Guest Reviews
Propre. Bon accueil et toutes les explications. À disposition dès que possible.
- Carlos Javier (10/5): Bello alojamiento! - Muy cálida y amplia, la vista hermosa! Nada
Fantastisk utsikt, fina restauranger i Pogerola. Brödkniven var inte så skarp.
- Thamires (10/5): - Great people, very Nice and kindly
- Rafael (10/5): -
- Kubra (10/5): -
- Lies Georgette Denise (8/5): - Vista mare bellissima Un po’ datato
- Khada (3/5): - Very poor management. Nothing is available for first-time use — you need to bring everything yourself. Shops are far away, and the roads are narrow, making it challenging to drive if you don’t have experience in hilly areas.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Laura (10/5): - Great view I didnt like the steps
- Nadiia (8/5): Very good -
- Salajdin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Leonard (8/5): High up - The apartment and view was good. The owner informed us that the taxis came near his home .We had asked him and then booked but we had to walk about half a kilometre. That was very disappointing .
- Mohammad (1/5): Do not stay at this place - Nothing Safety concerns no facilities staff was like gangsters and threatened
- Marleen (6/5): One and done - The view was amazing
Gerrys pub was very pleasant No one told us about needing a bus. It took 3 hours to work out a ride. The software for bus tickets didn't work. There is no direct way to get to the house. That is a problem
Knowing the housing is built into the hills but not knowing there is no access for the ride options
- Pulkit (8/5): Very good - Beautiful stay in the village of Pogerola, with stunning views of the Amalfi coastline. The owner is very helpful and makes the stay comfortable. Reaching the property can be a bit of a challenge. Might have to pull bags and walk for last 200 mtr
Some good to knows
About 150 stairs up is the Pogerola town center where you’ll find great local food and a bus to Amalfi, which takes around 20 minutes. If you're feeling adventurous, you can take around 1500 stairs down to reach the coast directly
- Aleksander (1/5): you can visit this place if there are absolutely no bugs, otherwise the vacation will be spoiled - the owner met us in the center of the village and showed us the local infrastructure and the location of the apartments, which are located 15 minutes from the nearest bus stop, which runs about once an hour to the city of Amalfi. Unfortunately, there were bedbugs in the bed of the apartment, which bit us every night for the entire 4 days, unfortunately, we could not immediately understand that they were bedbugs, but thought that they were mosquitoes. in total, we counted 176 bites that were very painful and itchy. We contacted the owner and he promised to take all measures to disinfect the premises.
- Paul (8/5): Amalfi is very beautiful and staying in a typical home in the small village of Pogerola is a great way to experience it - Beautiful location, well equipped, friendly and helpful hosts. Air conditioning didn’t work in the living room and one of the bedrooms. It would have been nice to have room a/c since it was quite hot and humid during our stay in mid-August.
- Sindu (8/5): Quaint Italian home experience! - The location was great for views of the Amalfi. Plenty of amenities like washing machine, dining cutlery and equipped kitchen Access to the property without a car is hard especially with luggage
- Molly (10/5): Exceptional - Local village was absolutely beautiful and the locals were very welcoming. Vincenzo was a great host and very accommodating and helpful. I would recommend this accommodation to my friends and family
- Sadiyya (9/5): Superb - It is the most gorgeous location of quiet and solitude. The location in a small village, pogerolo, above the town of amalfi (which is overcrowded and way too touristy) provides a wonderful soulful retreat. Folks in the village of pogerola are warm and helpful. I definitely recommend NOT staying in amalfi central and rather stay in a smaller village like this one or one of the others where people are nicer and the pace is restful. its also a 20 minute walk down stairs to get to amalfi and the ocean - so quite doable (despite some stain on the knees). The house is very comfortable and the terrace gives you a wide expansive ocean vista which is quite extraordinary. Once you settle in, the space invites you into a delicious slowness. Our host . Vincenzo who picked us up at the bus station was simply lovely - he was helpful and kind, and extremely responsive to any issues we had. Highly recommended. Maybe a rug or two in the house...that would simply make it cosier. This is not a criticism - just a suggestion :-)
- Moataz (10/5): Vincenzo was a great host! - Everything was perfect Nothing
- Sophie (8/5): Good value, great staff - Good view, big room, a lemon garden, the staff was very helpful The location is at the end of the village which over a cliff, driving there is not easy
- Aleksandr (10/5): Perfect host, ideal house, very friendly and helpful staff. Marcia helped us during all the stay: transferred us, she wa - Location, perfect view, great balcony, lemons garden A bit uncomfortable road to property village - 20 minutes by bus on mountain road or 30 minutes stairs walk
- Pascal (7/5): Nice place on the cliff but could be a bit more sophisticated - The location is stunning with a nice view on the sea. It among lemon trees plantation and the owner manager is very friendly and helpful and ready to give you information you need on bus timetables, restaurant The kitchen was underequipped, no bread knife, no minimum products such as oil, vinegar salt etc...Not even a mineral water bottle in the fridge, knowing that the first shop is 20 minutes walk from the house. In addition, we had to pay 20 euros per day for the a rather not user friendly parking which exagerated
- Hans (6/5): A lot of walking. - Great view. 163 steps to anywhere.
