Early check-in depends on availability. If you plan to arrive before 7:00 AM, please book your stay from the previous night to guarantee a room.
Private rooms are designed for two guests only, and we’re unable to provide extra beds or mattresses. Dorms are gender-specific (Mixed, Male-Only, or Female-Only). Please check carefully before booking, as we are unable to provide refunds for incorrect selections.
We offer free Wi-Fi (up to 2GB per user per day). If you need more, additional data will be charged.

Pets are welcome in private rooms only (and not in dorms) at a small charge of INR 500 + GST per pet per day (one pet per room). We kindly ask pet owners to take full responsibility for their pets.
Heaters are available on request for private rooms to keep things cozy. Dorms, however, do not include heaters.
For your convenience, lockers are available. Please use them to store valuables, as we cannot be responsible for lost items. If you lose a locker key, a replacement fee of INR 500 + GST will apply.

- Sakshi (10/5): Made memories of a lifetime here! :D - Overall, the vibes of gostops was THE best from all the hostels we stayed at!!! Location was also good. The room decor was beaautiful. We had handmade paintings in our room and it was a nice touch. The staff was supportive. The wifi was problematic. It's not easy to get connected to and doesn't work well. This hampered w work meetings a LOT. The staff was rude at times when dealing with people which made it awkward sometimes. They only got rude when people would make noise in the common room - totally valid concern - but could've been more soft spoken :) Else all was good!

- Reddy (3/5): Poor - I have reserved two rooms one was a private room with shared washroom and other was a private room with washroom. The one with shared washroom in the basement was horrible. It had zero ventilation. There was a smelly carpet in the room and due to no ventilation, it got really suffocating and nauseating. I would definitely not recommend anyone to reserve that room. Too pricey and shitty rooms. When enquired nearby I was getting a deluxe suite with a balcony in a 4-star hotel at the same price. Not at all worthy. Except for prime location, i dont see any pro's.

Had to make a booking just to hangout with friends in the common area, which I have never done before in my time while travelling and staying in hostels.

- Fabian (10/5): Exceptional - We had a really lovely stay in the goStop hostel. The rooms are nice, colorful and absolutely cozy. The room was bigger than expected and the staff kind and helpful. The rooftoop offers a nice area to chill with a view. The area Hanuman Ghat is very nice (even bettter than within the old town directly). You can walk to the old town in 5min so perfect base to visit the city by foot. We can definitely recommend spending your nights here during your stay in Udaipur.

Right from checking in though to sorting taxi to the airport, he was there for us, teaching us useful Hindi phrases on the way. - Natalie (7/5): Did the job - Location was really good, walking distance to most places and lots of shops and places to eat nearby Staff were really helpful and friendly Room was spacious Food at the hostel was super cheap (albeit basic) The photos make this place look vibrant and social but in reality everything was a bit tired looking and had no atmosphere. Although there is a spacious common area, there was no music or activities so hardly anyone went there. The front private room has a floor length window directly onto the street with a light sheet covering it. This meant there was light constantly coming in the room. Would be good if you could have a thicker black out type curtain here. WiFi - Only one person per booking was able to log on and as soon as you check out you can no longer access it (even if you're waiting at the hostel for transport later in the afternoon)

Upon our arrival the receptionist made sexist and misogynistic comments towards my wife while I was getting our luggage out of the taxi, telling her “we should wait for the man to check in” and insinuating that I had “girlfriends” living with me when she couldn’t remember our full home address. The room itself was fine (emphasis on fine), however the mattress was very hard and made for a very uncomfortable sleep. The shower water dried out both our hair and skin, we’re not sure if it is an issue with an old heater. We have since stayed in 2 other properties in Udaipur and can confirm this has only happened while staying here. While the rooftop chill out area was nice with good, affordable food on the menu (although a lot wasn’t available when we stayed), this was often ruined by the staff allowing customers to play their music on the loud speakers at all hours of the day and at extremely loud levels, to the point where we had to leave as we couldn’t hear each other. Staff even refused to intervene when we politely asked them to ask the other customer to turn down the music. Finally, the quiet hours, as displayed throughout the property (10pm to 8am), were not enforced, with the loud music often going until 1 am in the morning. Overall, I would recommend booking elsewhere, you can find better properties in the same location at much more affordable rates with staff who care about customer satisfaction.
