Loved the location and looked like back in the 1960s it would have been the pinnacle of seaside holidays - stunning old fashioned building, stonework, artworks hung on walls etc. Was great to have parking, even though it had creepy back alley vibes. The info leaflet was very detailed and the room was nice. Would have been a lovely view although was a bit tricky to see as windows not clean. Sadly it looked like some places hadn't been updated or cleaned since its heyday. Shower barely worked, it was just a dribble (3rd floor, so probably not worth turning the pump on). For the price it was alright, I wasn't expecting much so a lock on the door and an ok bed was acceptable. The car park is hidden round the back and doesn't look very safe - the nice lady on reception sent me back out to get my passport and then disappeared by the time I got back which wasn't a very welcoming start!

- Peg1 (10/5): Lovely stay at the Prince Regent - We have just returned from the prince regent and really enjoyed our stay. We have been to 5 other Daish’s hotels and our experience here was by far the best. The hotel is conveniently situated for Weymouth town, beaches and walks. Our room albeit a standard twin & at the back was quite big, newly decorated and immaculately clean. The staff were very welcoming and our waitress excellent she was very efficient and friendly. Food was good and plenty of choice. We saw the entertainment each evening which again was very good and there was no need to rush into the ballroom as there was always somewhere to sit . We hope to return again in the spring

- Reccers75 (2/5): AVOID!! - I will acknowledge at the outset that the Christmas decorations were attractive and initially welcoming. Unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of our stay. From the moment we entered our room, standards fell dramatically. Although the ground-floor room was suitable for our limited mobility, the condition of the room was foul. The windows were filthy, the carpet was threadbare and the room gave an overall impression of neglect. The most upsetting and unacceptable issue occurred on the first night. The mattress was clearly very old, with springs protruding into my back and it emitted a strong, unmistakable smell of dried urine. This was revolting and deeply distressing. No guest should ever be expected to sleep in a bed contaminated with someone else’s bodily fluids. I reported this immediately. I was informed that no replacement mattress was available anywhere in the hotel. A mattress protector was added as a supposed solution, which did absolutely nothing to resolve the problem. I was forced to spray air freshener throughout the room, bed and carpets simply to tolerate being in the room. This situation was unhygienic, degrading and completely unacceptable. We also spoke with another couple staying at the hotel who had dog fouling outside their room. Despite reporting this twice, no effective action was taken and they were eventually forced to clean it themselves. This was particularly shocking given that the hotel was not advertised as dog-friendly and the only dog present appeared to belong to the manager. This situation was foul and unacceptable To reach our room, we had to walk through the dining room, which was permeated with a foul smell of stale cooking. My husband, who is an engineer, advised that this was likely due to extractor fans not working correctly. This raises serious concerns about maintenance, hygiene and safety. I strongly urge head office to inspect this before a more serious incident occurs involving faulty equipment. The food throughout the stay was equally disgusting. Breakfast items were of extremely poor quality, tasteless bacon, sausages full of fat and gristle and eggs so small they had almost no yolk. The Christmas dinner was an embarrassment - one thin slice of tough turkey, two roast potatoes, a tiny spoon of vegetables and tasteless gravy with the Christmas pudding being a transparent sliver. Evening meals were no better - chicken breasts were so tough they could not be cut and were clearly cheap, frozen, low-quality produce. One evening, we were served chips – there were six in total. A so-called Stilton Salad consisted of a spoonful of leaves with cheese sauce. The portions were inadequate, the quality was appalling and the overall dining experience was thoroughly unpleasant. We could not wait to return home for a proper meal and a clean, comfortable bed. In summary, the conditions at this hotel were disgusting, upsetting and far below any reasonable standard.
- 317roseb (10/5): Amazing place. - We've just returned from a Twixmas break at the hotel. I was a bit dubious after reading reviews on here, but I shouldn't have worried. From Arrival to Departure it was amazing. Greeted by Paulena, and her furry friend! Once unpacked in a lovely warm huge room, although no sea view, it had all we needed. Went down to the bar where drinks are served at very good prices. Dinner in a smaller room, Spectre, we were looked after very well by Daniel, nothing was too much for him. Food throughout our stay was good. Entertainment each evening was very good, Elvis on Sunday was very good as we're the couple on Saturday, names in photos. We were sad to leave. Hotel itself was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Bingo each evening...good prizes.

