L'appartement est très propre, malgré qu'il soit un peu petit, il est parfaitement agencé et tout l'équipement est présent pour un séjour agréable. Le plus de cet appartement est sa localisation, au pied de la Porte d'Or et le quartier historique, tous les centres d'intérêts accessibles à pied en quelques minutes, un must !. nous avons passé un excellent séjour et sans hésiter nous reviendrons voir Sinisa et Vladimira. Rien !

• Shaheera (7/5): Great location - The location was right in the center of the oldtown. Everything at walking distance. The place is completely safe and walkable at any time. Good option for solo travellers. There are many Pizza restaurants around the place. Some bakeries are also location near for quicl bite. The room was on third floor with very difficult wooden stairs to go up and down. I travelled during easter holidays like other countries they also had public holidays and most of the places were closed. The only option left to eat was at proper restaurant. The room was a bit smaller than my expectation. For just sleeping it's alright for few nights. No hot watter kettle or coffee machine so better go around the corner for coffee to go.

You’re literally in the heart of split, right in the action but without it being noisy. The apartment is right inside Diocletians palace and honestly can’t believe how little we paid considering that. It’s spacious, the aircon does the lords work and the hosts were able to recommend nice local restaurants. I’d go back here without question. If you have trouble with stairs, getting up there will be an issue. It’s up a thin spiral staircase for three floors, but unless you have real problems with going up and down then it’s not a real issue

We had two of the three available rooms - one room was bigger than the other with a kitchenette (somehow was the same price?) and having both rooms worked well for our group of 4. The second room we had (one with 2 single beds) had a consistent weird smell.

• TheGoodwitch (5/5): Could've been good but needs some improvement. Great host tho! - Really interesting location, very close to the port and smack in the middle of Diocletian's Palace. The host and her husband were very responsive and accommodating. The room had some nice thoughtful treats in the cupboard which we appreciated. Nice view of the bell tower from the window. Going upstairs was quite risky and dangerous, I was aware that the room was built into the palace walls but I didn't expect the staircase to feel ancient as well. It was very scary going up and down the staircase especially with a large piece of luggage. The room could be better, the furnishings were quite tacky (the overly erotic art on the walls weren't too tasteful) and a bit dated. We also noticed that the gas stove was left open by the previous guest but thankfully it didn't leak. The room is teeny tiny (it was quite difficult moving around in the bathroom) but this is quite understandable as it was built into the old walls.
• Sinton (8/5): Just what I wanted for the opportunity to stay 1 night right in the old palace before flying out. - An extraordinary place to stay, right in the gatehouse of the ancient Roman palace. Pleasant room and en-suite with good shower. Good communication from landlord via WhatsApp with instructions on finding the entrance and check-in. The front door is slightly off-putting due to its age and some graffiti. The spiral stairs are steep and the first flight quite worn, improving as you reach the third floor entrance.

We are so thankful for him as we were very lost and he came out to find us. There is a winding staircase up to the room that made us feel like we were staying in a castle.

The little balcony is perfect, with a great view - and the hosts are incredibly helpful and friendly. We got an airport transfer with them - and we also left our bags with them when we went on a day trip on the day of our departure. Excellent apartment

Also we were there for 3 nights and we didn't have fresh towels. Also if you don't pay at the time of your booking, you have to pay cash, we have traveled in Europe a number of times and this is the first that we had to pay cash.

La vue sur cathédrale de la fenêtre est le must. Propriétaire vraiment accueillant et sympa. Studio effectivement un peu petit, mais confortable. Reste les 56 marches à faire pour y accéder, mais on s'y fait rapidement. il ne faut pas avoir des problèmes de santé.

La possibilité de laisser nos bagages dans l’appartement après notre départ pour manger en ville. C’est quand même très cher. Dans une des chambres il n’y a pas eu d eau chaude, ni la veille au soir, ni le lendemain matin.

No tengo problema en subir escaleras, pero la escalera de este lugar es muy complicada e insegura para subir con equipaje. Los escalones son muy angostos, desparejos y con diferente inclinación. No tiene tiene un pasamanos de adecuado. Si hubiese sabido, a lo mejor hubiese dudado en reservar. Somos gente grande. Para Jóvenes probablemente sea más adecuado.

• Beatrice (7/5): Cool to stay in palace but not the most comfortable - It was very cool to stay within the palace itself and that alone is memorable. The unit was as pictured and we were able to easily check in when we arrived. I was worried about the noise level since it’s in the palace but the windows did a good job of keeping the outside noise out. AC worked well. Really convenient location, close to a bunch of shops and restaurants. We did an outing to Krka National Park and the meeting spot was only a minute away from us, so that was super convenient. LOTS of stairs to get up to the room, we had only backpacks, not sure how the stairwell would be possible with roller luggage. It gets really narrow and it spirals so watch your step. It’s a workout to get to the top. The room itself was very small, bumped into things a lot and it was just the two of us. Bathroom was tiny but at least the hot water worked. As opposed to the noise isolation from outside the building, there are thin walls, it was very loud, we could hear neighbors within the building talking loudly and it woke us up in the middle of the night when someone was unlocking/locking doors. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, pretty barebones.

