Guest Reviews
- David (8/5): - Lovely small house. Clean and comfortable.
- Donna (8/5): - The first 3 nights we were there the bed frame wasn’t stable and wooden slats either broke or fell out. The toilet wouldn’t always flush. I had to take the tank lid off and push down on the blue ball so the tank would fill with water. Then we were able to flush. Rental agency claimed toilet flushed ok when they supposedly fixed bed slats. Living room loveseats very uncomfortable. One has no cushion and you feel the wooden slats only.
- Jennifer (4/5): Disappointed - We had great expectations that were not met - furniture was horribly uncomfortable; refrigerator would not come on despite numerous attempts; washing machine was stuck on an error message and could not be used.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overrated Apartment - In our opinion it is an overrated apartment. Would perhaps still suit a couple OR for less than a week stay.
Location:
Considering the distances in Inverness, it is quite far from the city centre. Would be great for historic site visit though!
Space:
Contrary to what has been advertised, it is actually having quite a limited space. The dining table provided is a foldable one as there is no room to unfold it.
Flooring and bathroom:
Creaking floor boards on the first floor and rather small bathroom. Not recommended for a family stay with children but that's just our opinion.
Comfort:
The sofa provided needs replacement and beds though two are very basic with rather flimsy mattresses. Expect an ongoing back pain after sleeping on those mattresses.
Summary:
Unless you have an overarching reason, would not recommend this apartment to families for more than couple of nights or weekend stay. It is a clever business strategy to have this apartment on hotels.com with no comparison at all to apartments in its league.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good base to explore the area - Comfortable place to stay in a quiet residential location, Local Co-op shop located nearby but the property was also within a short 10-15 minute drive to larger shops, restaurants and town centre. Culloden battlefield and Clava Cairns were also only a short drive away. This was a perfect base to explore Inverness city, Loch Ness and surrounding countryside and tourist attractions.