Entertainment good some better than others but on the whole a great evening entertainment Restaurant will always try and help with your meals (especially if your like me a little fussy) but always helpful
- PhilL392 (10/5): Daish Prince Regent Hotel Coach Trip - Started with pleasant coach journey from West Midlands. Our excellent driver Wayne provided a smooth and relaxing journey. Reception staff helpful and welcoming. Our room 123 on first floor overlooked sea from 2 large sash windows. Good shower in bath with shower curtain. Very good entertainment. Matt Wallis was particularly good, with a rich voice and crowd pleasing act. We will be back. Thank you Daish, for a loverly break and unmatched value.

- JEL99 (6/5): Sadly Lacking .... - Has the potential to be a great hotel but woefully lacking in too many ways. Travelled with a large group who had booked the entire hotel out. Downstairs is lovely and welcoming then you go upstairs ..... The corridors are tatty, the wallpaper scuffed and peeling, the carpets dirty and worn out. My room is at the back of the hotel in the eaves, quiet but needs a good hoover and the torn wallpaper needs replacing. I'm very lucky to have three heaters but it's so hot up here and the window doesn't open. There's no fire safety notice The water pressure in the shower is beyond weak, rinsing the shampoo out of my long hair turned out to be an olympic sport of endurance. And the ill fitting toilet seat gave more slips and slides than an ice rink. Meal times have been farcical.... Closing the kitchen before everyone had eaten, running out of food despite us having to pre-order, burnt food, cheap ingredients. Make sure you stock up on drinks before dinner as well as the bar closes. The staff are pleasant and Daish's are lucky to have them ... But I won't be returning to this hotel.
- June1958 (8/5): Good hotel & location but needs a few improvements. - Another stay at this lovely hotel in a great location. Good points: Friendly, helpful staff especially on reception. Good selection of food, well cooked & served hot. Beautiful, large entertainment room. Lift wasn't working on arrival day but was fixed the next day. Not so good: Single room was very small but had a great sea view. Draught blowing through middle joint of sash window, could easily be fixed with draught excluder. Bathroom had very small shower cubicle which was dangerous if you happened to accidently knock the temp lever/scalding hot water also needs a sliding door to prevent walking into it when you used the sink; it kept opening. Service in restaurant slow at times, best waiter was 'Dan the Man', super speedy & friendly. Sat on table 15 in the small dining room so we had to wait until last to be served most times. Entertainment was very samey, first two night were fairly good, second two nights was not so good. People using Google spoilt the quiz & boring bingo had two sessions splitting the evening acts. If you are there for the Tinsel & Turkey stays; lookout for the carol singing notice, we missed it :( Really needs a few improvements such as flexible breakfast times, hot water/coffee/tea at your table for evening meals. These save waiting time & work brilliantly at another Daish's hotel. Journey back was delayed by a detour which could have been prevented. Sending a complaint to the company. Overall, I would return to The Prince Regent because of the location & the friendly staff.

- Stewarmy (10/5): HOTEL PRINCE REGENT, Weymouth! - Great Hotel, Right on the sea front, We had a superior sea view room ,with bay window, we travelled with Daish Holidays, I am Gluten free, so they are happy to accommodate Celiacs ! Always a good selection of food on offer ,we were bed , breakfast and evening meal, Good evening entertainment each evening,you an also nip next door to its sister hotel, The Russel ,and share there entertainment! All staff are friendly,you can't fault it !

