• Douglas (9/5): This was the best location for us, visiting child on south side with the most comfortable room. - The three most important things: very quiet, the very dark room, and the most comfortable mattress ever. The breakfast was just okay. The floor in the bathroom had hair on the floor, and could the chrome fixtures need shining.

Shower needs more secure grab rails for those of us with mobility issues. Your snack bar and lack of pop machines is lousy...$4 for a bottle of pop is crazy. Breakfast bar a highlight with ample variety.

The front desk staff was helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to meet our needs. The breakfast in the morning was perfect for all of our hungry boys. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting south bend. We will absolutely be staying here again.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Good Staff, Bad Stay - The hotel was overall clean and the staff was very polite. I want to emphasize that. The shower did not work the first day I was there and there weren’t any other rooms available. I was able to rig it to work but I’m not sure it was ever properly fixed as promised. The hotel had a large number of laborers and contractors staying there and the trucks took up an absurd amount of the parking and blocked the exits to the road. This is the only really bad stay I’ve had at a Holiday Inn Express. While the staff was very polite, I’m going to think twice before making it my preferred choice.

• Erich (8/5): Great Hotel but no Scooby-Doo. - It was clean with a nice modern interior. Staff was receptive and inviting. No Scooby-Doo on the TV though so that was disappointing. There’s also no place to charge a car if you have an electric one which would be nice.
