- Shona (9/5): The best breakaway holiday ever! - The catering was excellent, and the staff and environment were welcoming and friendly, very family-like. The scenery and hospitality were exceptional, and the willingness to ensure a great experience was amazing. Well-guided walks, great information, and insights into the area and things to do. A brilliant breakaway retreat. Firmer pillows would've been more comfortable. I wish I had brought my own.
The food was excellent, but a few meals were too rich for me, and a blander option or having the sauce on the side would've helped. However, that didn't take anything away from it being an exceptional stay.
- Sandisiwe (9/5): - Staff is excellent. Service is world class I did not get to use all the facilities
- Thatohatsi (10/5): Pleasant stay! - Amazing scenery, tranquil feel. Great hosts. N/A
- Arnaud (8/5): Wynford is an experience ! - Like they say at wynford you get an experience, and you adapt to the rythm. Thanks to the organized walks we got to discover the area; the horseback riding in the mountains was great too; and the whole staff was really nice and friendly. At first this is surprising to hear the bell to call you for dinner or tea time, then you get used to it.
- Ayandadhlamini06 (10/5): - The pictures don't do any justice to the actual place. The views are breathtaking. The hospitality is just incredible. The whole experience was amazing, we'll definitely be going back very soon. I rate the place way above 10
- CC (9/5): - The hikes and service Everything was great
- Paul (9/5): Great place for a family holiday. - Well maintained old family style holiday accommodation with great personal efforts from the hosts. It’s a pity more rooms don’t have a view of the beautiful mountains

- Kat (10/5): - We had such a great stay! My kids roamed, played with other kids and the dogs, and enjoyed the food. I went on lots of hikes (alone and guided). I appreciated the lack of cell service or wifi in the rooms. I think it really enhanced the stay.
- Chrizo12 (8/5): Best Stay at Wyndford Holiday Farm - The place is very beautiful, its worth every cent, the staff is very friendly very welcoming i really enjoyed my stay The breakfast was not the best for me

- Mizanne (7/5): Beautiful holiday spot - Beautiful setting and lovely accommodation. The dinner and breakfast was delicious. Coffee brought to our room in the morning was a real treat. We also appreciated the help with starting a fire in our room after asking for assistance. Good communication before arrival via email. Good strong WiFi signal. Clean and tidy rooms and public areas. Poor communication when we arrived- not everything was explained properly. Tea time in the afternoon was not what was expected. From what I saw before going there would be many cakes etc. to enjoy. There was one plate of cookies. We also were uncertain whether we must serve ourselves so we're confused as this was not explained.
The guided hike was a mission to try to arrange and they didn't seem too enthusiastic to help us with that. When we were told we could go on our own we weren't told that on almost all of the routes there are gates that are locked and we would need a key to get through.
Dress code was supposed to be smart casual for the evening, which we adhered to. But upon arrival it was anything but that as there were people in shorts and flip-flops and children in pyjamas. We felt uncomfortable as we felt overdressed.
We were also disappointed to only be informed upon arrival that the bowls lawn and putt-putt was closed for renovations.

- Katlego (10/5): A place I can't wait to bring my kids to - The staff's friendliness and the views Dogs
- Dippenaar (10/5): So close to Clarens and the Lesotho border. Great value for money - It is a beautiful farm with amazing staff. Great breakfast and stunning nature. Very good option for a wedding too That we only stayed one night
- Dr Thapedi Malope (8/5): -
- Yash (10/5): - The most accommodating staff I have ever encountered and with a smile. Recieved a message the week of travel confirming accommodation and asked if we had any requirements. I noted that I am vegetarian and they did not disappoint. Well done guy's 👏 Cannot fault them.
- NaterciaN (8/5): - Lovely location, considering we wanted to go see the snow in Lesotho. The room was basic but neat and clean and sufficient for a 3-night stay. The facilities are great, everything really pretty and staff accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed the underfloor heating as it was really cold, and the in-house pets (cats, dogs, bunnies) were very sweet.
We didn't use the restaurant, but the food smelled good and seemed to be value for money, considering the prices were for 3-course meals. Overall, loved our stay. When I booked, the room was listed as having mountain and garden views, but our unit literally opened up into the back of another unit. I didn't raise it because we arrived late and it was dark when we checked in. We had already unpacked and settled before we realised we had no views, but that was disappointing.
Please also check your ice machine in the dining room. The water left over from the melted ice the night before didn't look clean. I meant to mention this when we checked out, but we were in a rush, and it slipped my mind.
- Malusi (10/5): Great place next to Caledonspoort border. - Great place with friendly staff. Elana was a great communicator and ensured our stay was as pleasant as it could be.