- WiggyofIpswich (10/5): Super Room, Super Hotel, Mainly Super Hardworking Staff - Our first ever holiday with Daish at the Hotel Prince Regent, Weymouth was superb. Room 105 on the first floor had a great view of the seafront. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. The room and hotel were pretty clean. Evening meals couldn't have been better. For my wife and I the menu was varied. We always found something that we would enjoy eating. Breakfast wasn't so good as the ingredients were not of the best quality ( especially bacon and sausages ). Staff in the restaurant area were brilliant and worked very hard and efficiently. Evening entertainment was also very good. We wouldn't normally bother with evening entertainment when we go away. It was our first time playing bingo for 40 years. Nice to have a quiz too. The live acts were very good although 10-15 years out of our era as most of the people at the entertainment were over 75. By far the best evening was the Elvis tribute artist. He was superb and also had a great sense of humour. They will love him on the cruise ship. The main lady running the bar was excellent and again very efficient. Minor Problems; 1) The shower did take a long time to get warm and the heavy shower door fell off nearly hitting my toes. The problem with the door was reported to the main reception lady and sorted immediately. 2) As the majority of people wanted to use the lift at the same time ( meal times ) we found the lifts totally inadequate as the most people the lift we found could hold was 4. My wife has difficulty walking up stairs but had no other option than to hobble gingerly up and down the stairs as priority was always people on the higher floors. 3) The young receptionist seemed to have a poor attitude...... 'whatever' with a problem we had with the subtitles on the tv. The young barman wasn't very friendly and was more concerned with his appearance than getting things right with drinks. 4) The cups in our room on our arrival were very dirty and looked like they had been used by the previous guests. We used boiling water and cleaned them. These very minor problems didn't spoil our stay. We would definitely use a coach trip with Daish again. Thank you.
- 490jezs (10/5): Great holiday - We were pleasantly suprised on the improvements to this hotel. We visited 2 years ago and our room was dated and the food scarce and like warm. Now we stayed in a refurbished sea veiw room which had been done to a good standard. The shower was huge and powerful flow of water. The bed was comfortable and clean. Housekeeping was great too with lots of choice in teas and coffees. The dining room was also clean and comfortable. The food was hot with plenty of choice and cooked well. The staff were extremely friendly too. I actually was considering using a different holiday firm after a poor holiday in their scarbourgh hotel and average one in landuddno this year. But if they keep up with the refurbishment of their hotels and match the quality of food given at this hotel I will continue to holiday with daishes

Booked my room through a different website due to a very low price and without a surprise it turned out to be a very small single room. I upgraded to a stunning double room with a sea view on the first floor for just £15. The room was very spacious and clean and the staff was just lovely all over. I only stayed for one night but really wished I could stay longer and enjoy the view more!

We paid extra for an upgrade but the room was better than we expected. It was very big with loads of space, it had a lovely view looking out over the beach and sea front. Everything was very clean. We asked for a walk in shower which we got and the bathroom was roomy and very clean also. We were very happy with everything about the hotel, staff in all departments, food was good, and entertainment on 4 nights very good. All in all we had a fabulous 5 day holiday. We are a couple in our 70's and we had a great time.

Window overlooked the sea which was great although ear plugs needed for road noise. The halls definitely need a lick of paint. Very grubby. It's a hotel for an older clientele.
- Trail52543658473 (10/5): Brilliant - We went with friends to the prince Regent hotel for 5 Days with Daish holiday and had a brilliant time the food was good you had a choice of meals hotel was nice and clean as was the rooms the entertainment was hit and miss, the first night was great and the last night was great but inbetween could have have been better, we played Bingo every night. The staff were very friendly and so was the manager and Lee the Bar manager was brilliant we had a laugh every time we met so we will definitely be returning. Thank you
- David (10/5): - It was a lovely hotel I would definitely stay again. It was a last minute booking and I wasn't expecting much. I walked into room it had a huge double and a sea view and it was very clean. It was a very very reasonable price for 3 nights especially with a sea view which I wasn't expecting. I am moving to Weymouth and will definitely recomend it to any of my friends who are visiting. I really was impressed.
- Wanderer793223 (4/5): Not a pleasant experience!!!!!!!!!!!! - We had booked with Shearings for a 5 day break 18/22nd August.After a 'nightmare ' journey of 12 hours on a coach we arrived at the hotel and were given our keys,just in time for Dinner. The hotel is owned by the 'Daish' group.The restaurant which was full,and appeared to be 'short staffed'.We eventually received our complete dinner menu and then retired to our room-123 on the first floor as we were exhaustefrom our journey.. On reaching our room door I noticed several 'items' on the carpet that should have been collected by a 'vacuum' . The same inside our room carpet. One of the wooden windows overlooking the road/sea front was propped open by a large chunk of wood and could not be moved.All the windows were dirty inside with a cobweb or two. The interior walls neded a good wash down as they were noticebly grubby.The bathroom tiles needed a scrubbing as the grout was filthy in places. The sink and taps as well needed a proper clean.The hot water in the sink did not arrived so I complained to Reception.Later in the day the hot water appeared so I presumed it had been fixed.Don't think it had as it was just as bad until we finally departed the the hotel. It took 3 minutes for the hot water to come through( I timed it).What a waste of water!!!!!!!!!!!!! My matress worn as I could feel the metal springs on occsions in certain positions against my body. when in bed. The quilt cover did not smell 'fresh'. On the whole we were extremely disappointed with the standard of the accomodation.I appreciate Ledger/Shearings and their associates have problems and try to make a silk purse out of a sows ear but we will NOT be going with them again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Huzaif (4/5): May not come again. - Receptionist kept us waiting for about 40mins to check us in. Kept scanning our IDs again and again. Horrible experience. The toilet roll was just half. Car park at the back is very very tight. There is no exit until cars in the front are moved.