- Grace (10/5): Exceptional - Olga was a very attentive host and gave us the perfect instructions on how to get to the property. She meet us on arrival and answered all our questions. A great location, easy bus ride up the hill. The place has the best, most relaxing view. There were restaurants, tea rooms and a mart all 5mins from the property. 10/10 highly recommend
- Helin (9/5): Superb -
- Amelia (8/5): Very good -
- Zainab (9/5): Superb -
- María (8/5): A great place to stay! - The location was great! It only took a few minutes by bus to get to Amalfi city. It is located in a small and peaceful town called Pongerola where locals are nice and you can find small supermarkets and restaurants.
The apartment was very clean and the view was amazing. The beds and mattress could improve.
At the beginning it was not easy to find. But once you understand how to get to it, it is very easy!
I recommend to take the bus and not the taxi.
- Ella (8/5): Very good - Lovely helpful people running it Location was middle of no where
- Anna (9/5): Superb - The people of Pogerola were very kind and friendly. The location although in the middle of nowhere and a challenge to find, had a beautiful outlook of the water and vegetation. The home was very hard to locate. The hostess at times was hard to reach for help. The washing machine didn't work well at all. One load took 2hours and no spin cycle. Had to stop the machine myself and strain my own clothes which didn't even dry well on the line after leaving them in the scorching sun all day. The towel rod kept falling and the toilet set need readjusting cause it kept moving..
- Samir (3/5): Everything was not wat we expected and far away from any thing -
- Anneli (10/5): Lovely place in the mountains with fantastic view. Spacious apartment in wonderful surroundings. Nice host, very friendl -
- Karli (8/5): Beautiful location and stunning view. Host was very accomodating. - The host helped us find the property as we got a little lost. She was incredibly helpful with giving us information on getting around and gave us nice restaurants to try. Highly recommend. The beds weren’t very comfortable.
- Roschelle (10/5): we loved it!!! would recommend this place to anyone - andrea and olga are the best hosts! they were very helpful and welcoming. very thoughtful and sweet as well. the stairs but that’s all over the amalfi coast. it’s not the easiest place to get to and also the private van would not be able to pick you up right at the house, having to walk with luggage could be hard.
- Kumari (8/5): When we're back again in Amalfi, will definitely stay again !! - We stayed for 4 nights. The house was spacious/big room with a great view. Took alot of picture in lemon garden. Olga helped us to book taxi , recommended restaurants & bar. She was very helpful. Just be prepared to walk 15 upstairs to bus station. Overall great experience.
(10/5): Exceptional - Olga, our host, is very polite! She was waiting for us for more than an hour to give us the key, because we were late for the check in. The house was very clean. Good air conditioning, hot water, good apartment!
The view is amazing! It is on the top of Amalfi and there is a breathtaking view! There are 100 steps up, or 5 minutes to the bus station and there is a great restaurant over there - La Capannina. Real Italian food!
In front of the house is the path to Amalfi. 700 steps down or 25 minutes and you are in Amalfi!
- Szeki (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kimberly (9/5): beautiful place and location was prefect. - Great location
- Magdalena (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is spacious, very quiet with beautiful views, and the parking space is just fabulous - under the lemon trees. It is very clean, the hosts take care to ensure the comfort of guests: basic cosmetics and disposable slippers are available. The location is great: you can take the bus from Amalfi and go down the stairs in a few minutes to the apartment.
The hosts are very nice and helpful, but not imposing.
Due to bad weather which forced us to change our travel plans, I asked for an earlier check in time and it was no problem, I got confirmation quickly and we were able to check in early.
It was a very nice gesture to give us lemons from the local orchard. There was a bit of trouble with the internet connection, but it's hard to say if it's the fault of the wi-fi or the network in general
- Alessandro (8/5): Very good -