- Aimee (9/5): Absolutely loved our time… so much to do within the farm. - Clean quote and cost environment.
The staff at Wyndford make the stay absolutely amazing . So helpful and accommodating. So welcoming you don’t want to leave Only issue I experienced is that my cellphone signal was not functional . Which I don’t mind , however a aheads up about having now cellular connection would have been appreciated.
- Jacobs (8/5): Very good -
- Karinl (10/5): Exceptional - The host was very accommodating and staff members went out of their way to ensure that we had a wonderful stay. The rooms were perfect for our overnight stay and the food was excellent.
- Yvette (8/5): Very good -
- Simon (8/5): Very good - Staff super friendly and helpful! Perfect place to stop over on our way to Afriski, right next to the border.
- Anton (4/5): Not great value for money. - Underfloor heating really a bonus, comfortable beds with duvets. Staff was helpful The living areas cane furniture is dated and almost resemble backpacker facilities and not Luxury suite status. Meals very overpriced. Although not too loud, expect to hear music from Lesotho across the road. Bedrooms squeaking floors annoying.
- Ricus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mdlalose (9/5): Superb -
- Angela (10/5): A delightful get away full of special treats and attentive care with a wonderful family feel. - Beautiful location, delicious meals, lovely family atmosphere, attentive staff, wonderful walks - such a privilege to spend time there and to be treated in such a special way. Nothing comes to mind.
- Van (9/5): Superb - All staff was helpful and friendly.

- James (9/5): Perfect family destination - Brilliant for families, my children (10 and 8 years) rated their stay 10 out 10.
- Goddard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Johann (9/5): Supper R195 pp - We only had a bowl of soup and bread, 1 portion of mac and cheese and x2 small pancakes for supper for R195 per person. My wife is allergic to milk/diary so she was sick the whole nigth after we had a small supper. But all in all the place is great.
- Shaleen (10/5): Excitement - Staff went out of their way to making our stay awesome
- Petrus (9/5): It's nice...next time will be longer to make use of the breakfast... - Did not used breakfast... More chairs inside room...only one chair...
- Sekwati (9/5): Superb -
- Woudri (10/5): Very personable, wonderful stay with amazing staff. Great for kids and families and lots to explore! - Great location, The staff go out of their way. We visited on easter and they made a special easter egg hunt for the kids, church service on easter Sunday and just special meals for this special time. They were all very knowledgeable on the area and could tell us more about plants etc on the guided walks every morning and afternoon. So many planned activities and also some extras like horse riding. Cute animals everywhere that the kids loved. Cats, dogs, bunnies, emus, chickens, horses etc. The pool looked great for little kids as it had a big shallow side where they could walk, unfortunately it was cold so we couldnt swim. Hikes were gorgeous, food was great and staff exceptional. all staff go above and beyond. We wanted to eat earlier one night as the kids were exhausted and they helped us earlier, they arranged everything according to what we needed. I have very picky eaters and a little bit more variety would be good. But this is my own experience, the food offered was great, just know that there is one option per meal so its not like a buffet. It is a three course meal with a soup, main meal and then dessert so my kids were quite happy to just have some of the yummy bread and then the pudding if it was something they didnt eat. Again, this is not the fault of the establishment, its more my own experience. If you have very picky eaters maybe just take some snacks or a meal or two that you can use when its not something they eat. The kitchen is extremely helpful with heating things up, washing bottles, or really anything you might need.
- Stuart (10/5): Long week-end get away - The old family resort charm that offers an all inclusive stay. The food was excellent and the friendly staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Lots to keep the kids busy and enjoyed the walks and beautiful scenery. Just the place to relax and reconnect with nature. An ideal week-end get away. Nothing.
- Michael-john (10/5): Utterly fabulous place!! - One of the nicest country guesthouses we’ve stayed at. Awesome staff, delicious food. Gorgeous location. We’ll be back. If you don’t like this place you’re crazy 🤣
- Pj (9/5): Superb - Splendid with fantastic service
- Peter (9/5): Quiet stay in a lovely location - Very friendly and helpful staff. Went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed.
Lovely walks along the sandstone cliffs. Beautiful gardens which are well kept.
Meals were home cooked and very tasty. All good
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - Staff was super helpful
- Khosi (6/5): Pleasant - Farm is beautiful Didn't get any fresh towels.
Breakfast limited
- Boitumelo (8/5): Magnificent,pragtig - I FELT TRANQUILITY HILLTOP
- Sibongile (10/5): A true home away from home. - Easily found in the scenic Fouriesburg mountains with tarred roads leading right to the venue. The all inclusive package offers an abundance of delicious food - three meals a day plus hot beverages in between. Check in is 12 midday, allowing guests to enjoy lunch before unwinding by the pool. instead of lunch, i opted for a picnic basket, which was everything a girl galentining could dream of.
Evenings include fun games in the games room for mingling and networking . Though i skipped bird bingo, i appreciated the hiking trails and tranquil setting-perfect for nature lovers seeking peace and relaxation. Nothing.
- Shelly (9/5): Superb - Great location, very friendly staff
- Glover (10/5): Perfect getaway to reset and relax. - Delicious food. Super friendly staff. Beautiful location.

