• Steve (2/5): Stay Inn and Hotel.com - Having made the Reservation and paid 11 months ago, 65 minutes before I was due to check in to the property Stay Inn called me and said I couldn’t stay at the apartment and cut me off. I was on a train with no WIFi and a bad 4G signal. I got no help from Stay Inn nor Hotel.com ( whom are impossible to contact) I had to source my own alternative accommodation in the Greenwich area on London Marathon weekend so that I could attend my son’s wedding in Greenwich the next day. So I had to pay a premium price for inferior surroundings in Deptford , incurring extra travel costs. Either:(a) Stay Inn realised they could extract more money from someone else as it was Marathon weekend or (b) the accommodation doesn’t actually exist and they just borrowed £££'s off me for 11 months. Not had money back yet
• Neil (2/5): Staying -Stayaway would be more appropriate!!! - No communication from property had to chase them constant calls Then day before checking was asked to provide raft of ID paperwork and security deports onto a website that continued to crash 4 hrs before checking still no instructions had to call again only to be told the property had a maint issue and we would have to move location New location was 35 mins away and 99 in a taxi . Had to cancel x5 parking reservation s I refundable same day and book new ones at a cost of £248 on top of that then had to pay a further99.97 to gat to the venue which was originally in walking distance. Still haven’t revived deposit back and property say not their problem . Don’t use these fraudulent morons! I’m now beginning legal action! Repeat don’t use this company they are out to screw you !

• Verified traveler (2/5): Beware! - My booking was cancelled by phone as i was on my way to the train station to travel to London. The reason given was accounting issues. I wish I'd read the reviews more closely as this seems to be a common occurrence. I had to book a last minute hotel room at double the cost!

• Abigail (10/5): Much better than what reviews suggest - We stayed here as it was a walkable location to the o2, so perfect if you have an event to go to there. 5 girls so it was a great property where we could all get ready together. Some of the decor (floor trims are questionable) and the bedrooms are very bright. Downstairs back door didn’t open. It was otherwise a good stay

• Penelope (4/5): Could do with a refresh - No privacy in main bedroom due to 14 slats missing from the blinds; electric point in main bedroom wouldn’t take a UK plug, and in living room heating up the plug; both beds lumpy and uncomfortable.
• Robert (4/5): - The booking and check-in process was inordinately shadowy and veiled, with instructions only provided moments before the check-in time. They were also near non-responsive to maintenance issues that left us without hot water for almost 3 full days and an inoperative washer/dryer. An unfortunate situation as the desirable design and location were overshadowed by their lackluster approach to 1.) guest concerns re being informed and 2.) functioning amenities.
• Rachel (2/5): DO NOT BOOK IF YOU WANT A SPECIFIC LOCATION! - After reading the reviews, I thought I’d take a chance as some were fine. We knew we had to pay a large damage deposit and there was no check in desk but we wanted somewhere close to the O2 for a concert. When we arrived at our destination I rang as instructed and was sent the email to pay the deposit. I immediately rang them back, after transferring the sum, to check in and was told (after trying several times to get through and being cut off) that there was a problem with the accommodation and I was being ‘upgraded’ to the Aldgate apartments. I tried to explain that this was completely unsuitable for our needs as it was 4 miles north west of where we wanted to be and a 30 minute taxi ride away but they were adamant that I had to accept it. I told them no and insisted I wanted to cancel and get a refund instead. I was told that if I went on the Hotels.com website I’d be able to do this. Initially I was unable to cancel as the booking was already supposedly in progress. Eventually, after 2 days, I managed to get through to a live agent who was really helpful and managed to get me a refund. The whole situation was at the time, and has since been, extremely stressful and costly as my new accommodation in London was considerably more. I doubt Stay Inn even have rooms in Greenwich or they totally overbook knowing people will ignore the reviews to get an apartment close to the venue and are then obliged to move location having no other choice. Be warned!

