Alex greeted us on arrival, just a short walk from the ferry and gave us a tour of the property and showed us a map of the key interest points of the Island. Being from Australia and just before peek season we were lucky to get an upgrade to the Poseidon Mare, a luxury 2br suit with sea views and a large balcony. The room was immaculate, a very Mediterranean vibe with a huge balcony overlooking the private beach and infinity pool. The best place on the entire island to watch the sunset. My photos don't do it justice! The breakfast buffet was also excellent, especially given that not much is available early morning, we had yoghurt and fruit, eggs, meat and a selection of cheese and a variety of fresh cakes. The service was excellent. There is ample space in the resort for relaxing in the sun and a private beach to swim, a large rock wall provides protection from the waves making it very safe and pleasant swimming. I estimate it to be about 7feet deep, very safe for swimming and crystal clear water. The entire resort is spectacular, we highly recommend this for families, couples or small groups seeking the best ocean view of Italy. We will definitely be back, 2 nights was way to short. Thank you to the team for making us feel so welcome and at home at Ischia Blue Resort. The resort was excellent, we would not charge a thing.

The only negative part was that there was little bumpy road from the port to the hotel with luggage and the hotel reception to the elevator was no elevator. The room we had was sea view was absolutely satisfying the purpose of visiting the island. Staff are incredibly friendly, rooms are stunning, breakfast was good. It is literally 5 minutes easy walk from the ferry. Infinity pool takes maybe 4 people - main attraction is the sea bay directly accessed from the sunbed area by pool style steps - sheltered sea swimming - perfect! Infinity pool often occupied by kids for considerable periods of time. Sea/Bay Area is not exclusive to the resort albeit still feels pretty close to exclusive overall. More kids than we had expected but hey Ho. Still 10/10
