• Markus Nowak (9/5): Sehr zu empfehlen - Zimmer war groß mit einem schönen Balkon mit toller Aussicht. Personal war sehr freundlich und das Frühstück war sehr gut. Lage ist sehr gut, ca 15 zu Fuß zum Zentrum. Garage direkt unter dem Hotel war top! Die Zimmer waren hellhörig und die Eingangstür hatte bei Wind geklappert.

• Andreas (10/5): Overall good accommodation and facilities! :) - Nice specious room, good view of positano as well! Outside the ztl zone is it is convenient. They also provided private parking at the hotel for a small charge, worth it instead of looking around to find parking. It is a bit far from the beach and the main life of the city. It looks close from the map but you have to walk 10-15 mins around the hill to go to the main center. Up and down hills. If you don’t mind, go for it!

• Jeremy (10/5): Spectacular view and terrific host. Very clean and comfy room and the breakfast exceeded expecations - The view is spectacular and the host was very helpful and kind. The breakfast was one of the best that I have had in Italy! The location is great and its not a difficult trip down to the shopping area. The walk is pleasant if you take the road instead of the steps going up.
• Joan (10/5): - We had an absolutely amazing stay here in positano. The room was spotless with an amazing balcony view. The staff was so kind and went above and beyond to make our trip comfortable. I was worried about pulling into the garage they have for parking before my arrival but they maneuvered it for me. The parking was also so easy and a huge bonus if you are driving. There was a pathway with stairs leading down to the center of positano that was very easy to use. The breakfast was also delicious, especially with the view.

• belgische man (10/5): Zalige b&b bovenaan Positano - Het is een prachtige b&b, gelegen aan de 'bovenkant' van Positano, met een mooi uitzicht. Het ontbijt was heerlijk, het was rustig zitten op het ruime terras. De gastheer en vrouw waren heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamers waren heel ruim en comfortabel. Voor ons is er helemaal niets tegengevallen, maar hou rekening met vele trappen als je naar het centrum/haven wilt stappen. Je kan ook wel de bus nemen.

I kept the door of the bathroom closed and tried to keep the window in the room open for a little bit, hoping the smell would vanish. There are no windows in the bathroom. I did not have the chance to say this to the staff. I hope there might be a way to resolve this as the hotel is very nice, very nicely decorated, in a very nice position and staff is great.

The staff are all so lovely, have a lot of great tips for Positano and suggested the most fantastic restaurant for dinner. The best part about this hotel is the incredible views from the balcony. Just amazing! The rooms are big and spacious and we didn’t want to leave. Thanks again!
• michaelmQ5028KX (4/5): Disappointing experience at Il Moro. - Disappointing stay: Cleanliness concerns, pests, and an unhelpful response. Stayed September 2–6, 2025 in a second-floor room. Housekeeping wasn’t up to standard. Despite requesting service, the top sheet with existing stains remained on the bed throughout our stay. We also dealt with insects—mosquitos and numerous ants inside the room—and even found a bug in the bed. The likely entry points seemed to be the open-air door vents and a bathroom window that was already open on arrival and not safely reachable to close. Breakfast hygiene was disappointing: flies repeatedly landed on the buffet (the door was kept open) and I encountered dirty cutlery. Location: Although not the "fault" of management, please keep in mind that this hotel is located on a dangerous, winding road with NO PEDESTRIAN WALKWAY. We nearly got ran over several times. Additionally, there is heavy stair-climbing required to get from the beach/"main area" to the hotel. Management’s post-stay response largely denied or minimized what we reported (e.g., saying sheets were changed one day, suggesting pests arrive if guests leave food, and attributing flies to weather). No concession or meaningful remedy was offered, even though I had photos/videos as evidence. At this price point, I would suggest looking at another property closer to the beach/"main area." More general advice to anyone considering Positano--- if you can't stay closer to the beach, then stay in a neighboring village (like Ravello) and visit Positano for a day. The area is generally overhyped with poor beaches and overpriced tourist traps.

• Mark (10/5): Romantic Getaway - The breakfast every day was awesome, with a lot of variety in its offerings. The location was easy to navigate using our feet and the bus line. Ricardo, who was our host for most of the trip, was fun, knowledgeable, and made an amazing cappuccino! Gaetano was also an incredible help making reservations for us. Both gentlemen were helpful and quick to assist when needed. Housekeeping staff were also kind and did a great job keeping us comfortable. There was nothing we didn't like!
• alisont10 (10/5): Perfect Positano Stay - Our stay at this charming Positano hotel was made truly special thanks to Riccardo, who was an absolute delight from the moment we arrived! He warmly welcomed us, helped with our luggage, and made sure we had everything we needed, including a fantastic breakfast each morning that kept us full for most of the day. On our last day, when my husband suffered from severe seasickness during a yacht outing and even lost our room key, Ricardo went above and beyond, coming to assist us and showing such kindness and care. Riccardo helped make a car-service reservation for us before our departure. And, knowing we had an early 4am check out, he thoughtfully prepared and brought a beautiful breakfast to our room the night before, so we could leave with a full belly (breakfast was served from 8-10am). I almost forgot to mention that he made such delicious coffee for us each morning, too! We would absolutely return and highly recommend this cozy, friendly hotel to anyone visiting Positano.
• pierre (10/5): Great location and pleasant stay. - Great location, with private parking event though was charged extra at €20/day (value for money considering most places along the Amalfi cost charge €7/hr, and, they even allowed us to keep our car there till quite late on the day of check out. The hotel itself is blessed with a lift straight to the rooms and reception. The staff were very, very friendly and helpful. If you are able to walk it is quite easy to get to the main centre of town by foot , despite the many steps down, the way back is a bit more challenging but doable. There is also a bus service available. The breakfast served was very nice. And the overall experience was very pleasant and relaxed. Thanks.

