet part of Montmartre near the basilica. Close to all amenities including landmarks, restaurants, and transit, but away from the crowds. Friendly and helpful staff.
- Patrick Johnathon (10/5): - Great hotel we stay here all the time we’re in Paris
- Jill (6/5): - The room had everything for a functioning kitchen, but no wash cloths or facial tissues. The memory foam mattress was very hot and made sleeping difficult.
- Alexandra (10/5): Great value, pretty location - Really friendly front desk manager, spacious and well equipped room. Very close to Sacre Coeur, amazing views all around.
- Craig (10/5): - We loved the location, the people at the front desk were very helpful and friendly, they recommended places where to eat and we spent every night at the location. We would highly recommend this hotel
- Kathy (10/5): Great place to stay, but there are some limits. - I recommend the Odalys City Paris Montmartre overall. It is in a great location near the Basilica of Sacre Coeur, at the highest point in the city. Behind it is an amazing square with many shops and restaurants. The area seemed very safe. And the bus and metro can take you to other sites.
Also, the room was spotless, well-appointed, and had a very comfortable bed. The kitchen even had a tiny dishwasher, which you will need if you are using any of the dishes. It was quite convenient.
We encountered only two problems.
1) The shower was also a soaker tub, so it was very deep. It was also very slippery, with nothing to grab. The shower door was only a half door and swung out, so would provide no support. The bottom of the tub had no texture or mat. And there was no grab bar. Neither of us slipped, but we here very careful. I did slip in a similar tub in Canada so I was extra careful.
Note to the hotel: A mat in the shower would really help.
2) The internet was sketchy most of the time. We were given 2 different networks and 3 passwords. They would work for a time and then crap out. That was pretty inconvenient.
3) They do have a laundry but your need to have 1 or 2 euro coins. They have no change machine and the front desk refused to make change. If you want to do laundry, be prepared.
- Steven (8/5): 8 day stay. - Great location and friendly staff at the front desk. Common areas of the hotel were clean. The housekeeping is good, but you need to pay an extra fee for your room to be cleaned (we had ours cleaned once in 8 days). You also need to pay extra for towels if you want fresh ones (other than on your cleaning day). There is a spa, but you need to book and pay extra. Breakfast was very good..but adds up quickly as an addition to your bill if you are planning on having breakfast for several days on a long stay (its also a charge per person, not just by room). Overall was good stay and a great location, however, the extra fees were a little bit annoying but partly not surprising with a prime location in Paris. Pro tip- We found the line 12 metro station "lamarck - calaincourt" to be easier to use due to an easier walk than the chateau rouge station on line 4. (Less stairs/hills). I would book this location again if I were stay in Montmartre again in the future.
- Melanie (10/5): Wonderful hotel!! - Fantastic hotel right in the heart of Montmartre. Staff are super friendly and very helpful. Great kitchenette in the room. Shower was hot with good water pressure. Bed was a touch hard for me but that’s such a personal thing. Would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat!
- Peter (10/5): - Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Thouroughly recommended.
- James (8/5): - The staff was lovely, the hotel was fine, but you need to know that there is a staircase of 120 stairs to get up and down to the main part of town. If you are elderly or not in shape, this staircase needs to be taken into consideration.
- Laura (10/5): - I don’t want to stay anywhere else in Paris ever again. This was a fantastic location. Our room was spacious (especially for a European stay). The staff was absolutely fantastic and it’s close to a lot of local metro stops making it super easy to see the city.
- N (8/5): It’s such a shame. - The place is lovely and the guy that checked us in was super helpful but there are a few things that trip this place up - the fact that the bedroom to had no remote control was annoying, that the air conditioner was set to heating was super frustrating because we run hot and there was no way to cool the room, and in addition the parking outside the hotel is super sketchy (every space had broken glass on the floor and one Tesla had a window peeled down and people we picking at its contents as though it were a charcuterie) so all in all I wouldn’t recommend anyone go here.
- Todd (10/5): - We were delighted with our stay. Staff was helpful and efficient. Location is unrivalled - directly behind Sacre-Couer Basilica! And easy access to Metro and great restaurants. Be prepared to walk up and down lots of steps as you explore the area!
- Meredith (10/5): - Highly recommend this hotel. Loved loved loved the location. Stayed for a week - it was clean, quiet, affordable, air conditioned, with a truly lively front desk staff that went out of their way on several occasions to assist us. Would stay again in a heart beat.
- Anya (6/5): - I had a decent stay at this hotel. I loved how close to was the Sacré-Cœur, a subway station, and multiple great restaurants. The hotel was clean and had many great supplies. I was even lucky enough to have a crock screw and wine glasses. However, the body wash was already running low when we got there and the cleaner came once (had to pay if we wanted them to come more) and the body was was never replaced. The towels smelled so strange, almost like moldy cheese but were luckily replaced after cleaning. We were also upgraded to an apartment instead of a studio which was wonderful.
However, my biggest issue with this place was their lack of communication. I had left my trench coat in the hotel and only realized I left it when I was about to board and leave Paris. When I got home, I contacted the hotel and let them know I left the coat. They told me that they didn’t find any coats. I understand it was my fault and I was forgetful but the hotel even asked for a phone number in case I left anything behind. I had left my dad’s phone number but he didn’t receive any calls. The hotel even informed me that they will let me know if they did find my coat but there was still no response. I was a bit disappointed in them considering how nice the staff actually was. If I were to come back to Paris, I’d stay away from this place.
- Shefali (10/5): Perfect - Great location and hotel. Only issue is walking with luggage to the hotel as it’s on a contoured area and you need to lift your bags up public staircases.
Area is brilliant, amazing bistros and cafes in the area
- Dorothy (10/5): - It was great hotel. Would definitely stay there again.
- Gareth (10/5): Comfortable Montmartre Hotel - Comfortable Montmartre Hotel, dog friendly, large jacuzzi and steam room (extra fee)
Excellent location with many local restaurants, great views and a base for exploring the city.
Secure underground parking garage.
- Nigel (10/5): - A lovely hotel right in the center of Montmartre.
My room was spacious with a terrific view.
Everything was very clean. Nice kitchen area with coffee maker. The breakfast was superb.
This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in for years.
I would stay here again for sure.
- Emilio (10/5): - Excellent hotel!
- John (8/5): - A clean, friendly, quiet place, ideal if you want to hang out in Montmartre. To go anywhere else, you have the expense of transportation. The staff was extremely helpful in arranging anything we wanted. The breakfast was extra but very nice, and not real early like some places. The area is very hilly with stairs and cobblestones, so if you are elderly, unsure on your feet, or have lung or heart issues, you might think twice before staying here. But if you want somewhere where you can walk-climb to restaurants, not have a bunch of cars whizzing around, explore a wonderful church that you don't have to pay to take a tour of, then Odalys is a great option.
- Linda (10/5): - Nice room for a reasonable price. Love being in the artist district near cute restaurants and historic sites. Highly recommend.
- Anna (10/5): - The room was spacious. Having a full kitchen is handy when you’re staying longer. There is a washer and dryer but it’s on the small-ish side, but very reasonably priced. They provide free detergent as well. We arrived super early and while check in wasn’t til 3pm, they were able to provide an early check in for a small fee when I inquired. The area around the hotel can get busy but the street itself is quiet. The metro stations are not that far but does involve a bit of stairs or walking up an incline on cobblestones. It was fine for us but some might struggle with it. The Montmarte area is beautiful and you can’t go wrong with Odalys!