• Laura (6/5): It's just ok - The stay was ok, the property is ok, it's just the long winded check in process that is really anoying. It is really close to the O2 arena so the location is great if you are going for a gig or event. It doesn't have parking so we just parked by Radisson Red around the corner on the road, it's free. I was a bit worried after reading the horrible reviews, but it was absolutely fine. The communication with customer service was ok, they got back to us fast enough by email and they were helpful over the phone as well. If you are very fussy or expect mega luxury then don't stay here. Otherwise it's ok for a short stay.

Cleaning lady banged on door before 10am again rude and aggressive. Snatch key out of my hand.place was dirty and no hot water ! • Eleanor McGregor (2/5): UNSAFE - SCAM - AVOID - This place is a scam. The boiler wasn’t working so we were freezing cold all night and couldn’t wash in the morning. Tried to call them several times with no answer. They said in the morning that I didn’t try to contact (I have proof I did) It’s unsafe to stay at this apartment
• Michelle (4/5): - No wine glasses, just 2 half pint glasses and two pint glasses, couldn’t get out the back door to let in any air as it got very hot, bedroom on left could not open the curtains as there was no handle, same bedroom the bed was sloping quite bad and very unstable, shower in both showers were awful water coming out every direction and no force in the water at all, upstairs bathroom toilet holder was broken, broken bracelet and popped balloon left on the floor from the previous people, which I picked up myself and put in bin. Back garden looked a mess stinging nettles everywhere and gate open but couldn’t get out the back door to shut it as there was no key. Shower was dirty on the glass door in the en-suite.
• Jacqueline (10/5): Just perfect for our visit to the 02 - Easy to access, warm, safe and sizeable. Perfect for a group or large family accessible to 02 or Greenwich. Crown pub up the road is great for refreshments, a pint and some nibbles
• GPA (4/5): Not the best value in our experience - We turned up at the property with no issues, good communication about the check in process etc but when we went into the apartment, it hadn’t been cleaned since the last guest left. I spoke with a very helpful customer services rep from Hotels.com who was also trying to contact the property who advised I keep trying to contact them myself…After an hour on hold trying to get hold of customer services they kept asking to send photos of proof before any action was taken. I insisted that I’m not doing this for fun, the photos had already been emailed 10 minutes prior and after that we were moved to another apartment. The next apartment was fine but the whole rigmarole was more stressful than it needed to be due to the time it took to get hold of someone. But there was some housekeeping issues in the replacement apartment. Incredibly limescaley shower and only one bath towel for a 2 bed apartment, but there were 6+ hand towels. Ultimately, potentially we just had a really bad experience. The value is there if the money was being split between people etc. The location was handy for O2 which is where we needed to be for the evening. I may stay there again if I had to go to a gig but I wouldn’t rush back after all that faff.
• Michael (2/5): Awful, they cancel bookings at the last minute. - Awful experience. I have travelled all around the world and this is the first time I have ever experienced a hidden policy of 'no under 25s'. To check in you need to provide Identification which I had done, however to my surprise the booking was cancelled whilst I was standing outside of the property ready to check in! It was 3 adults booked to stay, 42 years old, 27 and 24. Because of the 24 year old the booking was cancelled. I was completely shocked, i've never seen this in all of the hotels and apartments I have stayed in across the world. No alternative options were offered and hotels.com are still trying to charge for the property even though I didn't stay there! I hope this happens to nobody else. Book with caution.
• Jonathan (2/5): - I would like a full refund the apartment was not up to standard the check in process was horrendous the apartment smelt funny which I raised with Ahmed the place was dusty the ba was dirty especially the toilet seat the lights didn’t work properly and kept flickering like a strobe light and my partner is epileptic so with that we had to leave I’d stayed there under 2 hours before checking out which Ahmed can confirm here is a video of the light

• Victoria (10/5): Great stay - We had a great stay and were pleasantly surprised on arrival after reading the reviews. The apartment was clean and tidy with fresh towels, bedding and complimentary tea and coffee. It was the perfect base for a trip to the o2 arena to see a show. Follow the emails you receive on booking.
• Anne (2/5): Just don't - BEWARE! Their are three additional steps to complete after paying the non-refundable fees. They require to you to send personal data through a third party download/link and then they require you to provide credit card or banking information again, through a third party to charge a deposit that will be taken out and not returned until up to 15 days after your stay. Lots of broken fixtures, bad smell, didn't feel clean. The TV was going in and out. We were rushed to get out at 10am. Wish we would have just stayed at a nice hotel for that price.

