- Christopher (8/5): First Time in Pattaya - Punyapha Beach Villas is a decent lodging option for Pattaya. It is close to the beach, restaurants, and a gym. If you haven't rented a scooter (and I suggest you don't if you're not familiar with the area and how they drive), it may be hard to get a taxi to take you anywhere. The rooms are sizeable and adequete, but not overly luxurious. The deluxe room I booked was not available the first night, so they put me in a much smaller room for the first night. I'm not sure if this was a Hotels.com issue or an issue with the property but there was a lack of communication somewhere. The price point is great, but don't expect a lot of interaction with the staff unless you're going for breakfast. My stay was satisfactory, but I would staty elsewhere if I decide to venture back to Pattaya.
