Die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht gut und war sehr laut. In der letzten Nacht wurde ich von irgendwelchen Viechern arg zerstochen

Während unsere Kamel-Tour konnten wir das Gepäck dort lassen und am Abreisetag das Zimmer bis nachmittags nutzen. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Restauration variée et copieuse (dîner comme petit dej). Au lieu de passer une nuit dans un camp du désert, nous aurions aimé rester une nuit de plus pour profiter pleinement de ce bel endroit. Salle de bain dans son jus, un peu étriquée. Elle fait le job sans faire rêver

The rooftop restaurant also has the best views of the fort in Jaisalmer. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly too. We tried the poha for breakfast and it’s the best we’ve had in India 😄 Rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious with nice showers and tea/coffee making facilities too. Make sure you get a fort view room as the others looked a bit dark when we walked by. Nothing

We mochten de dag na onze safari gratis gebruik maken van een kamer om te douchen. We werden gratis naar het busstation gebracht. De kamers waren lekker koel. Op het dakterras heb je een prachtig uitzicht op het fort. Er viel niets echt tegen, de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is gewoon heel erg goed. Je krijgt waar je voor betaalt. De kamers zijn niet heel erg ruim en wat sober ingericht.

They organised our desert safari and we were pleased it was non touristic and quiet, not loud like others we heard. We enjoyed chatting with staff member Khetaram who served us most of our meals Room was a little small but it had what we needed and the bed was lovely and soft.

• Jung (10/5): Wunderbare Wüstentage - Das Fort ist sehr schön u. Ist das einzige der Welt welches noch bewohnt ist. Ich hab mir das 4 tägige Desertfestival angeguckt welches sehr sehenswert ist. Auch hat mir mein halbtagestrip in die Wüste sehr gut gefalken. Mit 40 min. Kamelritt durch die Wüste, ein Dorf, Fort u. Kuldhara ein verlassenes Dorf zu sehen plus eine Oase zu besuchen standen auch auf dem Orogramm. Zum Schluss haben unsere Guides in der Wüste ein leckeres Abendessen für uns zubereitet. Zum Schluss haben wir den Sternenübersäten Nachthimmel betrachtet. Neben mir waren noch eine Mutter mit Tochter aus Australien dabei. Es war ein wunderbares Erlebnis für uns alle.

The hotel perfectly combines traditional Rajasthani charm with modern comfort, making it a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. The location is excellent — very close to Jaisalmer Fort and major attractions, which makes sightseeing extremely convenient. The rooftop restaurant is truly the highlight. The view of the Golden Fort, especially when it lights up at night, is magical. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is perfect for enjoying a peaceful evening. The staff is incredibly warm, friendly, and always ready to help. Their hospitality makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the overall vibe of the property is calm and welcoming. If you are visiting Jaisalmer, Shahi Palace is definitely a fantastic choice for location, hospitality, food, and overall experience. Highly recommended! There was nothing to dislike .!

La nostra camera era molto piccola e con i bagagli era difficile muoversi comodamente. L'unica finestra presente dà sul corridoio interno della struttura quindi c'è poco ricambio d'aria.

• Miguel (1/5): Peor imposible - Dejar del hotel. Habitación doble superior con vistas a la fortaleza , a eso se refiere una habitación con vistas a la pared de enfrente. Surtido de baño , se refiere a dos mini pastillas de jabón y un tarro de champú al que le quedaba algo. Calefacción, aún sigo buscándola porque en el baño hacía frío . Secadora de ropa , …… para que ofertan lo que no tienen. La habitación daba tristeza. Es muy fuerte subir a desayunar y encontrarte a un trabajador durmiendo en un banco cubierto por una manta.

• Liliana84 (10/5): Super relax in stile indiano - Camere molto pulite, belle e tutte diverse, costruite con la pietra tipica di jaisalmier, siamo arrivati alla stazione del treno alle sei del mattino e sono venuti a prenderci dandoci le camere con check in anticipato. In camera tutti i confort, TV, doccia con acqua calda, aria condizionata e phon. Letti comodissimi. A piedi si raggiunge in 10 minuti il forte o il lago. Ristorante sul tetto molto buono. Con vista sul forte. Escursione nel deserto super consigliata, la loro guida Bioju, è bravissima. Ma la cosa migliore è lo staff. Dalla reception al ristorante tutti super disponibili e gentili. Senza di loro non ci sarebbe questa bella atmosfera. Avevamo due camere e i miei figli lo hanno adorato. Il bagno di una delle camere (30) era un po' scomodo, e il lavandino perde acqua.

• Kanian (8/5): Nice cosy traditional boutique hotel - 1. Very courteous staff. They are wonderful and very friendly. 2. Amazing location - 10 min walk from the fort gate 3. Amazing view from the roof top restaurant. 4. Delicious food - Their Chicken Tandoori is probably the best I have tasted in India. 5. Spacious room - in an old heritage style small building, well fitted with bath amenities, and naturally warm during winter. 1. Approach to the hotel is dirty - but not hotel's fault. 2. The first room alloted to us was not properly cleaned - there was hair on the bed, and the mattress smelled of urine/beer, we even saw spots on the mattress. When requested, they promptly changed to another 3 bed room but charged 1000 INR extra per night for the same. Also the first room was very poorly lit. 3. There is no lift (not expected in such small traditional building) - this is not a drawback but people having mobility challenges will have problem climbing the steep staircase to the roof top restaurant. But they serve food in room if ordered.

