- Nani (10/5): - The house is huge!😍 N we got a surprise on our check out...we were given sweets and kuih. What a lovely thought ❤️ Thank you. The parking 😅
- Hazel Tee (10/5): - Spacious n nostalgic decor Nothing
- Nor Aina Najwa (10/5): Short and pleasant stay - Everything Nothing
- Ching Ching (8/5): Great Stay. Big place with excellent location - very spacious and easy to park. helpful staff staircase too narrow. Toilet and shower are together so get wet easily. too pack for my liking.
- chongbin (10/5): - 非常宽敞明亮 性价比很高 位置好 服务好 稍微靠近马路了
- P (7/5): Pleasant stay in Malacca in a gorgeous old style building. - The old style building, decor, the labels for the lights, proximity to hawker stalls and availability of filtered water were all great. The stairs were unsafely steep, street noise, and there was nothing to hang clothes out to dry nor a dryer for clothes after being washed made it really inconvenient to wash/dry clothes.
- Sean Nee (10/5): Super spacious and well maintained. Clean and easy parking . My family wants to come back again . - Super spacious and well maintained. Clean and easy parking . My family wants to come back again . Nothing
- Anna (10/5): - Huge premises, with four double/queen size beds and three bathrooms in a great location. Most spaces are air-conditioned or have ceiling fans.
- Ben (10/5): - We had a fantastic stay at Egerton Melaka. Very stylish with charming historical touches, spotless, and clearly well maintained. The keyless entry was super convenient for our group of six, and we will definitely be back. nothing
- David (9/5): Great stay here. We were comfortable and loved the location - Great location, only a short stroll to Jonkers Street, but the street it's located on also has food and character! Internal Stairs not really good for elderly but its typical of property for that era
- Marjorie (8/5): Safe, clean, comfortable stay. Owner is very friendly and accommodating. - It is house with 3 bedrooms which allowed us to have privacy. Very quaint house and tasteful decor. It needs paint upgrade other than that it is very comfortable.
- sy (8/5): Good option for friends and family gathering.. - Big house and clean, responsive stuff. Still a bit of distance to Jonker street
- Joel Soo (10/5): Comfy Home - Very spacious, comfy, clean, classic/retro feel but modern appliances, surprisingly quiet at night which is good for the kids to sleep. Stairs a little steep and not good for seniors or children.
- Y Lee (10/5): -
- Alvin (9/5): Pleasant - Location and cleanliness N/A

- Andrew (10/5): Massive and impressive - Massive place that was really good location. We loved it No complaints
- Gary (10/5): -

- Vincent (9/5): Pleasant stay - Cleanliness and the deco. Large space and wonderful ambience. Many, many lights, makes the place very interesting. Dream home. Steep staircase.

- Joycelyn (10/5): Exceptional - Home feel villa with great mix of modern and authentic traditional reno desiign, clean with comfy bed comprehend us a pleasant leisure trip in Melaka. Friendly and warm host, we were surprised with local delicacies nyonya kuih for our lovely morning stay in Villa. overall perfect for us, surely repeat for our next Melaka staycation
- Wan (9/5): Clean, comfortable and a great stay - Villa was very clean, and great value for money. The host was very responsive, and also left some biscuits as a welcome gift. The old shop house has been renovated very nicely, and is very spacious and comfortable. The place wasn't too far away from the main tourist areas, which made it convenient. The villa was next to a main road, so it was a little noisy as you could hear the traffic even late into the night.
- Andreas (10/5): Just nice! Perfect host -
- Puan (9/5): Superb -
- Minder (10/5): Exceptional - Brilliant stay, and the owner bought for us kuih on checkout day, amazing place ♥️
- Dr (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (10/5): Great place to stay - We were extremely with our stay. The communication with the owner was excellent and was very helpful with information. The accommodation was very comfy with plenty of character. Spacious, quirky furnishings and decoration. Great location, close to centre, close to many restaurants and shops. Can't wait to return. Absolutely nothing, we were very happy.
- Ip (10/5): Exceptional - This is the best stay in our Singapore and Malaysia travel. The villa is fully renovated with large area of sitting and dining room. The villa is very clean and comfortable with easy check in procedure provided by the host. Nothing, valuable stay in Melaka
- Kent (10/5): Exceptional - The host was very helpful and responsive.
We were even been treated nyonya kuih the next morning, although it was just a little kuih, it made us a good start of our day.
- Marina (9/5): Superb - Very nice and cozy home, bedroom and bathroom conditions are good and clean. Master of the house is very hospitable.
Bathrooms are a bit small but tipical situation for Asia, shower is very near to the toilet. So, it is wet after taking bath. Just to add glass for the toothbrushes in the bathrooms.
The room headed to the main road is a bit noisy but we didn't feel uncomfortable because were very tired after the all-day Malacca trip
- Bunnies (9/5): Superb -
- A.lim (10/5): This place gives me warmth feeling upon entering the cosy big spacious house. - 1. Location is a very good -- can walk to joker walker about 5 minute from the UPPER CAFE (near the Etergon Melaka)
2. Many food places including the provision shops are easily accessible walk-on distance Nil..
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Seow (8/5): Great experience. - Spacious and good experience staying in nostalgic shophouse. Host was nice to drop off some kuehs for us in the morning. Cleanliness - while the whole place was generally clean, the curtains in the house are badly stained. One of the curtain was right at the bed was. In the end we didn’t that room.
