- Wayne (10/5): Charming bnb in an ancient villa. - Wonderful old family residence turned into a charming bnb. Great location walking distance from Urbino. Alexandra was charming and went out of her way to set up our sheets and towels for allergies. Much appreciated. She also very kindly made dinner reservations at two lovely restaurants. We had a wonderful time.

- Nicla (7/5): Ottimo soggiorno, da suggerire come location!!
- Renne (10/5): Urbino is a historical hilltop town in the heart of Marche. There are many museums and good restaura - Our stay for two nights was super! The host, Alessandra, is exceptional, with a big smile and hospitality. She is one of the best hosts we've ever met. Villa La'Cavalle has a fascinating history, and we were also happy to meet her charming mom and grandfather. They all gave a living perspective. The breakfast was full of delicacies, which made a good start to the day. You did so well that it's hard to do better! - Thank you!
- Patrick (9/5): - Impressive family home in the countryside (a car is required) offering a nice view on the city from the opposing hill and a large living room.
Excellent breakfast, more sweety than savoury.
The bathroom is nicely decorated; comfortable beds but small table to use a laptop. The bathroom is quite small and the shower is not practical for anyone over 170cm.
- Alessandro (10/5): - Posizione fantastica... Colazione da sogno... Alessandra una persona eccezionale: gentilissima, cortese e simpaticissima!!! Niente

- David (10/5): Fantastic stay in a bueatiful house - A wonderful room, in a beautiful old country house, everything was just perfect: the room, the views from the 2 windows, the proximity to Urbino (we even walked one day for half an hour, but in other times, used the car), and our fantastic host: Alessandra, full of smiles and good spirit, who served a delicious and beautifully arranged breakfast in the garden with the views of the green hills with Urbino at the top in front of us.
- Natalie (10/5): - What a beautiful house and a lovely host Alessandra who has made her grandparents’ house a truly special place for guests. The bountiful breakfast served in the garden overlooking Urbino was delicious. Thank you Alessandra (and family) for your warm, joyful and generous welcome. Nothing!
- Mario (6/5): B&B dallo stile storico, consigliato con riserva. - Location curata e storica.
Colazione abbondante e molto buona.
- Karl Kusters (10/5): Romantic place with magnificent view from the garden on Urbino - We had a lovely time in Urbino and it started every day with a superb breakfast in the beautiful garden of Ca'Lavalle B&B with magnificent view on Urbino. Alessandra is really a great host. And every evening we enjoyed coffee/tea in the lounge of this 15th century home (but you can also enjoy wine from the small fridge in this room). It is only 5 minutes by car to Piazza Mercatale where you can park your car and walk into the old town via Porta Valbona. We have had better beds before.
- barbara (9/5): -
Luogo incantevole e molto rilassante.
Da non perdere!!! Letto non comodissimo
- Eve (10/5): - It's a beautiful old country house with fabulous views across to Urbino which you can enjoy while having breakfast in the garden. My room was lovely and comfortable. Alessandra is lovely, very hospitable. I enjoyed the little menagerie of Simba (the little dog) and two cats. It's a five minute drive down to the city or a half-hour walk. A lovely and peaceful location. AQA Nothing.
- Gerd (9/5): Embedded in nature - visiting Urbino - There is just word to describe the location: magic
- James (10/5): - Location is wonderful, best view point of the city to enjoy the classical beauty of the Urbino. The host Alessandra is the best, her smile, her special attention on all guests had made our stay memorable. Wonderful breakfast option and garden spot. Highly recommended!
- Tadej (10/5): A magical place to relax and explore Urbino - Staying in a beautiful Renaissance-era villa has its own special charm. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and the large common area looked like a castle hall. The highlight, however, was the stunning view of Urbino, proudly sitting on the nearby hill – best enjoyed in the evening while relaxing in the outdoor hot tub or in the morning over a generous breakfast. Urbino is about 2 km away, but easily reachable by bike or on foot. Our host Alessandra was very kind and gave us some great tips for exploring the area by bike. Although we stayed only two days, we managed to see quite a bit of the surroundings – and Urbino itself is simply beautiful.
