The addition of a ceiling fan (or an AC system with a more powerful fan) would help.

Breakfast was great and the bar was awesome as well, only issue was being woken up around 2am from the noise not only outside but also in the hallways of the hotel, I know the hotel staff can’t do too much about the outside noise but should be on top of it for the inside noise especially at 2am, regardless would stay again and happy with my choice

I booked this hotel because of the reviews I had read. I wasn’t sure about the location. Turns out that the reviews were right. It was a great hotel in a great location. A little mini mart (so to speak) out the front door. A clean laundromat less than 1 minute away (btw, the washing machines add their own soap, no need to purchase). So many bars, restaurants, shopping or bistros within a 5 minute walk in either direction. Truly a great stay.

The staff were so kind and so helpful. Roberta helped us plan many adventures to the beach, a sunset boat tour of Albufera, dinners, etc. The only downside of this property is that you can hear everything in the hallway and outside, but even so, I would still stay here again!

The rooms are comfortable and well thought out with good size washroom, mini fridge and balconies that open. Don’t miss the rooftop for breakfast (very reasonable). - Sheryl (10/5): Lovely hotel in a central position - We had a two night stay with friends to visit Valencia. The hotel is very central in the old town with lots of places to eat and drink nearby. Check in and out were seamless and all staff we engaged with were courteous and professional. We walked to the hotel from the central train station working 10 minutes. The room was nicely appointed, comfortable and clean with complementary drinks being a nice touch. On occasion there was a drain smell in the lobby area but that can be the case in any locations. I would highly recommend this hotel.

It surrounded by pedestrian areas so not a lot of taxi access so if you have a lot of luggage, it’s a little challenging but not impossible to get into. Hotel was very nice and comfortable. Room was tight and small but otherwise hotel was great.

This is a very pleasant boutique hotel: the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable with spacious bathrooms and the Cafe Madrid cafe/bar is well worth a visit.

Our train from Valencia was canceled but the hotel staff made an exception after we had already check out and got us a quiet space for an important meeting I had to attend. The room and balcony were gorgeous and the doors are sound proof so you can’t hear any street noises. Very well connected and adjacent to cafe Madrid which has excellent vibes. I highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to go back again.

Beautiful bathrooms. Room we had which was a basic room was a little small to open and use suitcases while walking around the room. Fun looking bar attached to the hotel which we didn’t have a chance to visit but it looked fun and busy. Bike shop a few doors down so very convenient to hire bikes. Definitely would stay here again.

There is a lovely vibe throughout from the bar/cafe on ground floor through 24 hour reception and public areas to beautiful roof terrace lounge. Staff very friendly and helpful. We were even able to borrow electrical adaptor to charge mobiles.

- Andres (4/5): - I must say that the customer service in the hotel was outstanding !! From the moment we arrived to the time we left we felt appreciated and welcomed. It goes without saying that the location was magnificent. However, the facilities of the hotel were less than desirable. For starters, the general smell that permeated the hallways was pretty bad. It truly smell like sewer. In addition, we had trouble with the air conditioning and the drainage of the shower. This left us very dissatisfied and turned off. I am not sure if I could recommend this place. The receptionists, specially the night shift staff were outstanding.

- Nola (10/5): - Our stay at the MYR Marquis was wonderful. It's a small hotel and the staff make you feel well cared for. It was my husband's birthday and they surprised him at breakfast and later with a gift in our room. It was completely unexpected and a wonderful touch. The service at breakfast was outstanding, it's clear that the team working at the hotel really likes their work. I would highly recommend.
- Sonya (10/5): - Wow! What a beautiful hotel. It was exactly as it was photographed. We were visiting our son who is studying abroad at Valencia University and Marquis House was only about 15 mins from his dorm. We loved everything about this hotel. The service was great, the staff was lovely. We had breakfast every morning at their rooftop cafe ( which also serves lunch ) and were met with an attentive and friendly staff. A special recognition to Angela who greeted us each morning with a warm smile and a beautiful spirit. The location was perfect right in the heart of the city, with shops and dining. All in walking distance. Their tapas restaurant Cafe Madrid on the ground level was always busy with excitement and good times. Although they don't take reservations, they were able to accommodate our group of 11, and what a great night of fun memories were made. We will definitely return to the enchanting city of Valencia which has stolen our hearts and will absolutely stay at the Marquis House, no need to search for another lodging!
- gary (2/5): - This hotel literally stinks. It has a severe odor problem from the sewage system. I had to change rooms after practically vomiting thanks to the foul odor. The staff was unhelpful and unsympathetic- telling me that such odors are “common” in Valencia. At $300 per night I expected a kinder and more professional response. Highly discourage potential guests from risking a pleasant stay in Valencia with the unpleasantness of inhaling sewar gasses during their overnight stay.