We are welcomed with cold freshwater upon arrival and plenty of advice on what to see and what to do in Positano. The staff were exceptionally accommodating, and the room was lovely. • Hanseung (10/5): Perfect Family Stay with Unforgettable Terrace Views, Warm Hospitality - We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Positano. The facilities were very well maintained, and the room was spacious and clean, perfect for our family of three. The private terrace was generously sized, and both the room and bathroom were spotless. The view from the terrace, especially during the morning and evening, was absolutely worth every penny. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, which was fresh, varied, and delicious. And of course, tasty coffee as well. A special thanks to Riccardo (hope I got the name right!), who kindly assisted us throughout our stay from check-in to check-out, with warm and professional service. He made our experience even more memorable. Thanks a lot. As with many places in Positano, the hotel is located at a higher elevation, so be prepared for some uphill walking. However, a nearby bus stop and small supermarket made things very convenient. Overall, we had no complaints and would gladly stay here again on a future visit.

A beautiful little spot in Positano with everything you need. Of course there are many stairs to get to the main town but that is Positano and you will get stairs not matter what, however, you can get to this hotel by car and there are no stairs when to your room The air conditioning is very noisy and we opted to sleep without it on because of this.

Even gave us some prosecco because it was my husband’s birthday 😍 Not the hotel’s fault - We booked this hotel to be at a higher altitude so that we could have a nice view, but that comes with a cost - the hotel is far away from the center and from any restaurant. You have to walk a lot to get something to eat and when your feet hurt (after hiking) is not nice at all - a lot of stairs that will eventually make your knees hurt really bad. I wouldn’t recommend it for older people or if you have issues with your knees.

I also really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast buffet as they had coffee, fresh orange juice, pastries, eggs, fruit, and more. It’s about a 15 minute walk from the central part of Positano, but the walk isn’t too bad and there’s also a bus you can take which the front desk explained how to use. Overall I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend if you’re visiting Positano!

• Eric (10/5): - Off the beaten path so you will need to do a little more walking than required from other locations. This is nice because as you go lower in Positano the alleys are shoulder to shoulder with people. Staff was great and helpful with everything.

• Dumitru (10/5): Immaculately good - Absolutely stunning views over Positano. Very clean and beautifully decorated place. The breakfast is pretty good as well (however don’t expect chips or bacon). Riccardo is an amazing host, very helpful, positive and friendly. We are very happy that we stayed exactly here. Positano is all about steps and uphill climbing. For some it might be tricky to climb the steps if you’re coming from the port or city centre. For sure it’s not the downside of this property.
• James (10/5): - This place is a treasure. The view is spectacular. There is a large breakfast selection. The rooms are clean and very spacious. One suggestion I have is to not disregard the instructions to take the bus up the hill. We walked up the first time and regretted it.

The hotel is at the top of Positano so use the porter service at the port for your luggage and be prepared for lots of steps! If you’re looking for a relaxing Positano experience with an incredible view then this is the hotel for you

Parking available if requested (essential if driving as parking elsewhere limited). Amazing service by Ricardo- so helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and made sure we had a great time. He organised restaurant dining with transfers. Getting to the Beach and market requires a short walk on the main road and then 300 steps- steps not an issue for me, my wife and 9yr old daughter but we had to go in single file down the road. Lovely breakfast, great coffee with amazing views. We felt truly spoilt by Ricardo. A lovely stay Nil
• Ruy (10/5): - We loved staying at Il Moro, very helpful staff and gorgeous views, and we had a beautiful terrace overlooking Positano. It took a little bit to walk up to our place, and we could have taken the bus, but they helped us book a porter service for our bags, and we had so much fun wandering our way up and taking in the incredible views as we got higher and higher. The bed was clean and very comfortable, and the host helped us learn the best ways to navigate the buses and the walking paths to fully enjoy our time in Positano. Also he made great recommendations for dining. Would definitely come back!

• Juan (8/5): - A small, quaint yet elegant hotel with amazing views of the coast. Their breakfast service is excellent with fresh and healthy meals as well as made to order coffee! The rooms are quite large, air-conditioned and clean with full sized bathrooms that are neatly arranged and their customer service is very friendly and easy to communicate with. The young gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and friendly although they do not have around the clock front desk staff so this was definitely worrisome if something were to come up past business hours all one could do was call the customer service line or communicate via WhatsApp chat, but they were very responsive and reliable. Will stay again!

Other than the further location it was perfect and will consider staying - Amazing views, wonderful breakfast, clean hotel and the kindest staff - shout out to Ricardo, he made our stay beyond wonderful and will be back one day! Quite a far walk to the central square and lower Positano so I don’t recommend it for guests who don’t have as much stamina / walking in the heat.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing view, good parking, far from main area - Located at the top of the mountain the view was incredible. The room was nice, clean and had an amazing balcony. While it was about a 10-20min walk away from the main area (depending on your fitness level) it was great overall. It offered breakfast, great service and parking (at an additional cost). Overall would recommend but wished it was closer to the main area.

The staff guy was more than helpful and friendly he showed us every single special location on the Positano map and advise us to visit them and show us how to get it Nothing at all
