Guest Reviews
- Richard (6/5): Superb, remote location - Stayed at this property for 1 night only en route to ferry at Roscoff, approx 4 hours away. Remote location, definitely need a sat nav especially if approaching from the Nantes direction. 3 rooms only, spotlessly clean, cannot fault property or location in idyllic setting very close to Brest/Nantes canal. Eateries a 10 mins. drive away in Blain, proprietor very helpful in providing choice of places to eat. Fantastic choice for breakfast, continental style only, but more than adequate. HOWEVER, after breakfast, l was presented with an account/bill for over 60 euros, being the standard rate, plus other charges, this was more than an embarrassment, as Proprietor spoke very little English, and myself very little French. l explained that l had already paid the full amount to Hotel.com, but this did not seem to be understood, and l was told that l had to pay 61 euros - l was not prepared to pay twice, and after showing her my confirmation from Hotel.com. on my phone she very reluctantly accepted that l only pay her the Euro 0.75 "tax-sejour" which is what l was expecting. Being part of Expedia, who may operate a system where clients DO pay for their stay direct to the property, might have been the cause of the confusion - l don,t know, but proprietor needs to be made aware that Bookings via Hotel.com, are pre-paid in full, except of course for the "tax-sejour" Would l stay here again? probably not, although l cannot criticize the property or the location, or the superb breakfast