• J (4/5): Clean with Poor maintenance and Service - Firstly the apartment was basic and clear. However, this is the only positive. Cracked window, broken missing blinds, faulty applicances and air circulation system, faulty shower, broken cables to name just a selection. The apartment is unsuitable for practical usage with little or no plates, cutlery no tea, coffee or milk with the hygiene of the remaining items questionable. In summary I expect much much more from a appart-hotel and see this as nothing more than a way to make money from what appears to resemble a repo apartment block in East London. Strongly recommend against booking here.

• Ruth (4/5): - Judging by the photos the property itself looks lovely, but as the service and support (or lack of) that I've received has been poor to say the least. I had to cancel my travel plans as the event I was supposed to attend was unfortunately cancelled due to ill-health circumstances. I cancelled them around 8 weeks in advance to request to rearrange - not cancel - and after three separate attempts to get a response I was told to get in touch with Expedia, as the representative didn't believe the advice I'd previously been given by the agent. I sent proof of this advice, but didn't receive any further reply, and is it's now gone beyond the date I was supposed to travel I presume the level of help they will offer is now non-existent.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - The place felt & looked clean and overall was comfortable. However, there were several cosmetic issues and the bedroom smelled a bit musty and not fresh. When using Uber, the address did not deliver the car service to the accurate location and was a couple blocks away. I am not sure I would stay again for a short stay, as communication was a little difficult. There is not a lobby and no one onsite. When I called customer service at 9AM, it said the office was closed. I had to be directed to a security department and all they could tell me was to wait for an email. The email correspondence was not ideal. The information to get into the apartment was delivered by a different addresses for different information. The check-in process was also slightly cumbersome due to it being entirely electronic. In the bathroom, you could hear a noise that sounded much like a hand dryer. I was repeatedly turning on and off; it seemed to be coming from a different room perhaps the floor above. The noise was constantly occurring and could be heard from the hallway and bedroom. There was no coffee provided. This was a listed amenity.
• Vijay (4/5): Blackwall stay - Strict processes were defined by Stay Inn around uploading identification and paying deposit prior to stay. However up to the day of stay, Stay Inn had not referenced ID, despite uploading three times due to secure link expiry, or requested a deposit. Communication with Stay Inn was inconsistent, having numerous unanswered calls after long wait times to progress a booking where the hosts should be driving custom with the client. The apartment although clean had broken shutters, streaming in light at 4am. Broken wardrobe, no shower door or lock on bathroom.

• Harmony (4/5): Unwelcome stay inn - Property had things broken and damaged lots of improvements to be made on communication and warnings on extra things the property will require not left to last minute when all you want to do is get on with a relaxing journey knowing all sorted and not being told clear information on when your deposit will be returned being left until last minute on being able to enter the property over all poor experience and will rather pay extra for hotels next time
• Alison (10/5): Thumbs up 👍 - I stayed with my two grown up daughters for 3 nights in a duplex , very clean everywhere , beds were comfortable. Toaster didn’t work but was replaced immediately with a brand new one when I mentioned it . Definitely would stay again , location perfect to get to river by foot , bus stop right outside to go further afield . Highly recommend 😊

