- Nuttall (1/5): - Location 8 minute walk to the station Bugs in the bed covers! Absolutely disgusting
- Niamh (2/5): Fine for a short stay if you plan on just having a bed to rest in - The location was good The rooms were cold and very old and delapadated. There was mould in our room and the beds were extremely uncomfortable. Very noisy
- Makhlouf (7/5): Dear, good location and clean many thanks 🙂 - It was clean and good location 🙂 Dear,
The Shower water going through slowly it's was a bit blocked, the baby cot didn't have a matters in it. The long room mirrors it was a bit loose.
Many thanks.
Best regards.
- Maria (4/5): Disaster. But get the infestation sorted and I’d try again. - Location good, car park great. 10pm bedbugs appeared.
To their credit, the owner refunded straight away and I left.
I hope they can eradicate them quickly.
- Faisal (7/5): -
- Sam (5/5): Adequate for a short work trip - Convenient location power plugs not near the bed, bathroom very small and needed repair,
- dr Piri (7/5): -
- Aggy (7/5): - The room was very clean, the bedding and bed itself were great. We had good sleep. The free parking at the rear of the property was massive bonus. There was some mold present in the ceiling and bathroom walls seal but did not affect the use of the room or bathroom, overall both areas were clean.
- Mandy (6/5): - Close to our party venue. Clean room The room was freezing cold put heater on immediately but took ages to warm it up. Cannot comment on staff as did not see anyone
- Gary (1/5): -
- Stephen (2/5): Poor - Poor Poor
- Tricia (1/5): Not good - Checking in message didn't work...
On arrival, my friend called to gain access .. no security questions were asked to my friend ... so they could have been off been anyone ... nobody came to greet us .. in fact, I never saw anybody who worked there the entire stay .. the key was left on a shelf inside the front door ...
..
The room was small but adequate size for a 1 night stay ..
The room was freezing cold on arrival
The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable..
Bedding was old and smelly ( pillows and quilt)
Kettle lead did not reach a plug ..
The bathroom door had a fingerprint of blood on it,
Wardrobe had a broken handle
Would definitely not stay here again
- Christopher (5/5): - Great location. parking very handy. No hot water. I was later told I had to ask them to turn it on, as there were a satisfactory number of guests to warrant leaving the water on. Also, walls are thin and any movement across the rooms is clearly audible.
- PLAMEN (8/5): Very happy from my stay , will be returning - Clean , tidy and good location. Worth the value
Staff is very friendly Was a bit cold one of the evening
- Colette (7/5): -
- Jonathan (3/5): Faulty Towers - Good location Had to change rooms 3 times, the first room was dingy and cold with no hot water. Poorly maintained, cupboard doors hanging off, the third room I moved too was ok and it had an electric radiator that worked. The lady that checked me in was grumpy because I complained.
- vicci (4/5): Not worth the money - Its location It was run down, but clean. My room was on the bottom floor and all night I was woken by people upstairs stomping around at all hours. There was no breakfast when I went up at 8.30am, nothing laid out, no fruit despite 2 messages about me needing a gluten free breakfast and them saying they could do that nothing arrived because there were zero staff to be seen. I think it’s an unmanned guesthouse, there’s no front desk.
- GRAZIELLA (6/5): -

We didn't have breakfast A shelf for the bathroom by the sink

- Gliceria (6/5): Fair enough - Near the church and bus stop No aircondition ,only electric fan

- Vinitha (8/5): -
- Patryk (10/5): -
- Ali (1/5): Disappointing -
- Alice (7/5): - Great Location for Wimbledon Not the most modern but was all we needed for a night stay
- Karen (4/5): Very disappointing. - I booked because of the location and supposedly had four stars. This was not a comfortable stay. The room did have in it everything on this list. However, I need of decoration and reorganisation, electrics and plumbing. The bathroom was extremely small and not clean due to the age and deterioration of it.
- Lee (8/5): - Clean and tidy and comfortable
- Carmen (6/5): Ubicacion muy buena - Ubicacion La cama estaba llena de muelles saltados , casi no dormí , y el dia que nos íbamos no había agua caliente en Enero !!
- ANA (5/5): Was ok for this time . Wouldn't stay there again . Sorry - Room size was great and super warm-thank you . I did choose the bigger room for my stay as I like comfort .
Coffee and tea was great . But there was no milk in the tray in the hall . I only had the milk that was in my room , yet there was extra tea and coffee in the tray in the hall .
Bed was comfortable
Location was good Noone was at reception when I arrived . Had to ring the bell and a resident on the ground floor opened for me and called the office to ask where my keys were and what room I was in . Never saw anyone during my stay . Thank goodness I never needed assistance .
Room was super noisy -could hear all the noises from the road , train and neighbours and the room shook when busses went by .
The shower was super small (thank goodness I'm a small person ) and the water pressure was terrible . Took forever to shower .