• Jeannine (10/5): Fantastic !!! ❤️❤️❤️ - We spent two nights at Shahi Palace Hotel on 25 and 26 December 2025 and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is really lovely with a great restaurant on the roof top terrace and a wonderful view of the beautiful Fort. The food is delicious North Indian Rajasthani fare with many continental dishes as well. We really loved the food and ate every meal there and they have great breakfasts. They make fantastic omelets ! The staff in the restaurant is very nice and efficient and very quick and give great service . All very attentive . The rooms are very clean and well appointed with lovely Indian decor , very comfortable beds. We spent two nights on 25 and 26 December 2025 and had a wonderful stay . The staff is exceptional, and the owner Devilal and son Akshay who run the hotel and very welcoming and will do their best to acccomodate guests and all their needs. Rooms are clean and well kept with nice clean white sheets and towels . We will definitely be back when in Jaisalmer. ❤️
• chen (8/5): מלון נעים בהתחשב בבעיות של האזור. - מקום נעים, חדרים נקיים. מקלחת בסדר גמור. גג נעים ואוירה טובה יש ריח של ביוב בכניסה למלון, לא קשור לפנים המלון, אבל משפיע על החוויה. לתחושתי זו בעיה ברוב האזורים שאינם בתוך המבצר. יש תעלות ביוב פתוחות לאורך הרחובות.

The top terrace restaurant and its seating were dirty though the bathroom attached to the room was clean though tiny. The view all round being close to the fort was not great with terrace tops of all the neighborhood with its dirty ambience. Better to stay away from the fort.

The location was excellent, very close by walk to the fort. And the terrace is a must visit for the fort view. Although we did not stay for long, the room was clean and had all amenities including AC, kettle, etc. There was hot water available as well.

• Ralf (10/5): 1001 Nights Feeling in the Desert - We loved to stay several days at Shahi Palace. Situated in a quiet lane at the old town you can reach the market area and the fort just in minutes by walking. The roof top terrace has direct view onto the fort - stunning especially in the evening. The food is delicious and we spent hours here relaxing. The hotel and the rooms are decorated as in Arabian Nights, we got luck to have a room with a window. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Highlight of our days here was the private overnight desert safari! We were almost alone at a beautiful place in the sand dunes, after we discovered a abandoned village, old kenotaphes and an old fort by jeep, followed by a 30min camel ride to a very remote place. The dinner prepared onsite and the bonfire were “wunderbar” and the night under star unbelievable. Thanks a lot for the wonderful experience- we highly recommend the hotel and their safari! Nothing 😊
• Tristan (10/5): - Ich habe die Lage außerhalb des Forts genossen, da es etwas ruhiger war und der Blick auf das Fort von der Dachterasse traumhaft ist. Jedem Abend beim Essen hatte ich diesen wundervollen Ausblick. Auch das Essen des Hotels war sehr lecker. Der Chef und das Personal des Hotels waren immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Immer für ein Gespräch offen und zeitgleich nie aufdringlich.
• camilla (10/5): Accogliente, pulito e personale gentile 😍 - L’hotel è un palazzo storico affascinante, la stanza era incredibilmente confortevole, bagno privato con acqua calda. È presente anche un ristorante sul tetto che offre una colazione eccellente 😍
• Michaela (10/5): 1001 Nacht in Jaisalmer - Der Besitzer kümmert sich sehr herzlich um seine Gäste. Auch der Blick auf das Fort war traumhaft. Das Essen war sehr lecker und wurde auf der wunderschönen Dachterrasse serviert. Ich komme wieder.
• Abhishek (8/5): Shahi Palace Hotel is a fantastic choice for location, rooftop dining, and fort views. - 🏰 Location The hotel is perfectly situated within walking distance of Sonar Quila (Jaisalmer Fort), the city’s main attraction. This makes exploring the fort and nearby markets extremely convenient. 🌅 Views From the rooftop terrace, you get a stunning and unobstructed view of the fort. Watching the fort glow in the evening light from here is truly magical. We spent an entire night on the terrrace enjoying food and drinks. 🍴 Rooftop Restaurant The rooftop restaurant has a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are very attentive, helpful, and accommodating, which makes dining here a pleasure. It’s a great spot to relax after sightseeing. 🛏️ Rooms The room I stayed in was quite small and had no view, which was disappointing compared to the charm of the terrace. While clean and functional, the lack of a scenic outlook made the stay less pleasant. 🏜️ Activities One of the highlights is that the hotel staff can arrange desert jeep safaris and overnight desert stays. This adds a lot of value for travelers looking to experience the Thar Desert without hassle. There is nothing in particular that stood out. But would have liked to see the room pictures on the site to make better judgemnt in choosing The room I stayed in was quite small and had no view, which was disappointing compared to someother rooms which are quite big and with a view, but this is not a deal breaker !

• Kim (10/5): Staff, room, hotel, food, terrace and view all made this place brilliant. - Just brilliant. Pick up from station very late at night. Food and beer still available. Great room, amazing terrace, incredible fort view, superb food, location only 10-15 minutes from Fort and surrounding area. Nope, nothing to complain about.
