Guest Reviews
- Jane (10/5): Comfortable accommodation with all the key ingredients to make it a worthwhile stay. - The hotel is massive! Not many people were there when we stayed, which was towards the end of the ski season. The staff were very helpful and very used to using Google translate. We asked to stay for an extra night, and this was no problem. Loved the jets in the onsen, great for massaging tired legs and back. Breakfasts were plentiful, but not much variety. We had a buffet dinner one night, then drove into the neighbouring town about 20 minutes away for dinner. The road up to the accommodation was a bit steep in sections with one 180 degrees corner. There was no snow on the road, so we were able to drive right up to the accommodation. The facilities and carpets are a bit dated and tired now. Nothing wrong with this, particularly given everything is clean and tidy. Just an observation.
- Luke (8/5): An excellent experience. - The location, staff, onsen, and dinner were excellent. Communication via this site's message system prior to arrival was not especially prompt.
- Violaine (8/5): -
- Yoshida (8/5): -
- Liz (8/5): Good value for money - Location Decroation
- Grabowski (7/5): Good - Fantastic location but rooms were old and neglected..stained curtains, too short duvets ( not very fresh)..
- Martin (7/5): Showa vibe - The buffet was really good The interior could be modernized
- Nimadorje (3/5): Poor -
- Sandra (9/5): Superb -
- Edvina (9/5): Superb -
- Mathias (9/5): Superb - Location directly in front of the skiing area, allowing to start off the hotel doors. They offer good breakfast and dinner buffet (extra cost) with a reasonable selection. The public bath (onsen) is very spacious and even contains a hammam. Expect a strong language barrier when not fluent/conversational in Japanese. This is to be expected for rural Japan and not unique to this place.
- Paramee (8/5): Very good -
- Margie (8/5): Very good -
- Deepesh (3/5): Poor -
- Verified traveler (4/5): - No so friendly staffs
We have book with two children and paid all before going to hotel. But when we arrived the staff said our plan doesn’t include children meal. So we have to pay again at the hotel again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location to ski in and ski out. The onsen on 6th floor has nice view an
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Old but nice hotel at ski slope. Very convenient if you go ski but advisable to take with meal option as not near to town. However, there is convenient store in the hotel.
- Martyn (8/5): - Hotel is a bit tired but rooms are big, traditional beds may not suit westerners after a days skiing. We stayed out of the ski season while driving around Japan for one night, good price and easy to find. Hotel was empty so it felt like being in the shinning (film reference).
Great if you are planning a trip to see the snow monkeys which is an absolute must!!!!!!!!!!