• Diana (8/5): A pleasant staycation! - Great location for a short trip—right in the heart of the action. We stayed in Room No. 1 at Golden Gate Dreams Rooms. It was a basic, clean room on the 3rd floor, with a small balcony that added a nice touch. Do keep in mind that the stairs are quite steep, so it might not be ideal for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues. Overall, it was a pleasant 2-night stay and a good choice for travelers looking for a central and convenient spot. One thing to note: we were repeatedly asked about our check-in time, which became a bit inconvenient. It would be great if a key box system could be introduced for more flexible and hassle-free check-in, especially for guests arriving at different times.

As others have said, the old narrow circular stair case over three floors means that some people may have difficulty, or if you have lots of heavy bags.

• Fedor (9/5): Great stay in the great historic place! - Location is just awesome: actually you live in the monument! The hosts are hospitable yet delicate. This family care a lot of their guests. Sinisha helped with everything needed, including small screwdriver I needed to fix my glasses :) It's not a drawback but a factor to be considered: if you have a huge bag with you and you're not fit it might be very challenging to bring it up and down small and steep spiralling stairs.

The spiral staircase getting up to the accommodation was very challenging with suitcases. Wouldn’t advise for older people.
• Nancy (8/5): - This was a good place to stay. The hosts were great and helpful. Just be mindful that you are climbing 3 floors that are curved and very old. Carrying heavy suitcases are very difficult. The place had wonderful charm and the bed was good.
• Panagiotis (10/5): Unbelievable location on the Golden Gate! - The room is not just "inside" the gate, the room is on the gate of the palace, which means you're staying in a thousand-old structure within the historical monument. I honestly couldn't believe this was possible (renting such a place), but the picture of the property is taken from a window at the top of the old steps going up the golden gate of the palace! Despite the antiquity, the room is fully renovated, very clean, with a small balcony overlooking the bell tower of the church. No need to mention how centrally located you will be. An absolute highlight of our brief stay in Split, definitely recommended for its uniqueness. The hosts are also very friendly and helpful. Not quite a negative, but because the entrance is detached from the other street numbers, it was hard to find (and Google Maps failed to indicate correctly the location). For future guests' reference, it's a small black door at the left as you enter the Golden Gate (see photo).

La communication avec Vlatka a été très facile via WhatsApp. Les équipements sont modernes et faciles d'utilisation. C'est un bon point de départ pour visiter Split ! L'appartement est situé au-dessus de restaurants donc le soir c'est assez bruyant. Il n'y a pas de clim donc nous avons laissé ouvert, mais si vous êtes réveillés facilement pensez aux boules quies ! Il est également plus petit que ce que nous pensions
• Susan (7/5): Good location. - There were some positives and negatives with this property. Great location and friendly staff our room was good with a nice little balcony. Negative was finding the place and the stairs. It was a spiral staircase and so hard to get your luggage up and down. I wouldn’t recommend for dearly or people with any sort of issues. The stairs
• Patricia (10/5): Staying at Golden gate was no doubt a huge plus for my vacation. - The location was the best part. It was the best decision I made! It was safe, clean, and everything I needed. It was Ok for me, but the stairs would not be the best for others. I was warned about them so I knew they were steep. But that was the only thing and you can’t change that. Just be sure to hold the rope and go slow!

• Angela (8/5): - Super Lage: direkt am/ im Tor Auf Grund der sehr zentralen Lage ist es auch in der Nacht recht laut. Außerdem ist zu beachten,dass man zur Erreichung des Zimmers eine schmale Wendeltreppe hochlaufen muss und schwindelfrei sein sollte.

Cute little balcony to sit on with a view of the bell tower Quite a narrow staircase just be wary if you have big bags.
• wendy (8/5): Great location - Excellent location with character inside the walls. Everything is close by. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Nice shower in the bathroom. Guests should be aware that the rooms are accessed by a narrow spiral staircase of 50 or so steps. It wasn't a problem for us but might be an issue for some

• Alondra Jacqueline (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay in Split — it honestly felt like home. The room was super cozy and I slept so well. Everything was just great. The location is a 10/10, and I loved the entrance with that old, historic vibe. The stairs and the whole atmosphere give the place such a unique charm. It really pulls you into the history of the city. Would definitely stay here again!

• Tim Koenning (7/5): Short but sweet. - Excellent location. Perfect to explore old Split. Very clean and tidy room. The spiral staircase to the 4th floor. Room was small and outdated. The hot water never got hot.