- nicolem872 (2/5): Horrendous! AVOID - We stayed at the Hotel Prince regent as a family of 4 on the 19th Aug 2025 for one night. On arrival we were checked in and told our room was on the 3rd floor. We were then handed a menu and told to chose breakfast and hand in before 9:30pm that evening. We weren’t told where to go to find our room or where breakfast was to be served the following morning. On arrival to our room (307) the first thing you noticed is how tired and under welcoming the room was. I appreciate it is a listed building but even the decorating was very poor standard. The beds were made with towels on top. The first thing you notice is behind the double bed that the head board is noticibly missing. There are finger prints on the light switches, marks on the wall (boogeys smeared) the carpet is dirty. The bathroom was tatty and rusty in places , hairs in the shower again marks on the wall the shower tray was dirty and marked. When we used the towels we noticed these were stained and had dark hair attached to them. I’m blonde so they weren’t my hair. When going down to breakfast the following morning the stairs and reception area was full of people queing to get in. We weren’t showed to a table just had to guess where our table was the floor was dirty ( must be from day before as only one breakfast sitting) it just felt very untidy and lacked any care from the staff. When we addressed our concerns to the reception lady she didn’t apologise just told us to contact the manager. The other Man sat at the reception ( possibly maintenance) just smirked at us, very disrespectful and very Unprofessional. No one had uniform on so you couldnt distinguish who was staff or who were guest and the staff behind the reception guests lack any information or knowledge of the hotel and weren’t welcoming. We paid £142.20 for the night and quite frankly felt that was a massive over charge as your hotel was disgusting. We weren’t the only guest moaning about rooms/ staff/ breakfast etc in the breakfast room. It seemed everyone had the same thoughts and were quite openly discussing it. Not that any staff could hear as they were no where to be seen! AVOID AT ALL COST ITS DISGUSTING
- Kt (6/5): - We enjoyed our short stay overall - the hotel is in an amazing seafront location with an easy walk to the town. Parking was also simple and safe. However, our room was in the basement with weak Wi-fi (we assumed we got put down there as we were a last-minute booking). We were also disappointed to find a used, stained towel in our shower upon arrival, which took some time to be replaced. I would recommend this hotel if you get a proper room.
- K2437PMalisons (2/5): Hotel from hell - The hotel from hell. We were on a shearings holiday. They sat me and my hubby by the door with Daish passengers. Why we haven't got a clue. The room was clean but dated. None of the staff spoke to us. We had to reorder our food. They could never remember what we ordered. The food was plastic. Bread rolls still same on at end of week like a brick. On the last day at breakfast. Everyone on our coach were getting served. I asked the waitress if we had been forgotten. She thought we were on the other coach. In the end they had to get more staff in. One night all the water glasses and jugs were filthy. Someone asked to see the manager and was told he wasn't on. Don't think we will be going back there.
- V7611KPgillianh (2/5): Prince regent hotel, DISRESPECTFUL HOTEL MANAGER - I was told that I could bring my mobility scooter as long as it had a dry sell battery and not lithium, when I arrived was told couldn't take scooter which as a dry sell battery in by one member of staff, then the duty manager said I could, after about 2hours of being there, the hotel manager said I could not keep my mobility scooter in the hotel nor charge the battery in the hotel and I could not walk the distance from where they wanted me to leave my scooter, which was 2 hotels down the street and outside under a shelter, he spoke nasty to me, made me feel worthless, and I felt I was discriminated due to my disability, SO PLEASE THINK TWICE ABOUT GOING TO (THE PRINCE REGENT HOTEL) ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING HOTEL MANAGER I ended up leaving the hotel, and I found a beautiful B&B

The room was lovely with a good view we paid extra for a Premier room which was well worth the extra cost. Entertainment was fair the staff were pleasant. The food wasn't of a good standard mostly over cooked and dried out.The drinks were reasonably priced. We would return to this hotel as for what we paid it was good value for money .