- Jim (7/5): Good value last minute accommodation with free parking on a budget - Location, car parking included, price.
- Mollymoomoo (8/5): - Near town centre.
Room size we had ok.
Bed comfortable. Shower head blocked with lime scale so shower spray went everywhere but you. This is such an obvious thing to sort out.
No fridge, easy thing to install for guests.
- Adogla (9/5): The Wimbledon Hotel, a new life in an old body - Jay was a great host. My sheets were generally clean at all times. Hard to say. I think the rooms can be a bit warmer during the winter. And lighting could be better in the basement room. Apart from that, with the right clothing, you will be fine.
- Katharina (8/5): Excellent location and good value for money if you’re staying Wimbledon. Private parking is a big bonus - Excellent location and good value for money if you’re staying Wimbledon.
The room had everything needed and staff was always on hand for question. A big bonus for the private parking at the back of the property
- Nick (9/5): -
- Anthony (1/5): Frozen - Location Zero hot water. Left water to run for ages, never even got Luke warm. Terribly squeaky bed and extremely soft mattress. Couldn’t sleep there. So frozen shower and no sleep. Great
- alan (6/5): A convenient stopover for a one nighter - reasonably priced + good location 3 flights of stairs!
- Rameses Gonzaga (6/5): - Location The guest prior to my stay smoked in the room I was occupying despite warning from the property. It was not pleasant considering the room smelt smoke the entire stay. But staff were apologetic and not their fault.
- Anastasia (1/5): An unsettling incident early in the morning overshadowed what could have been a normal stay. - Just the location We experienced a very disturbing incident during our stay. At around 5:00 AM, a hotel staff member entered my sister’s room without permission, then claimed it was the wrong room. This was extremely unsettling and made us feel unsafe.
Mistakes can happen, but entering a guest’s room at that hour without proper verification is unacceptable. We hope the hotel improves its procedures to ensure this never happens to anyone else.
- Nascimento Domnick (7/5): - Location Small room
- BEDDIS (8/5): Lovely and cosy - The room was spacious and the bed was exceptionally comfortable and lovely and warm. Nothing
- Marie (8/5): -
- Borislav (3/5): - There was a problem with the water - they couldn’t solve it and we couldn’t use the shower.
Additional disadvantages are the lack at all of staff - this is not a hotel, more like rental rooms
- Stefan (7/5): -
- Caroline (1/5): - Location Bed was full of bed bugs so the owner ended up booking us into the premier inn
- Steven (7/5): A nice comfortable hotel if you like the sound of trains when you’re trying to sleep - Great location. Clean, comfy bed Every time a train passed I was awoken and my bed vibrated. It was clearly located near a train line.
- Gabrielle (9/5): - Such a cozy vibe and super cute and warm. People reviewing are far too overcritical, this place is lovely and quaint, the reviews about it being "outdated" are so boring, I think its so sweet as it is and doesnt need to come into the new century, that would make it lose its sparkle. Very friendly staff and just overall very lovely to stay at, wish I stayed longer! Great location!
- simon (8/5): -
- Charlie (6/5): It was okay, as we were only there for 1 night - Room was clean and warm We could have been met in person, instead of only speaking to someone on the phone. The shower in the bath room did not work, only cold water. The water was very hot for the bath.
- Matteo (10/5): -
- Nicola (5/5): average - no reception. took us more than 5 minutes just to get in the front door
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Steven (7/5): Ideal for our needs good value - Location parking Dated a bit tired looking