Noise level - unit is just by the main road and traffic light. The room facing the main road can be very noisy in the morning. Another noise came from a lizard in one of the room.
- Cyndi (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (8/5): Overall a pleasant stay which can be perfect if they sound proof the property. - Very easy access. Upon our arrival, owner sent us keypad code. Rooms, common area and toilets were very clean and towels smell fresh. Located almost at junction of main road, most of us could not have a good night sleep cos of noise from bikes zooming by.
Stairs to 2nd level were quite steep not for those with weak knees.
- Moorthy (9/5): Superb -
- Gilbert (9/5): A true hidden gem! - Everything. Absolutely huge, clean, cool and full of character. Really great find in Malacca! Nothing - it was great.
- Teck (10/5): Overall I am satisfied with my stay at The Egerton , for its cleanliness , spacious, tasteful deco and interior architec - Everything was so good & excellent, cleanliness, location, value for money for rate we paid, only bad point is the cleaners attitude when we check out, it’s so rode and sour face The cleaners attitude
- Mei (9/5): Pleasant and worth for money - The house was cozy, clean and nicely decorated. We were entitle for free parking during our stay The front room was facing the street so will have some noice if the traffic was heavy outside.
- Thng (10/5): A super spacious shop house in excellent location, free carpark and responsive host - Clean, spacious, fresh bed sheets NA
- Angelyn (10/5): Was a nice & pleasant stat - Very clean A little noise from outside traffic, especially in the morning
- Wei (9/5): Superb - House was very spacious, it's good that there's a room downstairs which is more suitable for elderly who are not able to walk up the steep stairs. Also love the owner's lovely gesture of providing us free kuih on our 2nd morning.
- Niwu (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious and well located. It's an amazing place to stay for those who want to experience living in a shophouse. There was only one broken knife for cutting fruits and a well-used sponge for cleaning cutleries.
Also, it would be great to have some more hangers or a drying rack for washed clothes.
- Rina (9/5): Superb -
- Asta (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious and cosy apartment. Loved it!
- Kuen (9/5): Nice house. Location okay. Only thing is house, expect some lizards. - Huge huge house. Comfortable and clean. Lizard in 1 room and also in walkway at night. Ops.....
- Song (9/5): felt the hospitality from owner when he treat us some local snacks. - authentic, clean, easy parking, walking distance to Jonker’s street
- Sep (10/5): Don't look any further and book this place! - Location was terrific, at the edge of the old city, few minutes walk from all the highlights. From the outside the location doesn't look like much but inside it's really fantastic. I guess 25 m deep in two floors, beautifully tiled and decorated, with three separate bedrooms (one very large with two double beds but on the street side so use ear plugs), easily cooled with Airco and each with its own bathroom.. You really get the feeling to stay in an authentic Malaysian home with a patio inside which now has a roof. It has enough room to stay with at least 6 people and as many as 9 without feeling crowded. You can eat next door but all the bars and restaurants are within a 10 minute walk. Owner reacts quickly and very friendly and flexible. Don't look any further and book this place! Absolutely nothing, if you use earplugs in the front bedroom.
- Peiling (9/5): Superb -
- Y (10/5): Enjoyable stayed. -
- Rajes (8/5): It was just a night but it was nice. We just needed a comfortable and convenient place to stay. - The place was nice to stay. From outside, it looks like a normal shop lot but inside it's like a hidden gem. There were many stalls outside at the same street for breakfast. The owner was nice to leave some kuih nyonya at the door for us, it was a pleasant surprise.
- Kok (8/5): Very good - Nice and comfortable place. Location was convenient. Food and shops nearby. Road traffic noises affect those sleeping in the room facing the road.
- Mohdafandi (8/5): Comfort and value fir money. - Good location, at road level. Very near to eating outlets. The very steep staircase.
- Samir (9/5): Nice trip - Nice Peranakan house. Excellent decor and authentic feel.
- Fee (10/5): A comfortable house with nice design. Ambience is good apart from the super steep staircase to upstair master bedroom an - Cleanliness and unique design Not enough toilet rolls and the staircase very steep, health and safety concern
- Eckhard (10/5): Absolute recommendation! - I have to say a big thank you to the owner here. Not only did we get to live in a beautiful, historic house, it was also a pleasure for me to experience this house from a conservation perspective. Unfortunately, many of the historic houses there are falling into disrepair, but this house has been renovated with great attention to detail and is therefore well preserved. The house is huge, absolutely clean, cozy and in a central location. Every morning we received a present from Mr. Viktor. The bed was very comfortable (very important for me), and despite the central location it was relatively quiet. Communication was great, helpful, friendly, it was as perfect as it rarely happens. Everything is right down to the smallest detail, something I've never experienced before. ----
- Kathrine (9/5): Superb -
- Winston (9/5): Superb - Excellent The staircase was very steep
- Frederickfoo (9/5): Thankful for this opportunity to stay here - Staff was responsive and attentive. Thank you for making such a heritage house available and affordable for visitors like us to have an opportunity and pleasant experience staying in a peranakan house. The house was spacious, well equipped, clean & comfortable - could observe that it's been carefully renovated, maintained and preserved. One morning, Victor drop us some local kuih delicacies - thoughtful!