- Elize (7/5): Very basic for R2200.00 per night at booking.com - Communication
- Priscilla (10/5): My stay was great, staff was great too . We just got frustrated by the food served on our second night and the morning a - The property is great and welll maintained None
- Clive (8/5): Very good -
- Alicia (10/5): Best holiday - The staff and their entertainment for the kids were amazing. All the food was delicious and it was one of our best holidays exploring the nature. There were many walks to choose from and loads of family fun to be had!
Loved the under floor heating in our room, I hate heaters but this was very different as it didn't dry the place out. As well as no heater blankets which was a win as the plag part always catches you in your shoulder. Fresh water to drink out of the taps. There was nothing to not like.
- Kim (5/5): Fairly okay stay - Mountains, surroundings, underfloor heating. Outdated furniture, very ordinary for rate charged, loud band playing till midnight, condiments would be nice in the rooms. Electric blanket would be nicer than underfloor heating. Lighting in the room was poor.
- Gareth (9/5): Superb -
- Urvasha (8/5): Very good -
- Maryke (8/5): Very good - The warm rooms was definitely a bonus for us!
- Bruce (10/5): Exceptional -

They are always friendly ,helpful, smiling and informative. It is superb for family where the kids can venture off in safety . They make you feel like family out to have the best break away . Recommend a stop any season to all.

- Jessica (9/5): Superb -
- Kershlin (7/5): Lovely family holiday. Staff were amazing. - Lovely environment for a family holiday. Kids could be left to roam around and explore.
- Andre (7/5): The place needs maintenance and some money needs to be spent to keep it upscale. - Location
Staff The bed in the room was very uncomfortable. This needs to be addressed. The pillows are old and lumpy.
- Delia (8/5): Relaxing - We went to Wyndford as kids, so it was lovely being back. Everything has stayed the same. Beautiful gardens and hiking routes. The staff do everything they can to accomodate their guests. Our room had a leak through the grass roof which created mould over time. We had to leave the door open all the time to get fresh air in and the musty smell out.
It's sad that the bar across the border plays music on repeat that echoes through the valley, disturbing the peace that once was.
Not many farm animals for the kids that we could see anymore, and the food was very mediocre at times.
- Doris (9/5): Superb -
- Miyelani (5/5): The place is lovely, it’s an antique, secluded, warm and cosy. An update to the bathrooms would make it better 👌🏾 - The farm is in great area, very scenic. Secluded I loved the location. The staff was friendly and helpful. I felt the rooms were aged. The white bathtub has even lost colour. The bed was also uncomfortable for us. The interior was just very old and not really inviting.
- Aniek (9/5): The gorgeous gardens are an absolute oasis! The food was delicious! Great place to rest and explore! - The gorgeous gardens are an absolute oasis!
- 186 (10/5): Fantastic experience I would highly reccomend for a fantastic holiday - Facilities were amazing and the people were brilliant Nothing
- Sandra (8/5): Relaxing stay. Friendly staff members. Good food. - Beautiful nature, old establishment with lots of charm
- Laura (8/5): Very good - Beautiful gardens, great activities such as walks and horserides. We loved the scheduled morning and afternoon teas which was a chance to meet other guests.
- Marta (10/5): Great place with wonderful hosts - Great facilities, including swimming pool, tennis court, golf court, ping pong, and many more. The price includes 3 good meals and coffee and tea during the day. Furthermore, some activities are offered by the accommodation such as hiking tours. The staff is very kind, friendly and very attentive. The rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. Wifi is also quite good.
I saw some comments about old furniture - indeed, some furniture is not new but is is very well maintained so it did not bother us. Plus, extending the life of furniture is very eco-friendly, which we also very much value. Overall, great experience and highly recommended! Everything was good!
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kirsten (10/5): Wouldn't hesitate to recommend! - Staff, venue, hikes and scenery, outstanding!!! Just a little close to the border (noise) but once we knew that the border closed at 10pm it was fine. Our cottage was very close to the generator and the border noise, so we would probably opt for another cottage higher up. And a Kettle would have been great in the room. Bed was okay, I had to layer it with another duvet to get it comfortable. Small points.
- Gail (8/5): Very good - Lovely setting and nicely furnished rooms. Underfloor heating, good hot water. Great selection of products walks nearby Set menu wasn't very child friendly and was quite heavy -lots of cheese sauces and not enough fruit and vegetables.
- Mduduzi (9/5): Superb -
- Santa (9/5): Superb -
- Fikile (10/5): Was literally treated like an egg at the Farm. I enjoyed my stay so much, Chris and Xander were amazing and offered very - Very clean and quiet
- Flip (8/5): Very good -
- Griffin (10/5): They just made our weekend from Hell bearable! Thanks Team! - We had the weekend from HELL! 1 Vehicle broke down, then the vehicle sent to recover it, also broke during the recovery process! The Crew were phenomenal - we came in just after 22:00 with a limping vehicle, and they were waiting up for us, with dinner prepared and waiting in our prepared rooms! On Sunday morning they took us on a relaxing walk while we waited for another vehicle to collect us and the limping vehicle.
We will definitely move all our cross-border stays to them for the foreseeable future!