We’re already looking forward to coming back someday.
- Yusuf (10/5): Exceptional - The house is beautiful and has a rich history, directly linked to the history of Urbino itself. Allessandra is a wonderful host, and we had a faultless stay. Nothing.
- Lukas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marc (8/5): Very good - Authentiek Bed was weinig comfortabel
- Marion (10/5): A lovely experience. - Alessandra and her family gave us a really warm welcome. They have a stunning old house overlooking the countryside outside Urbino, a fascinating and beautiful medieval town. We had a delicious breakfast in the garden.
- Royal (10/5): Wonderful host, beautiful historic property, stunning views of Urbino across the valley. - Excellent breakfast with tea and coffee available throughout the day.
- Fernando (9/5): Hosts were great. Property great for a quiet weekend as a couple. - Alessandra and her mother were super accomodating and welcoming. Perfect communication always with a smile. Amazing breakfast. Room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Great weekend stay. Close enough to get to Urbino historical centre walking. Bathroom could be a bit larger.
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional - This is my second time visiting Ca’Lavalle and I absolutely love the house, the accommodations, the family who runs it, the view of Urbino. A lovely spot!!!
- Marcin (9/5): Superb - A very good place to stay for a few days in a beautiful landscape and close to a cultural town with art treasures. The old house and its friendly owner create a sound base for sightseeing. None.
- Anne (10/5): We had a very pleasant stay! Grazie mille! - We loved our stay. Our room was very comfortable. Our hostess made sure our two nights were very pleasant. The location was convenient to Urbino.
- Stephanie (10/5): A great few days near Urbino! - Beautiful location in an historic villa- spotlessly clean and comfortable with large communal room for sharing a cup of coffee or a drink Nothing not to like
- Boris (10/5): Exceptional - Accommodation fantastic, the mansion is an outstanding cultural and historical facility, the staff friendly and the view at breakfast is magical. A great starting point for seeing the whole of Umbria.
- Pawel (10/5): Exceptional - An incredible B&B in a historic building. A stay in this place is an unforgettable experience. A very friendly host, beautiful rooms, a perfect breakfast served outdoors with a stunning view of Urbino. It cannot be better.
- Elena (10/5): Exceptional - Alexandra is an amazing host!
Very friendly, very helpful!
House is located across the old city( 5 min to drive), but for us, it was an advantage: a quiet, rural atmosphere, beautiful views on the ancient city, and no problem with parking!
Breakfast is setting up in a beautifully decorated dining room.
Cleanness everywhere!
It was pleasant to feel care and respect about guests from the host.
Many nice details you will find in this place.
So, we are so happy that we chose this bb !
- Nadejda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (9/5): Ca’Lavalle is an excellent alternative to staying inside the city walls. - Delicious breakfast in the garden with beautiful view across the valley to Urbino. Very peaceful at night. Elegantly decorated rooms upstairs, including a shared dining room with tea, coffee and wine. Ale is a friendly host who speaks English. We parked our car free of charge just outside the house. We knew we had booked a room with separate private bathroom, but this was not close to our bedroom. However, our room was large. The hot water in the shower was erratic. We found the bed frame too springy.
- Thomas (9/5): Superb - The location is stunning, the house and rooms are charming, the hosts friendly, welcoming and helpful. N/a
- Petra (10/5): A beautiful, peaceful place to stay with a view of Urbino - The breakfast was fabulous outside on the terrace with a lovely view. Alessandra went above and beyond making restaurant reservations. The decor was charming, the room was spacious and beautifully decorated.
- David (10/5): Highly recommended. One of the best. - We have stayed in many places whilst touring Europe by car and this would have to be one of the best. Everything is first class from accommodation, breakfast and excellent hosts to say nothing of the view.
Given the chance we would certainly stay here again. Very highly recommended. Nothing to dislike.
- Katja (9/5): Superb - It’s a beautiful country house in a peaceful location. Vety nice breakfast. We didn’t have hot water in the shower. It wasn’t a very big problem because we stayed only for 2 days.