• John (2/5): - Day before arrival no communication from hosts and so after messaging the “hotel“ and no response, we phoned and whilst the gentleman re-sent an email as the original had gone to junk (fair enough these things happen), he couldn’t get us off the phone quick enough!On arriving in London, and having dealt with the identification and deposit procedure, no email for check in was received, and at 3 pm (when check in was meant to happen) we started to panic. We did arrive at the accommodation just before 4pm and it was raining heavily. We started to fear the worst, and phoned the hosts only to be on hold and then having to leave a voicemail message. No one phoned back and we tried again and did get someone. Understandably we were panicked, wet and most unhappy at the lack of communication. The individual was not helpful but did send the email to at least let us get into the property but abruptly hung up when we did start to complain about the lack of communication. Once we were in the room we noticed a crack in the balcony window and the door was unlocked. There was no key about and as the apartment balcony was only around 20 feet up and on a main road which is next to a wall, clearly there was a security issue.Phoned hosts, asked us to send on a picture of the cracked window pane & suggested that we simply push the door handle up & that would stop door being opened from the outside, wrong & on phoning back, they would send someone round to fix, no one arrived, we didn’t sleep!

• Edward (8/5): Poorly kept, bad sound-proofing - The flat was scruffy, with paint scuff-marked throughout, damage to plater and paint, woodwork damaged, etc. The balcony area was littered with smoking waste, laughing gas cylinders, and water bottles. Late at night, the neighbouring flats were noisy, and sound proofing was poor enough that I couldn't sleep through it. I will not be using this location again.
• Christopher (2/5): - Good Morning, I am writing to express my disappointment with the service and apartment provided. Please see a list of faults within the property. On arrival there was decorations from a previous visitors, there had clearly been some sort of party/gathering in the property hence the balloons on the balcony and confetti within the property. Given the current pandemic this makes me question the cleaning and hygiene standards within the property. Further to this, when trying to hoover up the left over confetti, when plugging in the hoover provided. The hoover made a loud suction noise, with a burning smell, with no suction action. Due to this we then had to use a dustpan to do it by hand. In which my partner did not appreciate as it took away from her birthday celebration. As well as this, on top of the property faults and breakages I am sure you are already aware of, from last night (28/11) there seemed to be no heating or hot water within the property, resulting in an early night for us both. Again this morning, we have woken to no hot water or heating. Meaning, we could not wash out hands or ourselves properly. Which is unacceptable in the middle of a winter pandemic. On top of this, the temperatures outside were cold and this was reflected in the property with lack of heating. Resulting in us having to use both duvets. Overall, I am very disappointed. Given the large deposit that I have been made to pay, I do not believe the standard of the property reflects this.
• Stephen (10/5): Stay-Inn business trip accommodation. - Kettle leaked, kitchen supplies minimal, and bedroom light not working. Otherwise, excellent, super clean, easy to access and very conveniently located.

I paid by pay pal and therefore couldn’t present the card at check in and I booked it in my partners name not realising the significance of the lead traveler. This wS anxiety provoking , however the system in practice was very fluid and smooth. The apartment location was very good, the details of transport and general info was great.
• Hollie (8/5): Still waiting 3 weeks for security deposit - Apartment was in a good location. Easy to find. Check in process is a bit long winded. Lots of emails back and forth. Could be shortened. Was clean enough but the glass extraction fan over the cooker was really dusty. Someone had even written 'wash me' with the dust before I had arrived. Waiting on my security deposit being paid back to me. Been over 3 weeks and it's meant to be 15 days. It's a lot of money to hand over and not get back promptly. It puts me off staying again but other than that it was OK.
• Mujahid (8/5): Good Cheap Option - I've stayed here a few times in the past and never really had any issues. Good price in a decent location. Especially for 2 bedroom apartments. Only thing i will say is that the apartments could do with some TLC and Referb. New mattresses, Deep clean on carpets, fixing minor damages here and there, new paint on all the walls. Nothing that will ruin your stay but noticeable if you are picky.