- Jaime (8/5): - Bien ubicado

- Riaan (1/5): STAY AWAY FROM WIMBLEDON HOTEL - If there was a way to rate this hotel in Negative scores that is where I would be scoring it.
Liked nothing here. There were BEDBUGS in the bed, no hot water in the shower. I was bitten. blood stains on pillows and sheets the next day. I cannot understand how Booking.com woukd associate themselves with rhis hotel. Reading reviews afterwards, looks like its going on for a while.
- Phil (3/5): - The location The toilet was broken, the water in the shower went hot and cold, the staff were not friendly, the bed was really creaky. And there was very little information in the room
- Michael (8/5): -
- Johnathan Hemry (8/5): Great stay - All good
- Freya (1/5): awful and scary - nothing Dear manager of The wimbledon hotel ,
I am writing to formally express my outrage regarding my recent stay at your hotel in room 12 with two friends. Our experience was nothing short of traumatic and unacceptable.
From the moment we arrived, we were confronted with numerous issues. Firstly, the lack of a lift made navigating the steep stairs a hazardous experience. It felt extremely unsafe, especially for three young women.
Things escalated when we were waiting for a McDonald's delivery around 5 PM. A man in a car stopped and stared at us, which made us uncomfortable. After 20 minutes, he got out and attempted to enter the hotel. We had to slam the door to prevent him from getting in. He then called the hotel owner, claiming to know him and asked where the hammer was kept. The manager's response, stating that there was no hammer, was appalling - he didn’t even ask the man to leave us alone or step away from the door . The man proceeded to threaten us, saying he would "smash us with the hammer," and your owner remained silent during this alarming exchange.
Feeling unsafe, we called your hotel ourselves, and the response we received was dismissive. The owner assured us the man was "harmless" but advised us not to let him in. As three young girls, we were terrified and felt utterly abandoned by your staff.
To make matters worse, when we returned to our room, we could hear someone in the room below us, clearly having severe diarrhea. This was disgusting and unacceptable. Additionally, the dust in our room triggered my asthma, making our stay even more unbearable.
While we were trying to recover from the stress of being threatened, the doorbell rang incessantly for at least an hour. We suspect it was the same man trying to gain entry, yet no action was taken by your staff. The noise from the doorbell was disruptive and added to our distress.
Given these circumstances, we felt we could not stay any longer and left by 8 PM that same day.
- Jonathan (8/5): comfortable room, no-nonsense hotel on a busy-ish street, well located for transport and amenities - comfortable room, good size, private. Hotel was very conveniently located - short distance from Wimbledon and good transport connections, shops, restaurants, walking distance to Wimbledon common. Staff were friendly. The hotel is low-key which suited me Some noise from the street. Otherwise the hotel was perfect for what I needed.
- Turner (10/5): -
- Tsai (5/5): -
- Carrie (5/5): Pleasant enough for one night. - Location was good, bed and pillows were comfortable. Only got one towel between two and the shower head was broken and kept falling down.
- Mark (2/5): - Definitely not worth the money. Got bitten to bits
- Tarina (10/5): - Nice staff great jotel, i will stsy again rhanks
- Mark (1/5): Bed bugs - Bed bugs
- Teresa (10/5): -
- Amie (4/5): - Close to sports centre Toilet was blocked on arrival staff tried to unblock multiple times ended up having to use communal toilet.
- Beata (3/5): Recommend to someone short stay, required adjustments to current standards. - Personnel, location, trees in front garden, spacious room, clean bedding and towels, hot drink available upon arrival. No code access or keys outside to open front door. Door bell needed to be ringed 3 times before someone answered, that, and broken glass in front door gives a lot of anxiety. I let in people who where in same situation and that type of hospitality isn’t welcoming. I heard noise and felt vibration in room even when traffic was minimal. Mechanism to close sound screen wasn’t easy to use, so installed somehow to restrict not fully functioning. Stair core not up to current fire standard regulations, no lift or secondary escape way. Doors without proper mechanism to open and/or close safely. Noise from pipes of water and drainage installation. Lots of dust in room and outside. Wallpaper unsticking from walls. Closet with curtain, no doors.
- Carol-Louise (8/5): Very convenient in Wimbledon - The location is perfect for my needs The window blinds do not work very well and curtains..
- Jamie (6/5): Poor hotel - Took nearly 40 minutes to get into the hotel, despite online and confirmation confirming that check in was open until 8pm (I arrived at 6pm)
In the end the manager got a resident to let me in and pass me my key.
Extremely poor
Then hurried out of my room just after 10:30am despite check out not being until 11am!
Little things, however they add up
- Maria Helena (8/5): -
- Robert (9/5): -
- Lina (8/5): Excellent for a one night stay - Clean and comfortable room, walking distance from the train station and High Street. It was only a one night stay and it fulfilled its purpose easily. The bathroom had a very good shower and basin. Suitable parking and wifi. The only negative was that there was only towels for one person and two of us were staying the night.
- Sharon (1/5): Not good at all - Nothing Everything
- Chris (7/5): -
- Paul (2/5): -
- juan manuel (7/5): -
Alles!!!
- Kenroy (8/5): - It was a most enjoyable stay.
There was a problem I reported it, it was sorted straight away, an apologise was given to me, what else can I ask for.