- Tricia612 (8/5): Good value in great location. - We visited the Prince Regent on a coach holiday. The hotel is opposite the beach and close to the town, train and bus station. It is a traditional hotel, slightly dated and in need of updating in some areas. Everywhere was clean and tidy and the staff a credit to the hotel. Meal times are fixed at 8.30 for breakfast and 6.30 for dinner and you have to order meals in advance. Wine can be ordered from the bar at a reasonable price. The food is basic, varied and served hot. The prawn and avocado salad was excellent, the fish and chips disappointing. We paid extra for a premium sea view room and it was well worth it. The room was large and the bathroom modern and spacious. If you are prepared to accept the lack of flexibility in meal times, for value you would struggle to beat it.

- Christopher (4/5): Staff are rude and breakfast sucks - Hotels very run down, mainly pensioners there that arrive on coaches, breakfast is poor not buffet you have to fill a slip saying what choices you want i never felt full up either day, they even forgot about us on our second morning and had put someone else on our table, the manager woman was pretty rude, didnt even apologise for this. She just said oh your here for two nights? we stood around while they had to prep a table for us. Then waited a long time foe our hot food they also wouldnt let my seven year old with sensory issues have a secnt croissant as he didnt like any of the hot food. Wouldnt go there again ever.

- E3567RDjohnm (4/5): Worst ever - Arrived at the hotel 1 case delivered to the room quickly, still missing one. After 25 mins went to reception they said still delivering. 5mins later I went down and spoke to guy delivering. He said they had delivered all to the 2nd floor. He went on a search of the other floors. Eventually found on the 4th floor Next day went to dinner at 6.30 notice on door saying now 7.00. Returned to room the fire alarm went off, we went down stairs told no problem. A few minutes later the alarm went again continously we went into reception area crowded with people. Nobody from the hotel seemed to be in charge, we went outside and went to the war memorial. We then heard somebody yell go to the war memorial and people started to cross the very busy dual carriageway, but again it was left to the guests to stop the traffic. At no point did anyone check names. After about 5mins another yell saying come back in. It appears there was a fire in the kitchen,my concern is nobody took charge of the situation. Their appeared to be a problem with staff numbers. Service in the dining area was terrible for our stay as was the quality of the food. Time waiting to be served very bad, at one point the people either side of us had eaten their main course and desert and were leaving we were still awaiting our main course. We suspect the problem was in the kitchen as our meals were all different. The waiter was very good but he had too many tables to attend. I have been on many Daish holidays but the service and food here was the worst ever. Other hotels in the group manage good qualty food and service. So were is the problem here?

- Gerda (10/5): Newly renovated seaview room perfect for 5 people - Got a family room (5people) with sea view which was freshly renovated clean and spacious. Newly furnished, new comfy mattresses large winfow facing the sea. Bathroom freshly renovated and modern with shower cubicle. The pictures in the listing were taken before renovation and doesn't do the justice. I was impressed with the room. Parking at the back of the property tight but available. Pool table, darts and evening entertainment in the basement. Pleasant stay just staff running around and hard to find in the reception. Perfect location

- Christine (2/5): - It’s probably one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in in all our holidays across the country and abroad .this was the view from our room and it was so run down our room was so un clean if you put your fingers on the was and dado rail you had black dust on you the window was held up by a piece of wood and they didn’t even open properly we had a small fan the room temperature was well over 30 degrees but not one window could open the floors were not mopped or hooved and the bathroom was not clean at all