WHILST IN MID CONVERSATION SHE HANGED UP THE PHONE AND BARRED MY NUMBER FROM CALLING THEM SO I HAD TO USE ANOTHER NUMBER TO GET IN TOUCH AND WHEN I ASKED FOR ANOTHER STAFF MEMBERS NAME THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME THEIR NAME AND ASKED AM I THE POLICE. WHAT TYPE OF SERVICE IS THIS ? They have weird policy’s in place you need to send your id’s and bank card over prior to the check in. I have stayed in plenty of apartments/hotels and never had this procedure in place. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS APPARTMENT TO ANYONE. YOU ARE BETTER OF PAYIMG A LITTLE EXTRA ELSEWHERE TO SAVE THE HEADACHE AND GREIF. MESSAGE TO MANAGEMENT : train your staff to provide good customer service

• Lara (2/5): Does Hotels.com user name must be your real name? - The hotel is clamming that my reference name (sign up name on Hotels.com which is my English name) is not the same as my real name on the credit and photo ID I provide. Therefore I was not able to check in at all. As a result, I use other platform to book another hotel in order to stay overnight in London safely.
• Verified traveler (6/5): - Getting into the property was problematic, with late instruction on how to obtain entry. The property on entry was clean. But noticed stains on the carpets in the bedroom. Mattress needed renewing as the springs were sticking in your back. The distance from the O2 was spot on.
• Verified traveler (6/5): - There was no fob on the key ring so we had to use the code each time we entered the apartment. The apartment smelt really horrible. We had to open all the windows to try to get rid of the smell. There was only one glass for champagne and one decent glass for soft drinks but it’s a two bed apartment so you need to provide more equipment.

No parking anywhere near the place and the furniture was tired cigarette burnt sofa, stained chair the actual apartment was good other than being let down by these things and the furniture was not high quality so there is no reason it would be like that as if I had burnt the sofa I would not expect my security deposit back and I would expect the owner to buy a new one and charge me.
• David (6/5): Ok but nothing more - Good location for local shops and walking distance to Greenwich. Place felt uncared for...broken items not repaired, dirty settee (I had to turn the cushion covers inside-out). Carpet dirty in the bedroom.
• steve (10/5): - I would highly recommend staying at the 02 arena apartments instead of a hotel as it gives you the freedom you don’t get in a hotel. The apartment is very clean and comfortable and is an ideal location if you are going to watch a show at the 02 as it is only a short walk away.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - Property was very nice and clean and well located for a visit to the O2 being a short bus ride away and Greenwich was walkable. The issue we had was with access. We had no communication from Expedia about this. I remember reading a review about difficulty with access, so we contacted with some difficulty Excel apartments a week before who said we neede to send passport ID of which we did. Excel did not confirm receipt but said that access arrangements would be sent the day before or on the day. I rang Excel apartments the day before and the morning of entry into the apartments without success. I eventually was able to make contact by phone at lunchtime and was told that they had not received our ID (they found this when I queried this) but said they needed the deposit, which I had to send them whilst in the street. Access details were provided early afternoon and from then on all was well. But it too stressful to not know how we were going to get into the apartment till 2 hours before and not be able to make contact until lunchtime. The apartment was fine but was spoiled by this agrovation
• Verified traveler (6/5): Not as good as the photos... - Apartment was dirty with stains everywhere and paint chipping. The management company made it very clear no parties were allowed but it was very obvious that the apartment is only used for pre & post celebrations of those going to shows at the o2. Management was very clear however with check in instructions and that was great. The apartment had no air circulation and was pretty hot the entire time. Definitely worth spending a little extra for a hotel next time.

• Peter (8/5): Fucntional - Location good and walked to O2 and North Greenwich tube in about 20mins. Property a little tired but functional and clean. Would use again. Room says for 3 and there's a sofa bed and a foldaway - foldaway in our room had busted slats. Wifi worked fine.

• emma (8/5): Nice apartment - Nice apartment, self service email didn't arrive until I chased at 2.45 and check in is technically 2. As long as you send all the required information before hand its quite straight forward.
