• Pablo (8/5): Very nice B&B experience in a traditional building strategically placed to visit the city centre. - I really liked the atmosphere and the courtesy of the owner. The location is great to visit the city centre and the B&B is inside a nice traditional building, with the possibility of having breakfast on a terrace where there is sun in the morning. The mattress was a bit too hard, but still ok to sleep on. It would be nice to add traditional Sicilian brioche and maybe something salty to the breakfast.
• Juergen (9/5): Wunderschöner Aufenthalt mit sehr netter Gastgeberin - Ganz wunderbarer Aufenthalt bei Patrizia und Dackel Kiwi. Patrizia ist eine absolut nette Person, die immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stand und dafür sorgte, dass es uns gut ging. Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Gute Lage, ca. 10 min. zum Zentrum.

• Jean (9/5): Un accueil chaleureux - La propriétaire est très gentille et accueillante. La chambre que j'ai eu était bien entretenue. Palerme étant un ville bruyante, le logement est assez bien situé. Pas en plein centre, et dans une petite rue légèrement en retrait d'une rue importante, ce qui limite un peu le bruit. Mais aussi suffisamment proche du centre pour qu'on y accède très facilement à pieds. Egalement à proximité du port. Le déjeuner est fort sucré, mais ça correspond apparemment au déjeuner "classique" en Italie. Si vous êtes plutôt salé, ça pourrait ne pas vous convenir.
• Desiree (8/5): Nice homely BnB - This is a real BnB where you stay in the owner’s home. Someone described it as staying with one’s Aunt. There was a lot of cake for breakfast and we got some savoury pizzas on the last day. It was positioned roughly halfway between the ferry dock and the Teatro/old town. The miniature dachshund was loved by all. There was a verandah where we could sit and chat with the other guests. The bathroom was external (but private) and the shower did not drain well..

• Mirco (9/5): B&B SoleLuna vicino al centro - Consiglio questo B&B a due passi dal centro storico. Si è accolti dalla signora Patrizia sempre gentile e disponibile, le camere sono spaziose e pulite, la colazione proposta con dolci fatti in casa è davvero eccellente. Il prezzo è allineato al servizio proposto.

• Mackenzie (10/5): Welcomed like family- spacious- comfortable- warm- friendly - Everything. Had SUCH a cute dog that greeted you and stayed during the trip in the home. It was such an amazing -partially shared- space. It really felt like you were welcomed into the family. The AC worked fantastic and you could control it in your own room. The breakfast was an INCREDIBLE spread, and the host set it up every morning special. The host was so sweet and made it feel like home. Would definitely recommend. Great location next to historic center and bus stops. Nothing- it was great.
• Treadlightly (10/5): Perfetto in Palermo - Fantastic location for the train station and all the sites of Palermo, especially the marina, which I loved (and hadn't expected). I came here for Teatro Massimo (huge Godfather fan) but the Sunday flea-market and the cathedral and gardens and so many other venues stole my heart. Most of all, though, I appreciated Patrizia's warm hospitality and her home-made apple-cake for breakfast! Perfetto! Grazie, Patrizia. It was perfect.
• Tim (10/5): Warm ambiance in Palermo - We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Soleluna della Solidarietà. Patricia is such a hospitable person. We felt warm and welcome everytime we came back at the b&b and when we had a delicious breakfast in the morning. The room is spacecious, clean and the bed is really comfortable. Located quite close to the main shopping street and interesting area's of the city , makes this b&b with Patricia and kiwi (the dog) a great choice if you want to experience warm italian hospitality during your stay in Palermo. • Alice (8/5): Good city centre base, friendly host - Friendly host, good location near the port (late arrival scheduled by ferry). Walkable to main town centre sights. The kids enjoyed playing with the host's small dog. The room for a family of 4 was a bit tight on space and it was a bit inconvenient having the bathroom across the hallway.
• Elaine (7/5): A good clean B & B ..little bit of a walk from the main areas of touristy attractions. - I loved the old building and it's original features and the lovely colourful scheme in the B & B iteself. It was lovely and homely and the owner has a little friendly dachshund doggie that you can keep company or vice versa if the need be :-) ... Breakfast room is large and inviting and breakfast was standard meditirranean fare. Patricia is lovely and is like being one of your Aunties. She does work during the day so I felt a bit conscious of that coming and going particularly at night if we were coming in late. But she is a very nice lady. She also has an older lady who comes in and does the cleaning and she is also very lovely. Patricia allowed us to use the kitchen to prepare our own salad etc if we had bought some take-away instead of eating out. That was very helpful and we just helped clean up and dry dishes etc.. Pretty much the only thing I would have liked a private in room bathroom rather than having to go down a hall to my own bathroom..I wasn't expecting that! - I would have preferred to know ahead of time that that was what they meant by private bathroom! - I may have brought a dressing gown with me then! - Also, the terrace looks onto the back of all the other old apartments and is not pretty at all - So no view. But it was nice to be able to eat outside on a terrace if too warm inside. And lastly the noise from the front of the building. We could hear the rubbish collectors most of the night - it was very noisy. Also, when you get out of the building - Turn Right....that will take you to the nice part of the city and the historic area - if you turn left you are heading into a much rougher and more gritty/commercial area and not probably what a tourist is looking for!! .. Just a bit of advice as we had no idea.