- alisonaZ5604ZB (10/5): Great stay at The Prince Regent - I recently took a coach load of senior citizens for a 4 night break to The Prince Regent. The coach was punctual and very comfortable. We made good time and checked in quickly. Our luggage was taken to our rooms and we soon settled in. Some of the rooms are somewhat tired and dated but they are refurbishing a lot of rooms to a high standard. Our group always need a lot of single rooms and some of these only have access by stairs but I understand that part of the refurbishment plan is to make these rooms accessible by the lift. The restaurant provided a good choice of food for both breakfast and dinner and was good value for the price we paid. The service was usually fairly quick and the staff worked really hard. There was a good choice of drinks at the bar which were reasonably priced and service was always good. For me the most outstanding feature of the hotel was the staff. They would always go the extra mile. When we asked to run a tea dance in their beautiful ballroom one afternoon Carmel provided us with refreshments and we had a marvellous afternoon. Thank you to everyone there. We look forward to seeing the hotel when the refurbishment is finished.

- Percypig4eva (6/5): Overall a pretty decent stay - Came here self drive for 4 nights. We were on the first floor and builders were laying carpets and painting around us - not ideal ! That aside, for the money we paid we had a good stay. Comfortable beds and a decent shower. Food improved throughout our stay and the entertainment was really enjoyable. Just a few more waiting staff would make a real difference.

- janetr474 (8/5): My holiday - Nice hotel in a good location it’s a bit outdated like most of them we have stayed in but they are updating some rooms like most other hotels are Our room was large and clean . staff were friendly and helpful Entertainment was good and drink prices reasonable The only negative for me is the food and how the dining room is set up Many said they enjoyed the food but I think comparing it to other hotels I’ve stayed in it could be improved with a bit better food presentation and bit more catering budget
- P5126PQkathyd (8/5): Great location and value for money with great staff. - Went for my second family holiday to the Prince Regent. Love the location right opposite the beach and near the town. Our room was newly decorated with comfy beds. There was a good choice of food. The staff go above and beyond for all guests. Hotel has character and some of the rooms are being redecorated with new walk in shower being installed. I'm not sure how they do it for the price we paid £150 a night without breakfast in a similar beach front hotel two years ago in Brighton.
- Rpatmor (8/5): Good location - Just had a break with shearings at the prince regent, room 214 was very spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable, always plenty of hot water for a bath. All public spaces clean and redecorated, all of the staff from reception, bars and restaurant are excellent nothing to much trouble. All food served was hot and plenty of choice, hot and cold for breakfast,evening meal a choice of three starters, main had four choices and four deserts. It may looked like chaos from the servers but they have a system with 64 guests all at the same time someone will have to wait they do their best and it works well. All entertainment in the evening very good especially Elvis night. Hotel in a great place on the Esplanade a short walk to town center. Yes I would recommend this hotel
- knowlers (8/5): Great stay - Good hotel with nice large room, very clean with large comfortable bed and comfortable pillows. Room a little dated but the hotel were refurbishing some rooms on our floor. Lift was out of order but we were only on the first floor so that was fine. Very nice food and always hot. Staff were friendly and efficient. Very conveniently situated on the seafront with a bus stop outside too. Good entertainment in the evenings. All in all a great stay
- Liz (4/5): - The staff couldn't be more helpful. The hotel however, was run down, tired, falling apart. The carpet was thread bare on the stairs. Our room, the bathroom architrave was coming away from the wall. There was no mastic around the base of the toilet. The macerator absolutely stank of singed/burnt hair. The mattress on the big bed was so old and tired, you could feel the springs. The single beds were no better. The curtains were falling off and couldn't close them completely. Then, I was woken up at 06:30 with very loud banging (construction work was happening the night before inside the hotel) not sure if it was the hotel or another guest. The only other positive was the bar was reasonably priced.
- cn2disco (6/5): Hotel Prince Regent Weymouth - The reception and bar staff are brilliant..the housekeeping staff leave a lot to be desired. The restaurant staff have no idea of how to do things like clearing tables and carrying plates of food. Breakfast one day was a hit n miss affair, we sat down at 8.30am had a our cereals and had to wait till 9.30 for our cooked breakfast then we had to hurry as we were going put that morning..terrible service they are short staffed so why not get extra staff in or ones that know how to work in a busy dining room with 2 /3 coach loads to cater for. One member of our group had her bags rifled with a nd one bag cut open in her room whilst we were out on a trip....NOT Great . On the plus side, the hotel is well situated and the weather was fantastic , although very windy, very good for Mid March

The only problem was the dining room very slow service and we had 7 different waiters for 8 meals very unorganised it was chaos but when the food was ok but a bit on the small side compared to the other hotels. We will still book this has not put us off.