- Joanne (9/5): Superb - Breakfast was outside with a view of the old town of Urbino. Plentiful and lovely place settings. Alexandra is a very gracious hostess. The bathroom needs a light over the sink for shaving.
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was just perfect !!
- Martina (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): Great. This was our second time and we'd go back like a shot. - Great location within half an hour's walk of Urbino. House beautifully decorated and deliciously cool. Excellent breakfast with a super view of Urbino. Bonus: Alessandra and her Mum were great hosts.
- Michelle (10/5): Stunning! - An amazing house in a stunning setting. Beautiful rooms and delicious breakfast. Alessandra and Franca were perfect hosts. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Thank you
- Barbara (10/5): You will love it here! - We could not have asked for a lovelier place to stay in Urbino! Alessandro and family are wonderful and the room and home were amazing to stay in. So much history and so many kindnesses. The breakfast looking out on the view of Urbino was incredible! The walk into Urbino is fine—honestly, so much better than wrangling parking. It was ALL good!
- Tamara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Benito (9/5): Superb -
- Martin (10/5): Superbly characterful old house in a wonderful location - The old house is wonderfully characterful and in a superb peaceful location looking across to the old city. Alessandra and her mother serve superb breakfasts in the garden while you look at the view and listen to the birdsong. Urbino is one of the most atmospheric of Italy's old towns, and I found Ca'Lavalle an excellent base for a week exploring the country and sights of the Marche. Alessandra was unfailingly warm, friendly and helpful. It was very hard to leave... Everything was perfect
- Mia (9/5): Exquisite property near Urbino truly reflective of old Italian style - Wonderful breakfast on the terrace facing Urbino—different foods every morning, and the hostess Alessandra went out of her way to get us interesting pastries.
- Elton (10/5): Exceptional - Everything is perfect and I had a great time!
- Pauline (9/5): Superb - Staff is very kind and welcoming :)
The breakfast was amazing!
- Ayşe (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect
- Kurt (9/5): Superb -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - I wonder if there is a better small hotel than Ca'Lavalle. Perhaos there is, but only in fiction or on film. A stay at this location unlocks superlatives about the atmosphere, its spaciousness, the house and its decoration, the quiet, the garden, conversation with fellow guests, the terrace, the pets - but above all about Alessandra, her mother and their colleagues for their attentiveness, kindness and generosity. The city is a 10 min walk away; there are wonderful views from the hotel terrace. There were no negatives.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - The lovely old home, large rooms, antique furniture, quiet, and the especially warm hospitality of Alessandra and her mother. Breakfast was delicious. Nothing we disliked.
- Christophe (10/5): Feels like a palazzo. - Beautiful house with view on the city. Perfect location for a visit to Urbino. The house feels like a palace. Excellent and copious breakfast. Very friendly host helped to book an excellent restaurant. You can walk from the house to the city. When walking back to the house there is a short stretch of road without lighting, so bring a flashlight for safety.
- Julia (10/5): The hosts were welcoming and delightful and it was amazing to stay in such a historic and beautiful place. - A stunning location across the hill from Urbino but only a short drive or an energetic walk.
- Joan (10/5): Exceptional - Alessandra is a warm and accomodating inn-keeper.
Breakfast in the garden, looking out over the valley to Urbino, was a delight
- Theodor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hans-jürgen (10/5): An outstanding nice place to explore Urbino and to enjoy. - It was an outstanding, fascinating stay in CaLavalle. We recommend this place all people who want to experience a romantic and unconvetionell accomodation. Wake up in the morning and enjoy the beautiful sight to Urbino during a lovely prepared breakfast. Unique!
Have a look at the tradintionell furniture and design of the lovely house. Enjoy again.
Thanks to Alessandra and her Mom, who were friendly and funny all the time. no idea to that issue
- Jim (10/5): romantische authentieke villa - Ons verblijf was zeer prettig. De villa was romantisch, sfeervol en prachtig ingericht. Moderne faciliteiten, heerlijk, uitgebreid ontbijt en zeer vriendelijke en persoonlijke ontvangst. Urbino is op loopafstand te bezoeken (20 min.). Een onvergetelijke ervaring.