• Hadar (4/5): Disappointing… not sure why it has such high reviews - The staff were lovely and the location is pretty good. I would say the highlight was the little sausage dog. I was quite disappointed and shocked that it had such high reviews. The WiFi wasn’t great, the shower pressure and temperature weren’t good. The towels weren’t soft. The breakfast was terrible. The bedroom door didn’t lock so I had to push a chair during the night while I’m sleeping to keep it shut. It didn’t feel like a hotel, it felt like staying at my grandmas house.
• Antonia (9/5): thank you Patrizia for a lovely stay in Palermo! - Patrizia and her little dog Kiwi were absolutely charming and accommodating! Big room with a little balcony and wardrobe, desks, chairs, nightstands - most importantly in the August heat - a really good A/C! Convenient location, breakfast with great variety (mostly sweet as the Italians do). The "vintage" elevator was also great for getting up to the second floor with luggage. the bathroom (which was separate from the room on the hallway) was very clean but unfortunately it was also very damp and stuffy due to the lack of a window/fresh air. The shower curtain could be replaced.

• Catalin (9/5): very good - We're talking about a private apartment located at the 2nd floor of an old builing. I didn't use the elevator. The zone is safe (in front of Palermo's Administration authority building), at about 25 minutes walking by Palermo Centrale & bus terminal station. As well, you may take the bus 101 to reach the location (5-10 minutes). The Palermo's highlights are 10 minutes walking. The host & Kiwi "the Dachshund dog" welcomed me - thanks for all. My room was very large and it had air conditioning system, TV, good WiFi. The bathroom is an external one, but very clean and located near my room. I use to eat only a crossaint & coffee and I found them there. The room's window points to an small internal yard (about 3 x 4 meters) and somehow the sensation of suffocating is present. As well, the seagulls are very noisy at 4-5 a.m., but this is not the property's fault :)

• Rafael (9/5): Superb - Everything was great and my stay there felt very cozy and familial. The breakfast was plenty, fresh and enjoyable. When I booked I was a bit concerned that, given the location in the middle of Palermo, it might be a bit noisy at night, but I was very positively surprised that everything was super quiet and I slept well. Everyone at the property was very kind and considerate. I would stay here again.

She has a gorgeous little dachshund. Breakfast was plentiful, Italian style with fruit, yogurt, cakes. Had my own separate bathroom down the hallway. Location was great, between the markets and sites, and the port from which I caught ferry to aeolian islands. Bed was a bit hard for me.