Food was small portions not always hot they ran out of butter one morning however accommodating on breakfast if you wanted another choice. Found the staff ok and helpful The bed room was sea view but very drafty windows. It needed a comfy chair to sit in. The lounge area was at the back of the hotel so no nice seating area on the front of the hotel.

- sarahjallen36 (4/5): Poor food and service - Disappointed with my visit the food was disappointing breakfast was not good had the full English the 4 mornings I was there the fried egg was like rubber so i tried a poached egg the next day it was like a boiled egg also undercooked sausage the evening meals weren't much better I know its a cheap holiday but I expect the food to be edible the main gripe is there isn't enough waiting staff and they are rushed off there feet come on Daishs you can do better than this.
- 136karent (6/5): Need training - I will start my review with the bad bits. Firstly most of the staff are very rude, your lucky to get a smile never mind a morning or evening. The waitress on our second day practically through my sister's porridge on the table, we had to refill our sugar each mealtime because they were not refilled beforehand. We never got a teaspoon the whole holiday so was using the spare cutlery on our table, the reason we didn't bother asking for them was because they really didn't know what they were doing so no organisation at all. I would say the staff need alot of training in the small restaurant which is where we were and on the final day after being told to be at breakfast for 8am we wasn't served untill 8.35. The good bits, our room was lovely, very bright and spacious. The housekeeping were lovely, very helpful and very cheerful when we see them. The evening entertainment was fantastic such a great variety of music which was great. The food was good and I have to say the young lad who was our waiter for 2 days was brilliant, he was so attentive, asking if everything was ok and very polite with a lovely welcome. We wouldn't recommend this hotel but will be enjoying the other daishs hotels.

Not enough staff what so ever ..and therefore it makes people complain .. What do people expect when they pay £88 for 4 nite stay half board and I paid terrible and didn't complain .

- philippa (4/5): - Room tired but clean. Bed clean and comfortable. Water hot. Only saw first floor and paper peeling off corridors and bedroom walls... Staff mostly helpful but given room key and no other information about hotel facilities or breakfast procedure....until we asked later on... Restaurant 3 couse set meal or nothing...so no choice. No information folder in room...no shower gel in dispencer...no plastic cups or bottled water in room....breakfast times changed depending on coach parties departures...on arrival one bar closed and coffee shop closed for 2 days... Toni on breakfasts was extra helpful and friendly...she was brill....
- Sarah (8/5): - Lovely hotel on the seafront. Room was very spacious but quite dated. The room was clean but there were some spots that could have been cleaner. My only concern was that another guest managed to get into our room with the key to her room which was a bit worrying, as I assumed the keys were just for the room you were in. Pillows were a bit too hard for my preference. Overall though, I think I would stay here again as it’s very handy for all the town centre and the beach.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This hotel desperately needs serious investment. Everywhere you look you find chipped paint, scuffed stained surfaces and chipped tiles. The bathroom in our room was disgusting - we couldn't face using it for a shower. On the flip side the staff were very friendly and helpful.

- Sherine (4/5): - Dear Hotels.com, First of all, I would like to direct this message directly to hotels.com and not Hotel prince regent, as you know Hotel prince regent did give me a refund for misleading information by Hotels.com. As you can see on the booking, it does not state continental breakfast. It clearly only says breakfast included. I have never seen any website saying cooked and uncooked breakfast??? As you said in the email below, the money was refunded however you failed to see the point. I booked this holiday back in April to bring my mum who was in her old age. I didn't book this holiday and travel 4 hours by car to get a refund. Am I stupid to go all the way to Weymouth to get a refund? I brought my mum who was 76 and it was huge disappointment to her. You think once you refunded 30 pounds the problem is resolved. It is not about the money but disappointment, dissatisfaction and misleading information posted on Hotels.com website. It is very deceiving information. The hotel receptionist told me many customers who booked vis hotels.com were disappointed when they came to check-in. So, I am not the only victim but many others too. I want you to remove this misleading information as soon as possible from the website and do not do this to your customers again. Sherine Joseph