- Matthew (10/5): Incredible Stay in Valencia for Fallas 2024 - The staff at the Marques House Hotel was incredible. Great communication and useful information by messages through the app leading up to our arrival date. Our travel plans had to be adjusted due to some flight delays and the staff was spot-on for us and had everything ready when we finally arrived. The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring the Central City of Valencia, especially during Fallas. We had a junior suite and the room was fantastic all around. With all the Fallas noise, all we had to do was close the balcony doors and the room was quiet. Remember to put your key card in the little slot just inside the door so the lights work when you are in the room. It took us a couple of minutes to figure that out. My wife's roller broke and shorted out which caused a circuit breaker to trip and the room go dark...the staff responded within five minutes and had everything back up and running and were very understanding and helpful. Overall, this Hotel and the Staff made our stay in Valencia a wonderful experience...cannot wait to return to the Marques House Hotel!!

- Derrick Stephen (8/5): - Located in the old city, close to the major tourist attractions. The staff could not have been more helpful. The room had everything we needed, although not much space for storage of cases. Overall we were very happy with this hotel.
- Paula (4/5): - Where to start. When I checked in the man told me breakfast was included. When I checked out I was charged £19 per day for the breakfast. She showed me a printout that showed it was not included and apparently when I initialed that I received breakfast it was considered a signature that I would pay for it. If I left without paying, I am sure they would call the police. She kept saying rude things about me being confused and a language barrier because I am American. They spoke English so there was no language issues. She was obviously very irritated by “Americans” which she said 3 times. The room was extremely noisy both from outside and in the hallways. The curtains did not close properly and lights on the exterior of the building made the room quite bright all night. The refrigerator didn’t work and I was told it would be replenished daily, however, after the first day, I received only 2 small bottles of water. The sparkling water was never replenished. I paid for a superior room so it included a spa day. The spa was filthy. The water was cold, green with algae and smelled terrible. What a waste of time. Staff was rude except for housekeeping. I enjoyed Valencia but I recommend avoiding MYR hotels.

I stayed in the interior room and it was surprisingly large - shower was particular good and had great water pressure. The room was very clean too. Highly recommend.
- Mary (10/5): - My five day stay was amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for seeing many sights. Valencia is a very safe and walkable city. Enjoyed the breakfast in the hotel and other amenities as well. The attached bar was lively!

- Farhana (10/5): Gem of a find - Excellent stay at this hotel - central location a minute away from Plaza del Reina. all major attractions within 10 mins walk, Val Cathedral was a 3 min walk . Close to all major shops and plenty of restaurants. Service is exceptional. Friendly, courteous and helpful reception staff who were always prompt and even checked in on us when our flight was delayed. Room is small but impeccable and the bathroom is amazing. Toiletries smell great and are a sustainable eco friendly brand. Breakfast is great, loved the fact that you choose off a menu and its freshly prepared so there is no wastage. Bryan and the other breakfast staff were so helpful and served us with a smile each day. we will definitely be coming back. Also thank you to the front of staff team for their excellent service - Mauro, Daniela and the Spanish lady with the long hair! you were all fab. lastly this hotel has an amazing bar - Cafe Madrid is a gem - excellent range of cocktails, and for a non drinker like me, their no alcohol cocktails were amazing (try the Emblesso) - bar staff were fab.