Appreciate that Victor still attend to my enquiries and even offered to assist, even after I've checked out. When we arrived, the living room's air-condition was not cooling. However, by the next afternoon, it's been repaired. Otherwise, the rest was good.
- Sooth (9/5): Superb - The owner is friendly and helpful. He informed us all the information we need to know a days ahead. The location is great and not far from the Jonker Street area. The traffic around the area is smooth, with less traffic. Parking lots are easily spotted opposite the property. A good choice if you need car parking.
- Robin (10/5): A very pleasant stay at the heart of Malacca! Strongly recommended! - The property was located in an excellent location, and there was a good parking spot outside the property. The house itself was done beautifully and was spacious and extremely well maintained. The house was in a very clean condition when we arrived, check in instructions were clearly given. The house was tastefully and beautifully decorated. The city center and attractions were at walking distance from the property. The owners even gave us complimentary kueh on one of the days! Since the property was located by the side of a road, there was some vehicle noise which could be heard at night in one of the bedrooms.
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Eyven (9/5): Superb - Great place to stay, very clean and helpful host, highly recommended.
- Damien (9/5): Maybe thicker towels could be provided and perhaps some disposable toiletries - Lovely restored old shophouse. Clean surrounding, beddings n toilets. Very thoughtful host who even gifted us with some kuihs we leave. Nothing.
- Cindy (9/5): Perfect for those looking for value for money, traditional accommodation for a large group. - This is a superb, value for money accommodation. Walking in to this home for the first time felt as though we were stepping back into time into someone's beautiful traditional home. Such an oasis of peace and elegance. It helped that the owner had kept the rooms chilled for our arrival!
There were 3 rooms at the property, with spare mattress. 8 towels and basic toiletries (shampoo, body soap) were provided. All rooms and the hall had a plug in anti-mosquito device, but generally we didn't have any major problems with mosquitos. Our travelling party included an inquisitive and active 2 year old, and we had no problems navigating the steep steps and keeping our child safe.
We also loved the central courtyard with the sunlight streaming through to light up the whole house. The decoration is charming and delightful, a wonderful mix of the baba nonya tradition and modern day conveniences.
There were many local coffeeshops, hawker centers, and roti canai shop options for a quick local meal. Jonker street and the historic part of Melaka is just a quick drive away with ample parking within the city. Owner also dropped off complimentary nonya kuih on the morning of our checkout - thank you!
We would definitely come back again if we ever need to be in Melaka in future. Nothing really.
However for those looking for more cooking facilities, just be prepared to eat out. This place is not designed for cooking, but making drinks and heating up food should be ok.
We didn't have much time to watch TV, but couldn't really work out which TV stations were available. Didn't matter to us. Couldn't work out ASTRO or Netflix options.
This is an older part of town and generally drainage system seems quite poor. Drains outside seem to be a bit blocked and the smelly drains affected the back of the house. But no problems with drainage within the house.
- Elena (10/5): highly recommended and we will be back - The entire place is very clean and tastefully done. Each room comes with attached bath n toilet, ultimate privacy for all. Rooms are huge and vey spacious too. Short walk to Jonker Street. Very easy checkin and out and Victor has total trust to his entire house to us. He even brought us baked buns for breakfast. none
everything is superb
- Farah (8/5): Very good -
- Carmen (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice,got water heater &water filter too

Nearby jonker street,n there have a mamak stall juz 1-2min walking distance, so very convenient to us while we wish to having a supper Soundproof a bit poor
- Bibliothek (9/5): Superb - You can stay at this house all alone with your friends or family. We really liked the size of the house and the cleanliness. The owner was super friendly and kind. We loved this historical place.
- Bee (9/5): Cosy and comfortable, ultra friendly & helpful owner - Spacious, clean and comfortable As it’s located on the roadside, noise level is very high and very bright once sunrise
- Beebee (8/5): Very good - Homely feels, stay in a historic building which nearly 100+ years while enjoying modern comforts. A bit busy and noisy on one of the main access road but pros are easy to find local foods anytime
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nor (10/5): will come again & again - so clean & nice & friendly host none
- Ong (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nazlia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wee (9/5): 1916 property - Quaint, clean, spacious.
Easy check in and out.
Owner came by with kueh in the morning steep stairs - not suitable for elderly. But the stairs are part of the charm of this place.
In front of main road, so light sleepers may have a problem with the noise for the room facing road though not an issue for me.
- Nurulaini (10/5): Exceptional - I like everything about the villa. And the owner was very friendly and helpful. Thank you. Nothing.
- Shah (10/5): Perfect stay and we will definitely come again. - Good location, interior of the house, cleanliness, spacious and friendly host. Nothing
