Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (6/5): Imperial guest house - The house had no signage to let you know it was a guest house. Room was adequate but shared bathroom looked like it was the home owners, shower cut out every minute for a few seconds then started again. Imperial it wasn't.
- Tracey (8/5): - The floorboards were terribly squeaky and must have been awful for anyone in our neighbouring room or downstairs .
The kitchen was clean spacious and well stocked.
I liked the additional touches like the hairdryer and access to the garden where we picked some blackberries for breakfast.
- Frances (8/5): Great B and B - The Oxford Imperial gives a very personal stay. Room was comfy, breakfast and food offered was really good. The area is a quiet safe residential street, with the High Street a 6 minutes walk away, with 3 pubs a few more minutes further.
We would have had to share bathroom facilities, but we were the only guests. There’s plenty of space, lovely garden, TV in lounge and each room. Large kitchen area, generous food and drink supply
- Victoria (8/5): Great place if you just want a bed for the night - A really good option for us as my daughter and I were at a local event - 10 minutes away. We just needed a room for the night as we were there the following day. We didn't have to worry about long check-ins. We were texted the details to get in, together with where our room was located within the house. We arrived around 10.45pm and everything was there for us. Towels, tea, coffee - even cake, biscuits, sweets and bottled water! There was Netflix and Amazon Prime on the telly, and the bed was comfortable. It was a very hot day and we were grateful to see a large fan in our room. The bathroom is nothing special. It was functional. There was no mirror in our room but we coped! Going down for breakfast was straightforward. Lots of cereal, toast, packets of croissants and pain au chocolat, my daughter was pleased to see the pop tarts! The only real issue we had was finding the place! It looks like a normal house in amongst all the others - there is no sign! It is number 84 (if that helps) and I have posted a bigger photo of the frontage. Parking is on the street - which is fairly straightforward. Overall a pleasant stay in a comfortable bed - great for what we needed. Don't go expecting a 5 star hotel - it isn't, and they don't market it as such!
